Just to make it clear, my previous post wasn't spam. I was giving my opinion on my experience with RPGs. Anyway, I don't undertsand RPGs. I never will. I've played enough stupid RPG games to know I won't, and face it, pen and pencil RPGs are even more boring. I don't understand how you can have fun writing down something you're pretending to be. Maybe my imagination doesn't work in the writing sense as much as it does in the visual sense.

It could be this! *cue dramatic music* Anyway, I had a strong urge to do a Transformers banner and ofcourse it would have either my favourite transformer, Galvatron, or the Dinobots, and Galvatron was just easier to work with so I did it. So yeah, I think it's really good actually, rather pleased with this one. So yeah, tell me what you think. Sorry to all the Teen Girl Squad lovers, the last one didn't last long.

I never understood role playing games.... and then after meeting the dorks at cons who play RPGs, I'm glad I don't.
I don't care too much for them only because they dress like wierdos (even in visual kei standards). HOWEVER, their song Gekikai Merry-go-round is so damn addicting... And speaking of old bands, is there any love in here for Shazna?
So you don't like PlC because they dress like weirdos.... but you like Shazna.... because Izam isn't the most female looking man I've ever seen.... Pyscho le Cemu is probably one of the better indie bands to go major I've ever heard. Next to early Deg. lava lamp, have you heard of DespairsRay? I haven't kept up on them and I was wondering if you had any recent news of them if you know of them. They are my favourite indie band, they have been for a while now.

Stop whining. Welcome to the real world, GET USED TO IT! You're getting treated like trash because people get treated like trash in the real world. This isn't some fantasy world you probably play in all your silly RPG games. This is real world interaction with real world people, like me. And I will treat you like you're stupid if you ask stupid questions or do stupid things. All your thread was an immature over reaction to something that has no consequence in the real world. You're talking about a dream. I keep having dreams about a giant monster eating my family... OMG! Will a giant monster eat my family? I'm so scared, help me!... OB is not the place to come for dream interpretations. Read Sigmund Freud or see a psychologist or something. You're older than me for God's sake, have some common sense, or did you lose that in your dream too? Oh and yeah, threads about people who complain about stupid things get closed, yours will be no exception.
Oh no....*groans* Not totally spies!!! I hate that! And so does everyone else who is either over the age of 8 or a guy... I don't see why you are all complaining. In NZ, its the Australian version of cartoon network. And since NZ is 2 hours behind Australia, Whenever I stay up to watch adult swim (the only anime on other than DBZ) It's on at 1 o'clock in the freakin morning. I can't keep that up on a weeknight! And I only wanted to see Vash...*cries*
Record it.... Thats why they have VCRs, or if you want to go a step higher, digitally record it if you have one of those. Certainly you have one of the two.
-
How do you expect someone to help you on this? Is there a dentist at OB? It's a dream, get over it. If you fear for your fillings that much, go to the dentist.
That would probably be if anything atheist, but Im not sure if you believe in a God/Gods or not so. But yea, but just out of curiosity why do you dislike religious beliefs?
No, I believe in God. Or whatever may be up there... I believe something or somethings are up there. I guess it's really agnostic. Why do I dislike religious beliefs... because I don't like the idea of a book written by people (regardless if it's God's word or whoever's word) telling other people what they should think, feel, do, etc. It's just another form of slavery to me really. Some would disagree, and that's their deal. I'm not here to debate religion, believe what you want, just don't expect me to believe it to, and you should repsect my decision to do that.

New Order's "Blue Monday"... and just New Order themselves.
Transtic Nerve replied to kyonen's topic in Noosphere
They're from Britain, so maybe you'd actually want to give them a chance heh.
I'm more interested in the dance and club music that comes from Britain, not so much the rock music or pop music seeing how most of it is much like American music. However I tend to enjoy the music from Britain, regardless of its genre, more so than American music. So I may see what else New Order has to offer. But I doubt i'll go buy a CD. -
New Order's "Blue Monday"... and just New Order themselves.
Transtic Nerve replied to kyonen's topic in Noosphere
Well, I knew them, but perhaps I am a special case? I don't know lol. Anyway, yeah New Order originally did Blue Monday. They're a pretty good post-rock 80s/90s band. Worth checking out beyond Blue Monday. They have a greatest hits CD about that I recommend getting. The European version has better tracks, though.
Yeah I would say you're a special case for music. You know alot of groups no one has any idea about... kinda like how I know all those Japanese bands... you're like that, just with like... american and European bands.... yeah... thats it. Anyway, wow, I didn't know who New Order was.... but I've heard the original Blue Monday before... wasn't to thrilled with it... or the Orgy version either. Oh you'd be happy, i actually bought an American CD a few weeks ago... can you believe that? I felt so ashamed lol. No no it was good. -
You seem to have high hopes for humanity. Anyone who loses their wallet or purse, esspecially if they have cash in it, should never expect to get it back. I wouldn't. I would have froze all my accounts right away. When I lost my check card, I had my account changed and new card sent to me right after I realized it was gone. And also I dunno how you lost it, but you shouldn't lose your wallet. It should be like a child to you, never keep your eye off of it. Anyway if I found a blank check, I would probably return it, unless i recognized the name on it as someone famous or whom I hated, in which case I would cash it right away for as much as I could get for it. Like I said, you have high hopes for humanity. No one is going to return something they can get for free without anyone knowing. Not unless they are like... a clergy memeber or something, but then again, who knows... money is the highest temptation.

New Order's "Blue Monday"... and just New Order themselves.
Transtic Nerve replied to kyonen's topic in Noosphere
You're thinking of Orgy. They covered Blue Monday and pretty much stripped it of any of its original meaning and feelings thanks to their sound and attiude. Blue Monday was originally by New Order and so covers really have no bearing on this thread. Also, Alien Ant Farm has had other hits. I'd say just as big as Smooth Criminal. I suppose that depends on where you live and how much one of their particular songs might have been overplayed, though.
By the way the topic was presented, it seemed to me that this... "New Order" also did a remake of Bllue Monday.... perhaps I read it wrong? My boyfriend likes AAF, i don't lol. I mean, no one heard of them till they did Smooth Criminal... and if you get popular off of a remake, you can't possibly be that good in my opinion. -
I really like your work, but I have two complaints. Much of what I see is repetitious. Which may not be a bad thing, great artists can and have been repetitious. I'd like to see something.... more new, something that doesn't look so crystalized. My other thing is the use of text in your work. The use of text is fine when you have a banner or a website or something, but in a work of art like that it has no place. I really think it takes away from the overall artwork. Really demeaning. Visual artists don't use words to convey the meaning of their art, thats what poets and authors are for. Visual artists use the subject of their work or the style of their work to convey the meaning of their art. While there are some artists that use words in their work, I think yours would be alot better if you didn't.
Awesome banner, though I would like to see the cloud eating the birds
I thought about adding that and the helicopter shotting the birds and the sun saw and the various other things but I kept to the actions that just appeared out of no where when Strong Bad yells it or says it. I also thought about adding the Ugly One and whatnot... but it has enough frames already lol. maladjusted... as far as capturing flash images, the "print screen" button on your keyboard is your friend.

New Order's "Blue Monday"... and just New Order themselves.
Transtic Nerve replied to kyonen's topic in Noosphere
Kyonen, you should really learn to use the Edit button. ANyway, you can't judge a group based on one song. Or two for that matter. Esspecially not a remake. Thats like saying Alien Ant Farm is the best band ever cause they can remake one song really good... -
I'm in that group that shakes their head at all the other people that are in religions. Whatever that is. No offense that is to anyone in some organized religion.

I made this today. Its just scenes from the animated comic strip from HomestarRunner.com about Teen Girl Squad.Nothing spectacular.

Why in the hell is anyone still watching Toonami anyway? The ratings probably dropped after DBZ got done airing... thats what gave them all the great ratings they had for the last 6 years. That and Gundam Wing, but a whole 40 something episodes won't last as long as 291. Anyway, yeah once people began to realize how crappy the anime that Toonami played is, they stopped watching it. I honestly didn't even know Toonami was still on, it's been forever since I watched any of it. PS: I couldn't find Miguzi in any Japanese directory for words... it probably isn't a real word, kinda like how Toonami wasn't... but at least that was some sort of pun... Miguzi just sounds stupid.

The Final Word...should parents have it?
Transtic Nerve replied to Godelsensei's topic in General Discussion
I can't think of many movies offhand that have gotten the rating, let alone any that did well.
Show Girls was an NC-17 (which really shouldn't have been) rated movie which did fairly well. Well enough considering its rating. Thats the only commercial movie I can think of with that rating. -
The Final Word...should parents have it?
Transtic Nerve replied to Godelsensei's topic in General Discussion
Forunantly and unfortunantly, parents have the final and most ultimate say in anything involving their children till they turn 18. (that is along as it conforms to the laws of the land) Children are essentially property till they turn 18. -
Oh, and: Did any of you by chance see Gackt's performance on the 23rd at Heyx3? I've never laughed so hard in my life. He performed Vanilla to promote his single collection which is currently sitting at 3rd in the oricon. Don't get me wrong; it's a great song for what it's dabbling in. When Gackt put it out, he had this charisma he just completely lacks now. Watching him live was so much fun, but now it's painful. Seriously. I cringed watching the performance. So. Incredibly. Cheesy. He looked like he took one too many stackers and was having trouble standing up. I've watched the performance [not all of it] once and haven't been brave enough to try it again. Hilarious. I wish I had the webspace to upload the video for you all because it's something I'd die to hear your comments on it.
I just like watching him attempt to dance. He can dance as well as he can sing in English, and well, you know he's not very good at that. Wtahcing his live of Papa Lopped a Pop lapped, or whatever that stupid title is, on Utaban was just hillarious. I was real interested in seeing his Moon tour DVD, but I don't have the money to cork out for that. Once he started NOT singing his songs live I stopped caring about his live preformances. I honestly rather watch him act or do a talk show or something, much more entertaining.

On the subject of using "Intelligent" words (that some of you think unintelligent people use to make themselves sound more intelligent) People, like me, use them because we're used to it. When I write papers for college, which most of you don't know anything about, I HAVE to use "bigger" words. You have to write at a higher grade level. I can't be in college writing things at an 8th grade level. I'm not even allowed to use contractions in college writing. I've done that 4 times already in this paragraph. So sometimes that writing wears off in my writing here. Plus I'm not stupid, I can use those words if I want. I don't try to sound smart, I am... and I'm probably concieded to alot of you too after reading that, but no matter. :p As far as buzz words is concerned... "liberal," which has been used in this thread, is one of the most overused words I've heard. Conservative and Liberal when pretaining to the Republican and Democratic party... or anyone for that matter. There no such thing as conservative or liberal anymore... Everyone is liberal on somethings and conservative on others, no one can be just one...

Stupid close-minded, immature and insecure people. I hate them!
"Regardless" means to take no heed of something. "Irreardless" means the exact same thing. It's not realky a word! It's a made-up word created by someone trying to sound smarter than they are![/size']
Oh and yeah, "irreardless" isn't a word. Some history on the word Irregardless: It's an American word, go figure. Used in casual writing and non-standard speech, meaning it's not a "formal" word. It IS a word, just it's more of a slang word. Technically it is a blend of the words irrespective and regardless. Who cares if it's a different word with the same meaning, other languages do it all the time. In many languages there's a different word if you mean it in a formal or informal sense. So why is it such a big deal here? The "words" I hate... U, UR, Y, anything related to l33t, or any other type of internet slang only used for idiots who are too lazy to type out the actual word. It'd probably take less time to type out the real word then to find the letter you need to substitute for it.... is it really that big of a deal to type S instead of Z in the word WAS. Jimmy and I have coined that type of talk as "Stupid Talk."
