Girls... blah they're not worth it... lol JUST KIDDING LADIES ::runs off::
-
I never pay attention to bands that form in my school... or my former school... They all mostly sucked... except one... who I think are fairly famous locally now. But I don't keep up with them.... We had this one year where these girl groups just kept popping up... 0-0;... that was an odd thing... There was this one girl in my math class last yea, you'd like her Jimmy (how she looks that is :p) and she actually got fairly famous here. She was payed on the radio, did big house shows... I haven't heard of her lately, possibly because I don't listen to the "pop station" here where she was played on the radio. So yeah... METOLIUS IS THE BEST BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but isn't that his fault for not knowing what he's eating? Oh well Yes, i almost run over children in the road every day...... but those aren't accidents.... BWAHAHA!
-
I'd say he's anywhere from 7-12 years older than Gokou... I'd say he's in his 40's... maybe early 50's... there's no real answer obviously... at least not that i know of. They never state it in the series or manga from what I know. But... Yamucha and Tenshinhan were older than Gokou in DB... Gokou was 12.... I'm guessing there were both about 18-20... then in DBZ, they don't look that old and Gokou has grown quite alot.... So I'm guessing... Gokou in his mid-30s or late 30s.. which would make Vegita fairly older as I stated before.
Originally posted by James I saw Ep II today for the first time...it was a working day, so the theatre was pretty empty. I thought it was very good. It wasn't the biggest movie of all time, like some claim...but it was a hell of a lot better than Episode I. The first half was kind of drawn-out, I thought. But by the middle, it was getting very good. And yeah...the Yoda fight scene was utterly brilliant lol. I loved it! ^_^ Hayden was a better actor than I thought, simply because I had low expectations. He was MUCH better than that annoying little kid in Ep. I, at least... So yeah, overall I really enjoyed it. It seemed to contain a lot more than Episode I in terms of plot...it was full of little references and stuff... Anyway, I don't want to give anything away (I hope I'm not lol)...but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mr. Lucas is redeemed. :)
He always seems to pick the worst actors to play Anakin... Everyone else in the movie was a great actor... and then there's Anakin... who sucks! Oh well... there's a reason he does that I'm sure.

Right... well just because it's your birthday doesn't mean you have to be happy. There's aobviously some reason you are upset... something you are either not telling us or not telling yourself. The human mind just doesn't get upset for no reason, unless ofcourse you have some mental abnormality, but even then, thats a reason. You're still a child, you have nothing to cry about. You don't have to worry about work, making money to live upon, being beat up by some exboyfriend or whatever. ALl you have to worry about is summer... school's getting out and then you have free time the whole summer. Maybe you're going into High School the next year, although being 13 I doubt that... So, either tell yourself the reason you are upset, or tell someone else and they can tell you. Thats the only way to help yourself if it's even remotely serious. The first step in fixing a problem is admitting you have one.

Blah, stop saying spoilers... if peopel can't figure out that we're talking about the movie, then it's there own fault... Yoda made the whole movie that much better. Hayden was a terrib;e actor, Ewan looked nasty with his beard, Samuel L Jackson can't make his lightsaber skills look authentic.... probably, I liked the Jedi's the best... the other Jedi's.... I can't spell their names or rmember them for the life of me, but I'm sure you get the point. I would have liked the Sith, but seeing as how the main sith character in this movie was old, nasty, and overall blah.... I didn't care. Maul was a much better villian in a much worse movie.
Originally posted by Amphion Actually the building was built to withstand the energy of a 747 crashing into it becuase there where accounts of accidents in the past. These where 767's but it was still suppsed to beable to withstand it without toppling over, Main thing was all the fire heated up the support beams and caused floors to collapse, and one by one they fell on each other. If you have a block sitting on multiple collums with several other blocks between the bottom and top you get a very sollid structure. When you take those int between blocks away it cause the structure to loose just about all of its strength. So when the floors collapse under the thousands of degrees of temperature you get a structure that can only support about 1/4 of its weight. Like I said before theres little you could have did to prevent such an accident from happening. At the time it was built it was one of the strongest structures made. On the TLC program anatomy of the collapse it explains all of it. Theres very little you could do about what happend with the technology we have today.
Yes yes, I watched that TLC thing... perhaps I worded my post wrong. I said poor structure when really in fact I didn't quite mean that... more... I don't really know the word.... had it been built a different way where the fire wouldn't have weakened the beams, then the towers would still be there.... I suppose is what I'm trying to say... but that kinda goes in account with everything... so just ignore that part of my post if you must.... my intention was to throw out the knocking down of these buildings was not al Queda's intention.

Don't ruin the movie! lol Anyway, yesterday, there was a news story about a theater showing that was taped and then put on the internet of Star Wars Episode II.... well after seeing the movie... guess who got them?... lol... so yeah, but the theater version is SO much better. PS: Hayden is a terrible actor.... but just so cute!

Ofcourse he was warned... well he wasn't, but the CIA was. Or at least they knew about it. They know about a lot of things, there's just times they can't do anything about it. To take a simi-quote from Men In Black: "There's always some galactic Star Destroyer or whatever whatever trying to whipe out all existence on this planet, and the only reason these people get on with their lives is that they don't know about it"... and simply that, the government doesn't just release a statement going: "Our Sources say that a hijacking may happen anytime between now and then".... that will just cause panic, no one would step on an airplane, and then when it didn't happen, people would question the reliability of our government, The original plan of the al Queda was not to take down the buildings... but to simply crash the plane into the buildings... the buildings falling was simply the cause of poor structural planning on behalf of the people who built it. The fact they did fall however, was more icing on the cake for the al Queda. But yes, I've known, in fact i believe it was said right off, the CIA knew an attack was prominant. But like many things, it's hard to stop when you don't know where, when, or who.

As far as I can see things, there's neither 100% proof to proove or disproove the existence of the paranormal. But I do believe in spirits, but, just like religion, realize there's not many facts to back it up.

Anime Anime Fans are isolated...Opinions?
Transtic Nerve replied to sandramaxwell06's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by sandramaxwell06 well this is in response to wrist cutter saying that anime is just a fad with the elementary school kids. WRONG!!!!! why are you even on this forum, i mean if you think anime is a fad. i know people who watched anime in the 1980's. if its a fad then its lasted a pretty long time. anime is not a fad it is a way of life for some people and i dont want you saying things that you dont know about. elementary school kids only got into it because they saw the teenagers love it and i dont want you saying kids started it. in my opinion i think that you should keep your mouth shut if you don't got anything SMART to say! There!!! :flaming:
Don't you think you're over reacting just a little too much... well no... don't think... you are.... You sound like some 8 year old Quatre fan defending him because someone insulted him. DO you know what the word "fad" means? Apparently not, judging by what you said in your post. A fad is when something becomes EXTREMELY popular EXTREMELY fast and usually fades away in due time. Back in the 80's anime wasn't popular in America. I grew up in the 80's, I know... ANime may not be a fad with only elementory school kids, but mainly in those age ranges... Elementory to Middle School. High School seems to have the more mature (although not all the time, as there is ample proof to show right here) people that tend to grow out of "cartoons" and watch something like Friends or that other crap thats on American prime time. The majority of HS students DO NOT watch anime on a regular basis. Which goes to proove that the fad of anime, which it is a fad, is mainly structured in the Elementory to Middle School age range with children. And as stated before, this does not only apply to them, but, the MAJORITY (key word here) are those age ranges. Now if you would think for a second without over reacting on everything, you would have been able to figure out what was said... -
You already made the other topic, post this in that if you must. Plus most of the people explained censorship on TV in their post in your original topic. Topic closed... Again...

This topic is pretty pointless, seeing as how it serves no point, nor is it even in the slightest bit intelligent. Fighting is for the weak minded. If you can't resolve any difference without fighting than you need help in communication. Fighting just prooves how dumb some people really are. However, sekf defense is something totally different, but this topic doesn't even bring that topic in untill the end where you make that ridiculous statement, which contained horrid spelling mistakes and poor grammar. Topic closed for lack of intelligence and obvious no good worth to the over all view of these boards... which I already explained.

"Modern Rock" today has so many different genres it's hard to tell exactly. ALot of "modern" groups now-a-days say that bands like Led Zeplin and the likes inspired them. Bands that Eric Clapton used to be in lol. He's been in so many it's not even funny. Metallica is still fairly new... they were formed in 82 and released their first album in 83'.... their only 20 years old, which is good for inspiration for the newer, younger bands on the market right now. Depending on which type of music they play, Nirvana could have been inspiration. WHich undoubtably they have been for numerous bands. Hair bands like Bon Jovi, Poison, Motley Cru, and the likes were inspiration to some. George Michael is another... these were all bands that our modern rock stars listened to as kids and teenagers.... There's so many great American rock bands... yet... so many more crappy ones....
Originally posted by Soccer 4 Life Otaku means "fan" in Japanese, in the fanatic sense. In America, it's considered a trendy term to call yourself if you are a Japanese animation fan. :therock: :mrt: Peace!!:demon: :naughty:
hmmm where'd you get that from? Anyway... Otaku REALLY means, in the case of anime, "Geek, Nerd, or Enthusiast"... It was first used to describe anime fans because they would basically become hermits and watch anime all the time or whatever. So, people started calling them otaku, and it just kinda stuck to them. In Japan, it's actually a rather offensive term to people. In America however, people naturally rarely know the meaning and throw the word around like it's a piece of cake, when in actuality, they are insulting themselves.... but none-the-less, it still partially refers to a realllllly big fan of anime....
