Originally posted by SSJ Gotenks ok And i dont exactly aggre with that. Iv'e been smoking weed for about 3 years now and i have never got the urge to do another drug seeing how it messes up people's live's.I dont smoke cigarrettes because they smell and whats tha point of smoking tobacco and i dont drink alchol i feel that weed tends to lead to eating more food and thats it. But thats just me :D
There's nothing to agree with.... It's a FACT... I even stated it "tends to..." key word is "tends"... which means it does and it doesn't. Maybe not in your case, but in many others it does. You can't speak from your own personal experience... you have to speak from knowledge of a whole. Lady M... I've tried weed before... didn't care for it, never did it again. But I've seen what it did to one of my long time friends. It f-ed him up really bad. Now I don't need to "knock it before I try it"... I can just take one look at my friend and go "I'm never gonna do that crap"... and I'll be damned if I don't knock it again and again.... You think my friend likes to be stupid? DO you think he likes ot be in jail?... You think he likes to have a habbit that is hard for him to drop? He leads one hell of a miserable life now, and it's because of him smoking weed and cigarrettes.... I have all the right in the world to knock it and so does everyone else. Those media adds, not that I've seen much for Marijuana, don't lie.... they tell the truth, and i have one of my best friends to proove that... and thats enough for me to know better. I dunno if it is for you though. Maybe one day it will be... maybe it'll be you who becomes that best friend....

I start Summer School tomorrow on my BIRTHDAY!
Transtic Nerve replied to Krillen's topic in General Discussion
blah.. I've been in school since January non-stop... and will continue being in school till January non-stop.... School is the only thing out there that will make you smarter, if not, at least know something about other things then just what you care about. Summer school, in your case, should be an example that you shouldn't slack off in normal school. if you'd do your work and get A's or B's or whatever, you wouldn't be going to school. When you get into college... you'll pay to take a class, then you'll fail those classes, then you'll learn.... I go to summer school now, and I went to summer school then because I wanted to get ahead on my classes. It's just a pet peeve when you kids whine about school when you get the grades you deserve, bad or good... You're mom did the right thing. If you can't get decent grades, you don't deserve a summer.... Your sister has nothing to do with it... you got a D... now go back to school and earn a better grade. -
Mnemolth's Misguided Guide to Girls
Originally posted by Mnemolth Oh I'm sorry. I must have overlooked that. Well here it is. No, the other one. The End
You act as if women are much more complicated then men... this prooves you in fact know nothing about men or women. I know guys that are extremely hard to deal with.. and then I know women who are very easy to understand. It's not about a gender... it's about what goes on in your brain... and that is not caused by whether or not you have a penis or a vagina, but your growing up experiences and your family life and all those other influences. -
Originally posted by SSJ Gotenks ok I dont know anyone that's ever been high while playing a sport thats just stupid!!When i smoke a blunt i do it at home i dont go out and do it in public.I smoke weed just to relax when i had a ruff day at school when i come home i like to spark it up and just relax i dont like the idea of drugs in school but in the privacy of your house i dont see the harm of that.
I can agree to some extent. i had previously said in some drug topic that I thought drugs should be legalized in the fact that people should only be allowed to do them privately and not in public or places with a high count of people, no pun intended. I also think the government should tax the hell out of them so that you people would go broke buying them. if they made it legal, street corner drug sales people would quickly lose all prophit. And then become virutally unexistant. WHich would be good, to some extent. I have this all planned out... OH! Thats a good platform to run for president on amung other things. anyway, onward.
well they can search me i dont have a problem with that since i never bring herbs to school but drug testing thats going to far if u ask me!!
Why is it going to far? If you don't bring your "herb" to school you should have nothing to worry about. it's a simple solution really... it's either drugs... or sports.... you choose, you can't have both. It's simple psychology... an approach approach method... two things you want but you can only have one, not both... you choose... Each has pro's and each has con's...
And i agree weed should be lagalized i feel that cancer sticks(cigireits)are way worser so why shouldn't weed be legal.:therock:
The reason why cigarrettes are not illegal is because they were a part of the culture of the WORLD before it came to knowledge they could cause cancer... kinda like opium, but no one does that stuff anymore. Another reason is because Marijuana is, like I said, a type of halucinagen and depressant... the last thing I want is someone around who's seeing things and is depressed.... above all that, that crap smells so bad.... I wanna puke everytime I smell someone who's been smoking pot.... It's worse than cigarrettes... BTW, inhaling smoke, no matter what form, WILL kill you and can give you lung cancer.... also, Marijuana tends to lead to more drugs, like Heroin or coke... not always, but alot of times it will... but then again, cigarrettes lead to pot... so who knows... I think once we make cigarrettes and alcohol illegal, things will get better as far as drug control... and we'll save tons of money too... but I dunno if that's ever gonna happen.

Mnemolth's Misguided Guide to Girls

Oh my jesus.... no one in their right mind would read that.... I know I'm not... part in because I don't have much to worry about girls... lol. -
Go to any video game store online, ebay, yahoo,... do some easy searching.... the game isn't worth the buy anyway.

Here we have an example of someone who doesn't read the rules.... this is also an example of someone who now has warning. Next time this person posts SPAM like this, he/she will be banned. Another reason why members should read the rules before they make themselves look stupid.
Originally posted by SSJ Gotenks ok I hate tha whole idea a person should be able to smoke weed if they want too i smoke weed once in a while i dont think they should look for weed i think they should look for heavy drugs like cocaine or heroin those are the drugs that are really missin up people i dont feel that weed iz a drug they should be searching for because almost everyone in my school smoke herbs. I dont like the whole idea of drug testing in school. I like that it will get crack heads out of school but weed heads need to stay.:D
But marijuana is illegal... so ofcourse they're not going to make an exception for you people. Thats just stupid. If you smoke weed or do any other drugs, be prepared to pay the consequences and stop whining. It was your choice to do the drug, and it's your fault if they catch you. It's quite obvious that they aren't going to overlook weed. If they catch people withit today they give them crimal sentences. So it makes no sense for them to overlook it. Esspecially snese it acts as somewhat of a halucinagen and anti-depressant... they don't want people playing sport when they're high.... It makes you stupid, hinders your ability to do anything, and prevents any type of brain and physical growth as well... which is why alot of people who smoke pot a young age are rather short and stupid. It's quite funny to laugh at them.
Originally posted by Saiya-jinro I think it should stay. If their parents don't want them saying it, then they should just not say it. But, don't ruin it for people who do. :flaming:
::sigh:: people don't read posts... It's not about saying it... it's about hearing it and the thought or aspect that a national saying (endorced by the US), said in public schools on a regular basis. The fact that the belief in God is endorced by a nation who is supposed to seperate Church and State is what makes it unconstitutional. And the fact children are being at least forced to hear it, if not being forced to say it.
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud Hmmm...well I think that you guys have finally hit on the point that I wanted to reach...the supreme court is saying that minors in the US no longer have the final liberties 1. The Right to Due Process 2. The Right against Unreasonable Searches ans Seizures 3. The Right to Privacy
You don't have rights as a minor. Not till you become a responcible adult at the age of 18 (sometimes at 16, depending on situations). You have some obviously, but not alot. You are basically a slave to your parents. What the Supreme Court is saying is that School is not your real life. And that you are being sent there for free, for the most part, and that different laws apply in school than they do anywhere else. The School principle and it's faculty havecomplete control over you. The only way to change the way the school works is to go to the board... get your parents to go to the board.... all those people care about is votes, tell them you won't vote for them they'll change things quicker than you can think it.
Why I have mixe feelings about this issue, I think it is slightly inaccurate that the supreme court catagorizes public schools in a different way then civilian life. Until this ruling they have followed strict constitutional guidelines in dealing with student's rights. They have more or less seperated the church and public schools. They have given school boards the power of decision, thereby forming a local democracy, they have also made it illegal to search a students belongings unless they have reasonable cause. Many of you say that you don't mind getting tested because you have nothing to hide, but if they got you out of class, searched your car (which is now also allowed, if it is on school property), gave you a drug test, and searche your person all because another student claimed you were using drugs, wouldn't you fell the least bit violated?
Well the SC ruled that only students in after school activities, such as football or whatever were subject to random drug tests. They didn't say anything about the whole school. Usually they won't go so far as to search your car if a student claims you are using drugs. They may confront you or have you open your locker, but unless they have hard evidence, they usually won't go that far. The whole 4 years I was at school, they never, to my knowlege, searched anyone's car... they did have a drug bust when I was in 11th grade though... but they just arrested kids they already knew were selling/buying drugs (which they had ample proof of through tapped school telephones) The bottom line is, school is a place you need to be safe and yo uneed to learn... not do drugs... not kill people, not anything.... it's a place you go to learn... you are basically, as I said... a slave to learning... Your freedom is givin back to you at 16, when you can legally drop out of school and legally leave your house, or be kicked out.... either way...
Originally posted by SaiyanPrincessX I think it should stay, there is no harm in it.. My parents say if some people don't like it, tough! Go back to your country! They shouldn't have let them into our country in the first place! No there not racist or anything they just believe that most Arabs and ect are the ones with the problem with our pledge, can't change what they believe. I half agree with them. Yes I think it should stay, but not going to the extreme as to not letting others into our country. As alot of you said think of god as the one you believe in.
No offense, but your parents are comeplete idiots.... Muslims believe in God... they just call him Alah... just like Jehova or whatever other name you give God.... Your parents need to know the facts before they open their mouths, because thats the reason we have the stupid people in the world today. The guy who filed the suit against it is WHITE, is AMERICAN, and ISN'T Muslim... he was atheiest.... and you can tell your parents that means he doesn't believe in a God or any supreme power (again restating the fact, There is not God, no matter who it may be, to believe in thus the pledge is essentially taking away meaning of his religion)... it has nothing to do with anyone who came from another country, it deals with an American who is atheiest.... Alot of you seemed to miss the whole part about being atheiest and you keep going off on other religions.... In fact everyone who disagrees with this, even the president, seems to have not known this deals with atheism for the most part, and not Muslims or Hindus or Buddhists.
Originally posted by Son Goten Exactly. Thanks for turning my post into a nice, smaller, eaiser to understand one TN. :)
Welcome you are... I think alot of people don't know that about schools and how the Supreme Court rule on certain issues... just because they can give random drug tests in school doesn't mean they will do it in real life to regular civilians... In fact thats unconstitutional.. just like they can't do random house searches.... or random traffic stops, even though they really do...
Originally posted by Crazy White Boy Yipes, if any of that was directed towards me, I was only joking. You know? Sarcasm towards the whole idea? lol, I could care less if anyone says "God Damnit." Anyway, the whole point of saying the Pledge is supposed to be an act of displaying Patriotism. That's being lost in this whole battle with religion. I don't think that the pledge should necessarily be done away with. The simple solution would be to remove those who are offended by it and situate them in another home room.
lol. I know you were joking, but the whole idea you brought up helped the issue at hand... which is why I jumped all over it.... like a true lawyer I am.... I know it's all about the pride thing... and patriotism.... but the Pledge sounds BETTER without the words I think.... it all goes back to the ideal that Americans are affraid of change... and thus rebel against it....
Well, I still dont see how not being able to leave would make it unconstituional. We all hear things we dont like, so get over it.
Well, I think now that it's been brought to attention, something must be done.... either take out the God part or not saying it in public school... or giving people the option to say it or not or to leave or not or something... you just can't "let it be" anymore....
Originally posted by Amphion Your saying being forced to listen to it is Unconstitutional. Well thats dumb. And my analogy m,ade perfect sense. If a person is praying to allah beside me, I hear it. So that should be unconstitutional too. well according to your comments thats what your saying. So anny thing a person is offended by, if they half to hear it it should be unconstitutional.
No because you have the right to leave.... The POA is said in Classrooms loud enough to be heard by everyone and you can't leave... thats the point I'm making... Anyway, if you read my previous posts I have said that I didn't think it needed to be changed, but I think the whole idea of saying it in schools hould be abolished.... if you need to say the POA, you can say it before school or at home or in your sleep or whatever... you don't need to waste time in school saying it....
Originally posted by Son Goten It's not even a blood test. They just have you pee in a cup. We have no freedom in school anyway. We get yelled at for swearing, but it's freedom of speach. but that doesn't matter, cause in school we have no rights. Only prevliges that can be taken away. And the privlige of not being screened for drugs has been taken away because too many people abuse it.
You're not supposed to have freedom in school. The Supreme Court rules on 3 different views.... School, Civilian Life, and Military.... meaning, what applys to civilian life may not apply to School or the Military and visa versa... which is why the school can search your locker or car at any time without a warrant... and exactly why they can now give drug tests.... which I think is great because there's a real simple solution... Don't.... do.... drugs....
Originally posted by Amphion No. ITs not unconstitutional. It would be if kids where forced to say it. The Super intendent of the school system said it himself that the children where not forced to say the PoA. It was optional. So there for it can in no way be unconstitutional. If it was unconstitutional then it would have to be unconstitutional for anyone to say anything religous in public. Just hearing something can not be unconstitutional. forcing yes but hearing no. I hear people say prayers to allah, but they are not forcing their religion on me. So see, it is not unconstitutional unless someone is forced to say it. So it is only obvious that it is NOT.
The point is that it is almost forced in many schools. In fact it's said in almost EVERY school every day.... the fact that it is said in school without having permission to hear it basically mean the child is being forced to listen to it, which does make it UNCONSTITUTIONAL.... when they told it in school for me, I couldn't go outside when it came on... I had to hear it, and thats the point you miss. Listen, if it weren't unconstitutional as you so claim it to be, then it's quite obvious, the judges wouldn't even have made the judgement they did....
And you can not claim it to be UC becuas eit embarress the kids when they sit down and dont say it or whatever. Thats just ridiculous. People really take the constitution too far. They try to pick every word apart to fix it to something they want. If its unconstitutional for someon to be embarressed then what are we supposed to do. Bann everything that might have a chance of embarresing you?
I can claim it to be whatever the hell I want it to be. ... and where did I say kids were embarrassed as a reason... that part mad eno sense to me.... Whoa.. aren't we supposed to follow the constitution?.... so wouldn't it be right that we make sure we understand the constitution to it's full extent.... and wouldn't that involve some type "picking words apart".... and that analogy on your part was just pathetic. You cannot compare the seperation of church and state to that of being embarrassed.... I'm getting confused just trying to compare the two in refrence to unconstitutionality, or lack there of. I fail to see your point.... and you fail to see why this was ruled the way it was. I don't think any Supreme Court Judge can honestly sit there and say that it's constitutional.... I can understand if they take it out of schools as a "group" thing.... thats the reason it was rules, because school, as a group, say or hear the PoA. Like I said, I dunno about you, but I wasn't allowed to leave when the PoA was said... were you? The fact I was forced to listen to it, maybe not say it (some are forced to say it) makes it unconstitutional... I don't sit you down and force you to listen words that say "God doesn't exist, your God is fake. Your real lord is Vishnu, etc etc etc"... no... so the fact that being forced to listen to "Under God" for an atheist would be in the least slightly offensive.... and in that, you are not abiding by the constitution, which makes it.... you guessed it... unconstitutional. PS: I've had the conversation with James long before and the understanding came to that Damn, Hell and Dammit were not against the rules... or they'd be censored.... also I believe we had an agreement on "God Dammit" as well.... however if it makes you feel any better I will take out God in my post.... BY THE WAY... you just gave a great example as to why this whole thing is unconstitutional... And I'm offended by God in the PoA.... way to set an example America!
-
Originally posted by Jamvis James, until youre an american... keep outta this!
If it makes you feel any better, I'll say everything James has to say and I AM an American.... what difference does it make?
Originally posted by Son Goten If they take the "under god" out of the pledge, they will have to take the "in god we trust" off all the money. and that would cost way too much to do, so i think the pledge will stay the same.
That was another point made by the guy who filed the lawsuit.... but no one reads what the coins say... they just care how much of it they have.... when James said something about the Freedom of Speech, I think that also plays a major role in this... even though the coins do not seperate itself from church and state, I don't see that becoming much of a deal...
-
Just so some of you know, the forcing of you to say, or even stand up, for the pledge of alligence, is against the law. So if you don't stand up or don't say it and get in trouble for it, be sure you tell the teacher what the law is... I don't know how this whole issue will effect people... I don't see why it should anyway... people say it or not... the only people that say it are like kids that don't know any better. Like when I was in Highschool, I knew enough if I wanted or not wanted to say it... and if I didn't want to say it, I didn't... I think this is more for the effect on children... who normally don't have a greater sense of what they are saying, but that "hey, everyone else is saying it, I guess I should too" or whatever goes to their head... I know we were basically forced to say it in Elementory schoola nd the only reason I did it was because I didn't know any better.... so as far as taking the words out of the official pledge, I don't care... out of elementory and middle schools... I would have to say that I would like to see it to be an optional activity, if not abolished completely. If you want to say your pledge, you can say it before school... no one's stopping you.
-
I was gonna make this topic dammit! Anyway.... while it's quite obvious that it IS unconstitutional... anyone who knows ANYTHING about the constitution will tell you the same, which is exactly why it was ruled that way... I don't really think it needs to be removed, although I won't oppose the idea... It doesn't seperate church and state like the constitution is written... it assumes everyone has a God... I've thought about it for many years myself and have found it to do that.... I won't argue here, but like I said, it's obviously unconstitutional, and if you believe in the foundation of this country, you will support the fact it is not constitutional. I also find it rather funny people are over reacting on this. The words "Under God" were ADDED to the Pledge of Alligence, meaning, it wasn't originally there. So I feel, what can be added, can be subtracted. The President did say something about it, that the meaning behind it suggests that our freedoms were giving to us by God, as stated in the constitution itself... now.. again, this fails to seperate church and states, which is just another contradiction in the constitution... Whatever choice people make or however this ends, it won't change the way I see things. I don't say the pledge, and in school, I always said it really fast where no one understood me and then I sat down... so it didn't matter to me.... I have a question for some of you... In school, are you forced to say the pledge of alligence?

The character playing the bad guy in Movie 12 is named Janemba... the big fat yellow guy is Janemba and the Red skinny devilish looking fellow is also Janemba, they are just different forms... the Red guy is a more concentrated form of evil, where as the fat yellow guy was a burst of evil which only seemed to like to have fun. The character Hildegarn is seen in Movie 13... The movies do not occur on the same line as the series... when movie 12 was released, it was after the series had progressed pass the Majin Buu saga. In fact I think it was released right after it ended, if not after the series ended. Gokou being in heaven at the time just happen to be a plot coincidence... they needed him to be dead so that he could corrospond well with the plot.
