[/b][/quote] I'm gonna pick apart your post to show some things to those who may not be well educated in Japanese language or anime (not that I am WELL Educated, just more so than dubbies) For this, Krillin and Furiza's names were not really... changed per say.... just put into English. Kururin is how the word "Krillin" is pronounced in Japanese..... Furiza is how the word "Freeza" (or however one wants to spell it) is pronounced in Japanese. For MANY of the names, in many anime, they use Katakana to spell them. Which mean, that they are foreign words, not japanese words, that are pronounced in Japanese sylables, because thats how the Japanese speak. They don't put consinents next to each other (with the exception of "n" and double consinents [KK, GG, etc, but it's wirtten different])... so Freeza would be pronounced... Fu-Ri-Za and I' sure you can figure that out easily. For it's not that hard. SO in the end, the names weren't changed in those specific cases, just made into correct english and not Japanglish. (or as we call it "Engrish" without the humor) However, some names ar blantantly changed.... Karin, to Korin... no reason for the cange.... Mr Satan to Hercule... yeah, thats just plain stupid. If they would be smart enough to figure out that Satan is pronounced "SATIN" like the material, they wouldn't have had to change it. But alas, leave nothing smart up to Americans anime companies. ALOT of male characters in anime are voiced by female seiyuu.... Gokou, Gohan, and Goten all were. Even when they grew up. She did the voice for all three of them. They just play the the epsiodes FUNi gives them. Any dialogue changes and editing is all done by FUNi so that CN and Toonami, which is just a time slot on CN, can play the episodes I've always thought of dubbed DragonBall as the ultimate in political correctness... they are so careful that NOTHING in their episodes so that bad parents can't whine about billy or susy seeing a little boys naked a$s after he got his butt kicked. I'm surprised they didn't change the title to Dragon Round-spheres-with-stars-in-them.

There are NO bad words in DB/Z/GT besides the common "hell" or "damn" if you consider those "bad words" As far as other things... you pretty much got them... Why does it matter? The dub gives out alot of false information and isn't acurate in many things. They leave out alot of the humor in the show and add in absolutely corny jokes in places they simply don't belong. Plus it's not an original... and if I want the correct information about something, I don't go watch a remake.... like if I wanted to know all about the original Ocean's 11 movie... I wouldn't go rent the new one..... plus it just pisses us off that FUNi took out 13 episodes for no reason what-so-ever.

Some of you fail to read what I said before... I said there is music in rap... but the act of rapping itself is NOT music... Now to address a voice being a sound, yes it is.... HOWEVER, there's a certain category for sounds that come from vocal cords.... thats called singing.... singing and music are two different things.... yes both do involve sounds creating a melody or harmony.... but I can wear a shirt and a pair of pants, does that make them the same? Of course not.... Rapping is NOT music... it's a form of singing... that I'll give you... the beats they have in the background... yeah thats music, but the actual act of rapping is not music... call it singing, but don't insult true music fans by calling it music.... Try writing music... i garauntee it's much harder.... Uh yeah, as for the whole "In rock, all they do is scream".... yeah.... you've never heard alot bands then.... I suggest listening to "real rock" and not "Metal"... as DK said it. Even though I will agree, there's way to many genre's of ANY music... you can't say pop music anymore, because now rock, punk, and whatever else is all considered that by some people... and played on these stupid pop stations that the American public sink right into..
