Coke =D No contest, yo. Would you want to be in love with someone who hates you, and will never love you back? Or would you rather be the one that hated the one who was truly in love with you?
Dang, tough one! I guess I would say the later, because I'd always have the hope of finding someone I love who loves me back, or maybe I fight find I love the one I hate. Okay: ~Chicken or ~Fish Sorry, I'm tired :animesigh

"Workers" in social insect colonies (ants, bees, etc.) are females with no reproductive organs, the only males in the colony are drones who's only purpose is to mate with the queen. It is physically impossible for a human to be a true hermaphodite (posess a full set of both male and female sex organs), but all earthworm are. All human embryoes start developing female, until a particular hormone is releised by the male excusive Y chromosome in the 15th week of pregnancy; this is why men have nipples. Oh, and it's plausible for an inmate in prison to kill a guard using a cross-bow made out of newspaper (I'm watching Mythbusters right now :animesmil ). I'll put some more up later!

Hum :D This is really the WRONG question to ask me. But I'll try to keep it clean. I guess, since I really like animals, some exotic pets would be cool, but I'm not talking about a tiger or anything big like that, maybe a bobcat though. But I'd really like a chinchila, the world's softest mammal, and a western hognose snake, which is very small, has venom weaker than a bee sting, and is rear-fanged. Also when I was little, I wanted a house with a moat around it, but guess that wouldn't be very smart considering where I live. Instead, now I wish there was a flood wall around my house that can actually withstand a catagory 5 hurricane.

Um... well, it's not so easy for me since I don't really play either one. But I guess I'd go with Halo 2, since unlike Counter Strike, I didn't die in the first 5 sec of play the one time i did play it. Oh and...
Someone replied the same time as me.
Yeah I posted at the same time as Baron Samedi, then went back and changed my post. But, am I such a no body on OB that I'm just refered to as someone? :animecry: (Just kidding!) Anyway, back on topic: ~Being ignored by everyone or ~Having everyone watch your every move

I would rather be mute than deaf, since I don't really talk that much anyway. Alright, if it's been done before sorry :animedepr ~Shounen (boy's anime) or ~Shoujo (girl's anime)

Heh, I know the thread title is a bit of a mouthfull, but I couldn't think of any other way to word it. :animeswea Anyways, I'd like a banner and avatar set featuring my character in The Legionnaires, Aura. I've attached pictures of her in both true and human forms. Okay, so here are my guidelines: I'd like a background and border, even if it's just a plain black outline. On the banner, could you include both versions, but on the avatar just one. No screen name, but feel free to include Aura's name, or anything else on the banner. Besides those things, go nuts! :animesmil But really feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

OOC~ Yay! It's back! The streets of Kikya Port were dimmly lit with the lights from street lamps. Chris seemed a bit on edge as Geri followed silently behind. "You okay?" "Gyah!" Chris lept up in fright. He turned around to face Geri and let out a sigh. "Jeez Ger, don't sneak up on me like that. What are you doing here anyway?" "You're the one who suggested we split off into groups. Since no one really told me who I should go with, I just followed you, y'know, to keep it even." "Oh, yeah. Sorry about that. Just stick close, will ya." Chris turned around and continued walking. "What do you think I've been doing?" Geri mumbled to herself in a huff as she continued to follow. The two walked on in search of their crew mate. "I hope we find Joseph soon, this place gives me the creeps." "I here ya," agreed Chris, "The sooner we find him, the sooner we can get..." He stopped short. "What is..." but Geri didn't even need to finish her question before she got her answer. Three well armed men emerged from a side ally and bagan to aproach them. "Well, look at this boys. The cute cupple out for an evenin' stroll." Geri stowed her anger and remained silent as she continued to glare at these thugs. "We overheard ya talkin about Joseph. Well, ya see, we're lookin fer him too. So why don't ya be good and tell us where he's at?" "Why should we?" Geri responded in an annoyed tone. "Heh, I'll show you exactly why." The biggest of three thugs began walking over towards Geri. She just sighed as she unsheathed one of her katanas from her back. She preformed a lightning fast slash then resheathed her sword. "Ya missed swe-AH!" The man tripped and landed face down in front of Geri and Chris, his trousers now around his ankels. "Why you little b..." Chris kicked the guy in the face. "Now, now, that's no way to treat a lady," he added sarcasticly. The remaining two guys looked furious. "You guys are dead!" And with that, five more thugs emerged from the side ally. Chris and Geri, without a second thought, took off running down the street. "Ya just had to tick them off, didn't you?" "What can I say," Geri responded, "I have a gift." They made a sharp turn in an attept to loose them, but ended up faceing a dead end instead. They turned around to see the mob thugs closing in on them. "Well, I guess we have to fight them now."

Wow! Popular thread, and just like oblivious old me to miss it. I'll admit I didn't read every post, but how come it seems like all the mods are younger than me?! Anyways... My name is Alex, short for Alexandra, but call me that and you die  ! I'm 20, and I can't wait to turn 21 next Jan. I was born and raised in New Orleans, that's right, New Orleans. My house miraculously survived Katrina, and things are very, VERY slowly starting to return to some sense of normal. I'm currently living in Ruston, LA which is located in north Louisiana, where I'm in my second (sophomore) year at Louisiana Tech University. I'm majoring in pre-Veterinary Medicine. I love animals just as much as I love anime. I have three brothers and no sisters. One younger bro, one younger step-bro, and one older step-bro. I'm an aquarius, my blood type is A-, and I was born in the year of the Tiger. Anything else? :catgirl:

Well, I don't think these stories ever made the news, and one of them happened four years ago and the other last year: At my old high school, about a month after 9/11 and that initial anthrax scare, we had an anthrax scare of our own. In one of the geometry classes, a small tray of salt was left on the desk by the previous teacher during lunch. A substitute teacher came in after lunch and began teaching when he noticed the salt. He asked the class about it, and everyone, jokingly, told him they didn't know what it was. Well, the police and the bomb squad was called out to the school, and everyone had to stay in their classes. They eventually found out it was harmless table salt, and that's when the class admited they knew that their usual teacher liked to eat his lunch with salt. Needless to say, they were in trouble. But by then, the whole school was in an uproar as to how someone could possibly mistake a granulated substance such as salt for a powdery one like anthrax spores. The other story was how a seemingly sound telephone poll just suddenly feel outside of my brother's school knocking out the power and causing school to be let out early. It happened right after classes started in the morning, so everyone was inside and no one was hurt. Now the strange coinsidence is that one, it was the day before a former student's funeral, and two, it was April Fool's Day. Was this a prank from beyond the grave? Those are really the only ones I could think of. :animeswea
Anyway, my mum apparently had the same experience with my dad. They used to do this sort of variety show when they were in highschool, and every-time my dad and his friends would dress up as ballerinas and do this crazy routine to it. Needless to say, it was quite a shock when I found out.
Ha! Well, my dad dressed up as a cheerleader (female version) for Halloween several years back, but still in my lifetime. He was trying to poke fun at my cousin who had just made her high school squad. I can only give one word to describe the pictures: Disturbing. Anyway, back to me :animesmil I, personally have only been mistaken as a guy once. It was back when I was 16 and I had stupidly had most of my hair cut off. Luckily, one of my best friends also had short hair, and she looks even more like a guy than I did. This is because during that time, I at least tried to dress like a girl, while she's always been one to go for comfort over fashion, wearing loose and baggy cloths. She finally got tired of it after a while and let her hair grow back out.

Wow! Sounds need, and amazingly, easy to do. Quite a few modern movies have been based on Shakespear's works (ie. "10 Things I Hate About You" is based on "Taming of the Shrew"). The only thing is that I would avoid "Romeo and Juliet". I know you only used it as an example, but I think it's been a tad overdone. Of course, that's just my opinion. I would suggest "A Mid Summer's Night Dream" or some other play with several characters.

My current user name is the French word for Sun. It's pretty much going off of the sun theme I had with my last user name "Solar Princess". The idea for that one came from a Sailor Moon fan fic I wrote a long time ago. ...uh, that's pretty much it :animeswea

Strange nicknames given and received and how did you get them
Soliel replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Ha! I've been given some pretty stange nicknames, strange as in they have no connection to my real name (Alex). Aly-Cat- My dad gave me this name when I was little. Ari-chan- Gained this one in high school from my anime friends. Dr. P- I've always been good at science; my 8th grade science teacher gave me this one, since my last name starts with P. Space Cadet- I have such a bad habit of day dreaming and zoning out that my brothers started calling me this. O-chibi-san- My friend in my college anime club started calling me this 'cause since I'm short and I act like Ed from FMA. Bob- By far one of my strangest nicknames. One of my friends started calling me this because my real name reminded her of her little sister's bratty friend, also named Alex, so she just started calling me Bob. -
OOC~ Sorry for the lateness! My new job has kept me busier than expected :animesigh The wartorn devistation stretched as far as the eye could see. It was heartwrenching to see all the devistation... all the suffering... all the death. This is all your fault, Kimishino! "No, make stop! Make it go away!!" Haruna despirately shut her eyes and clutched her head with both hands, but the voice and images wouldn't vanish. "Nooo!" Wham! Haruna opened her eyes to find herself on the floor next to her bed. "Ow!" she mumbled as she attempted to sit up. She massaged the bump on her head as she stood back up. "I guess it was just a bad dream." Just then there was a knock on the door. "Hey, Haruna?" she heard Zanto's voice "Can I come in?" Haruna slowly walked across the room and open the door. "Hey, Zanto." She sounded a bit tired. "Oh, sorry. Did I wake you?" "No, I gave myself a wake up call. Did you want samething?" "Oh, yeah. I was just seeing if you were okay. You seemed a bit down when you left the bridge." "Uh.. yeah, I'm fine." Her glance shifted to the left and her slight grin faded. "This whole thing just seems a bit overwhelming." "I know how you feel, Haruna," Zanto patted her shoulder, "But we're soliers, we can't let our feeling cloud our judgement." Haruna looked back at Zanto. "Thanks. And don't worry, I'll be ready for the next battle, even it happens right now." Just then, the alarms when off. "Well, I didn't mean that literally!" "All hands, Level One battle stations!" Blared the voice over the intercom system. "Come on, Haruna!" "Right!" The two pilots dashed down the halls to the lift. Haruna quickly changed into her flight suit, securing her long raven hair under her helmet. She made her way into the cockpit of the Blitz Mk II, which she often times simply refered to as the Blitz, and prepared for launch. "Blitz Mk II, Haruna Kimishino, prepare for launch," "Alright, let's do this," she sighed to herself, "Haruna Kimishino, Blitz, launching." She felt the G-forces push her back against her seat as she was expelled from the Archangel. Imediately she noticed the ruined crop land of the Mississippi River valley, but she didn't let this distract her. Haruna quickly located Sakura in the Savior and the enemy mobile suits she was beginning to engage. OOC~ Once again, sorry to everyone for my lateness. Any problems with my post, just PM me :D
I know it would be nice to finish this year. But, see, I have this thing called work and it's been trying to suck out my soul lately. It's on my list of things I have (yes, have) to do when I get home tonight. Sarcasm's not necessary...I've been as frustrated with my lack-of-time as you've been, if not more. [/snark]
I know the feeling. I've only had my new job for a week, and I can already feel it taking its toll. Being an RA is hard :animecry:

Well, I'm following your lead, Sandy, and posting some more pics of my character, Aura. These, as you can see, are much, MUCH better than my last attempt. This is Aura in her natural form. While, here, Aura is pictured in one of her most recent human disguises; basicly this is how she appears when she is not on Legionnaires missions. I'm planning on making a banner/avatar set with these pics.

Heh heh :animeswea Gomen! Sorry! My apologies to Green Team. I finally posted, after a month of confussion and planning the ending. The only thing I've really added was the identities of the extra-demensional benefactors. Any questions? PM me.

A humanoid figure hovered outside- the sky around him was distorted. It's color and appearance shifted erratically. It gave him an ethereal appearance- like an angel of death, perhaps. "Eerily beautiful.." Aura whispered to herself. "Greetings." Kaida hailed the man and let her magic flow into the minigun, bringing it on-line. "Here to kill us, are you?" "It's nothing personal." The man replied and raised his hand. There was a snap as one of the extra-dimensional guns appeared. The man grabbed it and pointed at her. "You are merely in the way of our objective." Realization suddenly hit Aura like a ton of bricks. She now remembered where she'd seen those weapons before. "Hold on! What in the cosmoes is a Selenian doing here on Earth? And threatening us with leathal force, no less?!" Aura had a stunned look on her face as she demanded information from the extra-demensional. Kaida, meanwhile, wore a look of shear confusion. "Wait! Do you mean to tell me that you know this man, Aura?" "Well not personnally, he's a Selenian from the world Raolyn. Their technology is not only advanced, but has a unique design to it, that's why I recognised that weapon of their's. But I don't understand," she turned back towards the man, "Your people are a non-violent, prosperous race when I last visited your world." "Your last visit must have been quite dated, Agent of the IOPS, for quite a bit has changed." "EX-agent," she responded with a hint of disgust, "and what do you mean things have changed?" "We are not as prosperous as we once were. In fact, that is what brings us to your world..." he cut off from the conversation as he seemed to be listening and receiving instruction from some sort of com-link they couldn't see. "Roger that." He turned back to Kaida and Aura, "It seems I'm needed back inside. Heed my advice, leave us be and you will not be harmed." With that, he vanished through the portal he had come through, which faded into the darkness. Kaida scoffed, "Heh, like we need to heed a warning from a guy like that. We have a mission to finish, y'know. Right, Aura?" Aura, however, was still staring at the spot where the Selenian had vanished. "Selenians don't have the technology to travel between demensions," she said coolly. "What? Then how do you supose they got here?" "I've been thinking the same thing."

"Damn," Haruna swore lightly under her breath, but just loud enough for the others to hear her. Sakura and Zanto just looked at her in surprise. One, because she hardly voiced her emotions and two, when she did, Haruna almost never swore. But the situation they had now found themselves in was so overwhelming. They had somehow "time traveled" from one war and into another. Worst yet, Kazuma was still missing, and they had no way of knowing his status. All they could hope for was that he was still near where the Strike had come down, somewhere near San Antonio, Texas, or at least, what was San Antonio. She had just seen what had become of Chicago, and even though Haruna had never been there before, she had seen images of this prosperous city in their time. She just found it hard to believe that it now lie in ruins. Suddenly she was pulled out of her train of thought when she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay, Haruna?" Sakura asked. "Uh, yeah, just thinking." Haruna withdrew to her normal self, "I'm gonna go for a walk." She left the bridge in silence and headed for her quarters. As she roamed the halls of the ship, she could see repairs were still being made. She entered her room and collapsed on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. I just hope your okay, Kazuma, where ever you are.

Geri sat at the edge of the dock, staring out at the open sea. It never ceases to amaze me, she thought as she let the warm salty air brush her face, blowing back the red ribbons that held up her brown hair. "Well, enough of that, time to go help get the ship ready," she stood up and began walking back over towards the Crusade, as they had so named their newly acquired ship. "Excuse me, missy." One of the men helping to load the ship asked her, "Could you tell me where I could find this ship's head cook. We were told to ask him where to put these creates of food." "Oh, that's me. I'll show you where those need to go." The man chuckled under his breath as they boarded the ship and when down below. "That's strange. How'd a little girl like you get to be this ship's cook." Geri stopped short as she clenched. She spun around to face the man. "Excuse me! For your information bub, I'm not a little girl! I'm an adult! Got it?!" "Okay, okay, got it," responded the man, a bit shocked. Geri sighed, "Anyway, galley's through that door, just put that in there," she pointed to a door on the left. She turned and began heading back up to the deck. Just then one of the doors opened and Chris popped his head out. "Hey Shorty! Would ya mind keepin' it down out here." A chopping knife came flying in his direction and stuck itself in the door just above Chris's head. "I've already told you a thousand times, I'm Not SHORT!!!" Chris laughed groggly as he shut the door to his quarters. "Rrrr!" Geri spun around, fuming, as she stormed up to the deck, and smack into Kura. "Ow! Uh, sorry!" "It's okay, Geri, I didn't know you were on board already. Are you alright, you look upset," "Uh, yeah, it's nothing. What about you? You look like you got something on your mind, captain." ~~~~~~~ OOC~ Hope you don't mind that, Ziggy. Added a bit.

Thanks! The banner is great, but the avatar is a bit too big. The demensions for this site are 150x80 pixils. If it's not too much trouble could you also add a black outline to it. Thanks a ton!
