i stay away from coffee anyways... its all about tea. but that just reminded me of the commercial for mcdonalds coffee where this jerk walks around telling people not to talk to him before he has his coffee... if that dude said it to me he would get a prompt "well, F___ you then!" but everyone in the commercial doesn't seem to mind. this bugs me slightly.

yes, good job all around.

i have been shopping stuff for a while now, and though i specialize in text i still have had many other projects. first of all, great job, the latest pic resembles him quite clearly. the advice i would give is add more depth to the shadow portion. the ear that is visible could be touched up a bit... you used such a light color for the shadow that it may be difficult, but it would sharpen the details. also, if you decided to add a second color for shadows you might be able to make his expression more visible, as well as add to his faces shape, by giving it more transition on the side and detail on the neck. As with any art project, you can always find places to improve... i may be lazy, but i say just get to a spot where you can say good enough, then stop.

I would, but the poetry i write always ends up being about sex... i haven't been able to write good poetry since i hit puberty.

Name: Matt Venon Age: 26 Gender: Male Appearance: click Talents: Matt has psychic abilities involving touch, he can look back on certain objects of significance and see the past simply by touching them. he is also a detective, which is his normal means of employment so he has three important tricks of the trade observation, knowledge, and deductive reasoning. Character Background: Matt was always involved with he detective agencies and police because of his ability to somehow solve the cases of vile criminals by simply touching a murder weapon. "the psychic kid" was normally called in on cases that stumped the men who were paid to find answers. this brought him to many crime scenes. He learned a lot about detective work by lending a hand in countless cases, as well as finding a familiarity with death. As he grew, he could think of no other occupation that could take his mind off of solving cases, so he became a detective himself. Personality: Sarcastic and grumpy are the two main adjectives that frequent the surface of Matt Venon, but the people he is closest to know a third side, compassionate. Anything this man holds dear, he holds on to for dear life. Equipment: A mini laptop that has 3G and a wireless card allowing internet access at almost all times, which is good because he frequently browses the internet to "add to my personal data-banks" as he often says. he has a black carrying case for it, and he is never without his trench coat. Being part of law enforcement, he has a semi-automatic pistol with him.

The way hope transformed was one of the many things he had to keep an eye on. Attakiru could not track a demon, so the prospect of joining a group was most appealing. “I do not care who ends that fiend, however I will make sure that he meets it,” as Attakiru spoke he became all too aware of the uncommon fog., “I will fight with Hope, what says the rest of you?” Attakiru drew his Odachi in his usual flying fashion. Louise was the first to respond, he drew two daggers and raised one, ”I will see the vile demon slain and I personally will see the lady Hope is kept from harm!” Lucas had already started to focus his energy, electricity surging through his hands, “not the time for being dramatic Louise, just ready yourself for battle.” Ayeika left her rapier at her side but she looked just as prepared to fight as the others, “does anyone know what is approaching us? I can feel a large presence, but I cannot see it.” “most peculiar hum Shnorkel feels... Dirt, dirt, dirt! Shnorkel feels it with his feet. They come from the dirt they do!” He drew an arrow and placed it in a ready to use position. He moved around, trying not to stand in any one place in case the emergence point was directly below him. Hope was the last to ready herself. She drew no weapon, but like Ayeika, her aura seemed to change to a more malevolent nature, “so this is how it begins? So be it, I will slay all my fathers minions if it brings my Michelo is free. I welcome all your aid but do not get in my way either, this is important to me and I will it through.” The earth cracked, and from the craters came a fowl stench that could mean only one thing. “Undead…” muttered Louise, “why are we being attacked by these fowl creations?” “The king we knew ruled over more than just people” Hope stated. “King pick bad people to consort with, Shnorkel doesn’t even like them this close… they smell…” he shot an arrow, it flew straight through one zombies head and shattered the sternum of another located behind him. “Yes, lets rid ourselves of this filth” Attakiru lunged into a crater filled with zombies. He let his sword drag behind him, then at the last second swung at a group of undead. The first zombie struck by the sword exploded from the force of impact, the second third and fourth zombie in his blades path were cut from the arms through the ribcage and then through the other arm respectively. Attakiru then continued on to the next group. Louise leaped off his horse and darted after Hope who was already casting energy waves at the zombies. While Louise was running to Hope he sees a dark crystal located in each zombies forehead, shoulders and the nape of the neck. With expert precision he made short work of the zombies around hope by stabbing the gems, like he hypothesized they were thee source of the dark magic that animates the corpses. He turned to Hope, she gave him a smile before going back to blowing the zombies apart with concussive blasts. Lucas and Ayeika had taken a position between two craters, they were at each others backs, “use only moderate level spells sister, we do not know how much we can reveal to these people yet” lucid said as he cast chain lightning from his hands. It looked as if a lightning bolt was arcing from one zombie to the other, but it was a very short period between each jump so anyone without keen eyes would have only seen the undead fall one at a time, but in quick succession. “Using any more than my basic spells would be a waist of energy.” with a deap breath she let loose a bellow of horrific magnitude, shattering the bones of the walking dead, and rendering them helpless. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was not long until the foe was crushed. “We need to make our way,” Lucas said as he approached the others, Ayeika was beside him to his left, Hope was listening attentively in front of him. Louise was at her side, looking a bit tired, but still paying attention, Shnorkel and his pet were sitting on the ground on the other side of Louise, determining which arrows out of the ones he salvaged could be used again, and Attakiru was on his right hand side cleaning his giant sword with a scaled leather strap, as he ran through the length of the blade the grime from its recent victims seemed to vanish entirely, revealing a symbol. It was a “K” overlaid upon a snowflake. Lucas’ eyes widened with shock. He quickly composed himself, but when he looked back at Attakiru, he could see that he was now under close surveillance. “Shnorkel knows many paths, he does! Were does lady Hope fancy going?” Shnorkel seemed to be rather pleased with the arrows he had selected and was ready to be off. They all were ready.

I got this, but i am using your characters a bit... i will try not to mess anyone up and i am welcoming editions of course, but now that we are in a group it will be close to impossible to avoid it. -
Fix'd.
thanks... i knew i missed something! now.... back to my silly dance...
I was actually going to ask for clarification of "trainer". 'Cause really , there are probably a vast array of people who actually own and "train" the critters, whether it be professionally, as amateurs, for a hobby, or just as pets. It's a lot broader scope than just labeling people as Trainers.
okay... this is what started it... i thought we were trying to figure this out... i had no idea you guys already knew what you wanted, i am not hurt, and i am not insulted. however when you say things like explain, why and even i dont know how that got in your head, i thought you wanted me to try and re-post my thoughts clearly. bottom line is its your rp and i will follow whatever you say... so even if you say things like "being modified to appear slightly more realistic" is different than changed, and "a natural guard dog left untrained would die defending its master if the assailant had a gun because the dog had not been trained what to do around firearms." which is exactly what i said last post, what YOU say is what i go off of. I dont want you to think my opinion matters at all, since it does not, however when asked i will give it. now the reason i wanted to post this s not because i am mad or hurt, but it is something to defend myself. your deconstruction of my points in these last few posts are valid, but i dont want people reading this to feel like i wasted their time, since it was not entirely my fault. this waist of time came from asking people something you already knew the answer to. just by asking me why, instead of saying no, I was forced to defend my opinion that you had already known was wrong. I don't care why you did that, and you dont have to explain it to me, just consider that when you look back, so that you can see why i was so pressed on being understood.

the only way i beat him in the first game was reviving my electrode and exploding him. very cheap... but he was the only pokemon i had that was fast enough to go first... and i wanted to win... i think i beat two of his pokemon legit.. well... i hope i wont suck as bad when i fight him this time around.
i am training an elctrode though... just in case :P
okay... i tried my best to explain my thoughts, what dont you get? lets place it as simple as possible 1. i think pokemon should be able to fight no matter who owns them. this means that in war, a pokemon power-plant workers pikachu could still zap the hell out of another pokemon should war come to their doorstep, which i think it would if the rp is about a war. 2. since no one seems to agree with me, i proposed an idea. instead of stopping the pikachu from zapping people, make it so the owner cannot tell him to zap them. this idea was based on guard dogs in real life. I have a bulldog sleeping right next to me, and even though he could probably break bones in that jaw of his i couldnt order him to attack anything. had i been a guard dog 'trainer' i could have taught him how though. the dog has the same capabilities but the person does not so... if you guys dont want everyone with pokemon to use them in battle limit the trainers instead. make it so the only people who can fight with them people who specifically train them to do so for either the Olympic style gyms or as hobbies, that way pokemon can be integrated in society, still be able to have power, and limit the number of people who fight with them so that there wont be a bunch of fishermen, hikers and lasses fighting on the front lines. i was just trying to be helpful....
-
right, but just because you dont have to doesnt mean you cant. sure, the fire pokemon can light a candle, but if they can light a candle, why not another pokemon? I am not saying that pokemon have to fight, i am saying they should all have the ability to do so. also the trained dog thing was just an idea for if you wanted the pokemon who weren't used by trainers to not be able to fight. i may be wrong but you seem not to agree with my thinking, so i just wanted to give a plausible solution for your side. it has nothing to do with moves, its just a way to lower the number of trainers/people that can use pokemon in fights. its more of a real life approach, but i dont think you guys mind that one. i was just thinking its easier to change the trainers capabilities than it is to change pokemon. I would sooner believe that a person cant order the fire pokemon to attack than the fire pokemon not being able to attack... i mean... it shoots friggen fire...
-
yeah, this is your rp, so dont let me change your mind, i tend to stick to the anime and games more closely than most people here. I just don't see how a pokemon with abilities like fire, lightning and poison or whatever, couldn't be used for battle. when the creators of pokemon made them it was there intention to have them fight each other. anime, manga, games, cards.... they all are the same, i would say the only pokemon thing not meant for violence is the figurines. this is your story though so if you want pokemon that cant fight, why not? you could say that only trainers can make them attack at will. in real life you cant comand your cat to attack people no matter how much it likes you, however people who train dogs for protection can. it has nothing to do with the cat not listening to you, it just means you never told it to do it before, so it doesn't know what your asking right now.

if you look at just stats though it has waaaay more problems than benifits. however my favorite non-legendary pokemon is a normal type. and one thing normal does have is strong attacks. nothing looks pretty after a hyperbeam from my porygon-Z with adaptability as its special ability, plus its normal type advantage the 150 becomes a 300. thats the same damage as an explosion attack to put it in perspective. and as for bugs, theres the pokemon with wonderguard... and moves like U-turn... plus a butterfree with compound eyes will never miss with sleep powder. i think the worse the type the better the special abilities are.
I wish you could hear yourself....
it just sounds like a bunch of clicks to me, but i meant for it to come off as a bit of slapstick humor... especially with that corny pun. its just text though... don't put too much tone in it or it can be misunderstood completely.
-
Why?
well, they may not intend to use their pokemon for fighting purposes, but whatever it is they do with their pokemon, they are still meant for battle by nature. every pokemon learns how to fight as it grows, and everything they do can be used in battle. they could have a charmander that they have around just to light the logs in their fireplace, but it could still light another pokemon on fire the same way. from the moment these things whip there tails around they learn how to fight, so when war breaks loose and people have no choice, they could tell there pokemon to do what they do best. its like they have a knife. you can use it for preparing food, opening things, or killing people. some people may just want to use that knife for opening boxes, but it doesnt take away its ability to kill. I dont know what separates the trainers pokemon from the average, and its especially murky since there is no levels, or any way to show differences in strength that i can see... but unless you stop pokemon from being what they are, anyone who has one should be able to use it in a battle.

flying pokemon that are non legendary have almost no defense other than special defence, so an earthquake oriented pokemon could probably kill any bird just by using a different type move. grass pokemon are well rounded defense wise usually and some have high special attack for solar beam. I love tag battles with a fire grass start. have one use sunny day then my grass pokemon (a lot of them have a special ability that works with sunny day active too) and use a same type solar beam to iinsta-KO most pokemon that a grass attack isnt weak against. its only problem is the amount of things resistant to it, however most grass pokemon have the ability to learn moves that can poison, paralyze, or put pokemon to sleep. when i run into a bad type i just toxic or paralyze and switch. and if we are talking about bad types, how about normal? 4 resistant types with no super effective? it has weaknesses but no strengths!

The lightning bolts daze seem to have faded and Attakiru was able to think clearly again.
