Yeup, I saw this too. I dont know what to think... I didnt like the first part of big O that much, so now it doesnt really matter. Maybe this new stuff can make me a believer :D I figure that atleast we will get to see the newest of the newbies by seeing who's gonna be boasting that new series.. the big O.

Dude... taylor hewitt... I dont know a thing about you, but atleast with the post you opened with, I would say I know some stuff for you. First off... look into the ak-47 also known as and more commonly known as, the Kalashnakov. (SP?) Kalashnakov is the man who invented the ak-47. The ak was the first of its kind in a very specific sense... a reliable, cheap, easily produced, main battle rifle. (for any military) The ak was based around the idea of being able to throw sand into the bolt and still be able to fire. In other weapons, the parts are all very carefully placed in the gun and all fall together perfectly like a puzzle. The 47 on the other hand is built with the idea of keeping the parts (in number) to a bare minimum and keeping them seperated. (as to allow proper function in cases such as the sand example mentioned above) The ak-47 uses a 39 calibur 7.62 mm round. Very strong and dangerous. However, the gun is not perfect. Due to mass production by chinesse and soviet block countries, the ak has now been diluted to an in-accurate weapon of the third world. The ak spawned dozens and dozens of weapons, all of which are similar to the original. That little "bin laden gun" (thats always with him in the videos)... its a kalashnikov. (kalashnikov can be used to name any of the Kalashnikov designs.) On the other hand, we have rifles like the m-16. Its current incarnations are excellent weapons. The differences between the ak and the m16 are amazing and as different as night and day. However, the m16 isn't a complete piece of crap compared to the amazing gun described above. The m16 uses a smaller bullet .223 calibur 5.56 mm. but, this very round allows for a great advantage in battle... The battle load of an ak47 with 100 rounds is a "standard" load. With the same wieght, the m16 can carry 280 rounds. Along with the excellence of design (in terms of technical ability and performance) the m16 holds its own quite well. Another important fact about these weapons that you will learn one day, is that they both have many forms ranging from the kar-15 to the ak-74. Hit me with a pm or instant message if you ever wanna learn what I will not post... there is far more than I could ever know... I might be able to help you on your way to learn it all. I will come back and post some pictures along with some talk about other amazing designs like the m-2 .50 calibur machine gun. (the longest serving america battle impliment) So just post or something and let me know what you think.

Ive seen a good number of screen caps from the game and it looks pretty good to me. Plus, it looks like it may play like the old arcade games. If it is a 3d/cell shaded game that plays like the old ones, we're in for a great game that may be a "sleeper hit" so to speak. Im gonna rent it and pending that, it'll be a part of my small collection.

Oddly I came back to this to correct what I said. As I mentioned, I went back and read the magazine and noticed it was doa online and not doa 3. Good call, you beat me to it. Plus, I've never played any doa game, so I might like it, might hate it.

Yeah, I remember how it was called souledge but I just neglected to mention that... However, I would totally have to agree with you. The edge master mode where you went around doing challenges and getting weapons was awesome. Im not sure, but I think my "game informer" magazine mentioned that part of the game will be in sc2. Thing is, I really dont know... I'd have to go look it up. But yeah, the edge master mode was awesome. I also spent endless hours playing that game and unlocking everything from all the charactors (including the rediculus sophitia bathing suit charactor to the evil sigfreid. *he rocked*) Basically, Im looking forward to sc2 so I can get a new fighter into my line up. I wasn't very impressed with tekken 4. (just not enough of a difference from tekken tag/ tekken 3) I heard that the next doa game is coming out... doa 3, and from what I hear, its gonna be pretty damn good. Still no word on what systems that will go to, but I know its gonna be on the xbox.

Just so some of you guys, who might not know, know... There is another game that came to the u.s. and it may be the same thing as sc for the dreamcast, but I really dont know. It was for the playstation and it was called "soul blade." It was a great game actually and I am sure it is related to the soul caliber series. Infact, it has all the charactors. So Im sure of it, but I dont know exactly how close the two games are. (sc and sb) Anyway, let me know if you've played soul blade.

I think otaku means something to the likes of "comic reader" or fanboy. (more or less) Just to cite an example of otaku being used as a description of a person... faye calling all hackers nerdy otaku's. Im pretty sure it means a person who reads comics.

I could never express what I want to. Just know I feel absolutly horrible and hope that you can cope with this for now. I honestly believe your child is in a better place. I just wish I could see you in person to talk about this, and try my best to comfort you... but that is for your family and friends to do. Im sure they are doing so, and for that, I thank them. There are many of us here at the boards that care very much, so please know we send our deepest regards. I just dont know what to say... I will pray for you and your family.

On a ethical and moral level I have no problems at all with the gay population of America engaging in the act of marriage. I also support the right to do so. (contrary to what the liberals who know me may think of this old conservative.) However, one part of my support is also based on the better good for the country... That being the tax break these hard working (gay) Americans could recieve if they were to become married. Then on the moral level I believe it is alright for these people to become married for two reasons. 1. Each man or woman of this great land should be entitled to all and any rights that any other citizen shall recieve. 2. The very heart of any marriage is the bond between the two people marrying. As long as both partners honor this commitment, the institution of marriage will be as strong and honest as it ever was. Well that says it all for me. (or close to all)

Ok, thanks, I just always called that the saturday night adult swim. I gotta mention on that topic that I love the animated batman and superman episodes. (those are awesome) I also loved how those two used to be in the "rising sun" hour. It will be nice to see kenshin move to something and not just disappear like inuyasha did. once a week is better than nothing, I guess. I would still prefer to see the daily showings as usual.

Ok, my first gripe with the rk on cn is now coming out. Nothing as stupid or cheesy as the usual whining. This is the real deal... a legit complaint about the way cn did an obvious error in the edit. This last episode, something about the "rebirth of angi" had a moment where sano was down and about to pass out... Kenshin walked over to hear sano explain he would catch up, and as he did so, it showed sano's face. It had a small line of blood coming from his eye and the corner of his mouth. After about 2 seconds of it being there, it just dissappeared. I dont care about them taking it away, I just care about the fact they couldnt even do it right... If your gonna edit, atleast edit right. All or none cn, all or none. lol.

Whats sves stand for... a channel of sorts I assume? Kenshin will come on soon, and I may edit afterwards. However, yesterday with sano left an intresting note.

AH ! So there is someone else playing this game after all... I just beat the boss mode. It was tough, but I found a good way to cheat. First make the match count 1, then make the damage level at it max. This makes it so you only have to engage the opponent a minimal amount. (that makes it easier for me since I only have to win a few engagments, and not a bunch of them.) After that, go into the boss mode and kick as much arse as possible... if you start to lose... Well since there are no continues in boss mode, just play with the second player controller next to you. Then you can just hit start and not matter whats going on in the match (as long as you haven't lost yet) a new challenger will come in and save you from the loss. That way you will get a new chance after beating down the fake challenger, and you will still be on the same level in boss mode. After beating boss mode you get the "extra options" mode, which is in the option mode and can give you varying types of vitality gauges, crash guard gauges, and grooves. This includes a no damage life gauge, an infinite groove gauge and a no damage crash guard gauge. If you dont know how to get boss mode just ask in this thread, although I may have mentioned it already. Also, if you beat all the charactors in the "all" survival mode, you will get an "ex" groove that can be customized to use more than 4000 points. (Im in the middle of that now) So I will be back in a lil' while... till then. *edit* Just wanted to come back and let you all know that I bet all of the 48 players in survival... Really, really easy with the extra options set up. Now I have unlimited points for custom grooves. Also if you guys are intrested in some more of the lesser known stuff, I know a few things that you might like... For example, when in the color edit mode, hit start and it will bring up a strange option list with all sorts of stuff to do to the charactor. Also, if you want to change a certain area to a color that is already on the charactor, you can go to the color you want to duplicate, hit square, then go to the color you want to write over and hit triangle. This will recolor any area with the selected color... if you guys want more just hit me up on aim or something... hell, maybe in this thread. :D

Hey... I have this game and actually started a thread about it long, long ago. Just as with this one, it got very little attention. However, even though I bought the game, I didn't play it much... until last week. I got back into the game hardcore and now am in love. Tons of charactors, 6 different grooves, and all sorts of little things to keep the players coming back. I have personally, unlocked the groove editor, which is awesome, and I am currently working on beating the boss mode, which I also unlocked. After beating boss mode, I will get unlimited points to create my own groove in the groove editor. This will be the best because I will be able to make a groove that is unmatched by any of the other grooves, including all of the special systems. (just defense, parrying, etc.) I also want to mention the little things that I love about the game... the way almost every charactor has an interaction with another specific charactor in arcade mode before the match begins. This is often pairings like ryu and ken, mai and chung-li, yuri and sakura, and a bunch of others, but they are all sweet little nothings to keep my intrest alive. (plus those great animations after you win a match, such as yuri's shirt opening as she crys out in embaressment and falls to her knees.) ARTommy, go ahead and post here again sometime, cause I will be back with any advice, info, tips or cheats you wanna talk about... or just plain appreciation of the game. Talk to you then... bye.

So did anyone notice the voice actor who played faye is also the person playing the voice of the woman at shishio's side? Also, did anyone notice the changes of artistic style during yesterdays episode? Kenshin went into a rage and during that time he started screaming loudly and he was drawn in a style that showed large white eyes with no pupils. That was sorta a suprise, but I liked seeing him get all pissed off like that. Its sweet when kenshin losses himself and reverts to unrestrained use of his true power. Anyway... back when ever I get to catch another episode...

Have you guys caught this one yet? I saw "EXM" on tnn of all channels and it was one of the funniest things I've seen recently. Basically, take the dubbing of iron chef, and the humor of a toned down man show, then put down some of the most rediculus game show task and you will get EXM. I dont even know if thats the name. It oddly had an "all asian" line-up of competitors, so I figure it may be from the east. The task of the show I saw were crazy... stuff like swinging on a rope to try and stick to a wall. Every task was based around falling in water and comical stunts, most ending in pain. It was a real laugh. Hope someone else has seen it, although I doubt anyone has... thought I would try anyway.

On a different subject... Has anyone noticed that the voice of shishio is that of spike from bebop? Im pretty sure about it, although I cant really use any refferences besides my own collection of recordings and a good memory for voices.

Im posting at the moment because of a thought I just had... Is it me or is kenshin slowly growing more "vengful" throughout the series as time progresses? I think kenshin is very much becoming more of an aggressive fighter. Maybe its just due to the enemies he is facing in this more recent part of the series, but for some reason it just seems like kenshin is more aggressive than he was at the begining of the series. What do you guys think?

Gaming Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2.... Looks horrible...
Kent replied to Youko Minamino's topic in Noosphere
I'll tell you what they should make... A game with charactors that you build up, a long story line (all of the dbz sagas), multiple players to choose from, and a combat system sort of like kingdom hearts or any of the newer rpg's where you actually control fighting for your self. (in other words, the oppisite of turn based) With the control to fight as you wish you can have fun with the fighting almost like a fighting game. With the charactor build up or stats, you can have the progression of power and rising difficulty throughout the game. Sorry to go off on a rant, 'just having a hard time explaining this to you guys. Budakai 2 looks alright to me with the cell shading, infact, it looks a lot better than I thought it would. SS3 anyone must be quite the player in that game. (if he's there) -
Originally posted by Hittokiri Zero It's Battousai :|!!! It's amazing how people butcher these words... Probably not your fault though...
lol ! Thanks for pointing that one out, I wasn't sure if you guys knew who I was talking about. jk. Also and more importantly, WW2, I have heard someone else say that very same thing about the saito/kenshin fight. btw, its gokents not gotenks. Unfortunatly I have been dealing with some of the real world stuff like work, so my time to watch kenshin has deminished greatly. Im not gonna be buying anime anytime soon, so if you guys would like to talk about the more recent episodes in ways that are not expressed by episode summary pages, I would appreciate it. I will probably come back tommorow after the episode is played. (its my day off to watch) Hopefully someone will have posted by then... bye

Thank you very, very much for bringing this thread back. About a week ago I went to bring this back (with the new eps airing and all) but I noticed that the last person to have posted in it was me a long time ago. So now I can post again, and for that I thank you. However, what I wanted to post about was the new stuff on cn. I mean, hot damn, that was some bad stuff man. I was really excited to see the fight between kenshin and saito. (sp?) Plus, during that fight it showed a side of the show that really hadn't been shown before. With kenshins progression back to the batosai it showed an element of animation that really hadnt been seen yet. The tones and shades of the coloring, along with the very style of the art itself all made for a new and wonderful experience.f I gotta say, the episode where kenshin returned to being the batosai was probably the best ep to be shown yet and I can't wait for the rest of the series so I can see more of this stuff. Dont get me wrong, the series in general is awesome, but the side of the show that was shown with that one specific fight... well that was just awesome. It should also be noted that I was really disappointed to see this thread go for so long with no posting. The new eps had been airing for a while before any one posted here and it really killed me not being able to post on this subject. (avoiding double post like a good member should) So basically, thanks for bringing this back and showing your intrest. And thanks for letting me talk about how excited I was after I saw the episode that went by just the other day. I mean for real... that fight was awesome.

Im 21 going on 22. When I turned 18, the only things different were the fact that I could vote or be prosecuted for certain devious acts, if I was to take them, with a minor. Basically, I think that juna explained it the best. Only I can say there is one thing in his/her statment I cant support. (just yet) That being... "wish I was 16 again." I dont wish that yet, but I know the day will come where all of us wish for our youth to return to us. I pray we all enjoy our lives and appreciate the lives we have been given. We can enjoy life at any age.

Thats really great to see. Im happy for you. Is that a little foot with individual toes I see? Wow, its an amazing thing to me and I am in awe. I wish the best to you and your family... including the newest members.

I just beat the game with the zeon, and now I have the extra mode. Its an advanced campaign where you start with an assortment of mobile suits from both sides. Its hard as hell, but it looks cool. btw, you have to beat the campaign with the federation and the zeon to unlock this mode. For the most part this will sum up the game for me. It was actually a cool game, only one thing dissappointed me... The series included in the game are only the original, 08th, and 0800. I would have really liked to have seen the 0083 stuff there. Unit 1 full vernium. It would have been great to get unit 1 and 2. Another thing was the exclusion of the vulcan arm weapon for the gauf as seen in the 08th ms team series. Oh well, cant have it all... but atleast we can have a good gundam game from time to time. This is one of them.
