Like one of my friends said, (in the same topic, differnet place) age is just a number, but depending on who you are, what you want, and how you act, it may matter greatly. Maturity seems to be a big deal, esspecially with people who are 17-18 dating 14-15 year olds. My parents are 4 years apart, my mom met my dad when she was 17 or 16 or something like that. She was married at 18 and they have been together ever since. Thats a case where it worked out, many times it doesn't. They are lucky. My boyfriend is 2 and a half year younger than I am. He is 17, I'm almost 20. My ex was 3 years younger, but he was more mature than any 16 year old I knew. He grew up in England and you seem to mature faster there it seems, well most of the time. lol I've seen some of you crazy English lol. Anyway, yeah. It really depends. If you're 14, I don't believe you need to be dating a 30 year old... and so on and so on.

Or maybe you can just learn the math and not be another stupid kid... -
Originally posted by super goku Yeah i have noticed thats they do sound the same, from the eps i have aquired from the net (i live in the UK, we are very limited). BTW Nats, Pilaf appears in Dragonball not Dragonball GT
I do believe Pilaf is also in GT. Is he not the one that ends up wishing for Gokou to become a kid again or whatever he actually wished for?

I'm still at my first job... for almost 2 years... it will be in 3 months. Now, don't mix that up with liking the job, because I don't really, it just has the flexablility I need for full time schooling as well.

Why do you like American cartoons... exactly... same reason we like anime... now go on...

LP released a remix album because all you fans couldn't wait for a new album, so they made one. Basically to shut some of you up for a while so they could get to work on some new stuff. I really couldn't tell you if this new album would be good, because simply, I haven't heard any songs from it. When I hear their single, I'll tell you if it lives up to some stuff on Hybrid Theory.
Originally posted by REVENGE2 Actually, Vegeta's name by itself isn't the pun. It's that Bulma sometimes calls him Vegi. As in 'eat up all youe vegies!". And Ginyu isn't milk - it's ginuu.
Ginyu is the English was of saying Ginuu, it's essentially pronounced the same, with the exception of the Ya sound. They are supposed to be puns, not exact copies of the word, which is why Vegita is Vegita and Vegi. Vegita's name has the pun, the full name may not be a pun. Oolong I believe is a pun on some type of underwear. Since oolong has this facination with underwear. And yes, DragonBall the anime pretty much follows the Manga to par. So does DBZ for the most part, besides like the Garlic Jr Saga and the likes.

Probably, it's like that alot in DB/Z and soon to be GT. FUNimation only has like 15 voice actors... probably less, so it would be impossible, and rather stupid, to have a different voice actor for every single character. Like Chris Sabat who plays Vegita also does Piccolo and about 15 other characters. Sean Shemell who does Gokou also does King Kai and Nail and various other characters. And if you're talking about the Japanese version, the same applies.

The only people I really consider friends are people I've known for a fairly long time. (like a year or more) Which means I don't have many "friends"... i have a few people online which I continue to talk to and know personally for well over a year, it's be almost 3 years soon I've known some of them. And I've got my best friend, his girlfriend, my other good friend and his girlfriend and my boyfriend who are the closest to me. I have like... 2 or 3 good friends that I don't see on a regular basis. I trust those people with my life. No one else. I've learned I can't trust anyone untill I know absolutely I can.

How odd, the question eith me always seems to be cut or uncut lol THAT was a joke.... Anyway, ofcourse alot of people base their opinions on people on looks. Other on personality, others on whatever. It all depends on the person really and their own ego. You'r enot less of a person because someone thinks you are.

American society and what it stands for is completely phony.

Our school had like... none of what half of you all talked about... We had: Hicks: Thre's this sity that is pridominantly hicks that feeds into my old High School. So naturally, you got everyone from there hangin' around with each other. Black/African American: Hey, the brotha's and the sista's like to hang around with each other, what more can I say? The White Kids: (lol) Then like everyone else kind of mingled in with each other. Hell everyone mingled in with everyone, except the hicks most of the time. No one really associated themselves with them all that much. You had the preppys. but they were always hangin around with the black guys or talkin to this person or that person. You had the "nerds." But then again, even they seperated themselves from each other. Yes, two groups of nerds... the really weird nerds, who associated themselves with the REALLY small Goth population and the semi-nerds who associated themselves with everyone else. Yeah I think my school is pretty diverse and accpeting. Or at least was. Dunno bout it now, haven't been in almost 2 years.

Yes there was the possibility of another Cell to come around... And like you said, he'd be easily killed off. Which is why it wasn't written into the story.
-
He has been popular with other series... EVer heard of Chrono Trigger? Albeit, not a series, but a game. Still very popular. He did a few other games as well. And Dr. Slump was and still is rather popular. That was a manga and an anime I do believe. Just because people in America seem to only notice Dragonball, doesn't mean he's not popular for other things elsewhere. Alot of people don't even know about Dr. Slump or that he did Chrono Trigger... and I think he did DragonQuest or whatever those series of games were called. Knowledge equals recognition.

I have this strange thing between my legs. I think it's call a penis. Yes, anyway, I dunno where it came from or what t's doing there. This is so bizzare! lol -
I'm talking about the Japanese one. The English one butchered it up because the joke wouldn't make sense in English. What happened was: ChiChi and her father were trying to stop Gohan from crying and trying to pick a name. Gokou was there too I think. Anyway, everytime Gokou would say a name Gohan would cry. So finally ChiChi's dad said something like "Maybe he's hungry, lets get him some lunch (obviously in Japanese he said "lets get him some gohan" not in that way, but making it easier to understand in this case) and Gohan stopped crying. And then Gokou, in his genious, mentioned the word gohan and I think brung up his grandfather and said something like "he likes Gohan, like my grandfather, he likes the name gohan!" but all in all, it was because ChiChi's father had said something about lunch, not about Gokou's grandpa that made Gohan stop crying and ultimately give him his name.
-
yes, Pan means bread.... in many languages.... including Japanese. Gohan can also mean "meal" or "lunch" or whatever the like. WHich is why the announcer during the Cell Saga thought Gohan was a delivery boy... and also how Gohan got his name. (Chichi and her father wanted to go get lunch and they said gohan and Gohan stopped crying and laughed) Every name in DBZ is a pun to some extent I do believe. Not just the Saiya-jin.

It is what Jinzoningen said. I actually didn't realize this at first till someone here pointed it out to me. But yeah, just like with any alternate dimention, where there's one there's another and another and another. Each universe has an alternate of itself untill it eventually goes around in circles. You saw the TV show Sliders or the move The One right? Same concept. Anyway, 3 alternate universes exist, or are shown, in DBZ. The "normal" one where Gokou is our hero and the one the show bases itself off of. Future Trunk's, the one the Trunks TV special is based off of and the one where Future Trunks comes from when he lands and kills Furiiza. If you remember, Trunks does travel back to his time (or so it seemed) and killed the Cell who there (which tells you right there, the Cell that was focused on in the series DID NOT come from Future Trunks' time) Then you have the big mean Cell who become perfect blah blah blah. We dunno what universe he's from, all you know he had to de-evolve or something and traveled here in Trunks' time machine. So yeah, your theory is not correct. The Cell who we see as a main bad guy inthe DBZ series did not come from Future Trunks' time. The answer: C) There are 3 time lines shown in the DBZ series. * Focus on that bold statement, that contains the missing information that you should probably know.

England's going to the pits? Blasphemy! I love England. Hell I'm going to put a british flag on my car... probably an Aussie one too if I ever find one of them lol Take it from me, a person who has been and technically still is clinically depressed (I used to take prozac if that tells you anything) Sometimes you don't know why you feel depressed or in a bad mood. hell if you have severe mood swings, you might have Bi-polar, although I'm not one to diagnose anything. Little itty bitty things will bother me the most alot of times. I guess it's part of life. had to learn to deal with it and I have for the most part. I just got over alot of things that had been happening to me. Give it time, you'll feel better.

My friend got some issues, but I personally haven't. But Shonen Jump is always a lead to what becomes great manga and possibly great anime.
