The American English dub has some good lines: Android 17 is about to be Absorbed by Cell, when 16 knocks Cell off him. 17: How did you manage to get him off of me? 16: I used one of my HARD punches. Vegeta fighting Pui-Pui "Welcome to the end of your life, and I promise, it's going to hurt. Ready for the pain?" "Maybe if this had been 500 times gravity you would have had a chance, but 10? I don't even feel it." Tien against Cell "I may just be a hole in the road for you, but it's gonna be a DEEP hole! So much for the no-count."
Originally posted by Kaioshin I've posted so many posts on this theory its annoying but anyway:- 1. SSJ4 is the 'true' SSJ form. The gold hair was a reaction to them not having a tail. As they have tails in SSJ4, that is the true SSJ form, that's probably why only Vegeta and Goku can reach those levels, cos they're the only pure-blooded saiyans left. 2. The blonde SSJ forms had higher levels as it was not the true SSJ form, therefore they could strive to reach the highest level - SSJ4! 3. As SSJ4 is the 'true' Saiyan form, there cant be any levels past it! It's just like Vegeta said after he was defeated by androids 17 and 18. He knew the legendary warrior (SSJ) was an unstoppable force. After he was defeated, he figured out that the blonde SSJ wasn't the ultimate form, as he was defeated quite easily, and he knew that he had to ascend to the true, unstoppable form of a Super Saiyan - which is SSJ4!
This is not entirely true. Originally, whenever Vegeta talked about the Super Saiyan legend, in his flashbacks, there was always a picture of a Golden Oozaru. In reality, the "Pure" SSJ form is that of a Golden Oozaru. SSJ2,3, and 4 are levels that NO OTHER SAIYAN had ever reached (not even Brolli, who only got as high as USSJ). Goku and Vegeta are the most powerful Saiyan's ever.

Anime Has anyone else noticed that dbz is off toonaimi????

***Spoilers in this message****
Originally posted by shibatku Yeah I saw some of the supposed new ep's and it the cell games. You can get them like at walmart but its cheaper to tape them as you watch them. I can't believe we have to wait till September to get the new ep's. And they put it back on which is good because for a while there I thought it was off till the new ep's come but I guess not. It is Toonami's oldest running series. I doubt they'd get rid off it, glad its back on at least someone gets to see it new.
No no, dude, those aren't the new ones. I know what you're talking about with the releasing Cell vids/dvd's. Last week they released Cell and Majin Boo eps up until what we've seen on TV (Final Attonement). But next month, they're releasing the NEXT set of vids, AFTER Vegeta blows himself up to kill boo. Febrary 12th or sometime around there. -
Originally posted by BulmaVegeta1 Any news of Vegeta? I want to know when he comes back!!!!:bawl:
As far as I know, Vegeta spends some time training in Hell, and eventually get's brought back for one day to fight (just like Goku was). I think that's when some fusion starts happening between Goku and Vegeta.
Originally posted by Krillen Finally the new episodes arrive in Feb. Im getting sick of these long waits just after somthing good happeneds! Are they showing the rest of the season you know? Or is it just a portion???
They're not showing ANY new episodes on TV in America until September 2002. The "New Episodes" that are out in February 2002 are the ones that are for sale on VHS at your local DBZ video retailer. -
Originally posted by Vegitto4 So it was made by a different person, but it is still accepted as part of the series. Therefore, most of the same rules apply. Its a blooper. There are lot of them in the series':freak:
I'm not so sure... it's not a blooper in DBZ because vegeta explained why it happens... yet another one of vegeta's endless statements beginning with "A TRUE Saiyan..."
Originally posted by Vegitto4 But you guys are mising a certain person who got his hair cut. VEGETA in gt he got his hair cut, and it didn't grow back until he whent SSJ4.
Got me there... then again, GT is a totally different animal...

New Episodes in February refers to the release of Eps on Video, available at your local money stealing outlets... -
My favorite outfit was Gohan's outfit that he wore on his birthday. The White Collarless job. He looked cool.
-
Not a mistake. Vegeta explained it once. A True Saiyan's hair never changes from birth to death. Cut it, and it'll grow right back. (I always kinda wondered about Nappa and a bunch of other saiyans hairs in response to this, but, ah well, it's just a cartoon)

Anime Does this bug you about db in general?
LittleFluteSan replied to Darkness's topic in Otaku Central
You guys are all concentrating on all the older people aging... but the most obvious sign on aging are the kids! Gohan ages throughout the series (I mean, you can tell the difference in his age from Saiyan Sage thru Android sage) not even the most obvious seven year aging he goes through. And the kids, Trunks and Goten as well... so to say that ChiChi is the only one who ages can't tell the forest from the trees. -
Anime Cooler's revenge or bardock the movie
LittleFluteSan replied to gotenssj6_2002's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by gotenssj6_2002 Hey, Thanks for your comments!!!! I was wondering is gohan a baby at the time??????? how come he has a tail? Is vegeta in the movie!!!!!!!!
Vegeta's not in the first cooler movie (movie 5, I believe), and Gohan has his tail (inexplicably). Gohan grows his tail back from time to time (just like when Goku fought Vegeta), and I guess this was just one of those times. But then, in the next movie, CyberCooler, Gohan's tail is gone again. And Vegeta fights in this one... basically, it's the Android saga turned into a movie. Goku fights a bunch of machines, and when Cooler has goku in a death grip, Vegeta kicks him and gets him out... very cool stuff... -
Originally posted by shibatku Well I have seen the ep's up till a little after Master Roshi(Jackie Chung) blows up the red moon and turns Goku back to human from Ooazaru. Any way I can't wait till they show the DBZ Buu Saga again I wish they wouldn't have stopped they actually have the ep's but they won't show it weird.
Oh, I know why they won't show it... think about it... they're gonna release the video's and DVD's for about 2/3rd's of what's left before the end of summer... just like they did with the post-cell stuff. They finished the Cell saga around February, and no new eps until September, but they started releasing the video's in April. I had already bought all the new eps before they started showing new ones... when the other world tournament started until Vegeta's death, there were maybe 10 eps that I hadn't already seen... It's all about the benjamin's baby. They wanna be ballers AND shotcallers... :)

Anime Cooler's revenge or bardock the movie

Let me take nothing away from Bardock, though. The Bardock flick was pretty cool... I wish I had it in Japanese, actually... -
Anime Cooler's revenge or bardock the movie
LittleFluteSan replied to gotenssj6_2002's topic in Otaku Central
I've seen them both. Definetly Cooler's revenge. Goku saves earth. Starring: SS-Goku, Gohan with a tail, Piccolo, Haiya Dragon, Oolong. And when CyberCooler (the sequel) comes out, that one is even better. Goku saves New Namek from the Big Gheti Star with the help of SS-Vegeta as well... good stuff... those 2 movies ROCK. -
Originally posted by The Elite DBZ CN in America already has Dragonball???!?!?!?!?! England are far behind..... Doesn't Goku meet Tien when he fights him at the ultimate fighting tournament??
We already have Dragonball series in the states, yes. But we haven't met Tien yet. It ended at the first Tournament where Goku fights Jackie Chung (aka Kamesenin Mutenroshi) We haven't gotten to the Tien fights or ANY of the Piccolo Daimau, or Piccolo Jr. stuff yet. That starts in fall '02 in the U.S.
-
Me? I'm just curious about Tien. Aside form my favorite character, Tien is the person I like the most... when's he gonna make his debut in the Buu saga, and what's his role?
-
Who is the "he" that you're referring to that meets everyone... Your quesiton is a little ambiguous... what do you want to know besides "everything"?
-
My own personal little amusing viewpoint: The other reason why I think he's Mr. Satan is because he represents America (or at least what the Japanese/rest of world view of America): A clownish, egotistical, showoffy buffoon. And, America is the DEVIL!
-
Originally posted by Duo Maxwell :rotflmao: he he he... yeah. I read somewhere that mr. Satan's name was actually ment to be mr. satin
Doubtful, considering that his daughter's name is an anagram for Devil.
Originally posted by Duo Maxwell Squashed snail don't you watch cheez tv? they've already shown the android & cell saga, and I reckon that the other world tornaments is kinda sucky... oh wait when are they gonna show the eps after cell?
Cartoon Network in America is currently showing the Tournament Saga after the Other World Tournament. They'll proably show all the episodes up till Final Attonement (ending with Vegeta vs. Buu), then start again, probably from the Freeza saga all the way through until Fall '02, when they show the rest of the Buu saga all the way through to the end of DBZ.
Originally posted by SuperSayian 3) I wish they would hurry up and get to the fight with Vegito. Hell, I wish I had the whole series on DVD.
I don't yet think they've released it... not sure, but they should have it all out on DVD WELL before they show it on Cartoon Network in Sept... at the very least, they'll have it on VHS by summertime.
Originally posted by Takato Yes Brolli is the first SSJ.Although Vegita did say that thing about a SSJ coming along every 1000,but none of them had the absolute power that Brolli and the others have.
Originally posted by Blue Shifty LitleFluteSan, where you said it was suspicious hat Tapion lookd like Kaioshin, it really was'nt. When Hildegarn was terrorizing thecity, you saw all the little people running and they all looked the same. So it's not just Tapion, it's the whole race. It's just a coincidence that Kaioshin looked like them.
I knew that Tapion and Shin weren't the same dude, but I saw my half of the Tapion movie right when I first started watching DBZ, and then I remeber seeing a picture of Shin before I even SAW any part of the Buu saga, and I remeber saying to myself, "Man, when America starts showing Buu, I'll get to see Tapion again." Color me retarted.
