i like it a lot... the name is kinda hard to read though... also it looks pretty bright and her noes and mouth are being eaten up... but that could just be the art style for all I know.

I made the entire endless waltz set from Gundam Wing... plus a few random models... but I have not made one for about eight years.

the floating head syndrome (I need to use that from now on) comes from the opacity issues I think. the dark background blends the dark reds and shaded portions of her arms much better than the lighter hair clors and her pale face. this makes her head and hair stand out much more than the rest of the body. as for the hair blur, It doesn't look like the right spots got focused on... the jagged spots still look close to the same. you can use a blur brush heavily, just stick to the outline of the figure. its all optional of course.

yeah, you cant really argue with parents... however when you get to school you could always go to the nurse, they have to send you home if you have a fever. (that or keep you there till you are picked up -_-)

the colors seem to match her eyes more than anything else...which is kinda cool... but my main issue is the girls hair has giant jagged edges were the hair flows into the background... blur is your friend. as for opacity issues, you can see were some stuff got discolored. when this happens to me I do one of two things: 1, alter the opacity in sections, the spots where the discolorations happens can be made more solid (also photoshop lets you alter the fill of the layer. you can sometimes use that instead of opacity, giving different effects) 2, alter the background. offen these discolorations occur from certain anomalies in the background, and you can get rid of them by taking a color that works, and replacing it with the one that does not work. or the third thing is just leave it... some spots don't look all that bad, and with editing I always say that you are never finished, you are just close enough. (you can always find something to make a little better, but you can ask yourself if you need to or not... if it looks good and you like it... you made it close enough)

I do remember learning how to write a letter twice in school though (English classes are so repetitive here) so it is part of school curriculum. Honestly though... being proficient at typing has more benefits in my eyes than having penmanship skills. and for all we know the stupid teenager text lingo could become the new shorthand. (it makes more sense then shorthand does.) aahhh yes... socialization skills are not helped by this... meeting people has a far different feel then speaking with people through letters or texts. however, people seek out social bonds.. there is no way that someone who texts is going to all of a sudden turn into a recluse.... its against human nature and is a theory based on faulty logic.

Emails are already an extremely easy way to communicate. the only thing I am worried about is people loosing the ability to write with there hands... Its been a long time since i actually wrote a letter. As far as loosing the ability to write because of texting just doesn't make sense. you write a lot more often then in the past when people used phones to call people d:

I have seen a ton of those in art classes... but I always do things on a whim. I doubt a resource folder could ever be big enough for me... i would always need something else.. its a great idea though... just not for me... I would put all the stuff in and never use em.

[/quote] I agree that the 360 controller design seems to supplement shooters rather than hack and slash (I mean... two gun triggers?) but I like the weight of the 360 and the form fitting aspect rather than the plank style the ps controllers have. I think most of what to but the console for is game choices. xbox if you like playing online with friends (yes they both have online play... but nothing beats xbox live's community) playstation if you like HD graphics, sports games and blu-ray movies. also.,.. it kinda depends on which exclusive games you like better. Play station has Metal Gear, Xbox has Halo (dont think the series is done just yet.... I hear studio 343 is working on a Halo Combat Evolved remake.) PS has God of war (Dante's Inferno is no substitute) Xbox has Gears of war (Vanquished is no substitute) The list goes on, but I am sure you will figure out which games you will like better. As for my opinion... get an xbox... I need more friends in Halo!

As for text in itself, look for true-types on the internet that match your theme.[url="http://www.1001freefonts.com/"]1001[/url] is a site I use a lot. also the trick to make great text is trying tons of stuff out. once you have a base text, you can do more advanced tricks with that. write something, then make a duplicate layer, and move it slightly (a pixel or two) then turn the top one into a type of overlay, you will get some really cool effects. (as for moving the text... try selecting the movement tool and using the arrow keys)

I could teach you what i know... but I need to know what editing software you are using. as for rando comments on the current sig... welll i like the art and the part of the picture you used. as for the border the black lines are actually kinda destracting when they are that big. I would use four pixels tops if you are just doing a one color border.
