1. My boyfriend likes the Yeah Yeah Yeahs but I'm not really into them.
 2.
I have had many stiches, broken bones, cuts, bruises and burns. The one for me that takes the cake would have to be getting my right index finger caught in the moving gears of a piece of farm equipment. Needless to say my finger was complete ground up and I had to have it amputated. I could go into graphic detail but I am pretty sure you can all imagine what it looked like after passing through gears.
AHHH No more talking for you! Chibi, I've never been hit with a pillow in the nits before... but take your pillow and hit your husband int he nuts... if he screams really loud, well there you go.
 3. I've gotten a slap shot to the nuts before, but sorry to say thats not the most painful experience I've ever had. When i was 16 or 17, something wierd happened to me. It was like a rash on my skin or something. Anyway, it swelled up all my sweat pores and anytime I would get hot and sweat, it would build up and push against the swelling. It was pretty much all over my body except on my face and on my crotch (i just wanted to be able to say crotch, but its true)... it felt like someone took hundreds of needles at once and started poking me over and over. Its like that feeling when your foot falls asleep and starts waking back up again, but 100000 times worse. I wouldn't be bale to walk it hurt so much I would fall to the ground in pain.
 4. Friends was over rated... but themost over rated show ever? Seinfield.... HORRIBLE show... I can't understand why anyone in their right mind found that funny...
 5. You're not in love. You have a school girl crush. Maybe you should look up the word love before you go proclamining your false love to some unsuspecting person.
 6. Eh... people have attitudes, get used to it. Maybe if you talked with words and not letters and numbers, people would take more of a liking to you. People tend to like the intelligent, well spoken people. When you make yourself look like an idiot, well there's not much I can help you with there.
 7. Anything can go from bad to worse if thats all you think its going to do. It's called the effects of negative thinking, or as I like to call it simply "negativity." When you already have anegative view on something, it can no longer get "better" it can only get "worse" therefor if you eleiminate your negative view on something, well they the possibility of getting better is already there. Case in point, you didn't want to do long jump. You probably really didn't even try cause you didn't want to do it in the first place. Well you tried anyway, although not very hard and look what happened. Had you rid yourself of the negativity, and actually tried, that most likely wouldn't have happened, and who knows? You could have had the longest jump that day, which woul dhave made you proud or happy or something like that I'm sure, making things better for you. If you go into something with a pessimistic view, you're probably gonna come out of that same thing with a pessimistic view, most likely worse than when you went in... If you go in with an optimistic view, you'll come out most of the time enjoying what you did and glad you did it. Try it sometime. It's all a mental thing. Has nothing to do with luck or confusion or fate.
 8.
Either that or it just shows they don'y want to talk about visual kei flavor of the month bands.
Or they saw the basically same topic not 5 posts below this one. Perhaps one should look for other posts, you'd be surprised topic maker person: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?t=42584
 9.
calm down calm down. i didnt read your post in its entirety, i never really tend to do so anyways, takes too much of my time. i get your argument in its entirety now. i know how colors work my fellow otaku, i have the experience from high school to prove it. the whole color thing and the sun must have tooken a miss for me, because my hair never changed color at all, and i get plenty of outside exposure.
I'm clam, it was amore of a joke than yelling or anything. I only capatalize words I like to emphasize, not implying im yelling.... changing color is hair doesn't happen after a few days... usually takes months, sometime a year for it to happen. It usually happens to people who consistantly are outside for hours upon hours for days upon days.... surfers for example tend to have that happen to them , anyone who spends alot of time at the beach or lives on the beach... those type of people.
 10.
Think about what you said, does your hair actually tan?
RRRREEEEAAAADDDD MMMMYYYY PPPOOOOSSSSTTTT I said your hair LOSES pigment, i never said it tans. Your skin changes pigment when interacting with the sunlight/rays hence why your skin gets DARKER! Your hair on the other hand LOSES pigment, which means it GET LIGHTER! Did i not make that clear? Do you not know what pigment is? Do you not know how color works?
For example, peoples eyes can change color because of the colors they are wearing on their clothes. For example winter colors tend to show more dark pigments in a persons eyes and the opposite is true for summer colors. Aren't colors weird?
Yes, aren't they weird. I've never heard of anyone's eye color changing depending on your mood. Ahh here's where the weird color part comes in. Since the majority of people have no idea how color and/or light work, I'll give you a little lesson. If a person, were to wear all dark clothes, their eyes, if they happen to be blue, would appear to be MORE light because of the contrast with the majority of dark colors. It works with art too, go try it... get a black piece of paper and draw a little circle in the middle with blue and then get a white piece of paper and draw another circle same size witht he same blue and show me that your eyes will precieve them to be the exact same shade of blue. If you say yes, you're lying.... Colors are very weird.
 11. Yeah, my eyes change color all the time. I believe its called color contacts.... quite an invention. Makes your eyes magically change color! In all seriousness though... Hair color can change with the sun. Sun light affcts your hair like it affects your skin. The same reason why you TAN is the same reason why Pigment is your hair is removed with excess sun light. However, it's all temporary, as when your hair grows back, it will grow back in its original color. Now, newborns and children under the age of 5 have common occurances when their hair will actually gradually change to their "nature" color. For instance, I have dark brown hair, as a todler, I had blond hair. That doesn't work with adults though. Unless dye is involved. Eye color on the other hand. I think many of you don't understand how light works. When light is removed things tend to become darker than they were if lets say, light was there. Hence when it's stromy outside, theres no direct sunlight, your eyes tend to look darker! Ahh amazing isn't it? What a coincedence that the lack of sunlight would make your eyes look darker. Does anyone have any logically thought process here? Or do you just random come up with fantasies to explain what doesn't need explaining.
 12. You have to realize the DMV deals with the lowest of people on a daily basis and several times a day. The quicker you are the happier they are. I realized that when I got my licence and I waited in line for an hour or so just to hand them 2 papers and have them tell me to sit down and kep waiting. So I did my drivers test perfect and I was in and out of that portion of the test in 20 inutes max if that, so she was rather happy. I think i'll go order a new licence online this time instead of going to the DMV for it lol.
 13. I don't think movies shoul dbe rated, instead should have a warning. Now you might see this as the same thing, but it's not. When you watch a movie on TV or HBO or Showtime, it not only has the rating of the movie but it gives the reasons why it was rated whatever... Partial nudity, adult situations... now I know movies at the theater also have this, but they don't tell you right at the theater, it only has the rating. If they dropped the rating and only said "this movie has nudity, adult situations, adult language" parents would know, hey, thats not a movie little johnny should see, when they may take him to an R rated movie, such as Romeo Must Die, where it was rated R simply for language and severe action or something, cause there was no nudity or adult situations or anything like that. Ratings aren't precise enough. Can you really tell me the difference between G and PG or even PG and PG-13... I can never tell and sometimes movies I think would normally be rated PG-13 are rated R or the other way around. I hear that if the F word is said more than twice ina movie it's automatically rated R, if not higher. Which I think is a ridiculous reason to rate a movie R when 80% of kids parents probably say ******* around them on a constant basis. I think the ratings should be more lienent. Anyway, yeah...
 14. Simple answer to the question is the complete lack of reality that posseses every member of the MPAA. The people that rate these movies are actually kept secret, most of which are married mothers, who only care about the morality that their children will lack because they give too much thought to outter influences instead of the influence they actually give their children. Yeah... thats why. Or something like that, which I'm sure is not really the answer, just what I think... Persoanlly I think rating systems are ridiculous. It shouldn't be up to a secret group of people to decide what you can and cannot see, play, do, whatever... Cause lets face it, a group of 10 or 100 people can't possibly know what is best for the millions and millions of people that will see, play, do or whatever the product they are rating. Therefor, they are bogus.
 15. I'm in Central Florida, in the middle of all this non-sense. I'm in the north east corner of Orlando. We weren't adversly affected by Ivan, just when it came back around as a bunch little storms... but Charley was a direct hit and Frances went south of us by about 30 miles, which still gave us TONS of rain and lots of wind. However, Carley knocked down all our trees so nothing was really left to know over. Jeanne or whatever this one is called i hope does that turn thingy a little sooner tan expected, or just doesn't turn at all so i'm not affected that much... however, if it turns late, well then its making its way right up to us.... so... yeah... i hate hurricanes... I've lived here 14 years, never had one big hurricane hit florida.... this year, i've had 2 big ones, Ivan missed thank god, and Jeanne is another one that could be potentially dangerous... we're bording up our windows as I type.
 16.
but I'm sure other people share my thoughts.
Well looks like you were wrong, I'm sure getting something wrong doesn't make YOU stupid now does it? Of course, that could only be other people, not smart, intelligent, ridiculously arrogant you would it?
 17. I bought it today... I don't even know whY i bother replying in this topic...to many replies already... anyway... I haven't watched it yet or anything lol. It's just sitting on my shelf with my other Star Wars DVDs and the first Trilogy VHS release. I rekon i'll watch it sometime this week after tests are done.
 18. Its about time the Redskins win another Superbowl esspecially with Joe Gibbs back in town.
 19. I don't think either of the movies were made to.... dabble deep into the RE World. If you want that, play the games, read the books, don't go see movies. Anyone who's even got a shread of intelligence knows a movie based on a video game is not going to dwell in the character development or the plot. If its based off a game, the character development is there and so is the plot. Albeit, RE and RE: Apopcalypse add new characters but the basis is the same. It's not meant to dwell in in depth plots and characters, it's supposed to appeal to the shoot'em up video gamers who have lost enough brain cells already as it is. Carlos and Jill have been in the Games.... 2 or 3 of them I think...something like that... so their characters are already developed. If you haven't played the games, don't bother seeing the movie. Unless you just want to enjoy a good action flick. Alices character, as far as I know, is a new developed character for the movie. She isn't that developed, which is good cause it leaves some room for any sequence to dwell on that, which I think will happen if they decide to make a 3rd instalment. Anyway, if you didn't like the film becuase of its lack of plot or character development, your fault you wasted your money. Play the games or read the books if you want that stuff... it's a movie based on the game, there is no need to do any of that stuff unless they completely change it all, and they didn't, so there was no need to explain it all. Anyone who doesn't know it was based off a game... well you should just gimme all your money now. As for the actual movies, I enjoyed Apopcalypes more than the original... but I'm all for those whole action scenes... cause it's F-ing cool to watch... and thats all I was expcting out of the film and it delivered.
 20. Well for starters, you wouldn't ask that question here. You may want to ask the person in charge of the artist section or whatever, whoever that is... I imagine it's James or Adam or someone along those lines.
 21. Schools have the right to enforce any and all dress codes they choose. You don't have a say... as long as you attend a public school, the freedoms typically awarded to you in real life, ie freedom of speach which applies to what you wear, don't apply in school. Complaining about it isn't helping anyone... Sometimes it can be ridiculous, yes... but unfortunantly there's not really much you can do. When it starts getting too ridiculous, then you can take a stand, but making a kid turn his beer shirt inside outi s not getting ridiculous.
 22.
I find most japanese singers sound pretty much the same, except for maybe male singers and female singers, i think unless you can fluently speak Japanese you will have trouble telling music apart, i know of two Japanese singers, Ayumi Hamasaki(female) and Mr. Children(male), i'm not quite sure what the things you wrote up there are but those are some Japanese singers should you want to research them some more.
What does the language they speak have to do with the genre of music they produce? I think its quite easy to tell the differet between male singer TM Revolution and male group Due le quartz. Or female singer Ayumi Hamasaki and the group move who has a lead female singer. The language they speak has nothing to do witht he sound they produce... so saying all o them sound alike either means you're ignorant or you've only heard 2 songs. Thats like me saying Ricky Martins and Metallica sound alike if I didn't understand english. Ridiculous. Try L'arc~en~Ciel, Surface, Penicillin or any of their solo projects (Chisato and Hakue to be more specific) Gackt, Laputa, machine, Siam Shade, and Takui. Thats for your rock tastes. If you want pop, well thats a much bigger list.
 23. Isn't there another forum you can post this useless junk in?
 24. The commercials aren't comparing anything, they're asking for a solution. The commercials, if you read the initial post, say "Would you help your friend if they were in trouble"... Thats the simplicity of the commercial, would you help them.... they don't compare smoking to drowning, they simply ask "Would you help them..." I think it's pretty obvious, regardless that smoking is a choice, that smoking is bad and harmful and therefor not good. As a friend, would you help them to get rid of this harmful thing... thats what the commercial asks. Just as you woul dhelp your friend if they were drowning or if they were hit by a car, the commercial asks if you would help your friend if they were addicted to or doing drugs. Marijuana, Tobacco, whatever. There is nothing ridiculous about saving a friends life, even if they are not in immidiate danger.
 25.
I suppose the closest PC definitions are: Gay=the lifestyle associated with an attraction and relationship with a member of the same sex. Homosexual= Having a sexual orientation to a member of the same sex.
I dunno why you just gave me the deffinitions of gay and homosexual. They both had nothing to do with what I stated. I said why do heterosexuals automatically associate a different sexual orientation with the ACT OF HAVING SEX... not all gay people have sex all the time, many are virgins... I just don't assume every heterosexual is having sex witht he opposite gender. Just as you should not assume every gay/bi person is having sex with the same gender. As I stated before and on MANY occations before hand, having sex with the same gender does not mean your gay.
There?s a list for these people? Why wasn?t I told you had a list?
I never said anything about a list... I said there are millions of people who have had sex witht he same gender who remain heterosexual. Why do I find myself repeating what I already said?
? Sure it does. I think you are confusing the verb with the professions orientated with them. A surgeon performs surgery. A mountain climber.. well.. climbs. Even if you don?t do it on a regular occasion, for that brief moment, you were a climber. Now I?m a firm beliver in the power of change. I don?t think that when someone ?tries? sex with a member of the same sex, then decides heterosexuality is the path for him/her, then I don?t believe he/she is currently homosexual.
That was my point.... Thats what this whole topic is about... again it amazes me that everythign I said is being repeated again....
Hey, I agree with you up until the ?normal? part. I?m not going to debate the merits and flaws of homosexuality. But I would not say having sex flagrantly for that matter is normal at all. It?s one think to think about having sex.. but to commit to the act is an entirely different arena.
Yes and its completely normal to think about sex and its completely normal to engage in the activity of sex... Are you saying that if two 12 year old boys engage in a sexual activity that they are now considered gay? Judging by your comment I would guess your answer to be yes. The reason i use the example of younger boys is because at that age curiosity in sexual development is at its peak. Just because someone is curious and tries something doesn't make them whatever they try. Am I the only one who understands what I'm saying or is it flying over everyone elses head too?
I?m curious as to what activities were engaged, and why these doctors think this is a normal activity? I mean, if so many people are so morally or philosophically opposed to it, on what basis do these doctors call it ?normal?? Once again, my doubts aren?t on the right/wrong of the issue, but the validity.
I could tell you what activities were done, it was just stated as "sexual activities" and the reason doctors think it's normal is because ALOT of children going through those stages end up in some sort of sexual activity with another member of the same sex. If you don't believe me, call your psychiatrist or just go to Barnes and Noble and get one of the bajillion books on going through puberty or sexual development and read it for yourself. Don't ask questions, do the work for once.
