Anime Power Level Charts, common multimedia...
Transtic Nerve replied to Kneeko Artilles's topic in Otaku Central
Any power level chart after the Trunks saga is just a guess, as you probably know, and no one should really pay attention because uite frankly, the reason they got rid of them is because no one cares. Power Levels are pretty stupid... why bother watching a fight between loser 2 and loser 2 when you already know loser 2 will win because his power level is more. Boring.... -
Threads that ask for pictures are going to be closed. We rather you put some work into a dicussion, not just "hey, do you have a pic of ____ and _____"... Kneeko Artilles, your sig image is too big... please read the rules to get the correct size for an image.

A comic strip called "Dragon Boy" was first introduced into Comic Book, made by the famous Jump Weekly/Monthly, called Fresh Jump. Go figure. This was made in October of 1983. The story revolves around a guy named Tanton, who doesn't look like Goku, but the inital story is the same. He actually puts alot of these scenes into DragonBall later on. Like the scene where Goku says to Bulma "you have no balls"... originally it was in the Dragon Boy strip. Toriyama did another manga called Topuu's Great Adventure which is sort of similar to DragonBall Z. This deals with the space aspect or science fiction aspect of what we see in DragonBall. The idea of putting large items in little capsules stems from this series. Dr. Slump was the first major manga by Toriyama was first published in Januray of 1980 in Shounen Jump (Shounen meaning a boy's anime, unlike Sailor Moon) and ended in 1984. The TV series for Slump aired in 1981 and went til' 1986. With that over, Toriyama did a new manga, DragonBall. This first appeared in November of 1984 in the Shounen Jump. I'm not quite sure when it ended. The DragonBall TV series began in February of 1986 and DragonBall Z started in April of 1989. Remember that unlike the TV series, the manga was never called DragonBall Z. It was always called DragonBall. The TV series was split into two different names, i dunno why. Three if you count DBGT, but that was never a manga. I hope that answers your questions, it gives a bigger look on the situation too. No I didn't know all of this off the top of my head, I had to do some research, but it's good to know this stuff too, now you can impress your friends.

there are some absolute horrid toys out there today. I don't remember any off the top of my head, but if you watch Cartoon Network for about an hour, you can see a whole bunch.

Well I dunno about straight men, but gay guys have friends. Because well... we act more like women, so we don't fall under how a "man" thinks. But I have friends... and I have FRIENDS... I have about 5 FRIENDS and about a million friends... so yeah. I do, however, fail to see the difference between a companion and a friend. I suppose a companion would like.. go on journeys with you, when a friend wouldn't. I guess a companion would be better in my thinking. But yeah... I trust only a few people... I associate myself with many more.

I've watched every episode of CSI since the beggining. One of the few who weren't hooked after the 10th episode. And I watched the Miami one... it was probably one of the better shows I've seen. Very good. The whole series is good.

Japan has a group called "Das Vasser".... that is all.

You will see me contantly spell it "alot" and "ofcourse" knowing perfectly well that they are incorrect spellings...

No offense, but if I wanted to know anything about any religion, I'm not gonna ask a kid, or anyone who isn't at least running a church. I don't trust kids and religion because they almost never understand it to the full extent it's meant to be.... hell even adults never understand it like it should be, thats why we have the Christian Coallition.... bunch of idiots who don't know their own religion.
Originally posted by Bunni_Chan Whoa, thats embarrassing, and after I just ranted and raved about good grammar too.
Well, Grammar and spelling are two different things. I have this thing about Grammar too (despite my constant capitalization of grammar) but I can't spell perfectly and often typo and misspell alot of complicated words. (isn't a lot two words?)

Other cultures than American, for a change...
Transtic Nerve replied to Sandy's topic in General Discussion
Probably the reason we don't get talk about more cultures (ie: European, other than Britain, and the likes) is because we don't have any or many people from that area. Like, only a few of us talk abotu Japanese culture, but most of us are from America, England, or Aussie-ville. So yeah... -
I do believe there's an option to change your name yourself... whether or not it's active to users I don't know...

Help w/relationship.(long story)
Transtic Nerve replied to GhostofSalvtore's topic in General Discussion
Ok, you just turned 16... And you only knew her for a few weeks. Thats just about the right amount of time for "testing" a relationship. My thoughts, from my experiences, would be that she is afraid to hurt you and suggested the break for whatever reasons. I also think she figured you'd get the "hint" and be gone with it. I doubt she expected you to be so attached to her. Here's what i suggest. You've not known her that long. I mean, it's been a few month or whatever. You've been going out with her for less than a month. You're young. You have so much to look forward to, don't waste you time obsessing over what was not meant to be. -

I think it was a very odd decision to cast Robin Williams as a mad man, in this case a very dramatical role. But in a way, it was a good choice. Not just for Robin WIlliams himself, but for the whole ideal of the movie. A guy known for his humor playing a completely dramatic role in a movie which is an oddball in itself. Shows different ranges ofthe really good actors. Precisely why you'll never see Pauly Shore in a drama. Anyway, haven't seen it, probably won't anytime soon.
Originally posted by Wing Gundam I don't listen to the music? Me? And once again people did I say the music was dead? I just said the scene is dead.Don't judge me or tell me what music i do or do not listen to as you do not know me, please shut your mouth and go eat some cookies.
Ok, thats quite enough of this senseless bickering. Telling me a music genre is dead is like saying humans don't exist. Eminem said in one of his songs "Nobody listens to techno".... to him, perhaps this is true, but more people listen to techno than they do his music. I can garauntee that. All of Europe and Russia (China too very soon), and Japan are in a techno movement. Thats more than half the world right there that have techno played and listened to on a constant basis, where as Eminem has his music listened to... here.... and maybe a little in Europe and various other places, but not near as much. This applys to your sense as well. You obviously don't know about the "scene" or know enough about the music to say a movement is dead. Hell the Greatful Dead still have a movement and they haven't been around 30 years. I don't listen to punk, I don't dress punk, I'm not in the scene, but I have enough friends that are to know the scene is far from dead. In fact it's rather big right about now, which is EXACTLY why Avril Lavine is dressing like she is. She dresses punk, some people like that (who may also be "punk") and wham, she has new listeners. People don't throw an image that is "dead" in the music industry. It's bad business. Thats why you don't see hair bands or men with makeup and women's clothes anymore like you did in the 80s. It's bad business. No one's gonna buy your crap is you look like Twisted Sister here. You can watch Conan O'Brein and see that punk isn't dead. He consistantly has "no-name" bands on the show (punk or not) All in all, it's awefully stupid to argue whether or not any music is good or bad or any music scene is dead or alive. It's always gonna be there. It's been there majorly since the Sex Pistols in the 60s and it'll be there till we evolve and no longer have ears, whether or not you believe it. Topic is now closed.

You're right, music isn't all just about money, and I neevr said it was. To some people, like Eminem, it's all about the money. But you cannot sit here and tell me that alot of bands aren't made because they or their record company want the big bucks. What appeals to people is what sells. What appeals to people more than a sexy chick with 4 guys who sings a mix of pop and rock? Apparently nothing because she's makin the big bucks making music the majority will listen to. She could make absolute **** and guess what, people will listen. You don't need talent in the music industry anymore. You need looks and you need promotion.... Thats all, just ask Britney Speares. Why do you think we have a TON Of rappers all at the same time? Or a ton of boy bands. You think these people just waltz out of the closet at the same time? Ofcourse not. They are led out by these big record companies to appeal to the masses of loser fans who have nothing better to do than waste their time and oney on crap. The only bands now-a-days who do everything for the love of music and for their personal enjoyment are indie bands and people not considered "pop". I don't really care, this isn't the point. The point is that you shouldn't care about a group, band, person to whom will make whatever they please to please whoever they can and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
