I would say that the biggest part of the oil spil problem was not the oil itself, it was the governments inability to solve this problem in a timly matter. for quite a long time it seemed like our government couldnt do anything about it at all. the oil spill was a big issue, but we could barly help ourselves let alone an area across the globe. if we were to do anything at all, it should only be setting up a program for people to donate funds... we are trying to rid ourselves of thissesion thing, and we could benifit from working on our own problems first. as to why they are bringing this up now, I have no idea... if it is as bad as they say, environmentalists would have jumped all over it. of course they would also demand reform of polocy... so drawing attention before now may not be what they were looking for. polotical motives are just as polluted as the waters.

that sounds like a masterpiece as well... though nothing beats a good old reese's cup.

i will end up watching it eventually... my friends love the series (one watched the whole thing twice and a few episodes as many as five times) i liked it too... but i wont have a nerdgasim or anything too dramatic. i'll be glad that the movie wasn't the last say in the Avatar series above all else.

i agree that there is a difference between underated and mainstream. loads of people have seen .hack, but i doubt too many people spent the time to even watch all the episodes. I would much rather re-watch every .hack than Naruto, but as popularity goes Naruto always wins (i will never know why) it seems to happen where something flashy trumps a good story. my example would be how everyone remembers G-Gundam though the story, voice acting and character/design concepts were lame compared to virtually every other Gundam series. we then have Gundam 8th MS team... which had one of the best characters in any gundam, a great story, realism, and a fantastic ending. yet it is completely overlooked in the Gundam world.

well... i am not sure about how white wants to do the pet thing... (i know i started the idea, but i just wanted a normal pet so this stuff is new to me) but i am sure that you can post with the rest of us!

[img]http://i619.photobucket.com/albums/tt278/PandasQ/inception.jpg[/img] From the director that gave us Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan is most likely going to find this movie will further aid his reputation. being the writer, producer and director is a feat on its own. an amazing cast was selected for the movie. the main star of this and so many other hi budget movies was Leonardo DiCaprio. it seems as though if a movie wants to do well, and is willing to spend a lot of money to make it, they cast DiCaprio. I cant complain because he usually delivers, and he definitly deserverd his salt in this one. aside from good old Leo, inception has a cast were almost every lead role is filled by actors who had a lead role hit of there own. basicly... lots of good things went into this... so the product had to be good. the movie felt like the Matrix, though there were as many explosions as Dark Knight, as well as quite a few dark parts in the movie. the movie did try hard to keep its foundation in the real world, making it easy to believe this fantastic dreamworld. It was well written, save for one small problem i had. i believe it was an attempt at foreshadowing, but it was more like just giving out an important plot piece far too early. it was if they Nolan though if you said the line fast enough or only showed it once people would forget, but as for me i realized two important plot elements far before it was revealed. knowing a few details didn't stop me from loving the movie though. the action is intense and it is very aesthetically pleasing (did I mention high budget?) and the acting was very polished and compelling (this was the first Ellen page movie I didnt see here as the Juno persona, so i think this movie is really wizard for her), all while mentaining quite an original plot [center]i definitely have to recommend this one.
