1. Jedgar walked through Rivendell, using his pike as a walking staff. Such irony that this quest contained. They would start their journey from a paradise, and end it in the most wretched hive of scum and villainy that ever existed? By the looks of his soon to be companions, they would be well equipped for any battle that they happened to find themselves in. He had heard of Gimli?s expertise with a battle-axe and Legolas?s skill with a bow was almost legendary. Aragorn seemed to carry himself like a warrior as well and he?d be a welcome addition to their group. Hopefully the Hobbits, who looked like they?d never said an unkind word in their lives, would have enough common sense to stay out of their way. It?d be nice to have some Shire cooking after a hard day?s journey. Having completed his leisurely walk through Rivendell?s center, Jedgar retired to his room for the night. He was ready to put his staff and cloak aside to prepare for sleep, when he noticed that there was someone in his room. Someone he hadn?t seen in a very long time? A young elf sat facing the doorway, his eyes fixed on Jedgar. She was dressed in the clothes of a smith, and was holding a bundle of cloth. Jedgar: ?Carea, what a pleasant surprise.? Carea: ?The same to you.? Jedgar: ?You haven?t changed a bit.? She laughed, and stood. After placing her bundle on the chair, she walked slowly around him. Carea: ?You look much older, how I hate to see you age. Men are so short lived, it is a tragedy.? Jedgar: ?It?s something that we all must face. Eventually, everyone dies.? Carea: ?Except us?? Jedgar: ?Your kind will be dead to men soon enough.? Carea: ?You?ve heard then.? Jedgar: ?Only rumors. Some have been saying that it is time for the elves to take their final journey across the sea.? Carea: ?It is being considered, yes.? Jedgar: ?In a few generations, your kind will be nothing but legend. Give another hundred years, and you?ll have vanished into the mists of time.? Carea: ?Oblivion. A state second only to death.? Jedgar: ?Enough troubling thoughts, why have you come?? Carea: ?I brought you something for your journey.? She retrieved the bundle from the chair and handed it to Jedgar with trembling hands. He opened it carefully, withdrawing a shirt. It looked like it was woven out of silver glitter, with a gold rings around the neck and sleeves. Cold to the touch, it felt soft but firm. Jedgar: ?Mithril. I am forever grateful.? She grinned. Carea: ?You should be, it took a long time to acquire.? Jedgar: ?How can I ever repay you?? Carea?s face turned suddenly serious, and her eyes stared into his. Carea: ?Come home in one piece this time. The thought of losing you before I have to?? Jedgar: ?I?ll try.? She kissed him on the cheek, and then left the room without another word.
 2. DW, I demand a refund. Shinmaru got killed, which is not an occupation. Therefore, this is false advertising. I want my money back. Or a small part in your next movie... *recovers from that shameless plea for attention* Really was a funny movie, you need to make an Otaku Movie Night once a week or something...
 3. Jedgar stood in the shadows of a large tree, barely ten meters from the Hobbits. Hobbits, while not great warriors, amused him greatly. Their small stature hid a wealth of humor and cooking knowledge rivaled nowhere else on Middle Earth. What he wouldn't give to retire in the Shire someday? He stepped out of the shadows, making both of the Hobbits jump. Jedgar: "Catch." He tossed a small bag of tobacco to the one who'd been smoking the empty pipe. Pippin: "Thanks, Mr?" Jedgar: "Jedgar Nieta, but just call me Jedgar." Merry: "Where'd you get this stuff, it's great!" Pippin looks down and realizes that Merry has snatched the pouch. Pippin: "Hey, that's min-" Merry: "I must be going now, thank you sir!" Merry runs off with Pippin in hot pursuit, waving his pipe in anger. Jedgar, now chuckling, walks off towards the circular meeting area where he will soon have to make what would possibly be the most important decision of his life. What to do with the ordinary looking ring he'd heard so much about?

And where the hell did you get the idea that stalin was marx's prtege? Stalin was Lenien's protege, i don't even think that Stalin knew Marx onsidering Marx was born in 1818. And the guy that the Someday's dreamers lady mentioned is a composer who did the Nutcracker music. I think the last Csar of Russia was Alexander or was he the first? i can't remember i'm in US history now and it blows, stupid Civil War, being the dumbest war in the history of man, however Iraqi Freedom was a dumbass war aswell.
Talk about educating the masses? Looks like you could use a few lessons in proper spelling, punctuation and grammar Zhang He. That post is not only hard to read, but also to understand. It might help if the people you are trying to educate could understand you. Hitler was a Nazi, not a fascist. Nazi?s utilize many fascist ideas, but are also concerned with racial and ethnic superiority. This separates them from fascists like Benito Mussolini. That ?Someday Dreamers lady? is wiccansamurai. She?s halfway right, she was thinking of Trotsky but spelled Trotskey. Trotsky was, like Lenin, an important communist figure. Your comment of the ?Csar? of Russia is completely irrelevant. Thanks for playing. The last Czar of Russia was Nicholas II, the first I could find was Mikhail Feodorovich (Czar from 1613-1645). You say, Mr. Zhang He, that you are taking US History now. I don?t know where you live, but I can tell you that in Conn. I find my US History class engaging and very interesting. Your comments about Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Civil War are not only wrong, but they are off topic. Let?s stick to Karl Marx and communism? ---------------------------------------------------------------
Originally posted by CB Shin Boba Fett, while your arguement is very intelligent (and hostile), there is a giant error in that Stalin was Lenin's protege since Marx was dead before he came to power.
I stand corrected; Stalin was indeed Lenin?s protégé. However, Lenin was heavily influenced by the ideas of Karl Marx. Hence his support for communism.
Originally posted by CB Shin Concerning ambition, I believe it is a weakness.
However, I strongly disagree with your thesis that ambition is weakness. Ambition- An eager or strong desire to achieve something, such as fame or power. Weakness- 1. Lacking physical strength, energy, or vigor; feeble. 2. Likely to fail under pressure, stress, or strain 3. Lacking the proper strength or amount of ingredients 4. Lacking the ability to function normally or fully 5. Lacking aptitude or skill 6. Lacking or resulting from a lack of intelligence. 7. Lacking persuasiveness; unconvincing 8. Lacking authority or the power to govern 9. Lacking potency or intensity I don?t know why you consider someone with strong ambition, someone with a desire to do well and achieve something, weak. Weakness is a state that should be discouraged and avoided. How could you say that ambition is weakness? These are two completely different things.
Originally posted by CB Shin Ambition was the thing that lead present communist leaders to take advantage of the system. Had there been righteous leaders of communism, the world would see it very differently then that of today.
CB Shin, you mentioned that it was ambition that has caused the perversion of communism. I have news for you; every leader that ever was has possessed ambition. Nobody rises to the top without it. To be a leader, you have to stop being a follower and take a stand. You have to take a risk, in your attempt to gain power. This takes ambition. I find it very difficult to believe that you could find a leader without ambition. It?s simply against human nature.
Originally posted by CB Shin NO communist country has ever had a decent leader.
You were correct in saying that no communist country has ever had a decent leader. I wonder why? Could it possibly be that absolute power corrupts absolutely? In a true communist system, should there even be leaders? Something tells me the very idea of a communist system is flawed?
Originally posted by CB Shin The idea is just ahead of our time and you obviously give people too little credit.
The idea of communism isn?t ahead of it?s time, it?s a crazy utopian dream. A society where all are equal, where everyone is treated exactly the same and everyone gets what they need. The guy who works hard in this system is treated exactly the same as the lazy worker. There is no incentive for innovation or improvement. Who would want to live in such a society? It?s incompatible with human nature.
Originally posted by CB Shin I see no problem of my saying, "educating the masses" because based on my experience, people simply don't know him and they just don't care. If I don't know something, it's simply because no one told me or I never took the time to learn, so you completely twisted my words.
Your claim that the majority of people have either never heard of Karl Marx or simply aren?t interested in him. Well, anyone who has taken a course in modern US history will have heard of Karl Marx. His ideas were the basis of communism, which we all know has been a force of evil in this past century. If people aren?t interested in Karl Marx, you shouldn?t try to educate them against their will. If they are interested, it?s more than likely that they wont wait around for someone like you to give them information. This last sentence made me laugh. Here you are educating the masses, without much of the knowledge needed to teach about the subject you are advocating. Communism and Karl Marx?s ideas are both miserable failures. I don?t care how noble, idealistic or utopian they are. If they don?t work, they?re useless.
Originally posted by CB Shin By the way, dreams are always the start of something real.
I disagree. Dreams can lead to reality, but aren?t always possible to achieve. I can daydream all I want about becoming a moderator, but it?s unlikely to happen. Communism is a dream that?s been tried in North Korea, China and the former USSR. All three of these grand experiments failed. You can?t explain this all away by blaming it on corrupt leaders. There?s something fundamentally flawed about the system that allows the rise of evil dictators. The dream of communism has been tried, and it has failed.

 6. Well, I guess you wouldn't have liked going to see all five existing Star Wars movies back to back. The movie theatre did that as a special deal when Episode II was released. They'd had problems with the lines for Episode I, which apparently hurt business and got the theatre into trouble with the city. Instead, they showed the other four movies, having the last one end right before midnight so that they could show Episode II on it's opening day at the earliest time. I went, and it was great. Back to Lord of the Rings... I went and saw The Return of the King and I have a question. Please forgive me if there's an obvious answer for this one, I'm not a devout fan. I was wondering, Where are the Dwarves?. They sent Gimili to assist with the fellowship, but sent no troops to assist in the final battle. Why didn't they show? The Dwarves showed up for the clash at the end of The Hobbit, why didn't they arrive in Return of the King? Just a thought...
 7. Name: Jedgar Nieta the seventy-third, heir to the sacred chalice of Porcelain and guardian of the rings of teething. Age: 20-ish Weapon: The Widowmaker Appearance: Biography: Jedgar is the firstborn son of a nobleman, who died shortly before he was born, and as a result inherited all of his father?s possessions as soon as he turned eighteen. Unfortunately for him, he became a drunk almost as soon as he finished his schooling. As a result of his continual drinking, he has no money left due to a combination of expensive wine and ?friends? who took advantage of him while he was drunk. After spending the last year as a wandering drunk, he has settled in the Palace of King Shinny. Jedgar, being drunk all the time, doesn?t know that he?s in a palace. Nor would he care if he knew. All he does care about is the free spirits that are available in the great hall. Actually, that?s not true. Jedgar also harbors a huge crush on the King?s fool. However, you didn?t hear that from me. He hangs out in the great hall during the day, and retires to an unused cupboard under the spiral stairway that leads to the northwest tower of the palace. There he usually falls into a deep sleep filled with dreams about having enough money to buy his own vineyard. -Boba Fett
 8. Alright, I?ve had enough of this ********. I know a fair amount about history, and what Karl Marx?s idealistic dreams became. The Soviet Union was, while not what he intended, the outcome of his crazy dreams. It was a regime that overthrew a monarchy in a bloody coup, courtesy of the ideals of Karl Marx. Marx?s protégé, Stalin, took advantage of Marx?s naïve outlook and turned Communism into what we see it as today. A completely corrupt system that benefits only the elite, Communism became the tool of the ambitious few who ruthlessly held power. Karl Marx?s ideas of a utopian society, while noble, are utterly flawed. You cannot have a perfect society where all are equal. There is an obstacle that stands in the way, an obstacle that cannot be overcome regardless of the effort expended. It?s called human ambition. Under Marx?s system, all are equal. Everyone works for the common good, as a collective. To quote from Spock, ?The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?. Everyone would be equal, and everyone would get what they need, nothing more. Very few people can live like this. It is far easier for humans to enter into a perpetual competition with each other for ?their piece of the pie?. The system that allows this instinct to thrive is called capitalism. Unfortunately, the ideas of Karl Marx are unobtainable. Therefore, they are useless. Marx had his head in the clouds, and never realized that his dream could never come to pass. It was this same oblivious response to the realities of life that allowed his dream to be twisted by those who sought to use its ideals to gain power. This happened in China under Chairman Mao, In North Korea under KIM Il-song (And now his son) and in the USSR under Stalin (and his successors until the collapse of the Soviet Union on December 26, 1991). In the end, Karl Marx gave birth to a monster, which he lost control of. A monster whose terrible effect on the world will be felt for year to come. There, there?s your Karl Marx and his grand dream. CB Shin, I?d appreciate it if you?d stop acting like the world is full of completely stupid people. There aren?t many people, at least on this forum that are as ignorant as you make the whole world to be. Your phrase ?Educating the Masses? is one of the most pathetic things I?ve heard in this forum in a long time. If anyone needs educating, it?s you. And another thing. Heaven?s Cloud ? I assume in the below quote you are referring to Adolf Hitler. If not, feel free to correct me.
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud They were tainted by a dictator That killed millions of Jews
As I recall, Hitler was a rabid anti-communist. 9. Yup, Star Wars is terrible for young minds. I mean, do you want your child to grow up and become evil? Star Wars is a sure way to get your child to become the next Hitler. I mean, look at the example it sets. It's racist, and there aren't enough black people in the movie. That whole good versus evil thing is terrible for children. If you continue with that line of thought, isn't the bible bad for your children? I mean, look at Revelations. It's full of terrible events and catastrophic disasters. The whole bible is about good and evil. Just like Star Wars... There really isn't a good case for the damnation of Star Wars. It's simply not a bad thing, no matter what people have to say. In any case, that's enough of that. Besides, I like the Dark Side. Join us! Bet that made those parents feel better... 11. The four travelers had been walking for three hours, when their peaceful but tense hike was interrupted by a loud roar overhead. In unison, all four of them looked up to see a strange craft trailing a giant golden sail roar towards the ground. It hit the ground about two kilometers to their left, the immense heat that it's hull had acquired during it's violent reentry evaporating the marsh water it had landed in. Jodo: "Not again. What is this place, the latest tourist attraction?" Jedgar: "The pilot could be injured, we should go help..." Rayf: "Wait! Those swamps are dangerous, few who enter ever return. There is said to be a beast that looks like a drago-" Thruhk: "We aren't scared of your legends boy, lead us through the swamp." Rayf looked uncertain, but obediently lead them on a safe path towards the ship. The swamp looked like something you'd find on the bottom levels of Coruscant, or a pristine lake after being filled with cargo of radioactive slag. The foul odor that leeched from its murky depths made Jedar gag. The reeds that filled the wasteland were gray and brown in color, and covered in sharp spines. Thruhk found that out the hard way, after grabbing one in a vain attempt to get himself out of a putrid quicksand pit. Several minutes of cautious running later, with Jedgar carrying an exhausted Rayf on his back, they reached the downed craft. It wasn't of a design that Jedgar recognized, and he hadn't ever seen a solar sailor before. They were very ancient craft, and scientists were still baffled as to how the material that comprised their sails works. In any case, Jodo was able to locate the hatch and pry it open. The three of them looked at each other nervously, then Jedgar sighed and moved towards the hatch. It was pitch black, and there was no sign of emergency lighting. After tripping several times, he managed to reach the cockpit. By the faint glow of the control panel, Jedgar is able to see a human lying unconscious in the pilot's seat. After unbuckling the man from his crash webbing, he manages to pull the man from his seat and through the mangled craft to the hatch. Barely a minute after Thruhk had assisted Jedgar in getting the man out of the hatch, a loud roar sounds through the swamp. Jedgar is treating the man with one of Jodo's med-packs, Rayf is still propped against the side of the damaged solar sailor, Jodo is standing uneasily at the edge of the sandbar that the ship has landed on and Thruhk is scavenging useful equipment from the ship. In front of them, a large pool of sludge begins to bubble. Out of it rises a large creature, the same color as the swamp. It is covered in a scaly hide, and its large snout has many protruding teeth. Jedgar picked up his pike, and Jodo called for Thruhk before leveling his blaster. This was not going to be pretty...
 12. That's a very interesting web site. It appears that no matter what people write these days, there's always going to be someone who claims it's terrible. After what happened with the ultra Christian right wing and their rabid hatred of Harry Potter, it was only a matter of time until someone decided that Star Wars was something to be hidden from children. I really don't care for the Rebellion that much, and would much rather serve the Empire. The Empire, although it discriminates against women and non-humans, is a force of order and law within the galaxy. If you want the full pro-Imperial story, check out that essay I posted a while back. In any case, this is essentially is a battle of Good vs. Evil. Doesn't really matter who you identify evil with; it's still the same basic idea as Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. I just don't see how a story that emphasizes the triumph of Good over Evil can be seen as a bad thing by anyone, regardless of their religious views. I like that banner Dragon Warrior, although it'd be nice if the bottom line of text were uniform in size. Also, it's a bit visually overwhelming. You might want to experiment with having "Star Wars" written in solid yellow. Just a thought...

 14. Although George Lucas and LucasFilm in general have repeatedly refuted any idea of films set after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, there's a great demand for them to be filmed after the prequels wind down. However, as I've previously discussed with both BabyGirl and Sara, I'd love to see those movies. Since the immediate timeline is rather booked, they'd either have to move on about five years from ROTJ, or use an existing storyline. I've advocated making the Thrawn trilogy into Episodes 7-9, as they contain all the classic elements of the prequels and the origional trilogy.
Originally posted by Boba Fett I'd really love to see mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher back together making Star Wars movies... 15. I certainly hope that he doesn't bring anybody back to life. As no other Jedi since has been able to do that, it'd break with previously established precedent. Then again, George Lucas has taken a rather annoyingly bossy attitude towards the prequels. It seems he doesn?t care what book deals he signed off on; he wants to do these movies his way. He seems to care less about the Expanded Universe, even though it's earned him far more than his movies have. The Death Star in Episode II was evidence of that, and I hope that he'll stick closer to the canon this time around. We'll see. In any case, this movie needs to be brilliant. It'll be the movie that the average person remembers Star Wars by, and that impression should be one of awe. After all the more people interested in Star Wars, the better it'll become.
 16. Moral of this story: Don?t leave video of yourself pretending to be a Jedi lying around? Ok, I figured it was about time for this: Episode III Update -Filming of Episode III has ended -The actor?s are still filming the ?behind the scenes? and documentary footage for the DVD. -Work on the computer animation and CGI for the film is now underway at Skywalker Ranch -Almost all of the verifiable information pertaining to Episode III is in the Hyperspace section of www.starwars.com, much to my annoyance. George Lucas really needs to stop abusing us loyal fans like this. He already has enough money? -Rumors about Episode III are all over the place. Everything from Anakin bringing someone back to life to Han or Lando making an appearance. There are major problems there, as the timeline is rather skewed. The books in the Expanded Universe have Han being born in the era of the Empire, which means that Luke and Leia would have to be born after the demise of the Old Republic. Unless the prequels simply skip to the early Empire, there is no way any of the original trilogy humans could make an appearance. I?ll leave you with this picture and quote from the www.starwars.com caption contest. 18. Over here on the East Coast it's only 8:00, four more hours till 2004. ... and the Otaku Awards. I'll be celebrating by watching the ball drop in New York, courtesy of FOX News, and popping a few of those cracker things. -Boba Fett
 19. I heard about that? I also checked it out this morning, just to make sure it was the site I remembered. Yeah, that funky fat kid showing off his lightsaber prowess. First of all, he has the style completely wrong. Although there is no official Star Wars name for the style used with a double bladed lightsaber, it would probably be a cross between the saber style of fencing and polearm combat. The kid in the videos clearly has a fluid form and moves fairly smoothly; but doesn?t have any discernable blocks or attack follow through techniques. Much less disarming or incapacitating moves. Or at least that he?s displayed on tape? In any case, I?ll stick with my fixed up broom handle. My friends at my old school and I used to duel with painted and slightly carved broom handles. We used the limited forms shown and described in my Episode I Visual Dictionary to attempt to re-create lightsaber combat. It took a long time for us to get close to decent, but it was fun. I?m a much better fencer than I am lightsaber duelist? In any case I think that those Star Wars Kid videos, while mildly entertaining, are not true to the canon of Star Wars. Anything outside the canon, I simply can?t accept. As for the fiasco that the site experienced, apparently someone put up some rather unflattering video footage of that kid. Yet another risk of putting yourself out there online. Not good, in any case?
 20. OOC: Er, Shikaku Kitoku? Jedgar, as per my sign up post, is armed only with a Long Vibro Axe. The LVA is a reinforced metal staff with a curved blade at the top and a stun prod capping the bottom. Therefore Jedgar is incapable of shooting Jodo, as you mentioned in your post. Just thought I ought to mention that for future reference. --- --- --- --- Jedgar assumed a combat stance as he watched Jodo scrutinize the brush that had rustled just a moment ago. Jodo: "You have exactly ten standard seconds to exit the brush unarmed with your hands raised above your head. If you do not comply, I will systematically vaporize all vegetation within ten meters." Jedgar smirked, he approved of Mr. Secura's methods. Very similar to his mentor, Koran. The bush slightly to Jodo's left rustled and parted. Jodo leveled his blaster, his finger a millimeter from the trigger. A child emerged from the brush, dressed in dirty and worn clothing. He looked to be about fifteen to seventeen years old, and very scared. Behind him, a crossbow made of scavenged metal parts lay abandoned in the dirt. The boy walked up to Jodo, a look of uncertainty on his face. His hands, raised above his matted dirty blond hair, quavered. Boy: "You speak basic?" Jedgar: "We all do." Jodo glanced at Jedgar, but said nothing. Boy: "You are Jedi then?" Jedgar: "No, why'd you come to that conclusion?" Boy: "Well? all the other outsiders were Jedi. They came from the stars, long ago. The legends tell that at first only a few Jedi came. They were attacked by other outsiders, hateful people who destroyed all they came into contact with. Soon, more of both groups arrived. A terrible battle was fought, and our planet was destroyed. Since then, only one has returned. A being that is a machine, dressed all in black. He arrived three years ago, and killed our most skilled Ysanna warriors. Then he departed, all without saying a word." Thruhk: "Vader?" Jodo: "Why did your people attack us?" Boy: "They are not my people, they are scavengers and marauders. My people live over the mountain, around the tree of life." Thruhk: "What is your name?" Boy: "Rayf, my name is Rayf/" Jedgar: "May we have a word alone?" The Rayf stepped away, and Jodo walked down the hill towards the cave. The three men lowered their voices, and began to talk... Jedgar: "What should we do?" Jodo: "How do we know if he's lying? He could be a spy?" Thruhk: "There's something about this planet, something I can feel. It's not right. Let's just repair the hyperdrive and go." Jodo: "No. I was called here, and by the sound of it you both were as well. Obviously we have been brought together for a purpose." Jedgar: "Something like fate?" Thruhk: "There is no such thing as fate." Jodo: "We have no time for pointless philosophical arguments, let's go with the boy. For now, we'll just have to trust one another." Jodo began to walk up the hill towards the others, and Jedgar hurried back to his ship. He set the twin laser cannons to fire on anyone who came within fifty feet without speaking the password, then grabbed a backpack. Slinging it over his back, he closed the hatch and followed Thruhk up the hill and into the brush. They were going to have at least three hours of walking before they reached the village that Rayf had mentioned. Hopefully they weren't walking into a trap?
 21. Name: Jedgar Nieta Age: 51 Gender: Male Race: Man Character you will be replacing: N/A Weapons and Armor: Jedgar wore chain mail in his youth, but has now grown old. He no longer wears armor, as he is too poor to afford magically light Mithril. He instead relies on his formidable combat skills to avoid taking any hits in the first place. He is adept at using a pike (shown below), and is a master of its intricacies. He is also an average archer, and carries his own bow and quiver. Pike: History: Born in Hithlum, he was abandoned by his mother before he could walk. He was taken in by an elderly couple, and lived with them until he reached maturity. They taught him everything they knew: basic math, reading and writing in both Human and Elvin and all the local history and lore they knew of. After a tearful goodbye, he set off to make his fortune in Nargothrond. Life was harsh in the caves, many of which were inhabited by criminals and vagabonds thinking of nothing but survival. They?d go at any means to survive, including robbery, to gain what they need. Jedgar was able to find work as a scribe in one of the palatial residences of the benevolent Nolodor Lord Theremin. Being too poor to afford a residence near the palace, but too proud to accept servant?s quarters, he was resigned to living in the squalid slums found deep within the cave networks. There he was often robbed of his day's wage, and went hungry because of it. This proved excellent motivation for him to take up a combat skill. He befriended one of the royal guards at the palace, who trained him in the basics of polearm combat. Using a walking staff as his primary weapon, he trained in self defense. At first he was soundly trounced by the experienced robbers of the caves, and received many an injury from the melees that broke out. After several months he had acquired enough practice to protect both himself and his hard earned wages. Years went by, and Jedgar entered his early thirties. He had learned all he could from his good friend in the royal guard, and was now going out of his way to protect all who preyed on the weak and innocent in the thief infested caverns within Nargothrond. Although he?d tried to hide his identity while on his crusade against crime, rumors began to circulate all over the region of his exploits. Eventually, he was called before his lord to verify or deny these rumors. After telling his tale, which impressed his master greatly, he knelt before him to await judgment. Lord Theremin, being a just and grandfatherly figure, was happy with his servant?s work. He made Jedgar his personal assistant and bodyguard, a position of great prestige. More years passed, and Jedgar faithfully served Lord Theremin. A coup attempt provided a chance for Jedgar to prove his loyalty, and he handily defeated three assassins who wished to hasten their employer?s rise to power. Several crises were also settled without harm to the Lord. For the most part however, Jedgar spent his time by the Lord's side, as his trusted aide, scribe and confidant. It was a life that an orphan boy thrown out on the streets could have scarcely dreamed of. All good things must come to an end however, and time succeeded where many had failed. Lord Theremin died of old age, and Jedgar was quietly swept aside by his arrogant son. His loyalty wasn?t unrewarded however; Jedgar was left with a small sum of money, plus a room and free food in one of the taverns the lord owned. Jedgar, now freed from work and entering retirement, now was able to pursue his own ambitions. He took up archery, practicing for hours a day. Seeking out accomplished pikemen, he apprenticed under them and further improved his already formidable skills with a pike. After generously donating all his inheritance from Lord Theremin to a young chemist in order to help the young woman establish her shop, she has supplied him with potions. All of these endeavors have contributed to his success in his continuing pursuit of criminals and evildoers within the cave networks of his home city. Eventually, he hopes to eradicate these elements once and for all? Jedgar can be found wherever there is trouble within the grottos and caverns of Nargothrond, protecting the weak and helpless from the lurkers who would harm them. Personality: Normally calm and reserved, Jedgar rarely speaks. He greets those he knows with a respectful nod, and doesn?t make eye contact with those he doesn?t. Cold, uncaring and vengeful towards those who take advantage of the helpless; Jedgar is not a man to be crossed lightly. However, he is a kind and grandfatherly figure to those who have earned his trust. It is not easy to earn his respect or loyalty, but once they are acquired, the same is expected in return in all situations. 22. Sounds interesting, but if you've already written it, why not copy and paste it to here? Meh, just a thought. An e-mail is on it's way...
 23. Indeed. There are a lot of really creative and interesting fan produced Episode III posters on The Force.net, some of which I have used for RPGs. I'd been hoping to get some interesting Star Wars posters fro my room, but I haven't been able to locate any worthy ones yet. So far I only have four small posters, two of the Yavin system and two others of obscure systems. I also have two rather large posters from Star Wars Gamer, one of which shows the galaxy. The other shows an obscure city on a rarely mentioned planet. I really didn't like the Episode I or II posters, and really would like to find a "Revenge of the Jedi" poster, or an original Star Wars: A New Hope poster.
 24. I was thinking more like this:
 25. *Breaks into the local Blockbuster and steals posters* I haven't seen any posters yet, and it's very interesting that a movie rental place would get them before me... I'll stop by Blockbuster and take a look around; perhaps they'll have one that they won?t miss. So, out of curiosity, what's on the new poster? What pictures? Are there ARC troopers? Is the new movie title on there, if so what is it? Is there a release date? *pants*
