I dunno so much about higurashi as controversial. yeah, it's got lots of murders, that's about it. in my eyes, something being controversial means it promotes doing the morally criminal, and higurashi is about the misery and problems that comes with these crimes, rather than just the crimes themselves, which is why i like it. and yes, popotan was pretty bad. thanks for mentioning that one. you should look into kodomo no jikan, as i mentioned earlier.
