This is just a curious topic for me. I was wondering if anyone here has, is, or would be willing to date someone, regardless of gender, who is outside their race. Or maybe someone who has a different cultural background. My brother is getting married in 7 months to a Puerto Rican girl, who I have nothing against (she gave birth to my beautiful neice, however not the only reason that I like her), and their values and culture is hugely differnet than mine or my families. It's not a abd thing, for I always love learning about new culture and people, but it's just weird. My brother plans on having like...25 people from our side of the family at his wedding... she plans on having 200... I was like... "say what now?" ::faint:: My boyfriend is from England and that culture is also somewhat different, although not so much. He may not be of a different race, but it's still a different culture and it's still having to deal with something different. So I was wondering if anyone here has had to deal with a culture shock or if you've dated/dating a person of different race, how does it differ from your own values and culture and how do you deal with it.

Some words have several different meanings depending on how they are used and alot of "ancient" meanings as well. Otaku used for "you" and "house" are not used in great depth anymore, and when refering to anime, Otaku means the nerd/geek meaning.

The show had two sides to it. The first half was basically development of Vash's character in the freindly, humorous kind of way. The first few shows definantly bring out the funny aspects of Vash's life and attitde, while the second half of the show drives deep into his heart and mind to find his true past and true feelings. It becomes very serious and tends to lose that humorous aspect it once had. I do appreciate both parts. I believe because it was done that way, it added alot to the series. Different views on the same character give a series alot of depth and feeling. Deffinantly a good job.

I think it would take away from the artistic look of the board... I mean, the board is obviously color coordinated and to add text bg color, people would ocme up with alot of things... bright pink would not look good all over the place on this board... i don't see a high want for it nor do I see any reason to have it other than to please the few people who might use it.

The top banner shouldn't stretch an 800x600 resolution too much... the banner itself is only 761 pixels wide... anyway... I'm using it so I like it.. but... who knows... the other one was easier to read (font bigger, usernames bold, etc) while this one will take some time to get used to.

Elvis is real music... unlike half the crap you find today. How does one NOT like Elvis, I mean... you don't have to prefer his style of music, but i find it hard that you find it absolutely repulsive then you go out to listen to groups that are loud punk/metal... yeah there's an irony for ya. Try Sevendust, who actually have good rythem and good vocals. Godsmack. Just don't slip into that Slipknot whole that so many people fall into. I wasn't lowering anyone. I simply stated that the kid was 12, and that we shouldn't expect anything, or well should expect a mistake like that. Then I said we shouldn't allow kids on the internet. That itself is a personal feeling not backed up by the sole fact they may or may not be stupid. I just don't think Kids have any place on the internet. If the GI Joe commercial on TV has to tell you "Kids ask your parents before signing on the internet" then I'm sorry, you don't need to be here. When I was 12 I didn't have the internet. I was playing basketball or playing video games. It's the kids that make the mistakes and do many other things that prevent freedoms for me on the net. I mean, James has gotten compalints from little Jimmy or Sussy's parents because they went to this board and saw the dreaded "D" word or whatever. Thats ridiculous. Parents like that need to keep their kids off the internet if they don't want them seeing that stuff. That was a FUNi mistake, since obviously Buu hadn't absorbed Vegita yet. They never get their attack names right anyway....
