How many of you have seen or even knew about the DBZ OAV. I've had it for a while, but I never actually got around to watching it till now. I thought it was interesting and I wonder why not alot of people know about this. I wonder if FUNi even knows about this and if they do, if they'll dub it. Anyway, for those of you who have seen it, what did you think? Interesting plot, kind of drawn out though. It's just like all the other movies. The Saiya-jins have to stop some guy who comes back to get revenge (I'm not going to ruin the story for those of you who haven't seen it) blah blah blah... It's also refered to as the "Lost Movie" but it's not really lost, it's just a 3 part OAV

The only map I know of looks nothing like Earth. It has 5 islands around a central island (which to my knowledge is a valcano) As far anything else goes... i think there's a map of the solar system used floating around the net somewhere, I believe I've seen it. but not one of the earth.

I didn't mean free world as in everyone is free, I meant it as in without boundries. But yeah, just like democracy and capatalism, ofcourse it has drawbacks. A few things really quick. I don't understand how a progressive income tax means forcefully taking your money. Progressive taxing is taking more tax from people who make more money. The rich pay more tax, the poor pay less. It's actually ingenious if you think about it. Why make the poor poorer and the rich richer when we can make them equal. And I do think of everything in a utopian world if it's something that could have happened. I know communism can't work in our world, so I have to think of how it would work in a world where it was just introduced and followed. If I thought of how it would work in our world today, I wouldn't have any argument. Anyway, I just needed to say that. Communism isn't meant to be a free government. It's meant to be a controled government. I really don't think we both need to go any further into this. You know what I'm saying and I know what you are saying and I suppose our different views don't plan to change.
Originally posted by gokents communism doesnt work.In the end, it defeats itself.
The communism we see today isn't true communism. There hasn't been a true communism. Karl Marx's communism DOES work, but you have to have the right leader. Having dictators like Stalin, Xu Min (however you spell that) and Castro, will eventually lead no where. I think communism would work best over all in a free world. No one thought capalism would work either till America pulled it off. But true communism isn't what you see in China or Cuba today. True communism is a really good idea in thought and if done right, it would be a really good idea in action. No one seems to have done it that way though.

I've studied some Buddhism in Mythology and Humanities. But I've never gone in depth in my study. On a side note, you're only allowed one image in your signature. Please remove one, or it will place you on grounds for banning.
Originally posted by gokents Oh yea, trans nerve, those people werent protesting just for what you said, some may have been. But if your protesting for that reason, then what the hell would they be supporting "the peoples army" for. (thats the vietnamesse for you unfarmiliar with communist talk.) Look at jane fonda posing with n.v. on their artillary pieces and honestly tell me it was about the draft. Even more amazing, a republican got the vietnam war to end and a democrate got it to start, so what were the hippies doing affiliating themselves specifically with democrates.
I understand some people were rather rational and complete and outright rude when it came to the soldiers who came back from the war. I don't support that kind of behaivor. I am mearly refering to the thousand of people who did their peaceful protests. They burned their draft cards or their flags and they left. They spoke their message and they left it at that. I don't think party affiliation had anything to do with ending or starting the war in Vietnam. America was too cocky, and still is, when it came to communism back them. I mean, we were doing ridiculous things (Just look at the McCarthy era) to "stop" communism from spreading. Like it was a disease. America finally wised up and said "why are we doing this?" and I don't think it would have mattered one bit whether or not a republican or democrat was in office at the time, the war was coming to an end.
Originally posted by gokents Hey trans nerve, What are your top 3 dbz movies?
Well I can't put them in any order from favorite to least favorite so I'll just group them all together. Utmost Limits of Battle!! The Three Super Saiya-jin - The Android Movie (7) Burn Your Spirits to the Max!! Close Battle, Violent Battle, Super Bloody Battle - First Brolli Movie (8) The Galaxy is in Danger!! The Super Awesome Guy! - Bojack Movie (9) The Rebirth of Fusion!! Gokou and Vegita - Fusion Movie (12) Dragon Fist Explosion!! If Gokou Can't Do It, No One Can - Tapion Movie (13) I understand thats 5, but I can't pick any one favorite. Or 3 for that matter. But as you can see, "Clash!! 10 Billion Power Warriors" is not there.
Originally posted by Mystic's Knight Yes, Dj Sammy, in my opinion is a fairly decent artist. However, the music is too ...ugh..I think its too upbeat, not unique enough, not compared to some, dont you agree Krys?
It's dance music, it has to be upbeat. If it wasn't it wouldn't be dance music lol. I know it's quite different from traditional trance music. It's a little happy. At least thats the feeling I get from it. Happy music makes Chris happy.

I hope some of you realize that "punk kids" that burn the flag to protest the country is BECAUSE their rights were taken away. The whole deal behind burning the flag to protest war was because of the draft. People felt that they have a free choice NOT to participate in the war and that right was being taken away, so they burned the flag to basically say "This land is no longer free for me." And you are all being stereotypical of hippies. I don't go around saying you're all internet geeks with glasses and no life because you post on an Anime board, so it's probably better you don't generalize like that. Hippies and people dopped up on drugs wearing tie-die colors are two different things. I don't think people burn the flag because they hate the country they live in, although I'm sure theres a small percentage that do that. People normally do it to protest something that they think has taken away the value and morals that America stands for, usually done by the government or someone in high power.
Originally posted by Jinzouningen17 Koola{that's how you say it in Japanese}are fighting).
Actually, if you want to be technical, it's Kuraa. Anyway, I actually liked The Metal Kooler movie as oppsed to the first Kooler movie. I dunno why, probably because I didn't like the Furiiza saga, and the first Kooler movie was just like that sags wrapped up in a movie. Metal Kooler had better animation and a rather interesting plot. However, neither of them rank up on my top 3 or whatever DBZ movies.

Now I'm sure some of you, if not all or most of you have heard Heaven by DJ Sammy (which is a remake) I was wondering if any of you actually went out to get his album. I got it last night and I really like it. Its actually quite a break through as far as dance music is concerned. This is like one of the first trance/dance albums I've seen at retail stores like Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart. Dance music isn't that big a hit in America yet so those type of stores tend to only carry the popular rap/rock/pop stuff. I suppose the overwhelming popularity of Heaven has made them look twice. I just hope it can continue with more than just DJ Sammy. So anyway, if you've heard or have the album, what do you think? And what do you think of Trance/Dance music jumping up in the ranks of American music? It's about time, seeing as how the rest of the world has been with it the last 10 years. (except Japan, who had their dance revolution within the last year or so)
Originally posted by gokents I also wanna say that, as much as I may oppose flag burning, it is allowed. I really dislike all who do it, but that is also allowed.
You, sir, are a very smart person. I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows that it's not illegal to burn the flag. I had this debate about... a year ago or so where I had all these punk kids telling me it was illegal to burn the American flag. I had to explain to them, however morally wrong it may be to burn your own countries flag or how wrong they make think it is, it's still legal. Oh well, I'm glad at least some people know our constitution. Regarding the topic at hand. If you wanna burn the flag, I don't really care. If I got all upset about it and tried to stop it, I wouldn't be a very good American. As an American I have the obligation to respect the rights of fellow Americans no matter how wrong I think what they are doing is. Remember, they have just as much rights as you do.

FUNimation isn't as bad as you make them out to be. I in no way support FUNi and their plan to take over the world, but they do put this stuff on AMERICAN TV for kids. There are high amount of limits they must ablige by. That really isn't their fault. Blame it on the government.

I think some of you are making nothing into something way more than it should be. I really don't think anyone really gives half a rat's *** whether or not the Newbie Lounge is there or not. I don't see enough discussional intelligent topics going into that forum for it to matter for anything. The only reason I see a need for it is because I am tired of seeing post after post of "Hi I'm new" in the General Lounge. We need some place to dump those useless topics. Since posts don't count, and nothing highly important goes into that forum i really don't see a need to get rid of it nor to keep it. So why not just leave things the way they are. No need to go wacko over a section like the Newbie Lounge. Save it for something highly more important. Like me :p Or other more active intelligent forums.

1) Every guy is afraid of rejection. Don't worry, you're very normal in that aspect. 2) It is true that asking a firned out can sometime hinder or ruin a freindship, lets say if she says no, or even if she says yes and then later on it doesn't work out. But if you genuinely care, then it won't. I have remained friends and am on good terms with all but one of my ex boyfriends. Why? Because I still care for them as friends, plus i hate the fact someone would dislike me for such a reason. If you care, it won't bother your relationship whether it be friend or more. 3) There's ways to go about actually asking her. It depends what you know about whta she thinks about you. You seem pretty confident that she would say yes, if such a question were asked, so I say just ask it. You can go simple and fast or slow and easy. Simple and fast would be just to flat out ask her out. Go "Hey I really like you and I was wondering if.. blah blah blah" or something like that. Or easy and slow would be to ask her to a movie. Or to lunch or something. Or maybe just to hang out as friends. Then from there she may get the hint and become more comfortable then you ask her. It provides a more stable situation at least from my knowledge and view. Remember though, it's not going to be easy. Nothing is anymore. Take your time, do it at your own pace, and it'll eventually happen when you decide to do it whatever way you do. And if she says no, there's plenty other qualified single women out there.

Although it is possible you are a girl, so whats the deal?
Gackt doesn't wear his hair like that out in public. At least not anymore, I don't think he did back then either.
