1. He's a terrible president, and if you can't figure out why he is, then you shouldn't be voting. If for some ungodly reason he gets reelected, I will lose all faith, more than I have already, in the American people. It's a damn shame his brother was elected as governor of Florida, and even worse shame he was "elected" president. They both have done nothing good for this country or their states.
 2. I must say, I like alot of your more earlier works better... I can't really say why cause I honestly can't pinpoint the exact reason. My favourite one of the list is probably the Kagerou one... yeah...
 3. I say we just get rid of the whole crappy forum and then everything will be solved.... of course I've been saying that for years... literally lol.
 4.
Originally posted by a Sext Straight Woman Well, I know that driving in Atlanta is a pain in the you-know-what, but that thing about vehicle registration is just hilarious. That's not true, just to let you know. I can't believe someone told you that, heh. Don't you live in Orlando, Transtic? Heh.
Driving in Hot-Lanta absolutely sucks.... I avoid going through the city at all cost.... it's very confusing... And yes, I live in Orlando... Well technically I live just north-east of it.
 5.
Originally posted by rttocs77 Hm, I don't really consider Florida the "south." It's like a warm yankee state ;)
Geographically speaking.... and I suppose the majority isn't what you'd think of as the "south" but there are parts here that fit in with the criteria of being the "south." Pretty much anywhere that's not Miami, Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville.
 6.
Originally posted by rttocs77 I live in DC right now, but I am Southerner at heart. My whole family is from Atlanta and my mom's side has been in Georgia pre-dating the Revolution (my mom is a member of DAR) My great grandmother lives in Savannah, and I go to Sea Island every summer (its near Jekyll, off the side of St. Simon's Island, which is near Brunswick) Woot! Georgia rasie up!
You know, you and I are like exact opposites... you're in DC now, but a true southerner, I was born in DC and live in the south now.... Anyway, Atlanta is like one of my favourite cities... next to Tampa.... I live about 8 hours from Atlanta... but yeah... Georgia... home of the sweet tea.
 7.
Originally posted by rttocs77 So, then I am right in saying that people you 'consider' 'preps' are people who follow trends? WHICH IS exactly what I said before. Moving on, what is it that a lot of you have against them? I think it stems from jealousy.
Well not exactly, I'd consider the current prep style a trend in itself... or a fad... (fad to me is a trend that become insanely popular... like what Jncos were back 6 years ago lol) Anyway, I don't have anything against them... I mean if you want to follow a fad, then do it... everyone else is lol... I had alot of "prep" freinds in High School... and alot of prep people I didn't like, but that was because they were dumba nd stupid and I wouldn't have liked them regardless what trend or fad they followed.
 8. Ofcourse it's against any constitution.... it violates the civil rights acts... It's about time someone actually read their own constitutions now.... and it's about time someone did and said something about it. America needs to take a step before everyone else... there's only two countries in the world that allow gay marriage, several other allow civil unions.... if America can step up to allow this... I think it would really show how great America really is.
 9.
Originally posted by rttocs77 There have always been clothing trends. If that's what you are going by, trends, then there have always been 'preps.'
And? I don't understand what you mean. What does that have to do with being a fad? Liek I said, there's always been alot of things, but when they become super popular they become fads, whether or not how long they've been around. Trends that are really popular are fads, because trends tend to die out, just like fads. Bellbottoms was a trend back in the 70s.... they were also a fad because it was so popular.... Gothic style clothing is a trend, but it's not popular enough to be a fad. When or if it becomes really popular, it will then become a fad. And gothic style clothing has been around forever, but that doesn't mean it can't become a fad.
 10.
Originally posted by rttocs77 I disagree. There have always been a 'well-dressed' and 'well-bred' crowd since highschools were born. Metrosexual sprung up like a year ago and is already dying out.
But when everyone starts to follow that style trend, it becomes a fad, regardless how long it's been around. You think they JUST invented Pogs back in 96 when it was a fad?... they'd been around a while, but it suddenly became popular, therefor becomign a fad....
 11. When I say prep, I don't mean the prepartory school kids... I'm referring to the slang term addressed to kids at high schools... Whether or not the origin of the word is such, the style and use of the word originated with peopel dressing that way.
 12. It's not a stereotype... it's a Fad.... just liek Metrosexual.... and boy bands, and pogs. It's a style, a fad.... Prep started with how peple were dressing... tucked in shirts, nice hair, etc etc etc.... Now apparently it's a mental thing or some crap... Whatever it is, it'll be gone in 5 years and you'll be "hating" something else.
 13.
Originally posted by Crimson Spider She says he looks middle-eastern, and has a name to suit it. And as you may or may not have known, Christains and muslums have been against eachother for quite awhile. That's the one factor I'm really considering. But this isn't a topic about that.
Then why'd you even mention it? If this is a factor in considering someone you date, then you shouldn't date at all. You should be lonely for the rest of your pathetic life. If she wasn't considering a date then she wouldn't have questioned it. Maybe he's a nice guy. Maybe he's a wonderful guy. Maybe he wants to treat your sister like a princess, but because he's middle eastern, well god dammit, it won't work cause he's a dirty little muslim.... get a life. I can't beleieve you even considered the fact he's Muslim in this. Thats just plain ignorant. And you also don't even KNOW if he's Muslim... thats even worse. Your sister obviously considered him... so here's some advice... tell her to go on a date. It wont hurt her to go to dinner with the guy. If she's afriad of ao one night stand, then she can go home after the dinner. If he's a jerk, she can leave in the middle of dinner.... the idea of a date is to find these things out about a person.
 14.
Originally posted by KarmaOfChaos What was the point of Diet, Caffine-Free soda?
Alot of people are allergic to caffine... And alot of people liek the taste of Diet Coke or have to drink Diet coke (ie: Diabetics).... therefor to fulfil there wants, Caffine free Diet Coke was made.... thats the only Diet coke my dad drinks.... I however prefer the caffine, I believe it adds a different taste to it. Regular coke is just... blah.... I feel like I'm drinking liquid sugar... How so many people can stand that is beyond me... The whole debate on whether or not Aspertame causes cancer was over many years ago... ifi t did cause cancer, like so many have said, it woul dhave been labeled so... and you wouldn't be seeing those pink packets on restauraunt tables either.
 15.
Originally posted by BabyGirl It's the taste factor. Coke is sickeningly sweet, I can't stand drinking it. I'm sure it's the same for most people who drink Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi, too. I don't think anyone can deny being able to taste the difference between diet and regular...it's just too vast.
I drink Diet for the taste as well. I can't stand regular coke, probably cause I've never drank it for long periods of time. Or cherry coke, or root beer, or Dr. Pepper unless watered down. But then again, i can't stand the taste of Diet Mountain Dew... that stuff is just nasty. Diet Coke is good for a Diet considering the fact it has 0-1 Callorie in it and not.. whatever regular coke has... If you're one of those Callorie diet people then it matters... Or diabetics drink it alot as well, for obviosu reasons.... I drink it for the taste.
 16. Supposedly the artificial sweetener, which I believe to be called Aspertame, can cause or potentially increase your chance of getting cancer... I've been drinking Diet coke for 20 years... I don't have Cancer.
 17.
Originally posted by rttocs77 Ok, then explain to me how exactly any of Reagan's economic plans or proposals caused the crash?
To the naked eye it doesn't cause the crash didn't happen till Bush was in office. But it was due to the Reagan's administration on economics which has a part in causing the crash. Take an economics class if you don't believe it. In fact, get out of high school first before you even try me.
You're right, I didn't get into Andover. I do know all about it. I also know a lot of people whose families gave tons to the school and they still didn't get in. Andover has one (if not the largest) of the largest endowments out of any school in the country, perhaps the world. If they don't find someone up to par with their standards, they won't accepts them either way. Harvard, maybe you could buy your way into, but not Yale.
Everyone has their price. I could get into ANY school, no matter what, if I have the right amount of money. Have you heard Bush talk either? Are you personal friends with him? I've heard him talk , I've heard his brother talk... they are both as stupid as the next.... they only know how to get whatthey want and they aren't good at much else.... Go back in time and live in Texas... and come live in Florida too if you don't believe it. The guys are morons when it comes to running things.... the only thing Jeb can do is speak Spanish... the only thing George can do is kill things, and apparently he's good at it. Neither of them can raise children worth a damn either. You keep up the smartass comments, you won't be here much to make 'em. I think this thread has run it's course, and judging from your lack of responce, i assume that I am right and you are wrong... jackass
 18.
Originally posted by rttocs77 The 80's had a great economy (well until the crash) under a Republican. The crash was also caused by junk bonds, not something the President did.
Reganomics.... right.... the reason for the crash was a combined effect of alot of things, including the infamous Reganomics.
Also, Bush went to Andover and Yale. I seriously doubt you could get in. Don't even try saying that the only reason was because of connections, because it's not. Connections don't get you into those schools.Trust me.
Trust you? Because you're a former president's son. You would know all about not getting into Yale and Andover. Have you heard Bush talk? Speak? Say anything remotely intelligent NOT written by someone else... have you been living under a rock? The guy has AVERAGE intelligence, if even that. You're not even out of high school.... what do you know about colleges and how they work.... everyone and everything has their price... Believe me, if I wanted to go to Harvard and I had 10 million dollars, you better bet they'll let me in.
Do you think Ben Stein says dumb things? He is a Republican and was a speech writer for Nixon (not for the Watergat deal though.)
If you read my post you'll notice I said "But I can't speak for all republicans, just the majority of them."....so that should clear that up right there. I actually think Ben Stein is one of the more liberal republicans.
 19. The spred of African culture is pretty much the only good thing that came out of it... i can't really think of anything good that comes out of rippinf children, mena nd women away from their family and friends.
 20.
Originally posted by cloricus [edit] TN you know what they say; "You get the politicians you pay for."
Aint that the god damned truth.
 21.
Originally posted by rttocs77 I could not agree with you more. It always seems like the Democrats are always the most whiney, annoying ones.
And Republicans always tend to say ignorant and stupid comments... I'd rather be an annoying b*tch than a stupid ***. But I can't speak for all republicans, just the majority of them. After the rep Bush gives Republicans, I wouldn't be so proud. Then again, thats probably why you say and do the things you do.... so much pride on the side of Republicans.... no rational thinking involved.... oh I'm sorry, i digress, I just don't like it when people generalize political parties like that, I'm sure you didn't like what I just said. The bottom line here is that a Politician can say whatever they want, but we all know (*cough* George Bush Sr. even though I liked the guy) that they can go and do exactly what they said they wouldn't. So in the end it really doesn't matter who you vote for cause they'll probably do something you don't want them to do... or they'll screw something up.... or get us into war.... or pretty much anything George Bush has "accomplished" in his pathetic 3 years so far. If you like a good economy, be a Democrat. If you like tax cuts, be a Republican. If you like women's choice, be a Democrat, if you like guns, be a Republican. If you like guys who can't keep it in their pants, be a democrat, if you like guys who say the dumbest things on the face of the planet, be a Republican. If you don't want to vote in the Primaries and don't like anyone, be an Independant.
 22.
Originally posted by Justin If I were you, DeathBug, I'd research candidates instead of parties. Often times, you can find candidates will deviate from the standard views of their parties.
Well you can't really do that to decide your party affiliation, cause each person is different from their party (take Arnold for example). Once you decide an affiliation, you can vote for whomever you want (with the excetion of the primarys) So choose your affiliation (do your research on your political party), then vote for whoever. (do research on the candidates)
 23. There is a topic, albeit a fairly older one, int he Music/Movies section. You can just RIAA and you'll find it.
 24.
Originally posted by cloricus So in the end does it matter? You?re what; 1 in 180 million voters? Why bother, it?s not as if you?re vote even counts in the long run.
Well if everyone thought that way, then no one would vote, then the individual vote would count... You know, more people don't vote than those who do vote, so if all the people who didn't vote, start voting, that itself could turn an election completely around. And since voting is based on the states in America, it does matter more than voting in a nation. Bush didn't win the popularity vote in the 2000 election, Gore did, yet Bush still won, because of about 200-1000 (or something like that) votes in Florida... Because 200-1000 people decided not to vote, Florida's electorial college reps voted for Bush and not Gore, that certainly changed the outcome of the election. It certainly doesn't take anymore than an hour to vote... an hour out of your Tuesday life to vote.
 25. The DVD only had the video for OBSCURE.... a whole 5 minutes for $15 more... although it was limited press, and it'll probably be worth something later.
