2.
Well, my Asian-American lit class has broken the previous record for most books required for one of my classes, with the amount of 7. Thankfully most of them are relatively short paperbacks. But I guess that's nothing compared to my quantitative reasoning class's one book costing more than double the amount of the other 7 combined.
One of my history classes had 11 books and we used 3 of them.
 3.
My roommate went to sleep at nine. o_O
My entire hall went to sleep at ten yesterday because we were all feeling sick and scared of getting swine flu.
 4. My university has at least 100 students in quarantine for swine flue and had 70 new cases today. lol.
 5.
Sounds like a party, though. :^D
A party for ****ers who eat KFC when Zaxbys/Chick-fil-A is right next door.
 6. One of my professors has a cane and talks like Dr. House. I was thinking of dropping the class before but NO MORE
 7. Someone has charged $233 to my debit card to buy Carribean food, liquor, and KFC. I hate this ****er.
 8.
Actually, I went to two parties last weekend & am going to two this weekend. I didn't drink at the last two & won't be drinking at the next two. I love college.
I was jk...sort of lol I remember in high school I was so anti-drinking to the point where I just didn't want to be friends with anyone who drank. Within the first week of college my entire mindset changed har har
 9.
I love college. That is all.
You love college, or alcohol? :p
 10. Going back to college tomorrow, I'm neither excited nor depressed about it. I just don't want to pack everything and go school shopping, or buy textbooks. -_-
 11. Generic Cheesy Pasta I make this all the time and I love it. And it's very easy to make. :) I never really use measurements so I do everything by eye, so you can put whatever amount while cooking. - 1/2 - 1 diced onion - 1/2 - 1 diced tomato - olive oil - crushed garlic - Mozarella cheese chunks - penne pasta 1. Cook pasta and then let it drain, put it aside for now. 2. Heat up a wok or wok-like pan and pour approx. 1/6 - 1/4 cup of olive oil (depends on how oily/dry you want the dish to be). 3. When oil is heated put 1/2 spoonfuls of crushed garlic (I actually put in like 3/4 because I really like garlic lol) and let it simmer. 4. While the garlic/oil is simmering, put in the diced onions and tomatoes and let it cook. Add salt/pepper if you think it's not flavorful enough for you. 5. Now add in the cooked pasta and mix everything around. Throw in the chunks of mozarella cheese and let them melt a bit. Now eat it. It's really good and you can use bread to soup up the sauce that's created by the olive oil/garlic/tomato juice. Cry with happiness.
 12. I take calls while driving, I honestly have never felt like I would ever lose control of the car due to talking to someone via cell. shrug I also text while driving, because I've memorized the texting pad and can just text with one hand on the cell, one hand on the wheel, and both eyes on the road.
 13. Vh1 is so irrelevant now, the only good thing they had was Best Week Ever and no one watched that any more. Flavar Flaz and New York are the skeeziest people in existence I hope they DIAF gtfo vh1
 14.
I think VH1 promotes gold digging now with that show "Megan Wants a Millionaire".
SHOCKING
 15.
Both Jessica Alba and Scarlet Johansen have that cutie factor that Megan Fox lacks. Megan Fox is "I'd hit it" while the other two are that plus "I'd cuddle and treat it right before and after and during." In a masculine I-like-beer-and-boobs kind of way, of course.
mte lol
 16.
The two hottest brunettes on the acting scene are coming out with movies in September, Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body and Mila Kunis in Extract...*ahem* squee. Aside from those...yea I wanna see Inglorious Basterds.
I'm only agreeing with this because the other hot brunette actresses out there aren't acting as much right now/aren't really that famous. But personally I'd add Leighton Meester and Olivia Wilde (as much as I hate her character on House...) to the bunch. For a while I was thinking Megan Fox fade into the background soon enough like Jessica Alba and Scarlet Johansen, but who knows. She's got Jennifer's Body and Jonah Hex coming out. Anyways as much as I think she's very hot she's no beauty.
 17.
I'm just a 24 nut, though I will admit that for the first time I didn't really care for the last season so I didn't watch all the episodes.
I also like 24 because it finally got rid of the Chuck Norris fad that gripped my school, since Jack Bauer took his place.
As far as movies go, honestly the only movie I've seen this year that I thought was good was The Dark Knight. Everything I hardly bothered to watch. Movies for the past couple of years has been losing its draw points for me, and I just get to the point where I just don't want to even see new movies anymore. Oh yeah, it's almost close to impossible to get me to read novels. If I don't have to read chances are I'm not since I hate reading. (But I encourage everyone else to continue reading XD.) All we did in elementary/middle school (3rd Grade up to the 8th) were book reports, and they made me sick. So now I just can't stand to read books anymore.
My movie ***** post Yeah I totally know where you're coming from. I'm really tired of Hollywood relying on adaptations of other franchises, it's getting sort of ridiculous. I mean they're remaking The Orphanage and Let the Right One In, and those movies came out within the last 2 years. I got sooo annoyed when I heard they would be Old Boy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. And G.I. Joe? Jesus ****ing christ The only movies I am looking forward to seeing this season is The Lovely Bones and MAYBE Inglorious Basterds. Getting tired of the Judd Apatow School of Humor, too, except I still like him for injecting something new into Hollywood. Man TV does it SO much better these days, and that's saying something since I recognize that most TV is terrible. TBH the only new network show I am looking forward to for Fall 2009 is Glee. The new shows for the CW make me want to cry.
 18.
Actually, probably not.

I'm sort of a mixed bag when it comes to tv shows in general, but I do watch my share of tv. Granted it's been hard to watch some of those shows do to class being so late in the day.
I know, as soon as I got to college my tv watching was reduced to weekly gatherings to watch Gossip Girl and 30 Rock. But this summer I went crazy, I downloaded about 5 new shows and constantly rented DVDs of shows I was interested in. And still I can list about 6 shows off the top of my head I still need to sink my teeth into. :) Though I'm not going to lie, I never really saw the appeal of NCIS. Or CSI for that matter. And I've never seen 24 but I remember how obsessed all the guys at my high school were with it. I sort of freak out when I discover a great TV show, mostly because I've been so disappointed by film lately (idk why, but every "great" new movie I watch now underwhelms and disappoints me. Hell I didn't even like "Up" that much, I even wrote a lengthy Facebook note about why it wasn't good.) But yeah I totally embrace tv/film as the new art forms. Novels are a dying form and TBQH I don't really mind (says the English major). As an entertainment junkie it saddens me when no one else around me is not as obsessed with how amazing shows can be and I have no one to nerd out with IRL and I have to resort of LJ comms.
 19.
NCIS and MMA (Only thing I have to watch is UFC and WEC) are great stuff. I'm also a fan of Burn Notice and Law and Order: SVU. I don't really watch G4 anymore unless it's for G-phoria or E3. Sometimes I watch X-play if I'm able to catch it or really bored... (but they don't talk about anything that interest me anymore.)
Can we start a TV discussion now? I'm ****ing obsessed with television, being a tv writer would make the happiest little delusional college student ever. I use the shows people like to judge them, no I'm not joking. SO LIST YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS (old and new)! Mine (bigger=I like it moar): 30 Rock (WHY AM I NOT TINA FEY) Arrested Development Avatar: The Last Airbender Burn Notice (I WANT HIS CAR) Dexter (
I MISS DOAKES
) Futurama Gossip Girl House (THE FIRST 4 SEASONS ANYWAY) Law & Order SVU Mad Men (SORTA OVERRATED) The O.C. Rome The Simpsons SUPERNATURAL (THE BEST WORST SHOW EVER) Weeds Venture Brothers If you couldn't tell right now I'm sort of obsessed with Supernatural.
ALSO FAMILY GUY SUCKS FUTURAMA > FAMILY GUY EVERYTHING > FAMILY GUY WHY IS IT STILL ON GODDAMIT

 20.
O_O .........Uhm...if it makes you feel better, I won't go to Thursday night workout and instead spend all Thurs.-Sun. icing it and resting it, mmmkaaay???
:'D
 21.
Also, I went ahead and sparred anyway. Before you start jumping at me, let me just say this: I did not throw any kicks with my right leg. Partly because I wanted to rest it, mostly because it hurts like heck to lift it. So, yaaay.
FINE IGNORE OUR CAREFULLY THOUGHT OUT ADVICE JUST IGNORE IT
In other news: Am I the only one who sees this commercial and immediately wants to set fire to a middle school?
No, it makes me want to set fire to the clothes The kids are actually pretty cool.
 22.
I have been able to successfully refrain from limping! And I asked my Dad about what happens to a knee when it gets hit from the side... He said it doesn't heal and that the joint would need to be replaced. I'm a bit skeptical, though. Yeah, I still haven't told my parents about this, but between my sister breaking her ankle and my Dad getting mild celulitis, I just CAN NOT get injured right now. Not to mention my mom said she'd make me quit karate if I ever got injured there... And that will NOT happen.
The best thing you can do right now is to try and keep as much weight off of it as possible and RICE. If your knee still hurts in 3 weeks something is probably wrong. Don't try to "ignore the pain away".
 23.
Gaaah...my knee got even worse... It hurts to bend or lift it and my foot's sort of pointing out at a weird angle... But I think I'll still push myself and go to sparring tonight...probably...:animesigh
I wouldn't if I were you. Knee/foot/ankle problems shouldn't be "pushed", and if you don't have a tournament coming up soon it'd be better to just RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) it for a week before straining it again. Buy some wraps and put some ice in a bag within a towel, ice the areas 10-20 minutes several times a day...
