I definitly eat too many frozen burritos. they are 25-33 cents at the store so they fit into my cheap first meal budget. I steal tons of taco bell hot/verdi sauce to make them tasty. Usually I stick with my instant ramen/egg/bacon bits meal though. Also another quick food I eat is steamed rice. I can't eat it all the time, but I usually can fill up on just that and be happy.

I hope we start associating futer with Boo from now on. :] Him and Korey really created the magic behind it anyways!

"The CaNz" kinda makes me sound like a mob boss! Maybe I should do a name change. d: I think you'd enjoy it YuGi. Let me know what you think once you're done.

I'd click on an ad every day to get that carmelladancin theme back. The looks I would get whenever people caught a glimpse of it was priceless.

My roommate is playing Xenonauts so I decided to give XCOM another spin (so we can both b**** about highly trained soldiers missing point blank shots.) I have a very particular style when it comes to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I think assault is just the best class by far, so my team is a 5 assault 1 medpac support deal. Half of them use shotguns, half use rifles, And I use mostly scopes to ensure point blank double shots. I also really like the stealth armor, so I can ambush people by placing the whole team right next to unsuspecting enemies. What kind of teams do you like? Whats your favorite class?

Yep! I am just so selfless and definitly didn't do this because I was bored and waned to try out a browser based editing program.

Most people who regularly browse the internet watch YouTube, but what gets watched tends to vary from person to person. I think it might be interesting to find out what your top three favorite youtube channels are. You can also give a quick description or why you like them if you want. My favorite is Idea Channel. Occasionally Mike willl cover anime and games (which is how I found the channel) but really what draws me is the philosophy he correlates to modern culture. He kinda has a Vsauce/vlogbrothers kinda style, but his content is less science and more conjecture. I also really like Game Theory. Overspeculation is the name of the game. Matt strings together game information from any legitimate source, no matter how rediculious the figures become in order to make a compelling point. Usually this makes the physics of game worlds crumble... but sometimes he creates possible conspiracy theory storylines which I tend to believe. Lastly Veritasium is something I always wait for. I paid attention in physics class so I haven't learned much from the channel scientificlaly, but I love watching Derek teach strangers about the rules that govern our universe. I have used his methods to teach my 8 year old cousin about inertia, my 6 year old cousin about gravity, and my grandpa about global warming. If you don't have a favorite channel you can post favorite videos instead!

Between all my roommates I have gotten to play all three main consoles. I found both the xbone and the ps4 had very few games that I cared about... and none of them are exclusive titles. I feel steam is a cheaper alternative, or stick with a ps3/360. Wii U on the other hand has tons of games you can't play elsewhere, the tablit controler has its uses, and the graphics compared to the wii are fantastic. I also love my 3ds so I think nintendo is doing great. Oh, I wonder if halo master chief collection is functional yet... I honestly just gave up.

Well here is my first attempt. Hopefully you like it... well... if you ever see it.

Destiny in my opinion is like too much of your favorite bread. It tastes good, and if you don't have anything else to eat it will fill you up, but sooner or later it gets stale, and you probably don't want to eat more bread anyway. I don't really mind that the social, RPG, loot, and story fell short. In the end it was a great shooter with a relitivly fun to explore game world. The thing that I simply can't forgive is the terrible multiplayer. If you are going to lable yourself as primarily a shooter you need to have this. After all the time spent working on Halo did they really think this was a solid experiance? No custom games No map editor No chat options for months Poor class balance Only a handful of gametypes and maps The few maps they had were nothing special. Poor party options Laughably unbalanced teams Rediculous item requirements to play without a disadvantage. I am sure there were more problems but I think I made my point.

I was wondering what characters do, if anything, when they are left off of a mission? I am totally okay with sitting this one out, and I have plenty more backstory content to write about... but during the mission it would be odd to have some people not doing anything. I wrote in an alibi for the time gap for this mission by having Roy make a weapon, but I was wondering if you had a more general rule in mind.

"You have been working too hard Roy, even God took a day to rest. You make mistakes when you are tired." I despised it when Joseph was right, so I constantly attempted to push myself. He was an insufferable pessimist. He declared that I would never graduate top of my class, never attain employment at MacOne, and I most certainly would never achieve anything as prodigious as Adam Clarke's achievements. His assessments were perpetually accurate, however my contumacy was equally unremitting. Besides, I am far too close to hesitate now. "If you aren't here to assist me, go home. I will retire as swiftly as possible given the circumstances." He ultimately complied after pestering me for an eternity. I am not averse to working alone, but a specialized team like MacOne's research division would have simplified this process exponentially. I long for the day when my work awarded me a position with a team of my equals, but when that vision will reach fruition is presently uncharted. The elemental research and development project had consumed six years of my life, and four of Joseph's. Now all that remains is deriving the perfect formula of subatomic particles in order to obtain a functioning element. We decreased the possible blueprints to a few hundred, and this will be attempt number 79. 'I am close now. I can feel it.' The laboratory's sterile desks shimmer as the particles dance inside the high-tech apparatus. The PA-20's monitor casts its eerie green light upon the cream painted walls, flickering steadily. The gentile hum of the fan venting the system fading warned that something might be amiss however the monitor was too captivating. The element assimilated before my eyes in spectacular grace. I didn't even attempt to suppress the tears gushing like blood from a fresh wound. The testing would have to begin tomorrow. My superiors will want to know the formula, and if the element is able to control the mind like my research suggests. I took the current lab results and enclosed them safely in the steel briefcase I constantly carted around. It was company policy to store confidential documents locked inside cases with an acid dispenser trap to prevent tampering. For once the scrupulous regulations are justified since mind control in the wrong hands could be catastrophic. While placing the briefcase on the desk, I caught a glimpse of the walls shifting from somber green to a radiant orange. Rushing to the PA-20, I could see my metal melting into the crevasse of the appliance. A blinding flash superseded by a thunderous explosion shook the confines of the laboratory. Had it not been three am an emergency crew would have rushed in and quarantined the area, however I simply laid there understated among the rubble, with each breath more of the putrid fumes filled my lungs. As I lost consciousness only one thought plagued my mind. 'Joseph was right... I am tired.' PRESENT "Currently we cannot permit you to join the other members of the team. Infiltration missions require stealth, and we are unsure of your ability to remain hidden when you're under the elements control." Geist's concerns were legitimate. Adoctrinar most likely would attempt to abide by the team's strategy, however a temper like his could easily cause problems when caution is desired over action. "I presume there is no point in objecting? If so allow me to return to my studies. If you expect me to be useful in a close quarter scenario I shall require more weaponry than a sniper rifle." "You may leave. Just make sure to be ready when the time comes."

Just for the fun of it, I did a playthrough doing as few missions and skipping as much dialogue as possible throughout all the ME games. In Mass Effect 1 I would of course only do the story missions (so 90% of the game was incomplete) but the most fun was walking right by people calling my name. There are so many instances where people wait for you to speak with them, but you can just leave them all hanging and go save the world. In ME 2 I unintentionally got all but one crew-member killed. I also left Grunt in the tank and never reactivated Legion. In ME3 I just had almost no support for the final mission (since I made sure multiplier was unplayed) but I did manage to still save the world (at the cost of most of my crew, and Shepard himself since only the blow up everything ending was unlocked. Oddly enough it was my favorite playthrough.

I think this is the best non-Ghibli anime movie I have seen so far. I liked the story, characters, (especially Porta, the real hero) and the cool setting. I guess maybe it is Ghibli like in terms of tone and an overbearing moral lesson being crammed into our heads... but I was happy to have a break from globy Ghibli tears. If any of you saw it,what did you think? What is your favorite non-Ghibli movie?

Aww I was hoping I was just chiming in with an unrelated case of psychosis. Oh well.... at least the fantasy version of me could win a fist fight with AlLa. :]

Its funny how trains feel that way. It also helps that there are less safety regulations and more room so people can do whatever they want to pass the time.

I can't even win a diplomacy check in real life. sigh Well from the ad video it looks pretty fun. I am a little overloaded with games right now.. but someday I'll get to it

Am I tweeting to my future self about punching fellow inmates? If so I wan't to play as myself. Well, the tweet format is still compact posts, I don't know if tweet storys could look dark or serious though. That might be a fun change of pace though

This is another reason why you can't sacrifice too much on quality. Trolling can be fun (and a pain to stop) but it can be difficult to know how it effects people. I think the report system probably could have helped back then though. I know at the begining of 2012 I had 2000 posts and still was just a member, but their were older members with the title, some less than 1500. I think Des was right and there was a time qualification. I disagree. In my opinion, the reason why likes or karma work as a motivator is because they grant recognition over a large scale. A person who has a bunch of upvotes looks good because no one knows how they got them, and in general they are given out in mass by people of similar opinions. in a discusion board like this we have a small and diverse user group that seeks to reward good forum manners and participation, not a mimed opinion. Also in order for new members to catch up they have to immediatly start posting great things that all old members deem worthy. I could see new people being frusterated that their post gets less likes than Peties. Maybe his posts are better... but I think popularity and total veiws will give people an edge. I think rewards should be more visable. Maybe give people icons for doing things (achievment style) and have mods pass them out to new members. Complete an RP? unlock this, Made a 5 page discussion on GD? unlock that. With this method, time spent can be focused or wide spread, and you can have members constantly working towards a goal that will make them "equal" not "less likes than old/popular people but more than new/innactive people" I think I must have a gift for spelling errors. Most people seem ticked off when they catch them in other peoples posts... but everyone gets a kick out of mine. Whether happens to be one of the many words my brain has pathed wrong for some reason. If I just write or type it out I always mispell it first then realize its one of my words and fix it. The worst of them is sign. I have no idea how many times I have had to delete 'h' and replace it with 'n'. The Irony is lost on me, but I mean't no offense to GoMe. She may never have liked me, but there is nothing wrong with that. So.... do you consider me your idiot friend that you hold back on account of my feelings? or do you just not feel its worth the time to argue with me? I could see the latter happening, but doesn't it feel better to make me regretably agree with you than get gratification from your peers by speaking your mind only to them? I just don't see how holding back helps things.

I hope you get your train James. Personally I don't mind the speed diference, but long distance planes require less infrastructure. Planes don't cover small scale trips though, so long distance trains could get you closer to your destination. I remember hearing about planes like that a while ago. I love the idea of making the world closer, but that plane just builds on current plane's pros, yet still keeps the cons. I am not sure how society would deal with that kinda tech. If it was limited to certain hotspots or you could track and control were people go it might work... but if tomorrow we could all freely teliport the world as we know it would be destroyed. Possessions would be impossible to keep, countries boundrys would be meaningless, and the only punishments able to be administered would be pain, disfigurement, and death... which sounds like a fantastic setting for an RP.

Sometimes I get hungry halfway through discussion posts, but if I take too long cooking I lose my train of thought... or maybe I am just lazy. This thread is all about what you eat when you are too lazy to get good food. As for me I went to cooking school, and over the years I have learned how to cook quite well. I still get lazy though. I am sitting here eating a baked yam dipped in melted butter mixed with brown sugar. The hardest thing I did was put 15 seconds on the microwave and hit START. Your turn 0B!

Well this happens when I throw around misdirected accusations and fail to set up guidelines. Everything I said was heard and now I initiated a conversation that apparently everyone has a lot to say about. I wish I had more knowladge on the topic or solutions, but I am just some guy who likes talking. What I can do is give a perspective that is different from most of you here. Weither or not that perspective is useful or not is debatable. Anyways growing up happens to all of us, but I think you make it sound like you are responsible for the site tanking when you took time off. Being busy is an inevitability. We shouldn't rely on people like Shy to come back and spur activity. Essentialy the problem lies with new members not being in position to or not motivated to take over. Maybe it was still your fault... but not growing up would be an unreasonable solution. Its actually more my fault when you look at it like that. I was able to be here and wasn't... and some new members would come here primarily for me, and that trend may have continued if I stayed. I don't remember grammer badgering here, but that still didn't stop me from thinking I had to be on my A-game to post something you couldn't instantly shred. Maybe 50% to you was my 110% but thats just how it felt. This feeling wasn't exclusive to you... BeTh and Kei were the same... you just had a general negative aftertaste at the end of your replys that I would do anything to avoid. Then there were also people like (San)GoMe that I found impossible to please no matter what I did. Unfortunatly changing who you are or even the habits you have can be a diservice. I have no intentions of becoming friends with an Allamorph that just looks the other way when I post a falacy ridden opinion in capslock. You also probably don't want to be forced to remain silent just to prevent your idiot friend from getting his feelings hurt. I like the semi-friendly relationship we have now though, and I hope you can at least stomach it. Instead of changing members and the boards, there probably should have been rewards as James said. There especially should have been short term rewards for new members. Its hard to drive people used to low quality posts to preform to OBs standards for nothing but a title in 2,000 posts. That brings up another set of questions though... what could you give them, and what is worth rewarding?

With the recent crash in Taiwan, I have been doing some thinking about planes, and in my opinion we should work towards other methods of transportation. Planes do a lot of things well. They are fast, pretty comfortable, they serve food, and have generally friendly staff once you are on(though even now they are all female.) Overall its usually not a bad ride though. Airports however are a pain. weather often delays or cancels flights, and the jam packed runways make taking off and landing time consuming, but mostly just annoying. It may be just my 9/11 bias, but I don't think they are too safe. I know driving is way worse, but we drive a lot more often, and sometimes Impaired. Pilots also are supposed to be highly trained, and they often have help from a co pilot or their control center... drivers can just be a 16 year old. Crashes still manage to happen, and those are deadly. I know I just talked about solar panels... but Jet fule is both expensive and harmful for the environment. there is no way I can think of to generate enough thrust to fly using alternatives though. Maybe someday... but no time soon. If we don't use planes how do we get places? Driving isn't much better after all. Well I think the answer comes from the past. Historys most popular mass transit systems: boats and trains. Boats are still used to transport cargo, so why not people? For a vacation why not spend the first few days taking it easy cruise style. It may take longer, so some buisness people wouldn't like it, but I know boats can acess the internet from the cruise I went on like 10 years ago. as for the environment, its a lot easier to move a boat using wind and clean electricity than a plane. Also if it gets less dangerous neuclear subs would be cool. The real improvements could come from trains though. Their are some really cool high speed trains out there, and electric power is the way to go. There are basicly no train accidents other than users finding dumb ways to die. Trains can be large to fit lots of people, and you could just hire workers to make it like an airplane. If we set up a renewable energy train system, travel in the future may even be free! if so we could easily see our grand kids, and if they make online friends on a forum it would be easy to meet. EDIT: I forgot to set guidlines for the discussion. This isn't a thread about the Taiwan crash, so if you wanna talk about your reaction to it and post the youtube videos make your own thread. This is a thread about transportation and the direction you think humanity should move towards... or you can tear my ideas appart.
