Scooby Doo. I grew up with that, and have always loved it. Of course, they were mostly re-runs because I was not too alive during its original broadcasting, but I grew up with it anyway. I love the original Scooby Doo shows. I like the spinoff "A Pup Named Scooby Doo", and the other shows are okay. Besides the originals and the "Pup" everything else is just kind of beaten down. I just like a comedic mystery. Sure, they are not really all that well written, but I was young and did not care. I still do not. I just love the show. That, and Thelma is a babe. ^_~

If you could be anyone? who would you be
PiroMunkie replied to XC SpydeR's topic in General Discussion
Davey Havok, Jade Puget, Hunter, or Adam Carson. Any one of them would do. I would love to be able to sing like Davey, play guitar like Jade with those kick *** metal riffs, play bass like Hunter with those ear catching intros, or play the drums like Adam. I would love to know what it is like to be in a band like that. I would love to know what kind of lives they truly lead. I would love to know what it is like in their shoes. What kind of things do they think about? What do they do when not doing anything pertaining to their music career? So many questions I would like to know. Of course, at the end of the day, I would just like to go back to being myself. -
Of course other people wonder about stuff, lol. It is practically human nature. If people never wondered about anything, we would never find any answers. Heck, answers would not even exist because we would not even be asking any questions. If people never wondered anything, then we would probably be extinct through a possibility of uncountable reasons. I am sure many people have died by wondering, lol. For example, "I wonder what happens if I jump from this cliff?". At some point I am sure no one knew of mortality, and that had to be learned somehow. I wonder about things all of the time. Whether they are serious issues (usually emotional problems I am having), or just funner stuff (like what it would be like to be Death). I love to wonder. It is one of the greatest things I enjoy doing. Question everything. Find those answers.

He looks like a procelain doll in the second photo. That is almost symbolic. Deb, I really wish I had a way to help you, comfort you, and give you all that you really deserve... I really do. It saddens me, and others I am definately sure, to see you this way. I know I do not know you too well, but just from reading about what has happened to you is enough to conjure up whatever sympathy dwells internally. The 'turning to drugs' part saddens me the most. I really hate to see people do that to themselves, and I usually dislike those that do it but I understand your situation. I only hope that you will stray from that in the future if you have not made that choice already. I wish I could give you a token of some kind; something of mine. I want you to know that you are never alone. All I can give you is what you can imagine. For now, I want you to imagine an embracing, deep hug, and know that I am never letting go.

Anime Who is your favorite dbz side character??
PiroMunkie replied to DragonClaw2's topic in Otaku Central
Well, this is pretty spammy just to begin with and does not even offer any depth to the posts. With that, I close this topic. Goodbye. -
Heh, that is a pretty neat idea. I cannot say that the design itself is excellent, but I guess it serves its purpose. ^_^ Now all you need to do is get a picture of yourself wearing that shirt so we can see it in action, and be moved to join! ... Or at least create another account, lol.
Originally posted by Hataki Vash Even though its not co-ed, and theres no girls, I still had a great time.
You know... some place not being co-ed often means that there is a definite lack of one of either genders present, lol. As for your question, I have have to a Catholic school in the past. All through my gradeschool career I was in a Catholic school, and my freshman year I was in a Catholic high school. I was never much of a religious person to begin with, though I have been through a majority of the sacrements. It simply just was not for me, and so I just left it and went to a public school. Public education was more enjoyable. A lot of the religious high schools around here are rather immoral, anyways. In terms of subtle brainwashing. No joke. Simply trying to close off the students' minds to believe that they are right and anyone whose beliefs are contrary should be spit on.

Originally seen on the official AFI website. 08.28.03 - AFI WINS VMA AWARD! No matter what you think about awards, there are some awards that actually do mean something. MTV's Video Music Awards Viewer's Choice award is an award that means something, because lots of people - real people - vote for the winner. AFI won a VMA award in the MTV2 Category tonight, and we just want to thank all of you who supported the band and voted for AFI.
That is all I really cared about, lol. Though I hear that Johnny Cash was nominated for several awards. Thumbs up for Johnny Cash.
Originally posted by James It's like when Piro was correcting me on the kind of weapon that a punk would use...I mean, the difference was between a knife and a baseball bat or something. I just thought that it was very amusing. ^_^
That dealt with connotation more so than it did stereotypes. As in the word "punk" has a barbaric connotation, and a blunt object, such as a bat, is more barbaric in use. It aims to maim, not to kill (not saying you cannot kill anyone with a bat, or maim anyone with a knife). So yeah, a stereotype is not quite the same as a connotation. Though I could see where they could get confused. I just felt some need to say that... >.>
Originally posted by Amarant Goth: kinda like a grunger except they make there skin look white, paint their nails black and wear much more black stuff.
That has to be the most shallow description of goth that I have ever seen...
Me i'm just myself, I wear what i want to wear and i listen to wot i want to listen to.
That is what you may think, but I am more than sure others think differently. As for me, I really do not like stereotypes, which in turn makes me a hypocrite because I love to exploit stereotypes in other people, lol. It is always with the greatest of sarcasm, though. I suppose if I was to categorize myself, I would simply have to go with punk. People can call me what they want, frankly I do not care. Whatever helps them sleep at night. I am too many things to simply be lumped into one spot (though, punk has developed a much broader definition these days). I have been called gay. I have been called bisexual. I have been called punk. I have been called goth. I have been called an ***hole. I have been called "the sweetest guy". I have been called a lot of things, but just because someone says it is so, even if it is I who says it, does not make it true. Most of my friends have said that they most often describe me to other people by just saying that I "am just (insert my name here)". They even say I have my own gender, sexual preference, image, etc. That is all I have for now. [edit] Good chryst, just look at my banner in my signature. It goes from crazy skull thingy, to pretty pink lady, lol. o_O;

Personally, I would just use a CSS stylesheet. Like so: < style type="text/css"> body { background: #ffffff; background-image: url(http://www.freewebs.com/genkai/excelsaga2.jpg); background-repeat: value; [repeat, no-repeat, repeat-x, repeat-y] background-position: valueI valueII; [valueI: top, center, bottom, percentage, pixel number] [valueII: right, center, left, percentage, pixel number] background-attachment: value; [scroll, fixed] } < /style> Just put that within your "head" tags, and take the spaces out from the beginning and ending tags. I have already put in your image, here is how the rest of it works: background-repeat: Insert whichever of the following sounds like the way you want it in place of the word "value". ? repeat - this will make the given image repeat across the background both vertically and horizontally. ? no-repeat - will have the image stay just in one place. ? repeat-x - will have the image repeat horizontally across your backrgound. ? repeat-y - will have the image repeat veritcally up and down your background. background-position: I am going to assume you would want it starting in the top left corner. so just put "top" in place of "valueI", and "left" in place of "valueII". background-attachment: Insert whichever of the following sounds like the way you want it in place of the word "value". ? scroll - The background will move along with the rest of the page when scrolled. ? fixed - The background will not move when scrolling down the page. The text will just move over it. Though, honestly, I would try to cut down the filesize of that background first. o_O That is pretty much a dial-up user's nightmare, lol.
Originally posted by Valick I would think as far as government goes, it would be an Anarchy.
Lol, I cannot even begin to fathom how ironic that post is. It does not even make sense. If the Saiya-jins lived in a society of anarchy, then there would be no ruler, no government, no type of authority what so ever. It would be utter chaos. I would say the Saiya-jins lived in a more primal society. Just look at the system given by any group of animals that has a reputation for being territorial. There is no real "royal bloodline". Whoever is the strongest (and actually cares to rule over the others) is the ruler. This person would be the "alpha male". I am sure anyone who has watched the DragonBall Z/GT series has noticed the constant reference to the Saiya-jins as nothing but damn, dirty "apes". They even transform into ape-like creatures. They are a savage race that acts upon instinct and not reason. So there is no religion. Relationships are most likely out the window, especially since Saiya-jins were just sent off as children to go and conquer planets. There is obviously not going to be much for family values. They do what they have to do to survive, and through whatever means. Unfortunately, and inevitably, what they were doing was not good enough.
Originally posted by Lrb I've always wanted to be an Actor for broadway or something. At least a play with singing.
Those are called musicals. As for me, I want to do something pertaining to some kind of art or aesthetic. Such as a graphic designer or a web designer since I like to use computers. Or maybe do something with actual "manual" art, as in drawing and such. I think an animator would be too much. I do not have much consistency to make every drawing look just the same except from what movement is going on. Perhaps make comic books or something. That would be fun. I would also like to get into performance arts as a TV/Movie actor. I do not really see myself as a Broadway person or anything like that. I do enjoy acting, though. It is definitely something I would like to get into.

Anime Couldn't DragonBall Z's animation be better ?
PiroMunkie replied to Pagan's topic in Otaku Central
I have never really thought that DragonBall's animation was all that bad. Although, I see it that it is just a cartoon. I do not expect much from it. DragonBall was of course much more lacking in animation quality, but that was much more child oriented than DragonBall Z. The only part that might have really appealed to slightly older people was the perverted humor, heh. DragonBall Z was pretty good I thought. It was fun to see its progression. As more sagas went by, the better the animation would get. By the time it got to the Buu Saga it was pretty decent, especially dealing with a character like Buu who can mold, stretch, and what not. I have not seen all that much of DragonBall GT to really compare it. Only several clips and such; not really enough to get a good idea of its animation quality. Though, the entire DragonBall series' animation is far better than Pokemon or Speed Racer, lol. Though, Speed Racer is kind of classic. Bad animation is sometimes just fun to watch. -
I thought the first and second Tremors movies were pretty good, but after that it just got boring. They did not really introduce anything new and exciting. I mean, the second one was good because after the first all we thought those things could do was burrow underground. The second one broke that mold by having the creatures be able to move on top of the land. The third, however, fell into a pattern by then, logically, moving them to the air. Predictable. If you are going to make a trilogy, one really has to make sure that the third is almost nothing like the first two, lol. You want to end it with a bang. I never even bothered with the series. That is when you know it has just gone too far, lol.

It really depends on how the person or thing is harmed/injured or whatever. If it is just a normal happening, it really does not phase me in any way, but if it is rather bizarre I tend to get rather excited, laugh, and such. One time I was camping and a couple of my friends and I were walking around. We found this tree that was fallen over, loose and such. It took myself and my bigger friend to lift one end of it up. Our other friend happened to walk under it that the time we decided to drop it, so he got clocked on the head pretty hard, lol. I laughed at that. A completely avoidable situation and he walked right into it. Also, in the movie The Ring, when
the horse jumped over the side of the boat and clipped its back legs on the edge of the boat
, I found that utterly hilarious. My friends next to me did not, however, and called me mean for laughing at it, lol. i do not know... you do not see that happened everyday.
Originally posted by Turkey Very clean and detailed, and really faithful to the original...I like! I have already finished coloring it, lol. I posted it in another topic because I was the last to post in this one. Art Just some cruddy attemps ( sp? ) at airbrushing..
PiroMunkie replied to a topic in Creative Works
I like that "White Hole" one actually, more so than I liked the others. It could probably do just fine without the text though. The other ones are okay. They just seem to be lacking something. -
That, is right! Other commercial advertisement may sell you this for $99.99, or even so much as $149.99. Though, I am here to offer it to you (yes, YOU!) for only $2,540.53!!! Call now and get a bucket of cheese absolutely free(except for a small service charge of $50.00)!! Call this "toll free" number today! Sorry, no COD's. Well, enough of that. Being that I was the last one to post in my previous topic, which is obviously pretty much dead I just created another. At long last I finally got the drawing colored in and such. It turned out pretty well, I think. Umm... yeah. That is all I really have to say. For those that did not see it before it was colored you can see it here: http://www.otakuboards.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=469196 The file size is pretty big, 220KB or something of the like. So be patient. ^_^

LoLZ, OMg... Apackolips HOBOKIN iz teh gr8est bnd EVR!!!!1!!1!!seveteen!! On a more serious note, Apocalypse Hoboken is truly one of my favorite bands. I could even be so bold as to put them right up there with AFI. It is not the same kind of music, but the enjoyment I get out of them is pretty much the same. I only wish I had the extra money to buy what CD's of their I can find, but I have to wait until either I find another job or until Christmas. Currently, I am listening to House of the Rising Son of a ***** on playlist. I only actually own Microstars, but as soon as I can I shall be getting the others. I am with Tony in the fact that I love the guy's voice. I have not heard anything like it, that I can think of, and I find it hard to even imitate it. At first they are just kind of fun to listen to, but once you actually read the lyrics and get into the song you enjoy them so much more. It is really great. Their songs usually have a good variety in sound as well. One rarely sounds like another. Is the entire name Apocalypse Hoboken the name of a town? I thought it was just Hoboken. It is up by Lake Eerie or something like that; one of the great lakes... I think... The current lyrics in my signature: "Tucked away is a little boy pulling worms apart. Inside that little boy is a broken little boy heart." is from their song "Pulling Worms Apart" off of House of the Rising Son of a *****.

The difference between Avril and the Ramones is that the Ramones were just doing whatever could be considered new and out there (I believe one of them had about a week long rap career after they broke up), whereas Avril is simply doing it because she is getting paid. As Semjaza said, she is a country star gone "punk". Avril is probably what Semmy and I would consider a toy box band. ^__^ (it is kind of sad that Semmy will be the only one to get that, lol) She is nothing but a little "ear candy" for all the little kids along the mainstream. I used to literally shudder at the sound or sight of her name or visage, but then I figured she is not even worth that.
