1. I listen to music constantly as well. Though there are far too many bands/artists that I like to list, I will post my top 10. 2. I believe in doing things for myself rather than just sitting around hoping something good will happen. I believe that morals are pretty much the most important thing. As strange as this may sound, I also strongly oppose the idea of a god who punishes evil and rewards good, because I think that more things in life that people do are reaction, rather than action, be it subconscious, emotional, or whatever. I hate society, being the way it's set up, and am an enemy to governments, and other oppressors. I believe treatment of problems, and understanding of social issues and reason should come as a higher priority than punishment and immediate law enforcement. I believe in a high human potential, much higher than what most people believe to be possible, and I believe that there is never a reason to be arrogant or greedy. One last thing, I believe that there is no winner in a war, but both sides are losers, having killed each other for reasons that are below disgusting. I am not a fan of patriotism, nationalism, or any type of group pride. I forgot to mention the most important belief of mine, and that's faith. Have faith in yourself, your religious faith or whatever is not half as important. You could sit in wait for something great to happen, and have faith that it will, but chances are that faith is misplaced, and things don't change themselves.

 6. I kind of got use to any of the poor humor as far as things like nose bleeds and falling over when an attractive female character presents themselves. That isn't what bothers me the most, actually I'm fine with that. The main thing that bothers me, and it's in just about every one of my favorite Anime, is the fact that characters like Sesshoumaru, or Legato, look way cooler, act way cooler, and are much more badass than the main character, and they always lose when they battle the main character and sometimes die. It's okay though, someday I'll just have to create my own Manga, and I'll make the main character like Sesshoumaru.
 7.
Right now I'm listening to See, Saw by Fair to Midland. It's one of their longest songs clocking in at 7:29 and it's one of their most craziet tracks. The beginning is filled with heavy vocals and great guitar. It switches from heavy and loud to soft and quiet quite a few times. After the second chorus it goes into this weird breakdown where it sounds like Darroh Sudderth (The vocalist) is singing like some weird sheep. The rest of the song is quiet then energetic once more as it ends with heavy screamy vocals that close the song. The funny thing about the song is the first line "Wait a second!" At first it sounds like a mix of two offensive slurs which is funny if you've seen the YouTube video... Ah inside Jokes... :animesigh Also, because I haven't been on in a while, I've listened to some of the new Devil Wears Prada, and I must say, it's better than anything from Plagues. Don't think so? Listen to Big Wiggly Style, Dez Moines and Sassafras. BTW, I'm still very much into Fear Before! :p
Sorry to question like this, but is the Fair To Midland song See, Saw off their first album Carbon Copy Silver Lining? I have I.F.S and Fables, and I also have some B-Sides and demos, but I don't have CCSL. The only song I've heard off that album was Gaining One.
 8.
Your just trying to find ideas for your band arent you? For my band: a set of turntables and/or a beat machine, a drumset with a ported and solid bass drum, lead and bass guitar, keyboard and dijerido. Music: a multi-genre attack, mainly a rapp/rock combo like Areosmith and Run-DMC did, like lame Wayne and whatever band ha had got to play did. Given a Gorillaz type sound with a bit of House or techno, hint of Lady Sovereign, and MF DOOM.
No, my friends tastes and my tastes are too different to make a descent sound in my opinion. If I was going to create a band, seeing what people like would help, and I would probably have done this. I would like to create music, I just don't have the money for the equipment as of now. I would probably just do solo if I ever did do music, and play something like what I wrote above. I'm not great at all those instruments, but I am a quick learner, and like to experiment with art. What's a Dijerido? (-Boukaju-)
 9. My parents do not disapprove of me watching Anime. They don't disapprove of anything I do. I can tell that my mother wants me to be more real, and worry about things she thinks should matter to me. If I ever talk about anything that interests me, she responds by telling me that. One of those things is Anime. In a way it seems like she wants me to not have a dream, at least one of my own. She is over protective, and that is the problem. She wants me to be more involved with easy things, and never have to hurt. I dream big, and I intend to live those dreams. I wouldn't know how to live without her. My father would love how I am if he were still himself. He's crazy to the point of no return. When I was young, he watched Anime and Martial Arts movies with me, because he loved them too. We are alike, but lets just say I took his last words of advice for me. HIS last words. He would be proud. My step father isn't very involved in that aspect of my life. He's very respectful, and wouldn't down on me watching Anime or doing anything I want. I don't want to do anything that would get me or anyone in trouble or hurt. I wouldn't do anything like that even if there wasn't a law against it. My mother does love my Anime drawings though, and shows them off to all her co-workers! (-Boukaju-)
 10. Impressive, to say the least. It's obvious why this won. Your use of adjectives is surprising as is the word choice. It flows very well, not one part is too short or too long. I really enjoyed the theme of this as well, it's not something you see a lot of.
Have fun.
If you wish to create a dream band by combining your favorite band members, then go ahead. I only ask that you follow the guidelines. My dream band would consist of the following:

Very Down-tuned, distorted, and crunchy guitars. Two guitarists, both of them switching between lead and rythm roles.
Bold and very low-pitched bass, which compliments the crunchy guitars.
A mixed vocal style, two vocalists. One with a range in sounds from high-flying, pretty, and clean vocals, to a very demonic, and low-pitched growl. Similar to that of Christian Alvestam (ex-Scar Symmetry, Miseration, and Solution .45). I would want the other one to do any higher pitched screams, and deeper clean vocals. Similar to Jeff Hatrix (Mushroomhead, Solo, and Hatrix). The reason for two vocalists is one, harmony, I really like the layered vocal styles, and two, to make sure that harmony was real, and could be pulled off in live shows.
A very moderate drum pattern. Not an overload of double-kick bass, but not too simple either. I like the snares to be of medium-high tightness, and the bass drums and toms to be hard-hitting. I would want symbols to sound metallic, and be kind of strained.
Dark keyboard sounds, with a few higher pitched parts would be ideal for a dream band. I would want them to sound kind of thin, and not bold.
Some electronic sounds, to add intensity. Like Linkin Park and Abingdon Boys School do, but darker sounding.
A mixture of heavy, mellow, and moderate songs would be perfect.
Melody wise, I like sophisticated, yet easy to remember melodies. The kind that seems familiar when you've never heard it before. Technicality is always needed to, as I wouldn't want the switch between the highs and lows to be forced. A blend of the growls/screams and singing would have to be there too.
I would call the genre: Ripwing Art Death. (-Boukaju-)
 12. For me, games that are meant to be horror, or scary/creepy, never do their job. That's because I like the feeling they give, it's not quite scared, more like lost and alone. If a game ever did give me a creepy vibe, it would be like someone already said in this thread, Animal Crossing. How can you be that happy? Well, it is meant for kids. I'm always kind of scared around kids though, because I don't want to accidentally hurt them, or say something I shouldn't in front of them. Animal Crossing is just crazy, I could see if it was like a side game, like the Chao thing in Sonic Adventure, buy no, it's a stand alone game, which makes it creepy. I could describe the feeling as falling for someone who is so pretty, or beautiful on the outside, and seems to be that way on the inside. The whole time though, you're on edge, wondering if you're being deceived. That was probably the best way to describe it. (-Boukaju-)
 13. Almost everything I listen to falls into one or more sub-genres of Rock or Metal. There is a little bit of range though. If I'm don't like a genre, it's because I have yet to be impressed by a band, or artist in that genre. I'm patiently awaiting a Rap group called Achozen. The band consists of two members, RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, and Shavo from System of a Down. Both bands are unique in the general genre the are in. I don't normally like Rap, but this seems more creative than usual. I used to like a lot more genres, but they have all changed a little too much. For example, I enjoyed the older country when I was little, but the stuff today is too fast-paced for how mellow it is. What I meant by a bit of a range was, I like The Pillows, a mellow JRock band, and I like Scar Symmetry, a really heavy Melodic Death Metal band. I like a lot of stuff in between, but not everthing. An example would be emo/screamo, just can't make myself like it. Oh, I also like a couple other genres, like Anime and Video Game Music, JPop, and Ambient (as in not hardcore, are overly fast-paced) Techno. I alos like noise, it is music to my ears. I meant just random noise, not a musical genre. I respect all the time that is put into any music, and there is no bad music, because it's all opinion. 14. If I had to introduce someone to Anime, considering the level of closed-mindedness around here, and my personal experience with showing people what I think is cool, I would have to choose either Trigun, or Cowboy Bebop. The reason is simple, people around here are more into guns, and futuristic stuff, and don't really get into swords, and energy, chakra, or any kind of powers like that. It's hard to change peoples tastes though, unless they are willing to change, or have an open mind.
 15. I think what got me into art, was how different it was for kids where I lived to care about that kind of stuff. It started in 7th grade, when a classmate, who I had no idea was into it, drew a very good picture of the group from Kingdom Hearts. I liked it so much, that I wanted to try to match it. I wasn't even close, but I managed to impress my parents with a picture of Yu-Gi-Oh! (Yami, the spirit in the puzzle, or whatever). I remember the picture was on a folder I had got for keeping my homework, that I never did, organized. I was very happy my senior year, when that same kid that drew the Kingdom Hearts picture made a very nice compliment on a picture I drew in class, of Kenshin. I then told him I remembered his Kingdom Hearts picture from 7th Grade, he seemed impressed that I still remembered. I always used to draw Anime eye's on my assignments, and sometimes I would write, "I'm watching you." Give me an A or else...ha.
 16. If you mean just the number of hours, then I would have to say, in no order, as follows:

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Final Fantasy IX
Super Mario Bros.
Final Fantasy V
Pokemon Emerald
Mega Man Legends
Mega Man X5
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Forbidden Memories
This would be games that I've replayed a lot, just because they were fun. As for spending time doing different things in games, the most I've ever spent was probably closer to 60-70 hours. I don't really like a lot of MMORPGs, and I really don't like just non-RPG MMOs. Those would be the only games with enough content to last that long, without everything being completed.
 17.
It's pathetic and so very sad and it's been a cause of great strife throught all of time. It unbelievable in this age for me that is that we still have racists, but at the same time I wouldn't be living in reality if I ignored it. On top of that I feel obligated to aknowledge it because of the color of my skin. Honestly, I don't think prejudices against other ethnicities will ever go away...
Sadly enough, I think this is true as well, it will never go away. Same is true with any type of prejudice, be it sexual preference, or for some people, just social classes in general. Honestly, how could you hate someone because of race, something they can't help. You often can't help social class either. You can help sexual preference (I think, I don't know though, maybe you can't), but it wouldn't matter either way. The point is that this kind of hating is acquired, and is not a natural emotion. It's not the same kind of hate that makes you spit out a gross food, or something of the sort, if that makes sense.
 18. The only Manga I have in my collection now is a lot of Shonen Jumps. I buy them because I actually feel anticipation when I have to wait like that to read the nex part of all the Manga that are in there. I don't like waiting too long though, I think a month is about perfect. It's like when Toonami used to play on Saturdays, and play shows like Rave Master, Zatch Bell, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball GT, and I even liked Duel Masters despite the fact that I was the only I knew that did. Also, with the new Manga ULTIMO, Shonen Jump is creating a hell of a collection, now only if they would get rid of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and get something else. The first Yu-Gi-Oh! manga was great, and didn't really involve cards that much. The title King Of Games actually suited Yugi because he played a lot more than one game. ULTIMO is a collaboration Manga between Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King), and Stan Lee (Marvel Comics legend pretty much). It looks very promising to me, and Takei did the art, which I was very glad about. It's in the latest Shonen Jump and has some small samples in a couple previous ones. I will be getting a lot more Manga, actual Graphic Novels, and Anime on top of that, once I get a job and get them.
 19. edit* the video will not post for some reason. Scar Symmetry - Quantumleaper Melodic Death Metel with angry growls and sorrow filled, yet enlightening singing vocals. A very nice blend, nice production as well. All the voices are one guy. Christian Alvestam, a very talented vocalist. Other things about the band: Their lyrics make you think, especially on their latest album, Holographic Universe, which has a theme of quantum physics and mixes their own thoughts as a person, morals I guess you could say. If you like the singing without the growling, then you should check out their song Ghost Prototype I: Measurement of Though. It only has one short growl part, but the rest is all high-flying, almost fun sounding, singing. The band just got rid of this singer last year, because of differences wanting to tour, and creative differences. He has another band now though that he is working on, as well as several that already has album material with. The one he is working on is called Solution .45, and you can find it at myspace.com/solution45 where their is a seven or so minute sampler of their promo.
 20. Hate groups? is it really 2009?. Blaming their ways on other things? How pathetic. I'm not surprised by this but it is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of happening. Being like that is not going to help anything, and you're wasting your life by doing so.
 21. D. Gray Man - Innocent Sorrow FLCL - Advice (Instrumental), and almost all that are in the Anime.. Not all of the soundtrack is good to me. Inuyasha - Fukai Mori, My Will, and Dearest Cowboy Bebop - The Real Folk Blues Naruto - Haruka Kanata Fullmetal Alchemist - Ready! Steady! Go!, and the first ending in america on Adult Swim. .Hack//Sign - Intro, and Fake Wings, and most others. Rurouni Kenshin - Heart of Sword, in episode instrumentals Yu Yu Hakusho - First Opening in America Death Note - All the ones by Maximum the Hormone and Fre@k $how by Abingdon Boys School Dirty Pair Flash - Opening theme. Gundam SEED - Opening G Gundam - Shining Finger A whole bunch more but I don't feel like posting all of them.
 22.
It was the same holy bible that motivated a lot of Christians to become abolitionists to work against the slave system. So before you decide to uphold the bible as a symbol for all that's wrong with the world, remember that religion in the hands of man and subject to man's interpretation can be twisted any number of ways depending on who is speaking. Which is why you have Christians who are for gay rights and Christians who aren't. And why you have Muslims who blow up buildings and kill protesters and Muslims who don't.
Oh boy. I think I've been misunderstood. It's probably my fault for not saying this: I'm not actually blaming religion itself, I'm saying that it's dangerous to let it have so much power for that thing you stated in your post, it's all bout interpretation. Some people become radical about it, some people become radical about hating it. But there are still good people who are civil about thier differences and beliefs. You said it could be twisted by anybody who interprets it. That could also mean that the content of the book was twisted to fit something someone who wrote in it wanted to be true. Again, I'm not saying that for sure, I'm just saying by letting such a controversial thing be a (the) major driving force in society, we open the door for people that want abuse that power and use it for their advantage. If nobody falls for it society is okay, but what about the people that are afraid to be natural in human nature because they were born into an extremely religious family, the kind that wont even let their kids listen to rock music or go to school dances? Those families do exist but I wasn't saying all religious families are like that. Alright, sorry about that, I just had to clear that up. Oh by the way, I was not angry there if that's how I was coming off. I'm not always good with words. Back on subject though, I think we (or should I say they, the authorities) should just give them equal rights. It is that easy. What are they solving by not, their only creating a problem in a place where they are supposed to help people. It's this kind of foolishness that causes bad things to happen.
Ugh...why is this even an ISSUE?! Why do gays not already have the rights straight people do?! The way I see it, this shouldn't even have to BE a problem. That anyone even has to DO anything about this sickens me... (sorry for the rant, I just finished watching a documentary on the abuse and prejudice gays in the U.S. face)
I agree completely. As a country, we still haven't overcome prejudice of any kind, it's very sickening. I heard this a lot... "the black president Barack Obama.." I've never heard this... "the white president, George Bush..." it's always just been "the president George Bush..." Same thing happens if there is a homosexual, you the "the gay this guy/this girl" If we keep that up we are really a sad bunch.
 23. The last game I played was Chrono Cross, for Playstation. I didn't play all the way through, but the game is beautiful, graphically, and musically. With the other system at I own, the PSP, I played the remake of Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lion. It's one of the first remakes that actually improved something without destroying something else. I have an Xbox 360, but I rarley play it, only when I see something ineresting enough. Seems like RPGs (my favorite type of game), although becoming more visually stunning, are lacking what games like FFVII - FFX, All Breath of Fire II - IV, and others, had that made you want to play more. I know things change, but I think they should at least just make one traditional RPG, nothing overly complex, with the modern graphics, but old(er) character design. I swayed from the topic once again, sorry.
 24. Cool, another person who is into heavy music. I tend to be into a little bit of a different heavy from yours usually, but I still think your list is solid, from the ones I know. The bands I usually like don't have the word "core" in their genre. I like Melodic Death Metal, Industrial Metal, Alternative Metal, Folk Metal, Metal, Nu-Metal, Progressive Metal, Experimental Metal, and Mixed Metal genres. My Favorites of the genres I listed: Scar Symmetry (Melodic Death Metal) Mushroomhead (Experimental Metal) System of a Down (Mixed Metal Genres) Taproot (Nu-Metal) Fair To Midland (Progressive and Folk Metal) Black Flood Diesel (Metal) VentanA (Industrial Metal) Hour Cast (Alternative Metal) My favorite one on your list is probably The Devil Wears Prada. Mainly because it's heavy but uses clean vocals as well. Underoath does that too but I don't like his singing voice, and it seams like screamo, not metal.
 25.
If you're talking about Silpheed's post, you really shouldn't take that seriously. Give or take, a lot of people here just joke about almost every random thing.
Oh okay, I had no idea. Now that I think about it, that attitude is not common among people who would join an Anime forum and community. In a way this lets everyone know that this is kind of a touchy subject for me. If it wasn't, I would have known that he was joking.
Look, I'm all up for discussion and I don't think that the issue is going out of hand, so...I don't think that people will think that I'm arguing over mundane things. If it does get out of hand, then I can just close the thread. Simple enough. :p I'm fully aware that contradiction and hypocrisy are not the same. Contradictions lead to hypocrisy. It's nice that you believe that being strong is how to accomplish things, but even those who "cry" during emotional times can accomplish something. Now there's a difference between crying and throwing a fit. The latter accomplishes othing (most times). However, the person who said "crying is for sissies" was using the oldest of internet forms of language. Sarcasm. They don't really mean it that way and even if they do, it's OK to have a different opinion of men crying or not. Feel free to disagree, but also be open to criticism from the other side of the argument. Don't assume that I didn't understand you, because I certainly did. But we're kind of de-railing the topic, so let's try to steer back now. *turns the ship around*
Funny story= this whole time I had no idea you were a mod. I wasn't paying attention. You're right though, I was being kind of unaccepting of other opinions. Sometimes not all opinions can be accepted (this wasn't one of them it was just touchy for me.) An example would be those foolish people who refuse equal chance (be it racism, sexual preference issues, whatever) because their opinion is that they (or there group) is better.
