1.
Yep, those are the ones. But there's also the jeans the younger generation wear... they're hard to explain. Like feminine, not baggy bit not skin fitting, sort of trailing down over the heels and dragging along the floor. They're hard to explain but... the majority of the lesbians around our Gay Village scene have the same style. And the same hair! THE SAME CUTS! Silly girls. It's probably something to do with the L Word...
Boyfriend jeans? Although girls who can pull off boyfriend jeans are awesome. I've only seen like one girl in real life do it.

  4.
Wow. It's cool that you wear emo style.....................anyways, what styles do you find attractive on the opposite sex?
Best) Simple Prep: polos, blazers, slacks, khakis, vests, butterfly bow ties, striped ties, Sperrys, oxfords, sweaters, etc. Dress a guy with one or two of these items from J. Crew/Ralph Lauren/etc. and it's automatic win. Acceptable) Edgy gent, casual, urban Unacceptable) Super-Prep (because guys will look gay at this point), punk, emo, hipster, hip-hop, glam But I also like it when guys wear really guy-like clothes, if that makes sense. Like if it's winter, I will melt if I see a guy in a nice toggle coat and scarf. But if I see a guy with tousled hair, jeans, and some generic winter ski-jacket, and he looks good without caring, I will probably melt more.
  5.
Personally, I them all of them are pretty ugly...:animedepr Those pics made me cringe a little. I just gagged at the memory...
SAY WHAT?
No. Nick is cute and Kevin is ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You youngsters are harsh, [strike]although Nick is clearly the most beautiful[/strike] I love all of my JoBros equally. But in JB news I've never listened to their album "It's About Time" before, and I love Inseparable. iTunes play count at 86 and rising.
  6.
Lunox........................................why? That picture just erased my beautiful image of Nick. WHY DO YOU DO SUCH THINGS?!!!!:animecry:
I'm sorry bb. One of all three will make it better. Also to make this more on topic, their music video for Lovebug is coming out October 19. It's 40s style, which makes me melt. Apparently the story will be of a solider leaving for war and his girlfriend, or something.

  10. I've never had it. I'm waiting for the one night I'll be overloaded with work and I'll drink my first cup of black coffee and experience the wonders of caffeine. But I would never drink it for fun.
  11.
You can deem the position "worthless" but, like people have already said, God forbid something happen to John McCain Palin would be in charge. We have to go over these scenarios before running off to the voting booths and casting our ballot for the Presidential candidate alone.
Yeah, but I think it's sort of silly how everyone keeps bringing it up. He's in pretty damn good shape, and he's not going to keel over. At least that's what the Mayo Clinic says, and I trust them. lol And he's a tough guy. I think we can lay off on the death-scenario thing. And his family history is better than Obama's, if you want to look at it that way. VPs are important this round (I guess, not really, meh), yeah, but... I'm starting to think people are more concerned with the VPs than they are the actual presidential candidates. I don't really think about assassination attempts and age when I think about who I want to vote for, as they're incredibly subjective and generally not worth worrying about.
Okay, so if Joe Bidden died then Nancy Pelosi would become vice president. But if McCain died then Palin would become president, big difference.
At least Stewart and Colbert would have their funniest episodes ever if this happened.
  12.
As for me, I really don't know who I'm going to vote for in November anymore. I really did have faith in my party to bring forth a candidate whom I'd feel comfortable voting for, and they did so with Senator McCain. Unfortunately though, Sarah Palin sort of soiled the ticket for me this year. After watching some of her interviews, and hearing her convey the idea that we should invade our ally, Pakistan, if it means "keeping the terrorists out", I just don't know that I can bring myself to vote someone like that into the White House, especially one who would be a heartbeat away from being our President.
I don't know if Cheney has changed this or something, but keep in mind that the VP position is usually worthless. Unless you think McCain dying is a huge threat, I don't see McCain giving much power to Palin.
  13.
Anyway, a lot of conservative commentators have suggested that the candidacy of Palin will somehow woo Hillary supporters. I think that this assertion is inherently sexist, because it implies that women do not think critically about political issues.
That's what they want to happen. lol As a female I'm sort of miffed that Palin might be our first vice president. In a sweeping generalizing statement that I expect no one to get angry at, I love how everyone called Clinton a ***** but now are all defensive about Palin and her family values and private issues. Also I wanted to inject some fun into this thread.
  14.
She's energizing mccain's base to abandon him for fear that this moronic pawn might someday wield power.
I'm pretty ok with that, too.
  15. My bad, I read that too quickly. If there is one thing I like about Palin it's that it got so many people intereted in the presidential race again.
  16.
It wouldn't matter if she "learned" how to answer questions instead of "dodging them" -- she was still going to get heat. Even if she did well, which she did, the left-wing talking heads were going to over-analyze her and use it against her. If she did bad they were going to take it and run with it until the election is over.
Saying that the opposing party would have attacked Palin anyway is like saying the sky is blue. Everyone gets heat, and I hope by "left-wing taking heads" you weren't including me.
Second: how about you tell that to the MSM? I'm so sick and tired of being constantly reminded of her daughter's private matters. Honestly, why were her and her unborn child brought in to be used against her mother's stance on abstinence anyways? Just because her mother is in favor of something doesn't obligate her to think the same way. For all we know she could be a Democrat.
I don't speak for the MSM, what did you expect? As an educated viewer the best you can do it be the change you want to see and influence others around you to do the same. But I laugh at the idea of Palin being a Democrat.
  17.
But since I can already imagine your stance to be the stance so many of the moderately snobbish or otherwise elitist I think I'll spare myself and say this: Sarah Palin just shot Joe Biden between the eyes and made him look a fool on national television. And did he not have it coming?
You're kidding, right? Sarah Palin made Biden look like a fool? Neither of them looked like a fool, but if anything Sarah Palin needs to learn how to answer questions rather than dodge them and recite speeches on things she wants to talk about. And wow, don't bring "snob" and "elitism" into this. I don't care that she went to a bunch of community colleges, and her family has some private issues to handle. She happens to be an extreme right-wing politician who supports ideas that a lot of people don't like. If there was any relation between elitism and being against Palin, it'd be that young, educated people tend to be liberal and liberals tend to dislike Palin.
  18. It makes me glad that I will living in a college bubble for the next four years. One that loves me and gives me lots of financial aid.
  19. I recently got to interview this band called Hot Chip, I had no idea who they were at first so I spent a while getting all their background info and listening to their stuff. I actually liked it a lot, especially their songs Over and Over and Ready for the Dance Floor. Anyone who likes electro-pop, or the whole offbeat Indie thing would probably enjoy them.

    Piano Playing

I used to play, I got lessons for about eight years and then I quit. I used to play the cello, too, but I miss playing the piano much more. Unfortunately when I learned piano my teacher wasn't very thorough and I didn't learn the basics well. I could play songs pretty well, but only after I memorized them, which was a problem as I never developed any good sight-reading skills. I basically played songs over and over enough so that I memorized the notes and didn't have to rely on my knowledge of notes. lol So when I moved onto a better teacher she made me cry sometimes as she yelled at me during practice, but it helped.
  21.
Will you marry me?
Only because of your Ivy League ~connections~.
  22. Lol no, he just did a show at our college and I hung around afterwards to get a picture with him.
  23.
You know, when I use the phrase "pure", it was more in respect to archetypes and statistics in videogames
So, like, I just spent five minutes trying to figure out what this even means.
  24.
Whatever, if you love your maths and physics, then it's a good place to be. Unfortunately, the money isn't in Biomedical Engineering [at least in Australia] until you've been working for quite a while with a number of successes/grants under your belt. Maybe 5-10 years after graduation you'll be earning a respectable sum [or earlier if you luck out into a good private company]. If you do like engineering, most of the money is in Chemical Engineering. A friend of mine was already working in his fourth and final year of study as a cog in a company somewhere, and he was promised a AU$70 000 per year salary when he graduates, within five years he should be up to $100 000 and beyond if he climbs the responsibility ladder.
That's true in the US, too. At least from what I've heard/know...but I think it's because it's a relatively new field. Two of my friends are in biomedical engineering, but they're pre-med (yes, they are studying 24/7). ChemE apparently rocks your wallet since you can work in oil or something, but I think getting a degree in any sort of engineering is safe. If I were a genius, I would totally try and get into a top 5 law school and rake in the money asap. lol
