2. Soteriophobia The truth is hardest When you keep it Hidden like the artist Who ends in fit ?You moron. You lied to me. To my face. You lied to me.? Rita said, staring me in the face. ?You took Reid out, when you knew, YOU KNEW, that there was a chance that this would happen.? I just sat on my bed, not saying anything. I knew she was right, and I really just wanted to cry on her shoulder. Sadly, I had lost that after I what I did last time. It seemed like what happened was the only thing on my mind as of late. It had all started with the dreams. Dreams of a city on fire, people screaming, knights on horses riding and killing everything. They had seemed to plague my every living moment. The pain and sorrow was real, and I could feel it. Every swish of the sword felt like a deadly wind, every man that died with his family watching, the pain and anguish felt by everyone. It became unbearable, and I attempted suicide without talking to anyone about it. I had the whole thing planned out. The family would head off to their Saturday activities and leave me at home. From there, I?d tie up a noose, and hang myself from the rafters in the attic. From there, it could be days before they found me, and I know that it was a full proof plan. I didn?t equate Rita coming back to the house early. I also didn?t equate the fact that the rafter would give out under my weight, sending me sprawling to the floor and gasping for breath. Of course, Rita heard the noise and came running, seeing me with the noose around my neck. She panicked and called the police, and I wound up in an institution for a week. After I came back, my parents treated me differently. Anytime I asked a question, or tried to start a conversation up, I was treated with a wall of coldness. I hated it, and turned to Rita for comfort, who was always there with a open shoulder to cry on. She understood and listened to my problems with great enthusiasm. She was even the one to encourage me to go back into my social life and attempt to date people again. I finally got the courage to ask someone out, and things seemed to go pretty well. She was found using the five points of contact, and she actually wasn?t all that bad. We had the same tastes in music, and we shard many of the same opinions in world affairs. We could sit for hours in a café somewhere and just talk about stuff. To me, it was some of the best time I ever spent living. The time seemed to fly, and before I knew it, school was over. She and I began to see even more of each other, sometimes the entire day seemed to be filled with various activities. From taking part in local protests, to just sipping coffee and discussing books, we stimulated each other mentally, and I think that was what I needed. As the summer slowly trickled away, my parents began to warm up to me again. They greeted me warmly, and began to treat me like a part of the family. Simple gestures such as hugging me, and smiling at me made all the difference in the world. It seemed like things were falling back into place, and my life had finally taken order. We even started going out as a family for dinner on Friday evenings. Of course, like any perfect setting, it wasn?t going to last. My girlfriend enjoyed sounding her opinion a little too much, and it had lead to her death. I?ll never forget the day her brother came to the door. His face was tear stained, and his eyes were redder than a tomato. I answered the door, and through sobs, he told me what had happened. At first, the only thing I could do was to put my hand to my mouth, and invite the boy in. I got him a box of tissues, and a coke, and sat down on the couch next to him. We never really were very close, but as I began to break down, we hugged each other. Rita was the only other one home at the time, and as soon as she heard me, she knew what happened. This at the time didn?t strike me as weird, because I was weeping the loss of my best friend. Her brother left, and Rita and I just sat on the couch, not knowing what to say. Every once and a while, I?d sob on her shoulder, and she?d pat my back and rock slowly back and forth. We sat there until our parents returned, who upon hearing the news, immediately began to comfort me as well. As the four of us sat on the couch, a silence fell upon the house that hadn?t been heard since I returned. The silence was deadly, and breaking it was even more. I broke off the family support circle and headed up to my room. There, I lay on my bed, my face buried in the pillow. Every once and awhile, I?d let out a sob, but for the most part I lay thinking. It in a way was my fault. I had encouraged her to voice her opinion and make it heard. I had told her to start the protest against the protesters of an abortion clinic. I had helped her start the group PAP (Protesters Against Protesters) and recruit the members. I even got the information on the protest. I had told her that I couldn?t come today due to plans with Rita, and I had already felt bad. Her death was a serious blow to me, and it inevitably brought the dreams back. The dreams of war were ong forgotten, and I guess I should have been thankful, but with what I saw, the things I felt, I?m still not sure. About a week after her death, a visitor came, brining nothing more than a warning and more depression. ?The pain and suffering one person can feel, is nothing to joke about. Feelings can eat at you, cause you to rot away emotionally, and cause destruction on everyone else around you. They are powerful feelings, that if not taken care of, can leave ugly consequences on the timeline. What you see, are those feelings. Your gift is a dangerous one. Watch out for yourself.? She said, still standing in the doorway. ?So what I?m seeing what people felt?? I asked, looking at her skeptically. ?Watch out for your sister. She?s got the gift as well. Yours is stronger, but hers will causes problems. With that, my debt has been repaid. Good day young one.? She said, turning away. I didn?t think much on it, because the dreams were just flashes of red, which I figured for anger or for blood. It wasn?t until I had the dream with the brother and sister that I ever really began to imagine the impact the woman?s words had on me. The dream, was totally unbelievable. A boy, having sit and watch his sister eaten alive by some demon, it was unbelievable. The pain of seeing her flesh being ripped from her body and devoured was too much for the poor guy and he passed out, leaving me in the dark as well. It wasn?t until I saw Rita wake up soundlessly screaming that I ever wondered about anything. I walked over to her, and she grabbed me crying, ?It ate me, it ate my skin.? I knew what she was talking about, and I knew what I had to do. I told Rita about the woman, and she nodded. The woman had also come to her, so it was apparent we wouldn?t see her again. I still tried. For a week, I searched everywhere. I didn?t find her, of course. So we let the dreams happen, talking about them and making sure to keep each other informed when something changed. So was how things functioned until today?s dream. I don?t know why, but it just didn?t seem important. Then, today happened. Reid died, killed by a baseball bat, just like her. It was not a coincidence, and I had a feeling that these deaths were connected with the dreams, and that if I could just figure out where the dreams came from, and why we see what we see, then maybe, just maybe, I could find a way to get rid of them. ?Rita, I?m sorry. I know that I should have just let everything drop, but I didn?t OK! I made a mistake, you of all people should respect that.? I said, standing up. ?When you put a friend?s life on the line, it?s not just a mistake. It?s so much more Seth..? Rita said, trailing off. ?Look Rita, I didn?t think about whatever the hell?s going on would seep into the world like this.? I said, looking down. ?You idiot. Your dream just seemed to prove something. We aren?t actually seeing things in our world. Not the past, not the future, but the worlds beside us. That war, I looked it up. It never existed. The brother and sister never were. I?m not sure if we go there, or if it?s chance, but when we dream, it?s of things that we shouldn?t be able to comprehend, but we do.? Rita said standing up. ?I think we have to actually interfere with things if we want to live normal lives again.? ?Why? Why should we help them? Our problems are just as big as everyone else?s, and we deserve some help too.? I said, still on the bed. ?We got it, that old woman was all I needed to open my eyes. I should have stuck with my first impression. She even hinted at it. Seth, we have to help these people!? Rita said, walking over to me. ?Are you going to help me, or not?? ?I..? I started, not knowing what to say. Notes: Thanks everyone for the compliments, but this time around, I'd love for someone to reallt comb through this chapter, because I'm not so sure about it. Things that don't make sense, errors, anyting like that. I would be ur slave for only 15 dollars then. ^_^
3. ?Sonuvabiotch!? Drew cursed kicking the dumpster he had climbed on top of. Azrael had soared off into the sky, and left him alone, which made him nervous. He hadn?t seen anything, and he figured it was an angel thing. He then say with his back up against the wall, sighing. Today had been a real bitch, and he would have killed just to get back home to his bed. As he slid down the wall, he felt something in his back pocket poke him; he dug around, and pulled out a .9mm Eagle pistol and smiled. Azrael would say carrying guns around in your back pocket is like asking to die, but Drew suddenly felt like it was one of the best ideas he had ever had. As he admired the sheer blackness of the gun, and couple of shadows took a sentinel stance at both ends of the alley. Drew, still fascinated with his gun, didn?t notice. He polished it with his shirt, and stuck it in his front pocket, whistling to himself. He stood up, and was about to leave the alley to look for Azrael, when he noticed the two shadows guarding the exits. He chuckled nervously, and looked at the dumpster. There, stood the most idiotic looking kid Drew had ever seen. He couldn?t have been more than 18 years old, and he was dressed like a gangster from the early period of 2000. A white hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, and the strings tightly stringed. His jeans were blue and baggy, his underwear practically showing from the front. Around his neck about three or four gold chains with his name, a crucifix, and money signs hung from the front like neon signs. ?What the hell you doin? on my land fool?? He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Drew laughed at his accent. He?s been watching one too many old music videos. ?Where does it say this alley belongs to you, shorty?? The kid threw his hood back, and Drew had to restrain himself from laughing. The kids cheeks were fatter than a squirrels carrying nuts. His hair was all shaved off, as were his eyebrows. His pale white skin only seemed to accent his missing hair, and his blue eyes seemed almost non-existent. ?Nigger*, I?m gonna kick yo? ass!? Drew was taken back at this. No one had used that word since his childhood, and everyone had jumped the kid that had said it, so Dreew wasn?t expecting it to come into play. ?Little shits need to learn to keep their tongues before they?re ripped from their mouths.? ?Fool, I?m gonna pop so many caps up yo? ass, you?re gonna die from a ruptured, organ!? He yelled, jumping down from the dumpster. Drew couldn?t control himself anymore, and he busted out laughing. This kid had obviously dropped out from school at an early age. The kid?s facial features smooshed together as he began to growl. He made a hand gesture at the two shadows, and they began to come closer. Drew wasn?t scared, because as soon as this punk pulled a gun on him, all three of them were gonna die a very, very, painful death. ?What, you not learn to say things like kidney, heart, and lung?? Drew asked, tears starting to stream down his face. The pudgy boy let out a yell, and whipped out a simple handgun, pointing it unsteadily at Drew. ?Foo?, you don?t know who you be messin? with. I am 75 Cent, and I?m gonna fuck you up big time.? Drew kept a solemn face and said, ?I could a bullet between your forehead, and your two associates before you could even think to pull the trigger in response.? ?Prove it, bitch.? He said, sliding the safety off of his gun. ?Alright, but only since you insist.? Drew said, smiling. Drew reached into his pocket, and whipped out his prize, and smiling wildly as he aimed and shot, causing a round, red hole to appear on the boys forehead. His eyes began to roll into the back of his head, and he began to have a spasm as he body flailed around, then drop dead to the floor. Drew smiled, and blew imaginary smoke away from his gun. ?You boys wants some too?? The two shadows stepped into the streetlight and reviled themselves to be muscleman like in terms of arms and chests. They were ripped all over, and tried to intimidate Drew as the closed in on him. Drew just smiled and said, ?I have you a chance.? He pulled his gun up, and fired two shots in concession, bullet holes appearing in the middle of their shirts, rather than their foreheads. The circle quickly grew, and the pair could only look down before totally passing out. Drew had tried not to aim at any vital organs, but sometimes, it just couldn?t be helped. Drew smiled at the mess he had made. Idiots like the boy needed to die early, so as not to make people?s lives a living hell later. He meant no offense to his employers, but Heaven just didn?t seem like an appropriate term. He chuckled, and noticed a sound wafting from above, which Drew assumed to be one of Azrael?s escorts. He walked around the building, and noticed a window on the ground floor that didn?t have bars on it. It was locked, so Drew whipped out his gun, and blew the window open. He wasn?t one for waiting, and he wanted to make sure that Azrael wasn?t dead. As he walked through the room towards the stairs, he stopped. He dug into his pocket, and found a piece of gun. ?Winterfresh, always a good choice.? He said aloud, popping it into his mouth. He continued his trek out of the room, and exited to a dark, damp staircase. He began to climb, and prayed it wasn?t a huge staircase. Luckily for him, sitting there a floor later was a small elevator, sitting there waiting. He gladly got in, closed the door, and waited as the old thing slowly chugged up to the roof. When the bell of arrival chimed, Drew smiled. It may have been a long ride, but the whole time, he could hear that voice from earlier. As he quietly opened the door to the roof, he chuckled. Whoever it was, was going to get a big surprise. ??and the bond between Him and I are stronger than ever. As soon as he realizes I still work only for him, he?ll surely?? The Angel said, almost preaching to the other two. ?SHUT THE FUCK UP! JESUS CHRIST!? Drew yelled, firing into Woe?s backside. He heard her stop, and whirl around, blades at the ready. ?Who dares fire upon me?? ?Me ya fucking idiot. God?s disbanned you. He doesn?t want you anymore. You work for Lucifer now. Get the fuck over it!? Drew said, coping a cap in her front side. Woe sped towards him, blades pointed straight at him. Drew didn?t flinch, but instead tried to step to the side, but watched as Woe?s blades stuck into him. He didn?t feel pain, but then again, he had never been stabbed before. As Woe pulled her blades back out, Drew noticed that, there wasn?t any blood. Woe began to laugh and said, ?Stupid Mortal, I simply impaled you with some air, just enough to knock the wind out of you for a bit. You think I?d actually waste time on a puny thing such as yourself?? Drew could only looked from Woe?s blades, over to Azrael, before passing out from sheer overexcitement.

5. The entire squad fell silent as Retsu Unohana and Isane Kitetsu entered the circle, a solemn look on their faces. Orihime didn?t want to hear the news, because she already knew, but this was no time to ignore her taichu. ?Yes, the rumors are true.? Unohana began, her hand trembling. ?The Hollow-Faced Shinigami has entered the Court of the Pure Souls, and killed Jidanbou. We are instructed to stay together as a group, and a message will be sent as to whether or not we?ll be joining together as a group.? Orihime darted her glance around at the Squad, and everyone had a look of pure fear, or pure anger. Her speech earlier was obviously shot down the drain now, as everyone?s emotion was focused on him, the Hollowed Face Shinigami. Orihime began to feel her worry for Tatsuki and Chad creep back. She forced it to the back of her mind, as she walked up to Unohana. ?Retsu-taichu, are all Squads and their respective members accounted for?? ?Hai, Orihime-san. Now, I need to make one more announcement.? Retsu said, sighing. ?I figure none of you are this big headed, but if anyone spots him, please, run. Find the nearest Fukutaichu or Taichu and have them handle it. There is no one here who could even begin to think they were ready to face him.? Orihime still couldn?t believe that things had come to this. She knew that she had died due to him, and she had ended up a Shinigami because of it. Orihime sighed, and started to walk towards her quarters. She knew that they shouldn?t separate themselves, but she needed a minute of quiet. As she sat on the small step, she laid a hand on Eiei. It seemed that since Tatsuki and she couldn?t protect each other as much, they had to rely on their Zanpakutohs more and more. Orihime hoped that it would start to rain again. The rain could hide her tears and fears. It could wash her fake exterior away, and let her true feelings show. She wanted to be terrified, she wanted to be angry, she wanted to want to kill him. For some reason though, all she felt was resonating calm, which to some degree was comforting. Orihime walked back to the meeting ground, and walked over to Reika and Aichio, who were talking quietly. ?Any more news?? ?Of course not. Messengers can?t afford to be traveling around alone, and in groups isn?t very speedy.? Reika said, tears still in her eyes. ?We?re like sitting ducks!? Aichio hugged her again as she broke down. Morale was not a forerunner here, and to Orihime, that was what needed to boosted. She walked over to Unohana and asked, ?Is there nothing we could do to try and take everyone?s mind off the Hollowed Face One, but still keep us alert?? ?We could run a couple of practice drills. That?s actually not too bad of an idea.? Unohana said, clapping her hands. ?OK everyone, we still are a functioning squad, as since that is so, we shall practice. Zanpakutohs at the ready!? The sounds of 20 swords escaping their scabbards filled the courtyard, and seemed in harmony, sending chills down Orihime?s spine. This was what they needed. To stay truly together, they needed to be in harmony. Orihime smiled as they began to swing. Things may turn out right afterall.

7. Drew slolwly came around to the bouncing of being carried. After swimming for a couple of seconds, the pain forced him totally awake, and he winced, surprising Azrael. Azrael set him down to see if he could support himself. He quickly crumpled under his own weight, and Azrael picked him up again. ?What..what happened?? Drew asked groggily. ?You lost control and crashed the car.? Azrael said, looking at Belial. ?What? I remember just waking up, then, nothing. Are you sure?? Drew asked, trying sit up. ?Yes. I wouldn?t lie to you about something like that. Besides, where would you explain the wounds?? Azrael said, trying to reasonable. ?I don?t know.? Drew said, sliding out of Azrael?s hands. ?I don?t need you to hold me. I?ve got control of my legs.? Drew tried to prove it, but he couldn?t move a couple of steps before collapsing. Azrael walked over to him, and got Drew to use him as a crutch while they walked. Drew went along with it, only because he didn?t have any other choice. To help things move quicker, Drew tried his hand out with talking to Belial. ?So, are you here to do something, or just to watch over Azrael?? ?Supposed to escort him back home to Hell. Then, we get to go to war against God, and all that good stuff.? Belial said, taking a puff of his cigarette. To Azrael, he asked, ?Are we going back to the lab, because if we are, Dr. Allington?s gonna maul me into little pieces.? ?No worries, I wasn?t hurt at all, and your wounds, as painful as they are, won?t cause any long term problems.? Azrael said, smiling. Belial suddenly hissed at Azrael, and he drug Drew off, muttering. When they reached a safe distance, Azrael shrugged Drew off his shoulder, and balanced him up against the side of a building. ?What was up with him?? Drew asked, looking around. ?The angels were there and he didn?t want them to catch me or you. Though, he was probably most worried about me.? Azrael said, looking back in that direction. Not a sound could heard from that direction which could mean any number of things. No waves of doubt on Belial?s ability flowed through Drew, instead worries of the angels abilities racked his brain. ?Can he take all three of them?? Drew asked, seeming worried. ?Probably not, but I?m betting that Gabriel and Metatron won?t make it an unfair fight, because in some form or another, God would frown upon it.? Azrael said, bending over. ?We need to keep moving.? ?Sounds good, but let me try to walk.? Drew said, wiggling out of Azrael?s path. He stood up OK, and seemed not to be too unbalanced when he stood, and his walk seemed OK, but Azrael didn?t want to take any chances, and made Drew use him again. They trudged deeper into the slums, and things seemed to get worse. The graffiti covered every open inch of the walls, and most windows now had bars on them to prevent break-ins. Drew didn?t feel particularly uncomfortable in this area. He just didn?t want to attract the wrong kind of attention. ?So, you got a plan?? Drew asked, trying not to smile. ?Nope, I figured, eventually, we?d end up somewhere that I could hail a taxi back to the lab.? Azrael said, looking Drew in eye. ?And what about Belial?? Drew asked, looking back. ?He knows where we?re going. No worries. Now, let?s keep moving.? He said, grabbing Drew again. It was going to be a long night.
8. Orihime and Seto had been walking through the rain and talking when a messenger from her squad came running. ?Orihime! Get back to camp now. I can?t tell you more now, but get back NOW!? He shouted, running past her. Orihime looked at Seto questioningly, and shrugged it off. ?Looks like we?ll have to end it here.? She said, smiling. ?Looks like.? Seto said, starting to wave. ??Till next time?? ??Till next time.? Orihime said, turning towards the camp. She began to jog, and arrived in no time. Everyone was standing around in a circle talking, worried looks on their face. Orihime walked up to Reika, the fourth seat holder, and asked, ?What?s going on?? ?You haven?t heard yet?? She asked her eyes full of fear. ?He?s here. He killed Jidanbou!? ?Oh my..? Orihime said, covering her mouth. The Hollowed One. He had made it. Orihime, silently hoped Tatsuki and Seto were safe. She didn?t want anyone else to die, but there was so little she could do. Reika suddenly broke down in tears, and Aichio, the seventh seat, took her in his arms and began to rock her. Orihime sat down on the ground, and tried to keep herself from sobbing. A comforting hand placed on her shoulder, caused Orihime to turn and see no one. She looked around, and realized that it was Tsubaki and Lily. She nodded at them, and stood up. She walked to the middle of the throng of people and sat down. She began to breath, in meditation to try to set an example. She watched as Aichio and Reika joined, and other followed them. Within minutes, the entire squad had calmed down, and Orihime then stood up. ?We?ve got to keep ourselves together. Now is not the time to panic. Yes, it?s possible that the Hollowed One is here in the Soul Society, and that?s why we have to stay on our guard.? Orihime said, trying to stay calm. ?Where are..? One of the lower ranked members asked. ?I?m assuming they?re at a meeting discussing this. I?m hoping they?ll find an answer, to help us, and maybe even him.? Orihime said, keeping her face calm. ?Why would you want to help him? He slaughtered the 11th Squad!? Isura, the fifth seat yelled out. Orihime didn?t know why, but in a sense, she pitted the man. Something had obviously driven him to done a Hollow mask, and Orihime didn?t even want to start to imagine what that was. ?Sometimes, one can?t always judge on first appearances.? The uproar of the squad was then heard as everyone tried to interjected their opinion before someone else. ?Please let the others have a better answer.? Orihime thought, as she continued to stand in the middle of it all.
9. A Dark and Dreary Beginning It was a dark and rainy night. Water pounded on the window while JJ sat and watched. He sighed as lightning streaked across the sky. It had been a long week for him and it was nice to have some time to just sit and watch the rain. He felt a tug at his pants, and he turned and picked up Purple the shiney. Shineys were small, round living organisms. They took a distinctive color and personality to follow. Each one was different, and sometimes that made the job of taking care of them even harder. Luckily, they all had a soft spot for muffins and pizza. Thinking about the troubles that could follow if they didn't all enjoy the same food scared JJ. He gave Purple a hug and tickled his belly, winning a smile from the small creature. The two of them were always together. To some, it seemed like JJ favored Purple over everyone else, but it was a matter of who he wanted to protect the most. Purple had always been the smallest from the bunch and at one point had been kidnapped. Since that time, JJ rarely let him out of his sight and kept close tabs on him. As he set Purple down, JJ heard a call from the kitchen that made him stop. His twin sister stood in the doorway. She looked worried about something. JJ let Purple skid off before he approached her. "Annie, what?s wrong?" he asked. Annie just stared at the space between him and the doorframe. This wasn't like her; she normally attempted a smile if she had bad news. She suddenly looked up at JJ and spoke: "Lock the door to the Shiney Shrine. Make sure everyone?s inside, then lock the door." JJ looked at his sister as if she was crazy, but didn't stop to ponder it at that point. He ushered everyone into the Shrine and began the impossible headcount. The man whistled and most of the shineys stopped moving. JJ easily got the headcount and set his pet rabbit, Lancelot, down to play with them. He then quickly shut and locked the door, dreading the clunk of the lock. JJ flinched when it happened and walked into the kitchen, where he hoped Annie was. She was sitting on the den's couch, and that worried JJ even more. The sofa was reserved for serious conversations and movies. JJ bet this wasn't time for a movie. Annie scooted over and JJ sat down. He looked Annie in the eyes and asked "What?s up? 'Nothing' will not fly, because then I wouldn't have just taken headcount and locked the Shrine up." "JJ, whatever happens in the next couple of hours, I want you to know, that I'm doing this for you and the Shineys," Annie said. She began tear up and before JJ could lay a hand of bewildered comfort on her shoulder, Annie pulled twin .9mm Eagles on him and stood up from the couch. He heard the safety click and knew that he only had seconds to do something before he died. JJ shot off from the couch, and tackled the woman, forcing her to drop the guns in the same movement. He then scrambled for one, and Annie for the other. They then both sat at a standoff in the living room. JJ was frantic and the only thing he could think of was talking with Annie, so he did. "So, this supposed to be some kind of training, or is it real?" he asked with a smile. "JJ, you know this is real. I'm sorry, this isn't what I had planned, but things change..." Annie's voice trailed off. It was obvious that she was trying not to cry, and it hurt JJ. "So, we gonna have a cat and mouse chase throughout the house, or just end things here?" JJ asked, his muscles tense. As soon as she answered cat and mouse, he was out of there. Anni shot her eyes "You know the answer, I'll give you three seconds," she said. JJ bolted from the den towards the shrine. Annie?s pounding feet gave him all the more incentive to make it to his room. He arrived and slammed the door shut, listening for the click of the lock. As he let out a loud breath, a bullet hole appeared two inches from his head. He quickly jumped onto his bed and crawled to his pillow, where he recovered a cell phone and a Magnum handgun. He flipped the phone open and dialled the number as fast as possible. It was a familiar one, and JJ was anxious. When the other end picked up, a shaky JJ answered, "H..hello? Is he in?" "May I ask who?s.." "Don't worry about it! Just tell him the Virgin is calling!" The holding music kicked in and JJ silently cursed. If he ran out of time before he made sure... He didn't want to think about that. The music was cut off when a gruff voice answered, "You're not allowed to call on this line." "She?s gone crazy. She pulled two guns on me, and now she's trying to kill me!" "I'll call the Motherland and see if they know anything." "I don't have time for that! I need a transport out of here. How early can you be here?" "Twenty minutes tops." "?K, Virgin out." JJ closed the phone and set it back under his pillow. No sense in breaking habit now, right? He carefully laid his head against the door, but heard nothing, which could only mean that Annie was now hiding somewhere. That put her in her element and JJ was slowly becoming the mouse. This was a dangerous position to be in and if he made one false step, it would all be over. JJ sucked a breath in and flipped the lock to his door. The loud echo was heard thoughout the entire house and he knew that wherever Annie was, she had heard it. He breathed deeply and cracked the door open, praying it didn't creak. He was luckier this time and it opened silently, only offering him the sight of shadows and darkness. He cautiously snuck outside the door, his back tightly kept to the wall. As he crept towards the Shiney Shrine, he could hear Annie step on the creaky floorboard. He flipped on the wall and saw her slowly moving towards him, her gun cocked. JJ looked up at the ceiling, silently cursed this whole ordeal and shot at Annie. He heard her surprised gasp and swiftly unlocked the Shiney Shrine. He opened the door, walked in and shut it. "Purple! Lancelot! Time to go!" he called, his gaze darting around the room. In addition to the two mentioned, Opal and Ruby also came, causing JJ to sigh. He grabbed all four in his arms and opened the door again. He was tempted to check on Annie, but her condition was not his main priority. He just hoped it wasn't fatal, because, if it was... JJ could never live with himself. He ran outside and set all four of them out on the ground. He told them to wait and ran back inside to check on Annie. He flipped the hall light on and was only greeted with a smear of blood on the wall. He cursed and headed back for the door, when Annie stood in front of it. "JJ, this has to end now. I don't want to kill you, but if I have to, I will. There is no other option, no other chance. The cards have been laid and I can't go against them," she said, levelling her gun at JJ?s heart. JJ flinched at her words, but whipped out his Magnum as well. "I'm not going to let you do this Annie. You don't want to." Annie didn't show as much resolve as she continued to hold the gun at JJ?s heart. He tossed his gun down and held his hands up before getting on his knees and aiming Annie?s gun at his own head. "Whenever you're ready." Annie clicked the safety off and her finger slowly trailed downwards to the trigger. A single tear ran down her face as she began to depress it. JJ never flinched. She then broke down in sobs and tossed the gun down. JJ stood up and tried to hug her, but she slapped him away and ran out of the house. JJ suddenly remembered his transport and rushed outside to where he had left his little posse, grabbed them up and ran in the street where headlights were coming around the bend. As a black SUV pulled up, breaking through the murky darkness, JJ began to wave an armfrantically, holding on to the foursome with the other. The car pulled up to him, the door opened and JJ quickly climbed in, setting the four down. He then silently climbed back out and ran back to the house, throwing the front door open. He ran into the Shrine and wasn't surprised when he was greeted with silence. Annie had taken the others with her, whether out of comfort or some other feeling, JJ wasn't sure. He sighed and jogged back out into the rain for the third time tonight. He slowly opened the door and took a final look at the place of about 6 months of happiness. He so dearly wished to still be sitting watching the rain, but it seemed like that wasn't on the agenda at that time. He sighed and slammed the car door shut. It was going to be a long night. Feedback is wanted, especially if you want another chapter. ~_^
10. Orihime looked at the voice. His robes were soaked, as were her?s, and he was smiling. She figured he wasn't going to challenge her, so she smiled, and replied back, "No thanks, I'm good." He didn't seemed shocked when she said that, and instead said, "I'm Seto. You're Orihime, right?" She nodded, and replied, "Which Squad are you?" "Tenth Squad, Tenth seat." He replied "I'm in the fourth squad, third seat." Orihime replied smiling. "You wana get out of the rain?" Seto asked, looking at the tree Orihime and Tatsuki had been sitting under earlier. Orihime shook her head. "I'm enjoying it; you can go if you want." Seto looked at her for a second, then at the tree, looked again, and sighed. "Where are we off to?" "I want to find my friend Tatsuki. She was going into the bathhouse last time I saw her. I was going to head over there first." Orihime said, moving in that direction. "She's not there now." Seto said, looking strangely. "How do you know?" Orihime asked, watching him. Something was seriously fishy. "She ran out chasing after Utamuro. He apparently had a window into the female bath. She and two other women chased him off. I know they went in the direction of the eleventh squad?s area, but I?m not sure where they?d be now.? Seto said, looking down at the ground. ?Well, I think I can find her.? Orihime said, starting to concentrate. After about a minute of nothing happening, Orihime blushed. ?I guess not. Looks like we get to walk around.? Seto chuckled, and Orihime smiled briefly. She remembered something Chizuru used to say. ?You?re cute when you cry, but I like you the best when you smile.? Orihime started walking and Seto followed. She tried to think of something to say, but nothing of any importance popped up. Suddenly, she had an idea. ?What?s your favorite food??
11. Eremophobia Flirting with time is unsafe When things that are hidden When the things that chafe Are brought and blindly bidden Seth sat down at his desk and waited for the bell to ring. I knew he was waiting, because I was watching him. It was a bad habit I needed to break, especially since he actually might notice I was watching. I laughed at myself quietly and looked at the clock. The second hand seemed to move slower with every tick as I waited for it. The sound that meant we were impression here until 3:30. The sound came fast, and scared me, even though I was ready for it. I jumped slightly, then settled back down as a burly, balding man walked in the door. ?OK class, today?? I was already bored, and flicked a note at the back of Seth?s head. I may have feelings for him, but I?m not going to let that get in the way of our friendship. I had written, ?So, you going out l8er?? and he had replied, ?No, I ended it.?. I was shocked, but in my eyes, this could also be a good thing. ?So, you got other plans?? I wrote back. ?Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that.? This just wasn?t happening. I couldn?t believe it. Was he really about to ask me out to lunch, or something? ?Shoot.? ?You don?t have any plans today, right?? ?Nope.? ?Well, you wana go to lunch?? I couldn?t believe it. The guy I had been crushing on all year. The one I would watch as we sat in class. The one I always tried to stand behind in the lunch line. The guy that I would watch in the locker room. The guy I loved. He was asking me out. ?Sure. This friendly or something more?? I saw him scribble an answer down, but just then, Mr. Gildig saw it, and confiscated the note. I silently cursed the pudgy man as he waddled away, and tossed the note in the trashcan. I looked at Seth, but he just shrugged. I guessed he meant, ?Sorry, I?ll talk with you after class.?. Or, so I hoped. The rest of the class seemed to take forever. The clock hands slowed down, and every word Mr. Gildig said seemed to take twenty years to say. I was about to fall apart from the anticipation, when the bell rang. My heart began to flutter as Seth walked over to my desk and nodded at me. We walked out of the class together, and as soon as we were out, he said, ?The answer is you?ll just have to wait and find out. Meet me by the fountain outside at lunch time.? Seth said, turning away and jogging to his next class. There was still three periods to go before lunch. For about twenty minutes, I was worried about it being a friend thing, but I think he would have said it up front if was. I tried my hardest to concentrate, but my thoughts kept wandering to Seth. The way he flicked his hair behind his ear when he was bored. The way he twirled his hair as the teacher blabbed on about some subject he wouldn?t need for his future job. Most of all, I thought about the way his eyes seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. I loved Seth?s eyes, and I?ve always thought that they were the main reason I fell for Seth. Before I realized it, the lunch bell had rung, and I was rushing through the halls to meet Seth. Papers seemed to not want to stay in my binder, but at this point, they weren?t important. It seemed like I was on top of the world, and nothing was going to bring me down. I walked over to the fountain, where Seth was sitting, and his hand trailing patterns idly. I crept up behind him, and set my hands down on his shoulders firmly, all the while saying ?Boo!? He jumped about three feet in the air, and came down almost landing in the fountain. I grabbed him and held him long enough to keep him from falling into the fountain. I?ve never held Seth like that, and it seemed like everything had stopped in that moment. For a second, I thought he was going to lean up and kiss me, but the illusion was shattered when he pulled himself up. ?Thanks for the save.? He said, smiling. ?You hungry?? ?Of course.? I said smiling back. There was no need to rush things. I took his hand in mine, and we walked towards the street. From there, I let Seth lead me through the side streets and alleys. He wouldn?t tell me where we were going, but I figured it was somewhere romantic. I sighed, and Seth looked at me, but I just shrugged it off, and we continued walking. After about ten minutes of walking we arrived at the restaurant. I gasped as I looked at the name. It was my favorite Sushi Bar. The Chopped Fish. I kept myself from squealing as we walked in. The host seemed to know we were coming and took us to a private table. I could have died happy at this point. The chef came and took our order, and we were then left alone. I looked at Seth, and I noticed him looking back. I almost involuntarily leaned forward, and he did too. Before I realized it our lips had touched, and I was in heaven. The bliss seemed to last forever, and not even the waiter bringing us our food distracted us. I finally broke the kiss, with the words, ?The foods here.? We ate, payed, and left. The day was magical, and I didn?t realize the time until I looked at my watch. We had skipped the entire afternoon. As we boarded the bus, I tried to think of something to say to Seth before we parted. Nothing came to mind before the bus stop, and our eventual parting. I waved, he waved, and I walked back to my house. Before I had a chance to open the door, I felt someone pull me back. At first I thought it was Seth, so I turned around ready to kiss him, but instead I received a punch to the face, and a baseball bat to the back of my head. I was dead before I hit the porch.
12. The slice Akuma had made when he jumped over still stung, and Orihime worried about scarring, but for now, that wasn?t the main concern. Akuma had increased in intensity, and Orihime was reduced to blocking again. She hated being in this position and tried to think of a way out of it. She suddenly got an idea, and decided to try it out. ?You?re a challenge. I will admit that, but things aren?t as they seem here.? Orihime said, standing in a defense position. ?Tsubaki!? At that moment, a small black, almost moth-like thing descended from the Heaven?s and landed on Orihime?s shoulder. ?Should I splice him?? Tsubaki asked, looking excited. ?No, just distract him, make your attack reflectable. I want to distract him.? Orihime whispered, keeping her sights on Akuma the whole time. ?You ready?? Tsubaki merely nodded. ?Tsubaki! Kotezahnu! I reject!? Tsubaki shot off in a beam of light towards Akuma, startling him. As he tried swatting at him, Orihime jumped up onto the roof of a neighboring building, and sat in the shadows, watching Akuma to see if he had noticed her. He hadn?t, and Tsubaki flew off unharmed, which was also a good thing. As Akuma looked around for a second, Orihime got in place. With a yell, she sprang out of her hiding place, Eiei in front, and the sun to her back. She had hoped it was a surprise maneuver, but to her surprise, she felt Eiei being pulled at, and all at once, she hit the ground. ?Shortcuts are no way to win a match, Orihime.? Akuma said, bringing his Zanpaktuh to her throat. As he lowered it to call match point, Orihime gave a kick at his feet, and sprung to hers. ?No, but sometimes they do help in the end.? Orihime said with a smile, and she ran to grab Eiei. She picked it up with her front facing Akuma as he charged. She brought Eiei up to meet him, and began a series of parry and blocks. It ended with Orihime overstretching her attack, and giving Akuma the advantage of her stomach. The match had truly ended when he pressed against her stomach. ?Matchpoint.? He said smiling. ?Are you sure?? Orihime said with a smirk. Orihime had Eiei at his throat, and a tip had appeared, giving off an aura of death. ?Shall we continue?? ?How? In a real battle, we?d both be dead.? Akuma said, keeping his sword at her stomach. ?Well, we could go again.? Orihime said, starting to pace around him. The pair moved like this for about a minute, and without warning, Akuma used Tetsu-Okami to knock Eiei away, and they were both left open. It was all up to who was going to attack.

14. ?He changed, when he changed, he really changed.? Orihime thought to herself as she stood in the ready position. ?I?m not losing to him now.? ?Aisuru Eiei!? Orihime called out, covering her Zanpakutoh in a white light. It grew longer, and seemed to round itself out. When the light faded, the red staff with the design fell into Orihime?s hands. ?You?re ready now?? Akuma said, starting her dead in the eyes. ?Of course.? She replied, charging. Orihime swung Eiei towards Akuma as to seem like an overhead shot, but she instead stuck it into the ground and leaped over his head, giving him a light kick as she went. She then went on the offensive with a simple side-to-side attack which he blocked easily. Again she tried to bring Eiei for a forward strike, but this time Akuma was ready, and he swept Orihime off her feet and onto the ground on her back. He brought his arm back to ram into the ground, but Orihime rolled and used her momentum to spring up. She took a step back, and charged once more. By placing Eiei in the ground once more, she used it fire a swinging kick in which she nailed Akuma in the chest, who wasn?t prepared for that. ?Nice shot.? Akuma said, stumbling. ?Thank..? Orihime started. Akuma had used that opportunity to lunge at Orihime with all five fingers stretched out towards her. Orihime tried to side step and counter it, but his pinky caught her and stopped the attack. A tear along the belt line could be seen as Orihime attack his temporarily unguarded backside. She got a good solid smack in, and Akuma whirled around, knocking Eiei from Orihime?s hands, and then positioned himself in between the two. ?Looks like this is the end of the match, Orihime.? Akuma said, smiling. ?It was fought..? ?Hinagiku! Baigon! Lilly! Santen Ketshunun! I reject!? Orihime chanted as the familiar triangle shield shot up, causing Akuma to shoot back. ?I?m not finished so easily.? Orihime then used this time to retrieve Eiei, which had landed a couple of feet behind Akuma. She picked it up, and held it tightly as Akuma tried to attack. Not being able to overpower Akuma in this position, Orihime wasn?t sure what to do. She didn?t want to use the Shunshunrikka a lot, because then it wouldn?t be fair to her opponent, or herself. As she felt his body weight slowly shift onto his weapon, Orihime came up with an idea. If this didn?t work, she?d probably be hurt, but she didn?t want to think about that. Orihime threw her entire body forward, and tried to throw Akuma?s balance off. He didn?t stumble or even move, but it threw his weight off enough to allow Orihime to slip out from under him. She turned to face him and smiled. ?We could be at this a while.?
15. Drew blinked in the sunlight. He and Azrael had just stepped outside and were heading for his car. They had decided to drive around and see if they could pick up on any of the three angels. ?So, you got a guess at who the third one is?? Drew asked, chewing his gum. ?No idea. It could be anyone. Even with the different aura.? Azrael said, staring out the window. ?Should be loads of fun.? Drew said, taking his wad of gum, and sticking it to the windshield. He had developed the habit since he started hanging around Azrael. He wasn?t sure whether it was him personally, or the way Azrael affected him. ?So, you getting? anything?? Drew asked, stopping at a red light. ?No, their aura seems to be getting fainter if anything.? Azrael said, still watching the scenery. ?Probably means they have a point of contact here. Could mean serious trouble for us.? Drew said, turning the car around. ?We?d better head back.? ?No, their aura is faint. We can ?hang around? a little while. Maybe even go see something.? Azrael said, still gazing out the window. ?Sure, sounds good. What?s outside that?s so interesting?? Drew asked, trying to look over Azrael?s shoulder. ?That?s the direction that their aura is coming from.? Azrael said. ?So, they?re in, oh shit. Which area is over that way?? Drew asked, scratching his chin. ?The CITY! You idiot!? A voice yelled, surprising Drew. ?You guys back?? Drew mumbled, pulling back from Azrael. ?Hmm?? He asked, thinking he was talking with him. ?Man, we couldn?t leave you a street from your house and expect you to find it again.? The voice said, sighing. ?I?m not a child anymore.? Drew said louder. ?You don?t have to act like that.? Azrael knew that Drew was having a ?spell? and let it go. ?Well, by the way you act?? The voice started to say but was cut off. ?Drop it, Jesus.? Another voice interjected. ?Just wanted to help, that?s all.? ?Fine.? Drew said, slamming the accelerator, and forcing Azrael to grab onto the side of seat. ?Do you have a death wish?? Azrael asked calmly as they flew done the almost deserted path. Drew was silent and kept driving. He didn?t want to tell Azrael about what had just happened. It made him feel so shitty knowing that they were right. He probably couldn?t find his way out of a paper bag. Drew slowly let up on the speed as they approached the main road again. He didn?t really remember going this way, but sometimes time was lost in thought. As they began the drive back to the lab, Drew tried to think of something to say. ?So, you, still wana go to the movies?? ?Sure, as long as something other than last time.? Azrael said. ?Got anything in mind?? Drew asked, looking bored already. ?Nope, let?s see what?s playing when we get there.? Azrael said, glancing out the window once more. ?Sounds fine. So, got any gum?? Drew asked, smiling slightly.

17. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and it seemed like everything was glowing. It for some reason seemed to have no effect on Inoue Orihime as she and her friend Arisawa Tatsuki sat under the shade of a tree talking. They had been in the Soul Society only a short time, and even now they both had their insecurities about being Shinigami. ?I don?t know Tatuski.? Orihime said, watching some of her fellow Shinigami training. ?Orihime, you?re a chair higher than I am. You should be proud of yourself. We?ve worked our way into the standings and are at the top of our game. At the rate you personally are moving, you?ll be Vice-Captain no problem.? Tatsuki said, pumping her fist up. ?What about you?? Orihime asked, looking concerned. ?Don?t you worry. The jerk that has the third chair is gonna slip up here soon, and we?ll be even again.? She said, smiling at Orihime. Orihime wasn?t sure whether to believe her or not, especially since her death, but she didn?t dwell on it at the moment. ?Is Yasutora coming soon?? ?He said he be around, but being Vice-Captain does have its little responsibilities.? Tatsuki said, letting her smile drop. ?I wonder about him though.? ?Hmm?? Orihimr asked, letting her gaze follow a certain Shinigami as he crossed the Training Grounds. ?? tion. Are you listening to me Orihime?? Tatsuki asked, looking puzzled. ?That Captain, the one that thinks he?s all that has a date today.? Orihimr said smiling. The Captain of the 1st squad had set his sights on Orihime when she arrived. Luckily for her, Tatsuki arrived soon after, and he kept his distance after that. All it had taken was a little ?persuasion?. ?I wouldn?t worry about it ?Hime.? Tatsuki said, standing up. ?I best be getting back to Training. You gonna wait for Chad?? ?No, I was gonna go find a partner to spar with. I need to practice.? Orihime said, standing up. ?Alright then, See you at dinner?? Tatsuki asked, heading towards the group. ?Probably.? Orihime said smiling. Orihime dusted off her bottom and stretched. They had been sitting for an hour, and her muscles were too relaxed. She made sure her says with her sword in it was still at her side, and she began to jog, sighing. The days here in the Soul Society were nice enough, but Orihime still missed her home in the living world. She missed, well, she just missed things. Although to Tatsuki this was a once in a ?lifetime? opportunity, Orihime wasn?t so sure. She stopped as she noticed Tatsuki entering the bathhouse. It wasn?t unusual of her to do that, it just seemed odd that she didn?t invite Orihime along. As Orihime bent over and took a couple of deep breaths, she was startled by a voice behind her. ?Want to practice?? It asked. Orihime made a 180 and had her hand on her Zanpakutoh. She quickly relaxed as she saw that he had a face. ?Depends on what you want to practice.? ?Whatever your game for.? ?Hmm, would you like to spar?? Orihimr said, not really sure. ?Sure, why not. I?m Akuma.? He said, stretching out his hand. ?Orihime.? She replied shaking back. ?Any rules?? ?Everywhere?s game, wana go ?till someone?s tired?? He asked, walking away from her. ?Sure.? Orihime said, putting her hand on the Zanpakutoh. ?3..2..1, GO!?
18. My first manga was Bleach. I started out watching the anime, and I went into the bookstore one day and saw it was a manga. So I thought to myself, "Hmm, why not buy it? It can't be bad, right?" Good thing I did. The anime and the manga do differ from time to time, and so it makes it worthwhile to wait on both ends. (Although, I'm only on Volume 5. Shh. Don't spread it) From there, I bought Naruto, FAKE, and Tsubasa: Resivior Chronicles. Lately, I've only been buying Naruto and Bleach, and neglecting the other two. That will change, once I get some more mulah.

Orihime smiled, and waited for him to return. ?We have to get out of here and warn everyone about this. These Hollows, there should be no more than one or two at a time.? ?You?re right. We need to?? Lilly, another of the Shunshunrikka, started to say. ?There?s another two!? Tsubaki yelled. ?Tsubaki! Kotezahnu! I reject!? Orihime yelled, watching the spirit fly for what seemed like the hundredth time. ?ORIHIME! Behind you!? A voice yelled pulling her attention to her rear. There was a Hollow, with it?s mouth open, ready to bite. ?Hinagiku, Baigon, Lily! Santen Ketshunun. I reject!? She yelled as the shield shot up, sending the Hollow stumbling. Orihime looked back at the Hollow she had sent hopefully to its death. She gasped as it stood there, its horrendous white face still there. ?Tsubaki?? Orihime asked, turning around. He was nowhere to be found, and she was getting worried. A shattering sound brought Orihime back to her rear. The Three God Shield had just busted, and the three spirits returned to the hair pin form. Orihime looked for her other two spritis, but they were also gone, replaced by the same pin. ?This isn?t good.? The two Hollows slowly began to close in on Orihime, their intents obvious. ?Her spirit Engery is incredible. We could both eat her and be full.? One said. ?I agree. You jump, and I?ll attack.? The other said, its tongue running out. Orihime stayed silent and tried to think of something. She couldn?t move to the sides because of the hills and going towards them wouldn?t help her at all. She at this point couldn?t think straight, so that may have also been a part of it. When the one sprang, Orihime knew that she was either going die, or be saved by something. Her answer came in the form of a searing pain as the Hollow landed on her and knocked her to the ground. It bit her, and she cried out. The pain was incredible. The pain stopped suddenly, as the weight on top of her disappeared. She opened her eyes, and looked around to see the face of Chad. ?Just hold on Orihime.? The images form there began to swim as she felt Chad pick her up, and move her. She swam in and out of consciousness as the bouncing awoke her from time to time. She felt the backing of the stretcher as she was loaded on, and felt the less bumpy ambulance ride to the hospital. She felt the air trickle down her throat as the doctor put her to sleep, and felt the pain in her entire body as she awoke again. She began to swim as an image of Tatsuki appeared. Her voice seemed a million miles away. It would be the last time Orihime heard her voice alive. After a twelve-hour surgery, the doctors couldn?t save her, and Orihime passed on.

It was one night, when they heard me talking with ?them? that they began to suspect that I was anything other than perfect. The doctor, he couldn?t and didn?t understand. There?s nothing wrong with me. So what if I know a couple of other people that talk to me? How does that make me crazy, or different from anyone else?? I said, standing up. ?Calm down Drew, there?s nothing to get worked up about. I?m not here to judge you. Just continue with the story.? The man across from me said. ?Well, I went to the doctor a bunch of times, I guess, to make my parents happy. I was still seeing the same doctor, before the incident.? I said, trailing off. ?What happened Drew? Your story keeps skipping. Stick to one subject and keep calm.? He said again. His ******** about staying calm wasn?t helping at all. ?The incident. You want to know about the incident. You want to know why I attacked and almost killed him, don?t you? You want to know what was going through my mind when I pulled the knife. You want to know. Well, there?s not much to say. He approached me, I felt threatened, so I attacked. That?s it. There was no hidden motive, no secret to unlock. Why do you doctors always feel that what?s there on the outside isn?t what really happened. You?ve always got to find something to report about. Just let it go.? I said, standing up. ?We?re done.? The doctor looked at me, and sighed. ?Drew, you have a problem. I just want?? That was it; this guy had crossed the line. I dashed across the room, and placed my hands around his throat. ?This is the kind of thing that gets people killed. Making assumptions based on what you think you know will not get you anywhere my friend. Now, I?m going to slowly let go. If this ever gets out, I will come for you. I don?t enjoy making threats, but hey, everyone?s gotta watch for the bug numero uno, eh?? I said, releasing the pressure. ?Good day, doctor.? That was the last session I ever went to. The doctors could only look at me and see some problem, and they never really helped. After that, things seemed balance out between school and living. My world had seemed to finally fall back into order. It wasn?t until that fateful night a couple of months ago that anything changed? I was walking home from work one night, and the voices began to converse with one another. It seemed normal enough, just talking about what happened during the day. I talked with them, laughed at a joke, and was in a good mood. I suddenly stopped when one voice began to get louder as the others. ?Drew, I need your help.? It said, obviously not one of the usuals. ?With what?? I asked, interested. ?Finding him. Azrael, he is the key.? The voice said. ?Azrael, is he an angel?? I asked, seeming interested. The voice seemed taken aback, but quickly responded ?Yes, he?s disappeared, and finding him is my top prority.? ?And you are?? I asked. I suddenly felt a rush of air, as the voice stood before me, in full regalia, wings and all. My mouth dropped open as he was eloped in a flash, and became a mere man. ?Lucifer.?
21. Strawberries: Yeah, see, that was a test, and you passed. ^__^ I have no idea: This is why I?m posting! ^__^ Monophobia Keep it there and keep it well Never give someone a free ride Somehow time always tells The part you kept inside ?His..his..sister?? Seth asked looking surprised. ?Yes. She?d been trying to find him, because she had survived what happened.? I said, watching Seth. ?But the fear he felt. Rita, I?ve never felt such a feeling. It?s like you?re heart is being stabbed by a hundred needles at the same time. It?s like having your skin eaten off by some evil purple demon. It?s like?? Seth said, starting to get flustered. ?Wait a second. What?s this crap about a purple demon?? I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me. ?It just something he thought of, I don?t have a clue.? Seth said, looking down at the bed again. ?It just sounds so out there, it?s real. You know?? I said, getting up from the bed. ?We?d better get ready to go. The bus?ll be here in 30.? ?Right.? Seth said, still seeming to be in a trance. ?I need to use the bathroom.? I let him go, and went into my closet to pick out an outfit for today. Pink and white? Red and Blue? I went through my entire closet and sighed. It seemed like I could never find anything to wear. Even though I had a closet full of clothes, today needed an extra kick. I finally picked something out, and went downstairs to pick up some breakfast and wait for Seth. He came down right after I did, and he seemed to have cleared up, but I could see that the dream was still hung low over his head. I frowned slightly, and then perked up again. Seth had a date. I don?t know why I was so happy about it. It?s not like it?s any of my business what goes on in Seth?s life, but this was the first real big thing he had done since last year. I smiled, and walked out the door, trying to see how well Seth was paying attention. He rushed out the door behind me, and I giggled. He looked at me funny, but I just returned the look. He chuckled and started to pick up his pace, leaving me behind. I just shrugged it off, and continued at my pace, enjoying the early morning breeze. It had been a real cold winter, and then, spring had brought the incredibly hot temperatures, so the nice weather was an opportunity everyone took advantage of. I finally got to the bus stop, and Seth was already deep in conversation with his friend Reid. I sighed and sat down on the bench, looking around for my friend Rachel. Her carrot colored hair was impossible to miss, even in a crowd. I gave up my search and settled on just putting my headphones in my ears. I hit play, and the sounds of Manson began to serenade me. ?No life baby!? I sang aloud, winning the stare of Reid and Seth. I waved and smiled, and turned away to blush. Doing anything that draws attention to me is something I don?t normally do, and when I do, I turn redder than a cherry tomato. Once again, it seemed like Seth?s date had a bigger impact on me then him. I banished that thought to the back of my mind, and concentrated on the music. It seemed like doing that made the time go faster, and in no time, the bus had shown up. Getting on seemed impossible, because if you weren?t one of the first twenty or so people, you had to stand the whole way there. I took one more look around the area for Rachel, and sighed, as her orange hair was nowhere to be seen. I pushed my way into the crowd, and got on the bus, securing myself a two-person seat. I left my bag there until the bus pulled away from the stop, and I realized that Rachel wasn?t coming at all. I lifted my bag up, and I was surprised to see Seth sit down next to me. He had been the first to get on the bus, and I had assumed he was sitting with Reid. ?Rita?? he said, looking down. ?What?d you do Seth?? I asked, exasperated. ?I..well?I?? He said, starting to turn red. ?Spit it out!? I practically yelled at him, getting a look or two from people. ?I broke off my date with Alyesia. I can?t do it.? Seth said, getting ready to stand up. ?And don?t try to get it back on track Rita. I have my reasons for canceling it.? All I could do was stare at him. He had set this date himself, and now he was kicking it? What was Seth trying to hide from me? ?Damn all this secrecy. I can?t believe he still wants to hide things from me.? I said to myself, getting off the bus in a huff. ?We?re twins, we should be able to tell each other everything.? Somehow, my words always come back to slap me in the face, and this time was no different. Almost as if he had heard my silent lament, Seth turned around and shot me a dirty look. I shrugged and walked into school, sighing when Seth was out of hearing range. Today had started bad, and it didn?t seem like it was going to get any better. I sighed again, and opened the doors to the school. Sorry 'bout the wait. I had this already typed, I just forgot about it. >.< Hope you guys like it.
22. ?Wait, so your saying our anscestors didn?t run the show here?? The llama said to the squirrel. ?Yeah, apparently, you were a pack mule, and I was a rabid disease carrier.? The squirrel replied, taking a sip of his tea. ?You?ve got to be kidding.? The llama said, his jaw seeming to drop. ?Would I joke of something that weird?? The squirrel replied, looking into the llama?s eyes, ?Besides, My great, great, great grandfather Foamy was one of the leaders of the rebellion against the human pigs.? ?Was he a war hero?? The llama asked, fascinated. ?No, he fought with his words. By forcing the White House under, he took control, and from there it became a man against squirrel free for all. In South America?? The squirrel began to say, but was interrupted. ?In South America, we took over. After we heard about what happened in North America, we decided we should have our day as well. We first attacked them in the fields, giving those who weren?t there no indication that anything was wrong. We then went on to attack the innocent, and enslave the children and women. From there, we destroyed the crumbling government, and took complete control.? An older llama a table away said, smiling. ?How did you know that?? The squirrel asked, looking inquisitive. ?I found one of those outdated Camcorders, and they had everything on tape.? He said, sipping his cup. ?I work in the Records area of the S/L Library.? ?Oh wow. That it is cool.? The llama said, ?Would you like to join us?? ?Mr. H Mamabad.? He said, trotting over. ?Wow, Mr. Mamabad, I?m honered.? The llama said, sticking his hoof out. ?I?m K Isllamabad. Maybe we?re related somehow.? ?I doubt it.? The squirrel said finishing his tea, ?I?m Greg.? ?Nice to meet you two.? H.M. said, smiling. ?So, do you know if the rumors about the human uprising are true?? K.I said, finishing his drink. ?They are, and you two should prepare for combat.? H.M said, looking grim. ?They?re pulling out the nuclear weapons this time.? Greg gasped, ?But I thought we?? ?So did the government.? H.M. said, still looking grim. ?What are we supposed to do?? K.I. asked, looking worried. ?Just, stay alert boys.? H.M. said, getting up from the table. K.I. waved goodbye, and watched as the older llama slinked off into the shadows. ?Some people are so pessimistic.? Greg said, waving to the waiter. ?You know it.? K.I. said, his head darting around. ?Chill out, that guy was obviously joking around.? Greg said, standing up. That was the last thing Greg or K.I ever heard. The blast obliterated the entire town. At the pearly white gates?. ?See, this is what you get for not listening to the crazy guy.? K.I. said to Greg. Greg just ignored him. ?I?m never eating at an outdoor café again.? Due to the holiday, and whatnot, the deadline is being moved to Monday July 11. So, if anyone else was planning on signing up, you?ve got another week!
23. William looked around and laughed. He had not only gotten away from the boring lecture of apple trees, he had probably landed himself in a new place. He wasn?t sure where he was exactly, but he was excited to be there, none the less. He looked around again, and let a little bit of rain damper his spirits as he saw nothing more than a horizon of darkness, but was probably sand. He looked again to see if anyone was coming, but all he had was moonlight, and the sand was the only thing there. William stood up, and dusted off the pants of his pants. Best time to walk, right? I mean deserts heat up during the day. William thought to himself as he began to walk in one direction. He no idea where to go, or what he was going to do for food, but the thought of just sitting there wasn?t very appealing. He kept at an even pace, so that he moved, but wasn?t rushing. He started to whistle a tune as he walked, and soon began to skip. He was so caught up in the excitement of being somewhere new, that he didn?t hear the hooves behind him, and was surprised when a horse neighed next to him. ?Who are you and what?re you doing out so late, and so far from town?? The rider asked, looking at William. ?I?m William Sharp, and I just got here.? William said, trying to make out a face. ?Well, you need to get back into town boy.? The rider replied, holding his hand out. ?I?ll help you get there, if you would like.? ?That would be nice, yes.? William replied, taking the man?s hand. ?And your name is?? William said as he got himself settled. ?Salorid, Salorid Diamore.? He replied, cracking the reigns. ?We should make town before morning. I assume you know someone there?? ?No, actually, I?m from a bit farther away.? William replied, stretching the truth just bit. ?But, I can probably find shelter or something like that there.? ?As you feel.? He replied, seeming to end the conversation. William thought about a million questions to ask, but he wasn?t sure whether or not he like the answer he?d get. He dared himself to one question, and blurted out ?Where are we exactly?? ?We are in Calormen.? Salorid replied. ?Oh, so are we like in Africa or something?? William asked, not realzing what he had asked. ?Africa, what is the Africa of which you speak? I?ve never heard of such a place.? Salorid said, turning to give the boy a questionable look. It gave William to get a good look at his face. Under the pale moonlight, he couldn?t make out much, but the worn lines of a man who?s lived, and lost were evident. ?Africa?s just some made up place, I sometimes forget that it?s not real.? William responded, trying to sound authentic. ?Sometimes I wish we all were somewhere else, away from everything.? Salorid said, seeming as if he was talking more to himself than William. William decided that now would be the best time to just enjoy the ride, and let Salorid do all the talking. William hoped that the ride would be over soon, not because of Salorid scaring him, but because the motion of the horse?s movement was starting to make him feel a tad sick. William quickly nodded off, depite his uncomfort, and the next thing he knew, the first rays of sunlight were peaking, and a shadow had appeared on the horizon. "That's town, isn't it?" William asked, hoping not to have scared the "driver". "Yes, it is. We should be arriving..." Salorid started, but stopped as he pulled the horse's regins to stop. "Do you see that shadow?" William squinted, but didn't see anything. "No, why?"
24. The title is just something I whipped up in a couple of minutes. It can change, and if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear/see them. Let's start with the back story, shall we? ?Are you sure they?ll be able to handle it on their own?? The Grand Council woman said to Cobra Bubbles. ?She?s pulled off more than one miracle in a day, I highly doubt she won?t succeed.? He said, cracking his knuckles. ?Besides, she has 626. They?re an evil genius experiment catching team!? Jumba said, his accent heavy. ?I?m gonna need the wigs, aren?t I?? Pleakley said, turning away from the little group. ?We?ll be out and about a lot more. I can finally see if that disguise I made will actually work!? Cobra looked at Pleakley again, and just shook his head. ?I?ll never understand him.? The duo they were referring to was none other than Lilo and Stitch. They had just arrived back on Earth after going after the other 623 Experiments that Dr. Hämpsterviel had taken as ransom for Jumba. On the ship, they released the 623 pods onto the islands of Hawaii instead of letting Hämpsterviel and Gantau gain control of them. They then escaped, and promptly set out to try to find the pods before they were activated. Unfortunately for them, in what seemed like an almost untimely manner, the pods were activated, and sent them on wild chases to try and beat Gantu to the experiment. Within a week, they had seven, and Gantu had none. Things were looking up for them, until one day? ?Stitch! He?s heading for the ocean! Cut him off!? Lilo yelled as she ran to keep up. The fat pink experiment they had been following for the past hour was headed for the ocean, and that, according to Jumba was a bad thing, because this one was capable of creating a wave big enough to destroy the island. Lilo watched as Stitch jumped from the tree, and jumped onto 520. He just bounced off, and sailed into a rock. Lilo fired the plunger gun, and the plunger stuck to 520?s bouncy bottom. As she began to pull it in, something sliced the rope clear in half, throwing Lilo to the ground. As 520 began to bounce away, a net enveloped it, and a shadowy figure emerged from the trees. ?We win, you lose, end of story.? ?Who says you get him Gantu? wait, you?re not Gantu!? Lilo said, squinting to get a better look at him. ?You?re right.? The figure said, grabbing 520. ?I?ll be seeing you little girl.? ?Stitch! It?s taking 520!? Lilo yelled, as the still slightly dazed blue experiment began to tear through the foliage. Stitch replied in his native tongue as he began to jump the trees to try and stop it. Suddenly, he fell off the tree as something smacked into him. It felt like a fist, but he couldn?t be sure. He stood up, shook his head, and received another punch to the head. Stitch said something in his tongue and was surprised to receive a response. He started to say something else, but the voice punched him once more, and then disappeared. Stitch fell over, and was found by Lilo a few minutes later. She tried to drag him back to the ship, but her little body wasn?t enough. She settled then for squirting water at him. He shot up, and looked around. ?He got away.? Stitch said looking at Lilo. ?Sorry.? ?It wasn?t your fault Stitch. Someone besides us and the big dummy are on the lookout for your cousins. This just got a bit harder.? Lilo said, sitting in the car. ?We?d better get back and tell Jumba about this. He might have something on the shadow.? The pair then pulled away, leaving the shadows watching them from the top of a tree. ?We did it this time, but we have to be faster next time. The other are already on their way, and if we caren?t careful, we?ll be found, and the plan?ll be shot down.? From there, I figured the signups would be mostly for humans, who heard about Stitch, and came to investigate. Whether they be scientists or just nerds who want their fifteen minutes of fame, they'd want to catch as many of the experiments as physically possible. Of course, Lilo and Stitch'll try to stop this, but with outside parties targeting their every move, how could they ever manage? If anyone has any more ideas, or something they think'd work better, I'm all open for suggestions. (Names would be appreciated!)
