1. 1. Trench Coat (black) That's about all. I could live with nothing, though, but no one will listen to me. They think I'm just an ignorant fool and they have to get me something. I'd rather just get my job applications excepted so that I can do some late shopping and get everyone else gifts. Oh yeah, just because I want a black trench coat, my mom thinks I want to become a goth. I have nothing wrong with that lifestyle, but there's just no way I would fit into that.
  2. That's what I figured, guess I'll have to add more De-Spells because it seems as though it's in all of my oponents' hands at the start of the duel.
  3.
Originally posted by Alexander Definitely Lower. Why? I've made miss-snatches with Snatch Steal before, several times bumping my opponent's LP to 15000 before I could end the effect of Snatch Steal. At the same time, I was at a mere 1200 LP. What happened? I turned the whole thing around and destroyed him via beatdown. If my opponent could gain 7000 LP and still be hammered into the ground...*ahem*
How long does the Snatch Steal effect last anyway? I always play Yu-Gi-Oh 5 but it's an emulator, and therefor Japanese, so I can never read their card effects and there is a lot of guess-work involved (I still win anyway, I beat Mai 17,000 to 0 thanks to Snatch Steal). But I was just wondering how long it lasted. Anyway, I would rather lower life points on the game, seeing as how that's my main strategy is direct damage in the game (I think I've won by killing a monster once after who knows how many matches?). But in real life, I'd take whatever card comes to my hand.
  4. You use it on a monster and that monster can't attack for the rest of the game. If they sacrifice that monster to bring another out, the new one is now in the Spellbinding Circle. The only way they could get rid of Spellbinding Circle is by getting their monster killed and using Monster Reborn or something with that effect. Or even Remove Trap . . .
  5. Well, I can say that my life would be a little bit different. I could live without it but it is still a very nice thing to be able to fall back on. This place has also led me to some other boards where I have made even closer friends (since they were smaller boards) but this is a great place.
  6.
Originally posted by Shyguy For six years my best friend was African-American, so race was never an issue for me. -Shy
That is the same case for me. Nearly all of my life my best friends have been Hispanic, Muslim, or African-American (right now my best friend is a mix of the last two).
find it easier to become attached to someone with a similar background and morals just because there is so much about other cultures that I don't know. It would be incredibly to take part in holidays or traditions that had no relevance to me. -Shy
However, this I only partially agree with. Most of my friends are Muslim and it seemed a lot easier for me to become friends with them. At first it was unusual because I thought I would say something idiotic, but they're just like you and I. No difference really. The only thing, is that they believe something that's only slightly different from Christian (from what I have learned) and that they are fasting until the end of this month (which makes it uncomfortable to eat because I feel bad, but they don't care :p) Although, I'm making them sound different, they're really alike to you and I.
  7. That would be a nearly ideal deck in my mind. My friends think that themes are near useless and to focus on few victory strategies is dumb. I'm saying, as in my traps, I have Reinforcements x3 and Castle Walls x3. They thought it was too much but what if the problem comes up where they have BEWD with Sword of Deep-Seated on it and all I have is a Labyrinth Wall. What would I use to defend him? If not Chorus of Sanctuary or something, I would use my Castle Walls. They believe it's all a bunch of crap, but that's why they lose :)

    Exodia

That sucks to be him :p The only thing I don't like about the game is that it's all in Japanese, so you have to figure out everything and it's really confusing.

    Exodia

I have 1 piece on my Yu-Gi-Oh 5 (Gameboy Advance) ROM and Emulator but I have none in real life. Apparently, it's not that hard to get the pieces in the Yu-Gi-Oh 5. All you do is battle Yugi and right before you get your cards from winning, save your progress so you can get new random cards each time. My friend has Exodia and 3 Sangans, all you need is two Black Forest Witches and there you have it.
  10.
Originally posted by HyperShadow I'd classify it as a F/S Beatdown. You have most of the right monster cards. I'd dump the Witch's Apprentice. They won't last very long. Just add another Mystic Plasma Sone if you want. Replace Castle of Dark Illusions for Wall of Illusion or Mystical Elf. Those should be your main defense, but becareful with Mystic Plasma Zone on those walls. Get rid of Labyrinth Wall, just Side Deck it Looking for a Summoned Skull Replacement? Try the new Beast of Talwar, its better than red-Eyes in both attack and defense, but for one tribute less. Its a fiend type, so it will fit your theme. Cyber Jar is great for Beatdowns. It can really turn the tables. Add one or two more Neos. For magics try to add a few more power ups. They have the best ones in MRL. Try Malevolent Nuzzler. Its +700 and its a common card. Be sure to replace Sword of DS, it can be a pain being put back to the top of your deck. You might not need Soul exchange. Because then you have to skip your Battle Phase and then you might loose it next turn without ever using it. Take out Ookazi and De-Spell for Swords of Revealing Light and Pot of Greed. Traps, you know what I'm going to say. Try to get those Counter Traps, but I know your probably looking. Great start for a deck.
Thanks. I've been searching for Swords of Revealing Light and Pot of Greed but no one I know has it :p But thanks again, you've always helped a lot in my deck building.
  11. Auron lay lifeless on the ground. Mother Earth had struck him down and given the warriors the powers to defeat Malius. A noble sacrifice from a confused man. They were still staring in wonder about the stones around their necks. Malius stood frozen in shock. ------------------ OOC: Sorry for shortness but I'm just bumping it up some and waiting for Mist to get back!! Where has she gone? :p
  12. The same thing is happening to me. I have the pop-up box and when I get messages it doesn't come. It's probably just the new skin though.
  13. How much do Axe of Despair and Megamorph add? And are you allowed to have 4? Sorry, I am very ignorant about cards I'm not familiar with.
  14. I'm interested in seeing how HyperShadow would classify my deck as it is right now :) Tribute monsters: Dark Magician Summoned Skull Curse of Dragon (looking for good replacement, can't find many Summoned Skulls) Labyrinth Wall Low Level Monsters: La Jinn x3 Wall of Illusion Neo the Magic Swordsman Castle of Dark Illusions Witch's Apprentice (+500 dark atk/-500 light atk) Spear Cretin (Monster Reborn effect) Mystical Elf Traps: Waboku Reverse Trap x2 Reinforcements x2 Castle Walls x3 Trap Hole x3 Magic: Fissure x2 Sword of Dark Destruction x3 Tribute to The Doomed De-Spell Share the Pain Gravekeeper's Servant (love this) Change of Heart Mystic Plasma Zone Monster Reborn Dian Keto the Cure Master Ookazi Sword of Deep-Seated Soul Exchange Dark Hole Monsters: 4 Low Monsters: 9 Traps: 11 Magics: 16 Total: 40 Side Deck (just extras that I took out this morning, really): Griggle (3000 life points when it is face up and switches to their turn) Reinforcements Just Desserts Whiptail Crow Ryu-Kishin Powered x3 Koumori Dragon Paralyzing Potion Reverse Trap Remove Trap De-Spell Wall Shadow Blue-Winged Crown BEWD Magical Labyrinth ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- Any comments? Advice? Critiques? Classification? Anything would be appreciated :)
  15.
Originally posted by Domon My best ones are: My three Blue Eyes White Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Summoned Skull, Black Skull Dragon. Thats as many as i can remember right now. One time i got a Blue Eyes' attack clear up to 4700 and its defense clear up to 3800 mainly with equip cards.
That's good, but not much compared to the way my friends and I get our weakest monsters up in to the 5000s to 6000s (summoned skull in my case, since it is dark and a fiend). I use my 3 reinforcements, 3 swords of dark destruction, Mystic plasma zone, sword of deep seated and some others I'm forgetting. But that's really bad if they have a reverse trap . . . that's why I don't focus mainly on powerups. Anyway, my favorite and most used card is Summoned Skull thanks to its ability to easily be put on the field (still waiting to get Black Forest Witch) and its great attack. Another is my La Jinn since it has a great attack and ruins most of my friends' 4 stars. We all rely on powerups a lot though, so you never know how the battle will turn out, seeing as how we all have a large amount of magic cards. Another monster is the Wall Shadow, Labyrinth Wall now, though, since Magical Labyrinth and Wall Shadow were just taking up space in my deck. Its great defense is easily boosted up thanks to my other powerups. Now I realize that I really do rely on powerups a lot, as do my friends. I guess that's just the way we play. I'll post my current deck up some time.
  16. I agree with Sage and Semjaza Azazel. On one hand, it doesn't seem like such a bad idea, it's a pretty big franchise. On the other, it might just go down the drain like the Cowboy Bebop forum did. And, as Sage said, there are many other forums where you can talk about these things, such as PC/Mac, Otaku Lounge, Music, Movies & TV, and maybe even more that I am forgetting.
  17. But in 5-20 years, we will have other card games. This is really captivating and I love the idea. I never really thought of something like this, but with the way technology has been progressing over the past few years, I would be surprised to see it some time in the near yet not-so-near future. Wtf!

It's pretty obvious that unless some hacker singled you out (which is highly doubtful) and changed your avatar, you put it up and posted this to raise your post count. But unless I'm forgetting something, I'm pretty sure the Suggestions forum doesn't count toward your post count.
Originally posted by Syk3 I saw it yesterday; it was...okay. I mean, I felt that it was better than the first, but they need a lot better actors, and there were some parts that they could have made more similar to the book, regardless of time, but they changed it and made it worse. The bad thing about the acting was that the people were either saying their line too fast, or just not in character. A perfect example of this was Ron's dad, who was a horrible actor. On the contrary, Malfoy and his father are both great actors (did you notice his dad from The Patriot?). I suppose that it's easier to play an evil character than a good one. The action scenes, however, were better than the first one. For example, on the first one, the person playing Harry was quoted saying he enjoyed the part when he was under the invisibility cloak; not much action. In the second movie, he was quoted saying that he liked the part where he almost fell out of a flying car. Which one has more action? You decide. I'll probably watch it again, to understand it better and whatnot. That's usually when I make my final decision on a movie. This one was better than the first, in my opinion, but I still didn't like it that much.
That's usually what I say when I'm talkin about the first one. That it had bad actors and could have been filmed much better than the way it was. I agree that this one is better than the first one, but they both still seem to bring down the series.
Originally posted by Syk3 quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by amibasuki I have no intention of seeing the second movie. the first one screwed up my image of the book bad enough as it is, I'm sure this one wouldn't help much either. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- True, the book was better, but I'd see all the movies anyway for...uhh, closure I suppose. I just wouldn't feel right if I never saw one of the movie versions when I had the chance, you know? And I wholeheartedly agree with Sara; it is pretty cool to see how other people imagined the book, heh.
I agree with this point as well. I will most likely always dislike the movies but still go and see them anyway for closure, as you put it.
  20.
Originally posted by Delian The few movies that have had a effect on me would have to be the following: Mississippi Burning Philadelphia Life is Beautiful Evita The Hurricane I'm sure other movies have had an effect on me, but not like the above. I also have to agree with Matt. Band of Brothers did have an effect on me. The first episode especially, was quite emotionally shocking. Lets just say I've been through half a box of tissues for almost every episode.
I liked The Hurricane a lot, but it just didn't have that effect on me. Not the movie, but the story itself was just captivating. We went over it in class and it was one of the best stories I've heard. The only movie that really got to me this way was A Beautiful Mind. That movie was great and tricked you until near the end. It's great how they captured his life story.
  21. I remember when we moved to 6.0 I gained 2000 posts but a few days later it dropped signifigantly. Post count doesn't really matter though, and it was probably just a few threads that you posted a lot in were deleted.
  22.
Originally posted by Elite I first joined midway through v2, and I was a complete and utter fool back then, but what kept me coming back was the community. Unlike the other message boards I've seen, OB has always had a strong community, even when there were wars (big poppa hump or something, hilarious war) we all just rode through it. I like the fact that I've always been able to talk to OB members and get on quite well, most of the time :p
Those are close to my exact words whenever anyone asks me about my history on OB. Although, I don't really remember much from V2 except for Oz, IM_GENGAR, Trunks, SSJ5 Vegeta, Mystrios Warrior X or something and a few others. I actually used to chat with people like Thimoc when they were actually sane. And I believe Will2x still visits sometimes, he's cool, and Firemac, I haven't talked to him in a while. But back on track, I've been here a good while off and on, missing a whole lot, but it's been great :)
  23. I have two screen names. One is xxbatmastaxx and the other one is a private one, but if you need it, I will PM you :)
  24.
Originally posted by James I think he is suitable for The Matrix...but he's certainly not the best actor they could have chosen. Though I don't think that necessarily reflects on our industry, because afterall, he himself is American. But yeah, the movie as a whole was brilliant. I think it's really had a very lasting effect on cinema as a whole (just look at all the Matrix-copycats out there lol).
Lol. I know exactly what you mean. Even Deuce Bigalow ripped off scenes from the Matrix. So did Scary Movie I believe and probably Saturday Night Live (Heck, even Shreak did it). Anyway, I believe someone earlier said that the new scenes were supposed to be so utterly amazing that they won't be able to be copied. That makes me much more anxious to see it.
  25. I, myself, think that I am too young to be in a very serious relationship and I am 14, but that is completely your decision. I mean, I could be in a serious relationship like that, but I just don't know if I would be ready for it.
