My boyfriend and I have a 3 and a half year age difference. Seems to be working, but then again, I'm significantly yolder than you. I think age difference is a big deal when people are 12-15 years old. But after that, i don't think it really matters. You shoul dmature sometime before the age of 16, and if you don't... well maybe you should be put back in elementary school with the other people like you.
Oh just to say something I find Dare Devil the best Marvel movie.
Well if thats the case, you mise well discount your whole opinion on Spider-Man. I don't mean to rant off subject but Daredevil is, by far, the worst of the recent marvel/comic movies. The Hulk follows a close second. Anyway, don't think I hated Spider-Man 2, I just think it oculd have been TONS better if they put more effort into it. Or just hired someone other than Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.

Unauthorized use of anime image in Bush campaign ad?
Transtic Nerve replied to MillieFan's topic in General Discussion
First off, yes he is using BR in his banner to get publicity for his boards but that is a non-profitable organisation
Well thats not entirely true. Some people use thir website/webboard as a grounds for alot of peopel to interact, some usually put advertizement banners on said sites, usually these ad banners cause some sort of money tranfer from whoever to said site owner. Usually by the number of visitors or number of click per ad banner, so to reiterate, there is a strong possibility that they are using an anime chaarcter to gain a profit or at least some money. Whichever the case, it's the same thing. Anyway, I really don't care either way. If an anime character makes you wanna vote for Bush then you should just shoot yourself now. -
Unauthorized use of anime image in Bush campaign ad?
Transtic Nerve replied to MillieFan's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps it makes no difference, but what makes George Bush's use of an anime character any different than lets say... YOUR use of an anime charcter in your sig? Did you get permission to use it? I may not like George Bush, but as far as this situation goes, people in glass houses should not throw stones. -
On a side note. . Transic, you mentioned something about Spiderman 3 having Green Goblin. . did you mean the Hobgoblin? Or did you actually mean the Green Goblin? I am a little rusty on the Spideman stories, so I don't know if Harry is going to become Green Goblin after his father, or Hobgoblin. . it's been a long time. [/color']
Norman Osborn played the first Green Goblin and Harry Osborn plays the second Green Goblin... there was actually 2 more Green Goblins (Dr. Barton Hamilton and Phil Urich). The Hobgoblin is actually a totally different story line as far as character is concerned. There have been 4 Hobgoblins in the history of Spider-Man. Roderick Kingsley was the first, followed by Arnold "Lefty" Donovan, Ned Leeds, Jason Macendale. Macendale was probably the more famous of the four battling it out with Spider-Man and Green Goblin II (Harry Osborn). Then you have Demogoblin which is the demon form of Hobgoblin IV essentially. Yeah, so there you go. You probably won't see the Hobgoblin, or the other Green Goblins in the movies. They are, for all purposes, the same character because they use the same potion to gain the powers of the "Goblin" and they all do the same thing pretty much. So yeah, I'd expect to see Harry playing Green Goblin II in Spider-Man 3 but nothin past that.

Let me go over this senario one more time... You were almost kidnapped, from what seems to be a public place, in front of your friends, and forcefully too. Those usually aren't the way kidnappings are done. Esspecially with someone your age. Usually these would be done somewhere less conspicuous, perhaps an alleyway, woods, etc. Certainly not infront of a large group of friends. Kidnappings usually take place when the persona is alone, or with one other person. And who's gonna forcefully take you in an open public place surrounded by your friends? On top of that, you don't want to get into trouble if you tell the authorities? HELLO! Someone just tried to kidnap you, how are you gonna get in trouble? Also, kidnappings usually are kinda traumatic, and people tend to remember traumatic experiences. If it really happened, you'd see that person's face in your mind every day or every week of every year. How are you not gonna take the time to look at their face/body and how are you not gonna remember it? It's pretty obvious that you're lying. If I was on a jury and I heard this case, I'd assume you were lying. And if you're not lying, the kidnapper and you are both idiots; you for not reporting it and the kidnapper for trying it.
Tell me, why was I not surprised by that post? :P
Why, I have no idea hat you are talking about :p
Overdramatized sequences? I don't remember any scene that was 'overdramatized' between Doc Ock and Spiderman, I'd like to know which you're talking about.
In this instance, I was refering to the overdramatization of the power Doc Oc had. When he got his arms and went to that old shack on the river, he stood on his tentacles and raised his arms up and did that overdramatized laugh/scream of power. Spider-Man also did that when he
tried to stop the train
(I mean the faces lol Come on now) and when the
wall almost fell on MJ
, he yells NOOO and the camera zooms out really quick. I just thought it was rather ridiculous and over dramtaized. I was laughing out loud on those scenes. My boyfriend hit me a few times to tell me to shut up.
Then you complain about a funny sequence that was 'needless'? One, it was showing Peter adjusting to life after
giving up his hero role
and two:it was also FUNNY. Lighten up a little man.
It was slightly funny, I never said it wasn't funny. I said it was needless. This is supposed to be a movie that wants to be taken seriously, but when you keep scenes like that, i simply cannot take this movie as anything serious.
Seriously though, I don't know what you mean by 'confused look' or smirk.
Did you even watch the movie? Through 90% of the movie when they actually showed Tobey Maguire, he had this ridiculous face looking out into nowhere. The other 10% was him smirking when he thought about or saw MJ.
I will agree with you on the park scene, but when
murdering a room of doctors with claws, it isn't exactly quiet. Last time I checked doctors were human.

Yeah but it sounded like an old Friday the 13th movie in there.
The play on all the horror elements also ruined the seriousness of the movie. What doctor just has a chainsaw laying around? Also I'm nott saying the screaming was not needed, I said there was WAY to much of it. None of the male doctors were screaming, only the female ones and it seemed it was just that one.

The ending was a little 'underwhelming' considering all that happened. But it didn't point random things. How was it random? It transitioned between the characters, told what happens with them, and wraps up. Isn't that how all movies end?
Usually a movie ends with one or two points or some sort of closing or they leave you hanging in suspence, usually how they would end a movie they know has a sequel. There were several places they could have ended the movie:
Right after Doc Oc knocks the thing into the river and Spidey and MJ go flying away and maybe even after their talk, though I personally wouldn't have ended it there, it could have been a good closing scene. Also after Harry find the Green Goblin stuff. It could have really done well had it closed there leaving the viewer wondering what is to happen in the 3rd installment. Thats personally where I would have ended it. They also could have ended it right before they actually did, after the "wedding", skipping the scene running through the park ofcourse, and Spidey flying through the air after the police go by. I believe they added a short little extra scene in there I though wasn't needed. But I could be wrong. Or they could have one a litle further and ended it with something else, although that would have been pushing it.

And how else do you expect the characters to act? I don't see why you can't accept that atleast some of the people here had talent. Really though, what's so dreadfully, absolutely horrid about the acting here, why be so overcritical?
Some of the people did have talent. I thought Alfred Molina, J.K. Simmons, and Rosemary Harris did a particularly good job. I loved the character of Doc Oc and I think JJ added some professional and serious comic relief to the movie. Aunt May had a bigger and better role in this movie, as she did in the comics... the mentor of Peter Parker. Tobey Maguire cannot act, Kirsten Dunst was ok at best. But my main beef with the movie is the main character cannot act. In all honestly, Keanu Reeves was better in Matrix than Tobey Maguire is in Spider-Man. I dispised the first one cause i think that it didn't deserve to be the great movie it was. It looked like they pulled actors off the street. This movie was no better in my opinion as far as acting is concerned. I simply cannot see this movie as a serious movie because of that. It was entertaining sure, but it didn't make me believe that i was in this world where Spider-Man fights even villians. Thats what it is supposed to do, and it failed. My advise for Spider-Man 3, either fire or get Tobey Maguire some acting lessons. Or change directors and make him act. Keep the Special effects people who worked on Doctor Octopus, cause that was some great CG, make sure the people who did the FX on Spidey don't slack off, cause there were a few times in there I though Spider-Man looks a little too cartoony/poorly done for me. And fire the editor. The editing sucked in this movie as well. I would also like to see more of Doctor Connors and deffinantly more of Hal Sparks lol, but the Hal Sparks won't happen. Cameos by Daredevil would be nice, as well as the Sinister Six. Spider-Man 3 will either have the Green Goblin and/or the Sinister Six, Rhino, or Venom/Carnage in it. I would be disspointed with Rhino, but the other 2 would be nice. It was an entertaining movie, good plot, great super-villian. But it just lacked in some essential parts. But if they want me to take this franchise serious, they need to get some real actors.
-
Two words can describe the best part of this movie HAL SPARKS Other than the fact Hal Sparks had a cameo, this movie blew goat nuts. Over dramatized scenes (By Spider-man and Doc Oc), needless scenes (like MJ running through the little park in the dress... WTF was that? Or when they visit the grave of Ben, or that whole scene where Peter seemingly trips and falls three times followed by the walk of confidence, completely irrelevent) and could someone please get Tobey Maguire some acting lessons, jesus. I didn't know why he looked so confused for half the movie before I realized thats his normal face.... he could try to open his mouth more when he talks or perhaps smile instead of that stupid smirk he keeps making. Hal Sparks was by far the best actor in this movie, and he had less than a minute of film time. The acting was horrid in the first movie, it didn't get any better this time. I must say though, the fight scene between Spider-Man and Doc Oc on the train was one of the best fight scenes in any movie I've seen. The ending kinda sucked too. It's like they couldn't decide where to end the thing. So they just flipped through and pointed randomly and said here. The addition of Dr. Connors was a nice touch though. People not familiar with Spider-man will not have realized that. Oh and one more thing....
the whole... um horror scene involving Doc Oc when he is in the hospital.... WAY overdone. Could the screaming stop, i mean seriously, I didn't know someone could scream so much.
Yeha, i don't mean to be mean or anything, but some of you need a life lesson. SHouldn't you be like going to the movies or hangin out at the mall or playing video games or something and not worrying about boys or if you'll ever have a boyfriend? It's so annoying seeing these topics about 13 year olds crying over some stupid crap like boyfriends and girlfriends and how crappy they think their life is. Well it gets worse, so you misewell stop crying about it. Another life lesson in todays world is that people care about by what group you hang out and what you look like. Very rare do you find someone who cares for you for who you are and not who you're pretending to be. High School and middle school is nothing but pretend. People are always what they aren't and when they get into the real life, you get a swift kick in the butt about what life really is. SO it's quirte worthless to even worry about going out with anyone now, cause most likely, they are nothing but fakes. You'll end up breaking up with them anyway, so why waste your time. Go play video games, or dolls or whatever it is you do that doesn't involve guys, sex, kissing, or dating. You'll get a boyfriend eventually, maybe.... but there's no reason to even be thinking about it now.

You can submit fanart by just going to the upload page and uploading it to whereever. A scanner is only used to make a digital image of something that is scanned. If you have an actual picture and you want to make it a digital picture, you'd have to use a scanner among other things. But you certian;y don't need a scanner to submit fanart, the two have nothing to do with each other. Anyway, this should go in Suggestions and feedback or something other than this forum.
Hey can you tell me how to do the David Blaine Levitation trick please.
It's an angle of visualization trick. He never actually lifts both feet off the ground. The camera angles you see on TV are edited in and done on a closed stage in order to draw some affect to the magic.. It's magic, it's all tricks, there's always some way to do it, but the whole idea is that it's incredibly amazing to witness.

The Blair Witch Project was filmed by filmmakers from UCF, my school, and some of the footage shot was shot here in Orlando and it's surrounding area as well as Maryland. It's a movie, why would anything on it be real? Unless specifically said, based on real events, you must assume what you are watching is a work of fiction and not something real. I thought this was common knowledge. Apparently theres enough idiots out there that actually can believe what they see on a movie screen. Those of the type of people you should probably stay away from. If you cannot differentiate between movie and real life, then you need some help.
Hmmmm... Maybe I should've added this to my response: "Try being un-gay. Worked for me." I'm gay too, I know about these things.
Have I ever told you how much I love you? lol Um, I went through all of highschool never telling my parents I was gay. I didn't tell them till I got into college. I didn't go to prom either. Or any dance for that matter, it just wasn't my thing, and my parents never presured me about it. I wasn't about to pay $60 a ticket for some crappy dance that most people go to to get laid. Anyway, judging from her type of question and the way you make it seem she asked it, I would say she wouldn't care too much if you were gay. She may be in shock... denial, whatever.... that wears off. My boyfriend's mom went through the same thing, but now she's really cool with it and her and I get along great actually. As far as telling your step-dad, thats entirely up to you and your mom if you tell her. You could ask her to keep it to herself for the time being, thats what I asked my mom to do. Then i just told my dad and brother the next day. ANyway, point is, its your life, you do what you want. Youhave to realize, no mater what your parents think it's not their life to control who you like or don't like. It's just too bad for them that they aren't God I guess, maybe they forgot that. I know lots of gay guys that went to prom with girls as friends... or not at all. Just tell her you don't want to go, period. Whats she gonna do, force you to dress up and force you to go? I don't think so. Till then, just go with the flow, thats life.
If I was a parent and my son told me he was gay, I would be fine with it. But he sure as hell wouldn't get another penny from me. I'd invite him to move out on his 18th birthday, and ask that he never contact me again. I'd never stop loving my son, but I could not in any way justify to myself supporting a bad choice (or even, if you think it isn't a choice, bad genes).
Because essentially kicking him out of your house and telling him you never want to speak to him again is being totally fine with it isn't it? You're what we in the real world like to call an idiot. Science lesson: Homosexuality is neither choice nor heriditary, therefor the option of choice and genes do not exist, it simply is. Just as the sky is blue and you are an idiot, it just is. You can also get off your high horse, because the way you explain yourself is as if you believe that you are better than others. You're not, and it's quite obvious you're not through your arrogance and ignorance.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Sequel?
Transtic Nerve replied to mononoke_man's topic in Noosphere
The Spirtis Within was a great movie. Just so many of yo weird FF liker people had this weird obsession thinking that it would have something to do with the games, when in fact it was it's own story, then you all got upset and cried over it. I despise FF games, with the exception of Crystal Chronicles, but the movie was great. I even own it on DVD and that says much cause I don't own DVDs unless the movie was really good to me. Anyway, I suppose that doesn't corrospond witht he topic so much. Oh well. -
Or Snape is just kinda creepy and totally straight anyway. It wouldn't work. Harry could choose someone much better looking anyway. And thats how it goes. Gay guys have much better decision making skills than to choose some creepy old guy. End of argument, you're both wrong
Then there's Quentin Tarantino. Not QT the director, but QT the man. I saw him on American Idol, and for once Randy wasn't the most incoherent and Paula wasn't the most idiotic. It was insane; the man talked and talked and talked as if he were an expert when it came to vocal performance, but it was quite clear that he knew nothing at all.
He talked about that on like Conan or something and he admitted he knew nothing at all about the how vocals are done and what not and in order to sound somewhat knowledgable he BSed his way through it. I thought it was more funny than stupid.

Whoever that republican is who blamed 9/11 on "homosexuals" and other "sinners."... yeah that was pretty stupid. GWB has had his moments, but he's not a great speaker, so sometimes what he says doesn't quite come out like he thought. "There's an old saying in Texas that goes... fool me once.... uhh.... fool me once... then... ummm But don't fool me twice." lol that was probably the funniest thing I've ever heard him say. I can't stand to hear Jessica Simpsons talk. She hurts my brain. Sometimes you just wanna ask her to bend over and stick her face out so you can just whack her with a shovel. Anna Nicole Smith is annoying at best. Her son is pretty cute though. Oh yeah, and that guy here on OB that said "Bi-Hydro Oxide." Yeah what a way to ruin a joke completely.

I never understood cutting. I cannot figure why anyone, in their right mind, would actually cut themselves. Now I believe everyone has the potential to be smart, but with stuff like cutting, thats just f-ing stupid. I don't care how messed up in the head you are, you should be able to relate "cutting" to "pain" and "pain" to "bad." which is obviously never good, therefor WHY DO IT? It doens't accomplish anything. I've had chronic depression since I was 13, I know what it's like to be depressed, but I went to a therapist, I never cut myself. You know what you need to do. You need to take her to a therapist, or have her mom do it (whatever) and make sure she friggin stays there. If she can't do that, you should yell at her for being a stupid moron, and then if she still doesn't get it, abandon all hope and HER. Maybe she'll understand how dumb she was then.
Economy: Bush has a plan, Kerry does not.
Correction, Bush has a BAD plan, Kerry has no plan. I'd take a possibility for a good plan over an already proven bad plan.
War: I don't like the war, but it gives USA credibility, thus I'm for it. Kerry has no plan for the war.
Correction, Kerry has no plan to continue war.
Education: Bush has a plan, Kerry does not.
Again, a bad plan. A plan that hasn't worked so far, what makes you think it's gonna work in the next 4 years? The US is still ranked way below what is considered "the greatest country ever."
A strong man with a plan?
Correction, a weak man with a bad plan.
Or a loser who can do nothing but throw insults to win?
Maybe you should look at the current presidents campaign and tell me who else is throwing insults. Oh yeah, don't forget to look at yourself for those issults. Seems to be a quality of all republicans. You know, you could have just posted them all in the same post.... Just because they are long doesn't mean you can triple post
-
First of all, it's quite accurate. Sure, it takes a few liberties (the most notable one being that the war does not last 10 years in it; not even close),
I must say this really quick. Maybe I didn't read this right, but it seems like your saying the war didn't last 10 years. But it did. If you're comparing to what Homer wrote in the Illiad, he started his story in the 10th year of the war. The Trojan war is also referred to as the Ten-Year War. I'm sorry for just bursting in like that lol. On that note I want to go see this movie and probably will sometime soon.

I made a new banner for .hack This is for the new release of the dubbed .hack//LEGEND OF THE TWILIGHT series coming out on the 25th to DVD. It's a great series and deals with game legends Kite and Black Rose. It's really good, so watch it any hope you like the banner.
