1. Didn't Ichigo already get a hole blown through his chest the first time he fought Ulquiorra before Grimmjow intervened? What I want to know, is where the hell are Renji and Chad, they could have at least come to watch, offering such unsolicited opinions like "Oh no! We have to believe in Ichigo! Wow, that Ulquiorra's tough!" type of thing.
2. I thought LoZ: Ocarina of Time was super scary. Those undead things? Scared me to death. I couldn't beat the whole undead dungeon until I was 19 (am 22 now) because it was pretty terrible. If I got stuck in Hyrule field when the sun went down, I would hide in the river next to the castle all night (until I had the Sun's Song) so the skeleton dog things wouldn't get me.
3. Wow, I had no idea. My roommate had mentioned a store in Williamsburg having a sale, but i had no idea it was because they were cutting back. In northern VA, no Best Buy's are having a sale. I noticed today Target had picked up a lot of titles that I haven't previously seen there, but it was very mainstream stuff like Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist.
4.
haha, that post is very old, but I still do find Inuyasha irritating. The characters don't progress at all in spite of the things that happen to them. You'd think there would have been some development, but nothing ever happens. They spend the whole show cahsing one villain and the same plots are reused and recycled as they go infinitely on toward that goal. The attempts at drama and romantic tension are repetitive and the fight scenes derivative. It's a shame too since Takahashi's other works are much better.
I totally agree with you on Inuyasha, but despite all this, the show still holds a special place in my heart. If the anime had been cut down to 26 episodes instead of 516 or whatever it is, it could have been great. I personally love the romantic tension between Kagome and Inuyasha and I think it could have been more if the show/anime had been cut down and directed somewhere. It might have turned out more like the relationship between Chidori and Sousuke in the second season of Full Metal Panic. That's what I think, anyway. A truely terrible anime that I still watch if only for the laughs is Ronin Warriors. It's like a boy's sailor moon, but it has a lot more "Ohhh!"s and "Ahhh!"s freeze frame effects like Speed Racer does. Also, it makes no friggin sense.
5. Hey peeps. I've been on the regular Otaku since... I dunno, 2005 or 2006...anyways, decided to make my foray into the forums, so here I am! See ya around! -Red
