on the pinpoint erasing thing... that sounds intensely difficult.. and as long as there is good contrast between the image i want and the background i usually use the magic eraser tool... im sure you know of it but for others it might save time... it really just deletes all pixles adjacent to and the same within the scale of the same color you clicked on... so in your example it would take out all the white. its not super precise if colors are closer.. but you can add contrast to the colors to make it better, then shift the contrast back to normal afterwords... (sharpen works well too) the more elaborate the picture the less it works but usually you can mix both methods to save time.

[/b] [/quote] are you telling me you've never colored with an overlay before? Its so much less complicated than anything else i have ever used. (though hue and saturation does work really well too... its just seems to change too much of the picture for my liking.) an overlay is really just a method of adding color to a picture... it uses layers so i am more accustomed to it in photoshop. it really is just a method of altering the opacity of an image so that the color blends with the pictures below it.. but the programs do all the specific opacity based on colors of the picture and light and dark spots below it. it basically ads color and preserves hard edges like a outline will remain black and the light spots might still be white, but the in between would be green. all of this is done by making a layer above it of the green you want, then turning it from normal solid to an overlay. And dont worry Botar.. Lilts got this...

i actually read the first twilight book... mostly because Steven King made fun of it and because it was short. not the worst decision i ever made... but its up there... however the twilight books do beat steven kings horrible romance stores in my opinion (as if writing the experience of love is hard to do or something) though at least steven king can write other aspects well, like a interesting plot, good action and creative style... for creating likable charicters im just gonna give it to twilight since the female world 14 and down are in love with them.
