That's sort of the reason it's rated R. Parents should know their children enough to know if they're responsible enough to watch the Matrix and not go haywire.
-
You know, I don't think they're actually...really insane...right?
-
Besides my usual answer of Akira or Ghost in the Shell(finally watched it!), I'd have to say Grave of the Fireflies. It was one of the most moving, touching, and sad anime movies ever to be created. Very good movie, I reccomend it to anyone.

What are they gonna do? Sue the Wachowski Brothers? HEY! You guys made your movie TOO VIOLENT! Now let's SUE ANIME!!! ....right. It's their fault, and anyone stupid enough to do something dangerous because they watched a movie should be punished, anyway.

Vegeta Rocker, if you'd read the the second post I wrote, I just answered all your questions. I never said the big eyes=anime, I said even if Japan took the big eyes, small mouth concept from America, (i.e. Mickey Mouse), they exaggerated it and is now more commonly known as anime. I am not trying to trash american cartoons here, I'm just saying these shows (i.e. Totally Spies, Teen Titans, Jackie Chan Adventures) borrow elements of animation made by the Japanese/Koreans/Chinese. You know, the sweatdrop, the vein, the blue lines, the agitated and surprised expression. The only shows I mentioned were Totally Spies, Teen Titans, and Jackie Cahn Adventures. Jackie Chan Adventures...ok, this show doesn't use so much of the anime. But Totally Spies and Teen Titans specifically use the sweatdrop, vein, etc. These expressions were NOT used by american cartoonists. I can assure you of that.

Thanks, AzureWolf....but, I'm a girl. O_O Lol, but I don't care. People always mistake me for a boy. Anyways, I think that these shows are just the brginning of the whole thing. Japan isn't the only country that's going to supply us with anime, right? I mean, Korea and China definately have their share of anime. Another example os the Tokyopop Manga contest, and which they say that want to pursue the future of manga artists in the US, and I think it's a great idea. But yeah, the shows that are adapting to this idea aren't doing a good job, in my opinion. Although, Samurai Jack is a show I really like.

^_^ Just saying this only because of the artwork in the cartoons, not the plots or ideas. I'm saying this because I beleive even if Japan borrowed ideas, Japan also exaggerated the big eyes, small mouth, etc. and is more commonly known as Japanimation. Surely, even if America started it, they're borrowing specific expressions and art-style that originated from the Japan animation.

I wasn't sure if this should've gone to the Music, Movies, etc. forum or here, so I posted it here. O_o How do you feel about the shows that take some anime elements and mix them with american cartoons? To name one, Totally Spies (which is a horrible show, I might add) definately take anime style art and exressions. Teen Titans, too. When I first saw the previews for that, it reminded me of anime, and from what I heard, also used anime expressions. I guess...Jackie Chan Adventures uses some of the elements as well. What do you think?

O_O I LOVED ED! Her funny expressions and random acts of insanity was....so good! >__>;; I love Ed. Anyways...I don't think Cowboy Bebop is really the best anime, but I think it's a very good anime. It's one of my all-time favorites, and it captivated me from episode one.

::nods:: I like musicals, too. I fell in love after I watched Les Miserables at broadway. Got crappy seats, but hey... And I love musical pieces played by a good orchestra and band.

Very nice job for doing it on the computer. Do you use a tablet or a mouse? Well, I like the coloring as well. Good job!

I saw this thing a loooong time ago, but I'm still going to say that I loved it. I thought it was really neat. Though, there's a better quality version of it lurking around on Kazaa. But I think you need DivX. ::hugs DivX player::

I don't think the music taste that I have will ever really change. I've always loved the Goo Goo Dolls and whatnot, so I don't think it should change as you grow up. I mean, I see adults listening to what they liked a long time ago all the time. Perhaps, though, I'd probably start listening to classical music more often. I don't people appreciate classic as much...

Even if kids are getting more disrespectful as I said earlier, I'd advise you not to do that again. Call the freaking cops, and stop acting like a one-man defense system. -
Note: As in wrong treatment I was referring to your use of blacks going through "racial outcast". Two different issues at two different times? I think their pretty similiar. Blacks couldn't get fair treatment. They couldn't get the treatment that whites recieved. Gays aren't getting the fair treatment striaght people recieve. Time difference doesn't really matter.
-
Lol, are you saying gays haven't gone through any wrong treatment? Sure, the gay people living in modern times aren't probably killed on sight in America, but the verbal and sometimes physical abuse that has been inflicted upon them is also something very bad. Being and outcast and constantly being made fun of isn't exactly good, either. And excuse me, but I think homosexuals are subjected to racial torment. By Webster's terms: 2 : racial prejudice or discrimination and discrimination certainly can count for gays. The African-american people who were protesting were fighting for their beleifs, and their beliefs were that "If whites can get a good education, then so should we. If whites can get better facilities so should we." If hets can get the freedom to marry, adopt a child, write certain things in their will, I say gays should too.

What you do when you're bored is getting a swivel chair and go to a part in your house that's wood floor. Get your dog and grab its tail, and then swing yourself around and watch your dog howl and go insane. Heh, just kidding. I'm getting pretty bored too, but I'm going back to school August 12th, so I'm happy. ^_^ All I do is sit around and occasionally do my piano, eat, sleep, get on the computer, and draw. Very exciting, wouldn't you say so?
