1. I think I have the swine flu.
 2.
I need a break... I swear, high school is f***ing up my back... I weighed my backpack and it was a stunning 31 pounds... I AM CARRYING 30 POUNDS OF BINDERS AND BOOKS ALL DAY. Even worse is that there's nothing I can do about it. Even if my locker was closer to any place I pass by, I still wouldn't have enough time to switch out books and get to my class on time...
Welcome to public high school.
 3. Ugh Paranormal Activity was such a shitfest. I can't believe I wasted ten, precious, precious dollars on it. I should have known better when I found out it was by the same director as Blair Witch Project.
 4. My friends are making me be the chesire cat because we're doing a group "Alice in Wonderland" thing, but I secretly want to be Boomer from Battlestar Galactica. Wow, I'm a nerd.
 5. Here for Raiha's obligatory Obama-rage post.
 6. When I was in 4th grade I read Animal Farm (my sister had to read it for school and I took the book during an airplane ride). My sister asked me what happened to Boxer, to which I said "they buried him :')", and then she told me what really happened. :| Also I thought the only way people "lost weight" was if someone cut them open and took out their fat.
 7.
Papers aren't proper papers unless they're finished right before handing 'm in. They're just best straight out of the oven. The best papers are those where the creator still adjusts something in the motion of handing it in.
lol FALSE. I tried continuing my "write my paper the night before" shtick at college, and it worked first semester but once I started English-major courses my professors totally laid the smack down on me. For some reason God hated me throughout high school and I was "smart" enough to write papers last minute and still get As. AKA I never learned to really edit what I wrote. Now revising/editing takes up 80% of my paper-writing process. (a/n: This is the THIRD draft of this post. I'm officially a neurotic college student.) Except this will never apply to you if you aren't an English major at an expensive liberal arts college. So don't major in English, or go to an expensive liberal arts college.
 8.
I have come to the conclusion that little old black ladies are the nicest people, ever.
Obviously you have never met the lunch ladies at my school.
 9.
On that note, Mountain Dew is a wonderful thing. Red Bull can go drown itself in Monster.
On that note, it sucks for me because nothing I've tried has actually helped me stay awake. I tried coffee with cream/sugar, black coffee, Monster, Red Bull, Coke, and nothing has worked. I always get too tired to function around five and have to go to sleep. D:
 10. My procrastination has reached an intensely nerdy level, in that I put off the assingment I'm looking forward to the least by doing a bunch of small things for my other classes that aren't due immediately or even necessary. Whenever I have to write a paper I always procrastinate by deciding to get ahead on reading in another class or type up notes. But in general my theory (for my college) is that every student procrastinates. The only thing that really matters is how long you're willing to stay up and finish the job.
 11.
Ah yes, apparently, making the mistake of a five year old (cutting my own bangs because I was too lazy to ask for help of any sort), is not a good idea. My bangs are too short now, and wearing a hat only seems to point that out even more. Dangit.
I have nightmares about my hair being hacked off.
 12. IDK if Photoshop 4.0 has this tool, but there's a "background eraser" tool that's a subset option of the eraser tool. It does exactly what you think it does. Once you use it on a small part of the gray/white space, you can use the wand tool and just erase the background.
 13. In general I'm against giving kids digital entertainment when they could be doing something that could improve their general life skills. i.e. I think it's stupid to have DVD players in cars, letting kids watch more than 30-60 minutes of TV a day, etc. when they could be reading or playing with dolls or something. Except as a side note, I will text at restaurants when I'm with my family. I think it's because usually my parents carry on a conversation between themselves while me and my sister carry on a separate one, so if someone texts me I'll answer. But I wouldn't carry on an extended conversation with someone via text. But at home, I don't text during family dinners. Also I've become sort of embittered about the overflux of knowledge that the digital world has given us. As cool as it is, and I'm really freakin' addicted, it has destroyed some aspects of good communication and analytical skill.

 15.
The simple fact is if he was not a celebrity there would be no controversy surrounding his arrest and extradition.
Hate to play the Devil's Advocate, and I'm disgusted with the entire ordeal, but the simple fact is if Polanski was not a celebrity the judge would not have been so biased and given a 50-year sentence. As much as I want Polanski to be in jail, it's very clear that the judge was letting the media get to his head. He was heard saying something along the lines of "I'm going to make sure he pays for this" before the trial. So I mean we can all sit here and agree that Polanski should be in jail, but it's not a black-and-white issue. And yeah, I don't think we really need to worry about Switzerland succumbing to a petition. They refused to join the goddamn EU, I don't think a list of celebrities will do anything. Although it does annoy me that people have actually bothered Hilary Clinton about this.
That creep needs to serve his time, whatever profession he's in. I don't understand why ANYONE would think that he should be overlooked simply for being "famous".
Because Hollywood is a self-contained, narcissistic industry built upon connections and they're deluded about the grandeur of their own work.
 16.
I see your problem. You have terrible taste in comedy.
I'm sorry you're a drunk college boy who thinks Dane Cook is hilarious and doesn't know what story structure is. You probably think Two and a Half Men is really funny too, right?
 17. I've actually been keeping up very closely with the stituation, and it's a hot mess. 1. I believe Polanski should be extradited to the US and serve his time. Being a famous movie director does not make him above the law. And I'm sorry Hollywood but a petition of 100something industry figures probably doesn't mean **** to Switzerland, so **** off. Just because someone is a great director doesn't mean he can escape his crimes. Also Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, and Guillermo Del Toro are on my **** list. (Woody Allen was always weird to me anyways.) As well as every other celebrity on that petition. On the other hand Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Edgar Wright, and Brad Bird are awesome. 2. Lol @ France for retracting their support for Polanski. 3. I also believe Polanski raped that girl. 3a. But formally he's charged/pled guilty to sex with a minor, aka statutory rape, and in California that doesn't always mean it was non-consensual. But I don't feel like looking into the California legal technicalities. And yeah, 50 years is way above the norm for that charge. The judge was biased, there's no doubt about that. Is it ****** up that Polanski was able to plea-bargain his way out of the five other charges he faced witht the DA? Yes, but that's another debate. 4. I see Polanski as a tragic figure and not some cold-hearted rapist. Yes, what he did was disgusting and vile. But he experienced trauma in his life (living through Holocaust, losing his mom to it, and having his wife/unborn child brutally murdered). I'm not trying to say it's an excuse, but it is tragic.
 18. WHY did I sign up for a journalism class. Complete waste of time and effort.
 19.
Creator of Family Guy.
I hate Seth McFarland and I hope he never makes a new show ever again. The fact that Family Guy was nominated for an Emmy still blows my mind. Don't get me started on The Cleveland Show, which I sat through stony-faced the entire time. No funny moments. Whatsoever. It's not my fault it was the first thing I saw on Hulu. Seeing Family Guy in the same category as 30 Rock and HIMYM made me want to rip my esophagus out. Simpsons > Futurama > King of the Hill ~ Venture Bros. > South Park > something else > Dog **** > Family Guy
 20.
I got asked out by a guy who was a famous meme from 4chan. It was odd. I said no.

Sean Matuszak. (click)
Why didn't you punch him in the balls instead?
 21. I was 14 years old five years ago. My advice: - Write every day. - Continue drawing every day. - Study more. - Start running every day. - Don't be such a ***** to your mom. I really want to take up writing but in a stupid way I'm disheartened that I hadn't started earlier. And it's just hard to find the time now.
 22. Force yourself to take notes (unless you're in HS... then I just drew).
