Originally posted by cloricus Also I'd like to know TN's logic for putting it in this forum?
Woah woah woah.... It wasn't I who moved it into this forum.... Thats a big negative.
Excuse me, I'm going to download all the pornography I can get because the 'majority' of male otaku's thinks its cool. EDIT: Am I the only one that doesn't chop and change his morals? Actually, don't answer that, I do not want to know.
No one ever said you HAD to look at pornography, i was just stating simple little facts about it. It's not this evil thing you all make it out to be. It's just pictures. Hell, 99% of the people who look at pornography will never ever have such a good looking man or woman in their life. Thats why it's all fantasy, and surely fantasy cannot be a sin. Thats like telling me to stop breathing. God gave us free will, yet we cannot fantasize? Please. If you don't want to look at porn then don't, like I said, kudos to you. But alot of people do, probably, and most likely, including your very own parents and high religious figures. Why do you think all those catholics were having sex with altar boys? Cause they had the right of fantasy taken away from them. ALl animals, including humans because we're animals too, have a natural sex-drive. To take that away from someone, well... you saw what happen. I never changed or chopped my morals. My morals do not say "Don't look at Pornography, it's evil and bad. And look!, people having sex; a normal, human behaivor just on film for me to watch."
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud I don't know what is worse, being a man and not being able to control yourself, or being a female and not knowing that "David" was sculpted by Michelangelo after watching a movie on it...seems that your attention span is no better then those boys commenting on Davids "ahem" equipment....:p
lol I was about to say the same thing. Guys like porn, girls can't stop yappin long enough to pay attention the a video they are supposed ot be watching. Leonardo de Vinci didn't even do sculpture as far as I know. Painting, inventing, and anatomy were his things. ::sigh:: DOnatello did the other famous statue of David during the Renaissance, and Bernini the other during the Baroque, but I'm sure eeryone knew that :p Anyway, we had this discussion in my AP Art History calss when I was in HS. What makes nudity art and not Pornography.... It's simple, pornography has a sole purpose, and that is of sexual stimulation, nothing more, nothing less. Nudity is not. Nudity is art, it's meaning is not to sexually stimulate the viewer. Its purpose is artistic. Whatever that artistic purpose is is up to the artist. In Italy,a nd much of Europe (Japan too, except genitalia must be censored, whether it be pornography or not, it all has to be censored), nudity is seen everywhere. In magazines it's quite common. In Italian class, my teacher had several Italian magazines and almost everyone of them had artistic pictures of nude females or males either being used for commercial use in advertisement or just part of the magazine's stories. Although one magazine had lego men and women in rather sexual posisions... that was quite odd.... lol

Not a big fan of the White Stripes, although I did catch them all last week on Conan. They are good, I'll give 'em that, but not for me.
Originally posted by Voodookanaka I have 10GB worth of music, the quite simple thing is that this a case of, why pay for something when its there for free? SO what if its a crime? HAHAHAHA lol... yeah anyway. Exactly right Voodoo-san. It's free, and it's widely available. If artists complained so much about, maybe they should just get another job (But wait, it's not the artist complaining so much is it? It's the millionairs sitting on their a$s all day that are complaining). The Music industry is a corrupted business, like all other big business in America. It's not the American way to steal people's music, but by dammit, it's the American way to rip off the consumer so you can feed your greedy needs. God bless America!

lol, yeah the bible says thou shalt not look at playboy. I'm sure thats not what you meant though, so i'd like to know the exact verse if you have it. It all depends how you look at it. Men are men, men are horny, straight men need to look at naked women to be "happy."... same thing goes for women. Thats why there's a playgirl, although never as popular, still the same idea is in place. Nudity is art, and thus in a way Pornography is art. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they both are the same, for they aren't. Nudity and pornography are two totally different things but they are realted. If I had a picture book of paintings of nude females, would you be against that? Pornography is fantasy, and fantasy is what our minds are all about. If you can go live your life without the express want to see at least a BIT of pornography, then kudos, but alot of people can't including even the highest orders in religion.

I know that DragonBall is based of the ancient CHinese legend of the Monkey Boy... so I assume Monkey Magic was too.

I download mp3s on a daily basis, well not anymore, I used to. When I hear a song I liek I download it. Granted 90% of that isn't American music, so it really doesn't matter. The RIAA has enough money as it is and as with everything else coporate in America, they just want more without caring abotu anything else. I'd rather live in a communist country than in a country that allows rich people to be richer and poor people to become pooer. File sharing is promoting communism? If you're not then you're not promoting democracy. Majority wins, and the majority likes to share mp3s on the net. Artist gain what? 15 cents per CD sold? Something along those lines, the rest goes to the greedy bastards in the RIAA. AT LEAST 50% of all sales sould go to the artist, if it weren't for them, the crappy RIAA wouldn't be getting anything anyway, then you have the American public eating up this crap over and over again. If you want to support your artist, don't buy their CDs. Send them money, go to their concerts, buy stuff THEY make, not stuff endorced by the RIAA. If I wanted to support Linkin Park, I would send them the $15 for their CD, I would go to their concerts. I'm not buying their CD. I haven't yet, and I never will. I haven't bought an American made CD in a very long time and I don't plan to any time soon. The internet cannot be controlled. People don't seem to realize this. If you want to stop file sharing, stop the software making mp3s, making videos. Don't stop the people. lol Thats the most idiotic thing ever. But they aren't smart enough to do that. It's impossible to stop the trade of mp3s. It won't happen, ever. the RIAA doesn't represent the world, it cannot control the internet, it doesn't have the right to. By disabling Napster or Kazaa or WInMX, you are disabling access to that program by not only Americans but the rest of the world and you simply cannot do that. Just because the RIAA are greedy bastards doesn't give them the right to take away the internet to the world. AudioGalaxy and Napster are fine cases of this. You know peopel from Japan, Germany, England, Poland, China, and almost every other country in the world used those programs. Now that some crappy American company decides it cannot work, those countries can no longer use this program. Why don't we start caring about important things, like why 11,000+ people are killed each year by guns, or why the US ranks so low in Education, or why people can't see who they are voting for on ballots that screw people out of the presidency, or why there are single mothers with 8 kids out there who continue to do nothing but take money from tax payers like me becaus ethey're to lazy to get jobs, or why we continue to give rich people tax breaks, or why our economy is a complete and utter mess. I think those things are just a tad bit more important than the greedy RIAA and their ridiculous quest to rule the world. The RIAA can still *bleep* me for all I care
Originally posted by Solitaire No offence or anything, but James, Japanese cars are some of the worst cars ever, or atleast the cars in America, they suck. I mean, they are cheaply made, not high quality, or up to the standards that you say. Mitsubishi cars suck. Don't know if your talking about them, but I felt like I had to give my opinion [whether it be wrong or not.] BTW: Happy birthday James
Actually on average Japanese cars tend to last longer. All foreign cars tend to last longer which is precisely why they are so damn popular. In the 70's when the Japanese auto industry boomed, the reason why they did so well is because a) they were cheap b) they were built better, and c) they didn't eat up all that fuel that american cars do and did. If you give the average American a Japanese made car and an American made car, chances are the Japanese made car will have less problems and typically last longer than the American car. My family owns 3 Japanese cars, 2 of which were actually manufactured in Japan, and one of them, my car, is a Mitsubishi. Sure it has problems, every car does, but you can't just say Mitsubishi's suck lol. Thats a matter of opinion, like you said, and is simply not true. Fords suck too, but again thats an opinion. Just think about it, if Japanese cars were the worst cars ever, why does just about every country in the world have them? Why do you see them everywhere? I'd love to go to Australia and see what you all have to offer for cars. Seems to be a rather huge market for em. :)
two words dodge viper (any kind will do) ||
Oh yeah, some guy around here owns a nice Viper coupe. He comes into work every now and then. Uber nice dude. His car used to sound like crap, then he got it fixed. Damn thing sounds like a funny car when it's runnin.

It'll most likely be a side story. I didn't do any research yet because I'd rather not know the story. Plus if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Solo have some past with the Rebellion or the Empire? He has to have some past that they can make a story out of.

Anime Movie 14 "100 years after goku leaves with shinron"
Transtic Nerve replied to pbfrontmanvdp's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by Youko Minamino The 14th movie would be the 10th anniersary special.
Thats considered the 4th DragonBall movie, not a DBZ movie. There are only 13 DBZ movies. Three Original DragonBall movies, plus the 10th Anniversary movie, which is widely considered the Forth. Three TV Specials, and the OAV(s) I dunno if you would consider that two OAVs or one OAV in two parts. Oh yeah, that stupid Chinese Live action movie too, but that doesn't really count. Then the new live action movie which Fox is making... but that doesn't count either. -

I dunno but I would venture a guess that it's insanely cheaper to not only purchase a Japanese car, but to have any additions to it made. I could be wrong, I dunno. Maybe Aussie's just have better tastes. lol. People don't have alot of body kits here for Supras. I've seen one on an early 90's model Supra, which was sweet. lol. The majority of cars you see here sooped would be Honda Civics, Acura Integras, any small 4-cylinder Japanese car. Occationally you get the American car all nice, mostly Ford Mustangs. I would love to soop up my Stealth. I am planning a few changes here and there. It already has custom rims and a paint job lol. But thats about it. It'll be rice.... My friend said I should put some Nos in it lol. I laughed and said I don't think so. I have no intentions to race my car... plus any Honda Civic or any 4-cylinder car would easily beat me if they had Nos as well. I simply can't keep up with the weight of my car to theirs. Anyway, back to the subject. It would be nice to see some sweet Supras out here. It'd be nice to see alot of sweet looking cars just driving around. If everyone did it, it'd be alot cheaper to get it done lol. Weird how that works.

Dahli, van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Turner. There aren't many particular artists I enjoy, since many of them have changed styles dramatically over their time (ie: Dahli and Picasso, both of whom did impressionistic art at the beginning of their career and moved on to other things. Surrealism and Cubism in their case.) but tend to like certain pieces of work. Artists like van Gogh and Monet, who kept a rather steady style of art, tend to appeal to me in a whole. I like all of the van Gogh works I've come across and most of Monet's. I like Dahli's surrealist paintings and Picasso's cubist paintings. I like alot of modern art, both paintings and architecture. There's far to many artists to count. It'd be easier to tell you the ones I don't like lol. Degas for example I don't like. His style and subject matter simply don't appease me asthetically. Many of the Rococo painters tend not to appeal to me, except that one painting "The Swing" which I really enjoyed. That Spanish Baroque painting called "Las Meninas....." or whatever by Valasquez I didn't really like either. Styles of art that I like include Neo-classical, Romantic, Baroque, Rennaisance-like, Impressionism, Surrealism, Post-Impressionism, Pointilism, Cubism, Color-field (although many people find that incredibly boring, I find it rather intriguing) and several others. Styles that don't appeal to me include early impressionistic art including people in every day life doing boring things. I feel if a painting is gonna have a person or any object it in, it should look a) real, dead and bloody or dying or b) completely unrecognizable as a person. (ie: Cubism) lol I don't paint people for that specific reason. I paint landscapes and abstract art. I don't like people portrayed in art unless they are elegantly dressed in armour or something exotic or well... dead lol. Like on Jeericault's Raft of the Medusa.... lots of dead/dying people. Although exceptions are made, as with everything. Like for van Gogh for example.
Originally posted by gokents BTW... This is the toyota supra...
That Supra is so sooped up it's not even funny. You'll never see that version of a Supra on the road. That seems to have loads and loads of personal touch to it. One of my good friends owns a Supra. Actually about 3 people around here own a Supra, including Hulk Hogans 14 year old son. It's red, pretty damn sweet. I want to own a Supra. I want my friend's black one. I asked if he would sell it. He seems rather willing. lol I see an NSX every now and then on the road here. There's a guy that owns one around here. He also owns a Ferarri, an older 70's model and a newer model as well. Sunday I went to this guys house who's restoring a Shelby Cobra and a Stingray. He also owns a 60's Impala and a 30's ford. It's pretty sweet. As well as a Prowler. They were all very nice.
Originally posted by Matt REAL reality tv is if you put cameras all over someones house/car/work place and showed it on tv w/o telling the person. Yeah... i thought it was always spelled Czars not tsars...

Reality TV tends to be associated with the fact that the shows aren't scripted. There are no actors, these people aren't paid to be on these shows (at least most of the time). It's REAL as much as shows with paid actors actors are fake. Thats what it all means. It's quite ingenious if you think about it. You get a bunch of no good losers and pay them nothing to be on TV, cause after all it's TV, thats good enough.... then you get high rating that pay for more than the million you're paying the loser winner and boom, you, the TV station make TONS of money and for basically doing nothing at all. Kudos to the person who came up with the idea of reality TV. Now if only it wasn't so over done like EVERYTHING else in America, there wouldn't be a problem.

Anime Movie 14 "100 years after goku leaves with shinron"
Transtic Nerve replied to pbfrontmanvdp's topic in Otaku Central
It's a GT project. Not really movie 14, more of a Television Special. Like Trunks and Bardock were. It was played on TV before, if, it was even released on video. I thought it was a rather cute movie. Kinda tying up the series. Giving fans one last thing to formally end everything, even though it kinda has a cliff hanger at the end. I mean, everyone wants to know what happens to Gokou Jr.... but oh well. It brought back alot of the old qualities that made DragonBall popular in the first place. This particular one is a kids movie more than something genred for adults (ie: Dragonball Z and the latter parts of DBGT) It goes well with ending the series then watching the 10th Anniversary movie. Kinda gives you a closing to an epic series of anime. I mean, I believe DragonBall/Z/GT is the longest anime series that follow any chronological order that has been made. (Gundam is the longest series of anime, but none of them follow any chronological order, meaning Youc an't watch Wing and then X and then G Gundam and expect them to have same characters or intertwine in plot) So I see it fitting to end it with a recap of the past and a look to the future.
