1.
I enjoy the campaign in all Halo games except ODST. Speaking of flood missions, I just got to that point. >_> Can't wait to get back to start playing Reach again though. That one probably was the best campaign I've played among the series.
I would agree with you, but the original Halo has a soft spot in my heart. I can't justify buying anniversary edition, but my roommate has it. :]
  2. The toppings don't matter as long as the crust is stuffed! I have been doing some experimentation with homemaid stuffed crust pizza. So far, sooooooooooo good. I have a slight problem with cheese exploding out of the crust, and running into the pizza, but that just makes the inside taste better. So far my newest favorite topping is double thick bacon. It stays crunchy and good no matter how much cheese is on the pizza.
  3. Jeopardy is the main one I watch, but I used to love Ninja Warrior. I have no idea why but a sport that allowed you to cheer for everyone just seems awesome to me. I loved all the reoccurring people. I was so proud of the two American representatives... and just watching people go through that incredible obstacle course was cool.
  4. Lol, why am I being defended? is this opposite world?
  5.
Anyway, my time has been spent re-playing Halo 3.
The campaign isn't so bad in that game... but I can't stand those Flood missions... I am so glad they were left out of Halo Reach. I have been playing a ton of Fallout New Vegas, and so far I am really pleased with it. The missions are not fantastic, but they are interesting enough to make me want to see them through to the end. I really like the combat system and weapons in this game. My character primarily uses guns, so I am constantly switching between machine guns and rifle/revolvers. There is not much to it, but it is more than a lot of games. The leveling up system is soooooooo much easier than Oblivion, but it seems like the skills are the biggest deal. I really like the perks in this RPG. They are actually pretty creative. The stat increases follow pretty unique patterns, and I like how you can only get certain ones from having a certain traits. My favorite so far is Nerd Rage... where if you get pushed down to 20% of your life you gain the maximum strength possible, and a giant bonus to defense... but you can only get that trait if your character has high intelligence and science skills. The fallout world itself really doesn't seem to fit well. The post apocalyptic setting is cool, but it doesn't really make sense in Vegas, where there still seem to be too many fully functioning things. I really like the factions in this game, especially the Followers of the Apocalypse.
  6. I am not denying the fact that Linku was replying to you and not me... or the fact that I am a horrible, horrible person. I am unsure why this is announcement worthy though... I am pretty sure everyone had already figured this out. Anyways... I have my ticket and am set to leave for Yreka on the 28th. I have no idea what the weather will be like... but i guarantee that it will be much colder than southern California. I really don't have many warm clothes so I plan on packing twice the amount I need and wearing layers. My other plan is to not hold back during christmas and drink all the EGGNOG I want! A few extra pounds might lessen the chill. and its not like I will be seen without an inch thick of cloth protection at all times
  7.
o_o I just noticed that, too. I honestly don't see what the big deal about it is. With marriage comes the possibility of divorce, which would cost me too much money and too much work. Same with kids. Damned money/attention-suckers. :<
And wtf CaNz! I don't remember Linku saying that last part of your signature in chat...

Marriage and serious relationships are almost the same thing. Like you said the only real difference is the money issue. I really don't care about the title, but to be close enough to someoneone that you are willing to go beyond possessions seems nice to me.
He said it as a response to something else entirely, but it was fantastic timing.
9. I played as Imperial Agent during the third Beta testing weekend. Right off the bat I was impressed with the character builder, since it was easy, encompassed a bunch of races, and actually made characters that looked decent. It definitely feels like a more in-depth Mass Effect character creator, but that is fine with me. Like always, the equipment looks different based on what is equipped, however I think they also allow you to lock your appearance (that way you don't have to look like an idiot with the OR headgear. The graphics in the game in general were pretty good, but I don't think it looks fantastic. Comparing it to something like Mass Effect, or if I want to be cruel, Skyrim... they aren't that great. It is a very expansive game but I don't think that is an excuse. Talking and expressions are decent. The more I think about it, the closer this game resembles Mass Effect. There is also tons of frame rate issues, making all the character movements hilariously bad. The resemblances end with the appearance and story though. Gameplay definitely seems like a total WoW rip, Combat is very cut and dry, and though the skills look cool and Star Warsy, it didn't feel like I had the control like I did in KotOR. The game also felt either far to easy or far too difficult for no reason. The enemies spawn in packs, and whever two groups spawn at the same time you can wind up in a mess of trouble (unless other people are around) and you might get killed. The respawn process is easy, and fixing your gear is cheap (not that I ever found a good use for credits) so dying isn't that frustrating. The exception is in those instance quests. They are actually the most fun I had, but loosing makes you restart from the beginning. All in all I think the gameplay is fine though. These games are supposed to be repetitive. Finally the RPG aspect is not all that I desired. There were plenty of skills, and leveling up felt right for the most part... it was just not much instant gratification I guess. Half of the ability and skill perks I got, I just didn't care about. Sure getting +3 to whatever stat, or increase the damage done by my poison dart... but they don't make me feel more powerful when the enemies in the area are stronger. I had to go back to the start of the game a few times just to make sure I was getting any better. KotOR did well to improve most of the powers by giving you visual changes. Shock looks much different than force storm, and you got to pick from tons of powers right away, instead of waiting till you specialize. Also, partner leveling is even more bland. The game in general really did entertain me, but like most Bioware games it is the story that carries it. I really like the fact that you can join in your friends story quest so long as you aren't the same class or enemies. If I get ti, I would spend a really long time just because I would want to see all the stories.
  10. It isn't a huge deal or anything, but I have noticed a lot of bot/link spammers in the last couple of months. I honestly can't remember how difficult it was to sign up for OB, but perhaps it was a bit too lenient. I forget if there is a captcha or a random question, but maybe you could do more creative things instead, since whatever we have isn't working. I think if you could somehow stop new users from posting new threads on their first day, it might solve a lot of the problems. It also might stop people from doing lame introduction threads that then need to be transferred by you guys to the introduction thread. If you could disable any links from new members that might also work, but I have no idea how to go about doing that.
  11. Welcome to the OB Comic Strip contest! This is the perfect opportunity for you creative cats to show of your skills. I am sure you are bursting with excitement right now, but keep those creative juices bottled up for a second while I throw down some ground rules:

All comics are to be made using a simple Paint program, or drawn by hand.
No pasting outside images into the entree. (you can still use copy and paste, but only with stuff that you drew in your entree)
If you choose to add text to your entry, do not use profanity.
Don't draw anything explicit. ...you know what I mean.
All entries must use this template:
Now that the rules are out of the way, you can go ahead and draw to your hearts content. I am not limiting the amount of entries you can make. The deadline for all entries won't be until January 4th, so you have a whole month to get one posted. You don't need to do anything like this, and it is probably much better if you don't, but here is an example I made: I think you all get the picture(no pun intended) so you are all set! I look forward to seeing what you come up with, and I am sure we can all have fun with this. Lastly if you are dead set on not drawing, you can apply for being a judge. Good luck everyone!
  12.
Hmm... I really need to start watching that series again. I've only been reading the manga. When I first began reading Fairy Tail my problems were the characters themselves. Outside of Erza, there weren't any characters that really stood out, and at that time Erza stood out because of her "strong" role. She was no damsel and she could handle herself. I do remember when I first watched the series I felt that the female characters were more enjoyable though. So maybe it's a manga vs anime thing... "shrugs" But for the most part I still read Fairy Tail, but I hate Natsu (his type of character annoy me even more than damsels now)
I definitely am liking almost all of the characters, though it kinda feels like a better bleach since most people have one quirk and that is it for their personality. I am not sure about differences between the two, but I do like the animation and the voice acting, so it hits all the major qualifications that I have. I mentioned it before, but I dunno I am not sure if it is much different in the Manga... but the fan-service level is pretty ridiculous. Its as if they try to figure out different ways for Lucy to have her clothes torn off. Other than that I am sure the anime isn't a waist of time to try.
  13. Yep... I am not so fond of being 22... I can't imagine how 30 will be.

  15. I have set aside a lot of time to watch Fairy Tale, and I am currently on episode 49. I am not really surprised that the series is this long, because the world has a ton of depth. I kinda went in thinking it was gonna be just another Rave Master, but it really feels much different, and in a very good way, I think this show has tons of strengths, but the biggest one has to be the villains. I really like how they are built up to be really strong, but the main characters are just a bit stronger for the most part. I really disliked the evolution theme anime's like DBZ have, and I much prefer the person you root for to be more powerful. Being an underdog is fun and all, but it really gets old.
I also like how people usually return in the show, even if they were enemies.
This show is really addictive though... they know just when to end so that you are dying to watch another one. ( I could never watch this show on a week to week basis... it would drive me insane.) The only thing I dislike is the painful amounts of crying, friendship speeches, and fanservice.
  16. So much Star Wars... u_u I started playing Knights of the Old Republic II after SWtOR Beta ended. Honestly I think Knights is a better game, even as old as it is. The only thing that I like more about SWtOR is the multiplayer aspect. The length of MMORPGs are impressive, but I replayed the Knights games so many times that it really doesn't matter much. I am looking forward to getting
The Disciple
, since I have never had him before. I like how you get a different character based on your gender, but I liked
Handmaiden
so much it was hard to go girl. I have also started up a new Rebellion game. I am determined to blow up every planet in the universe, no matter how long it takes. First I need to crush the rebellion though... I really like feeling happy when my soldiers complete their tasks, and pissed off when they fail. Something about shouting "Darn you Ozzel, you incompetent fool!" just makes my day. There are only three real problems I have with this game. 1, diplomacy takes too long and is too important. 2, The space battles are really dull (unless you have a Deathstar... then they are really short) 3, It is impossible to keep track of how much time you spend playing this game.

  19.
My dad keeps trying to convince the whole extended family that we should have a fake tree this year, but so far no one agrees. I don't care if it's easier to clean up, I like almost everything about real trees! Nothing can replace the smell, the texture or even the hassle that's worth it in the end!
I am all about fake trees. I doubt you have been forced to take a hand saw to one so that it can fit in a trashcan. I felt like I murdered my Christmas spirit, then got rid of the body in unrecognizable pieces. I couldn't get the pine scent out of my hands for weeks, and those pine needles.... I don't think I need to explain further. I was always stuck with the hard work around Christmas, and my least favorite was putting up lights. Every year my guardian would buy more, and I was the one who had to risk my neck scaling the house to "look festive." I was the only one in my family who wasn't afraid of heights, so my contract was sealed. My last BA-humbug is the whole gift-giving thing. I like presents, but it is totally forced during these holidays. It always feels like you are getting something because it is Christmas, not because they really wanna give it to you. I am usually forced to give a bunch of extended family members shoddy presents they don't need for gifts I don't need, just so that the tradition is upheld and everyone is assured that we love one another. Maybe this holiday will be less stressful when I have a decent job and less bills so that I can afford it, or when/if I have a child so that I can make it seem as miraculous as it did to me way back when I was a kid. Till then it is just an excuse to get fat. The good thing is I will get to see a few relatives, and everyone else is usually pretty happy. Like every year I plan on getting smashed and singing horribly, and I also plan on once again trolling my family with democratic propaganda. I can watch how much fun my cousins kids have, and it will be one step closer to my favorite holiday, New Years Day.
  20.
For some reason, I keep falling down stairs lately. It's not even a rare event anymore. I tumbled two times yesterday, and I just fell down my stairs at home. Out of nowhere I start to zone out in the middle of a step and down I go. WTF?
You should ask Santa for an escalator this year. I need to spend 25$ next week for xbox live, even though I currently have no Xbox 360. I still use my account once and a while, but I really am not using it like i used to. The thing is, I am doing the Family deal with three friends, and we need exactly four people in order for this to work. DARN YOU PEER PRESSURE! EDIT: Made it to 2,000 posts! I gotta say I am a little sad that this wasn't the Senior Otaku benchmark, but I guess that means I have more to work towards.
but I am still insanely jealous of the people with less posts than me who snagged it!
21. A wise old master once said, "Always in motion is the future," but that doesn't stop us from dreaming up what it could be. We may not be able to see the future, but I am sure we have an okay shot at predicting at our own destiny. So where do you think you will be in 8 years? Will you be in a new job, a new place of your own, or maybe even have a family of your own? As for me, I am really unsure about my future. My plans for the future have the same failure rate as the original Xbox 360, and my typical unluckiness doesn't help. I still have a direction I am gonna try to move towards. In 8 years I see myself in a teachers assistant position, and maybe playing more poker if I continue to preform well. As for my place of residence, I am hoping I can get the hell out of California. If I get the chance I am moving to Colorado, It is the only place that has weather I like more than here, yet it is far more in my means. I also have family there that i desperately miss, and I am not too far away from the rest of my family and friends. As far as having a family or not, I am not planning on having kids at 30, but I would really want to be in a stable relationship by then. I doubt I will get any better looking after 30 so I am not looking forward to a swingers lifestyle. Other than that, my plans are pretty open.
  22. A second birthday wish for you!!!

Hope you got lotsa cake and things.

  23. Well, I play pretty much every kind of game. I was taking a survey for gamestop, and it asked the same question and listed off a page full of examples. Both my roommate and I checked every single box. I would say that the games I play least are sports and racing, but I love Wii Sports, NFL Blitz and Street, NBA Jam, Mario Tennis and more. Racing games is even less played, but I have played every Mario Kart game, as well as Crazy Taxi and Need For Speed... and there are tons of racing elements in other games that I play. My favorite games are usually RPGs, and if I am playing with friends, I go for shooters of any variety. The characters of RPGs as well as the story and plot seem to be better than all the other games. If I am playing a game by myself I want those things.
  24.
On another note, I need to see a doctor for my leg (appears that I have a blood clot or something). ;~;
You should just become a doctor, that way you can fix yourself whenever something bad happens to you. I got my plane ticket to Yreka today! Once again I am poor, but I guess being with family for the holidays is much more important than money. I really dislike flying during the holidays, since security takes forever and the airports are all crowded, not to mention having to wait around two hours since you can't be sure you will get to your terminal on time. The good news is my vacation is gonna be a long one, almost two weeks!
