I can see why you wouldn't want to manage other people and stifle their creativity, but this whole cocept is about getting the most out of a very suppresive format. You forcing a congruent theme between points isn't going to hurt. Plus if you don't try and make your idea a reality, who will? If you wanted to colaborate on it you could probably post here. Even Boo is being helpful so I am guessing this thread is magical.

The more you guys talk about it, the less fun the old glory days sound. I like talking about anime as much as the next guy, but if I wanted to just be scoffed at and berated each anime usually has a large dedicated forum filled with stubborn zealots. Even when I got here some cliques were very visable, and its quite hard for a new member to try to jump into a conversation with mods that have been doing this for years (fortunatly I have a very inflated sense of self-worth for some reason.) That being said typicly there was very little animosity towards people who were new, and I was never banned from anything based on who I talked with. Cliques in my opinion are not a bad thing unless people are not able to join. This reminds me of a story about my highschool clique. Feel free to skip it.
We had a tight group that new eachother from 8th grade, but half way through 10th grade Orcus introduced an 11th grader to our group. He simply introduced Brady and then told him to hang out with us. Orcus then left and went back to doing whatever it is popular people do in highschool. For the first few weeks it was pretty weird with him around. He was very mellow and slow compaired to the rest of us, and since we all had history together he had trouble relating at times. We never excluded him though, and when we invited him to hang out off school grounds we got to see his good qualities. He wasn't that funny, but he laughed easy. He was always willing to do the activities that the group wanted, and he was always a good sport when he lost. Brady is probably most known for being generous to a fault. We tried not to take advantage of him, and no one asked him for stuff, but when we were broke, and he wanted Ice cream or food or to go to the movies... he would gladly cover them just so they could enjoy it with him. I learned a lot about being a good friend from him, and to this day our group calls paying for another friends meal "the Brady Treatment". We found out later that Brady had come from a group full of heavy drug users and they did general bad influence stuff. They weren't great friends to him, and he didn't wanna stay... but they were his only friends. upon hearing this Orcus interviened.
Moral of this story is that cliques that allow newcomers in can keep their old friends close, but can also make new friends. It just takes a little work from both sides.

I can't believe how stupid that is! How much of an idiot do you have to be to type 3x7 into google. Typing in 3*7 would plug it right into their calculator.

It pains me to see request going unfulfilled, and your idea seems quite adorable. I am sure you can't wait much longer so I will try to have a first attempt up this weekend.

Wow AlLa... you gave solid advice and you weren't even mean about it.

Well I can still use the quote feature on my xbox browser, and its not the most functional app. In terms of trafic, having 100 people per day seems great, but forums like that all have the same taste. Its usually a bunch of people typing impersonal statements or general opinions. No one puts much effort in because half the time your post goes unread if you are on page two or beyond. The thing I liked most about OB was how everyone was paid attention to. Even new members have a chance to make themselves known. I like the idea of OB being active again, but I want to see people stick around, not develope a great revolving door. PRP definitly doesn't provide much content, but it was another thing active members could participate in. Anyways its good to hear from you again James. I can't say I remembered it off my own memory PiRo, but when your name pops up on the front page it makes sending pms easy! ^~^ You can consider superstar status a present from the boards... that you paid for with time...

XII was the best IMO. I liked all the characters, the story was great, and that game has the best real time rpg combat so far. Its like KoTOR on steroids. It had soooo much content as well... including an hour long boss battle! º^º

I guess just because people here generaly watch anime or read manga, they don't do every nerdy thing. It was worth a shot though. I could google Knights of Pen and Paper, but I'd rather just convince you to tell me how the two are related. (I have a +5 mod to diplomacy)

I am pretty sure overused character tropes are the writers fault... not the mega post format. It just feels worse to read a three page post about a grumpy, misunderstood demigod than a tweet about one.

I actually liked that. It is certainly no Rammstein but its somber feel makes me wanna take a long walk into a rainstorm. Of course if you can find tons of good vocaloid metal. if you search Hagane Miku you won't even need to dig deep.

Gundam probably doesn't win any top manga awards, but they have been consistantly good from my childhood to present... which is more than I can say for any other media from back then (except maybe sailor moon)

Your dota story seems similar to mine, though I assume you had better self control and paid attention to your friends once in a while. porn addiction could probably be its own topic, since I think peoples opinions on it vary. Some think its gross and immature, others think of it as neutral and generaly harmless and people like me see it as a good thing. I personaly hate thinking like a pervert, especialy towards strangers. If I use porn, I can clear my mind and speak like a normal person.

Astroboy for the purists, speed racer for the trendy, Dragon Ball for the "before it was cool" and for all the rest just pick evangeleon.

I think it actually sounds challenging. I am on here a few times per day now, but most people log on once per day, and skip from time to time. Even though people could post whenever they log in, it would take weeks for even a basic story to unfold, and it would be a mash up of all our writing styles. I won't run from the challenge though. I would suggest keeping the story simple yet flexible, like a dungeon crawler, or a murder mystery.

We have a winner! If we can't change it for ShIn just make everyone an O'Taco!

NOT Soul Eater this review has some general spoilers This anime drove me a bit insane. I loved the original Soul Eater, and the atmosphere and world it took place in but NOT was different. I was totally tricked when I watched it. The original started off as a creepy action anime, and when things got dark I really was into it. NOT however started off as a super cute and pretty funny slice of life anime using the awesome SE setting. When it got dark I was thrown for a loop. When you have a mood set for happy, childhood friendship building and self advancement, taking those same characters and throwing them into hell is just crule. I kinda put this in the same catagory as Madoka, But less constant dispare and slightly less brutal (Both shows made me have to pause and leave just to process what was shown at times.) With that said, anything able to draw out that kinda emotion has got to be a fantastic story. I really liked it, even if it tugged to hard on the heartstrings at times.

Thank you! I made it myself. I have a whole series of old banners from Majora's Mask. It seemed to me like you had good intentions, but the first post plug is often a red flag, but I am glad you turned out to be human. :D

On a sunny day I probably would wanna ride under the shade of trees. Putting a bike path by the trees makes sense, and its a nice view during the ride. Of course I would rather have my expensive solar panels absorbing all the sunlight those trees are eating up... but hey, to each their own.

Why did they build it right next to a wall of trees?

As a Gundam fanboy I usually judge other Mecha media too harshly, but I do like AYNiK. I would not wanna be keiji though.

I was a little sad that there were not more new members to talk about manga with, but now you made my day. :] Welcome to the fray pal. I just have two questions. Who was the friend, and what kinda guitar(s) do you have? 'u'

You post 'em and I'll read 'em. Deal? I don't know a thing about how to make good poems, but I can give you a baseline for how your audiance may react.

Metal + silly situation= fun game. I think we have all the evidence needed. edit: I just beat FFXIII-2 today. I didn't think it could end very strongly given the fact that the game was about paradoxes. I actually ended up liking it though. Its cliffhanger ending sold a copy of lightning Returns for me too... but not any time soon. there is still so much post game to do. Overall its been a great ride. I found it funny that the first game had Lightning and Snow chasing after Sarah and saving the world in the process, and then Sarah does the same for them in this one.

I honestly don't know if I would have shaken the habit if my computer didn't die. That first step in AA where people have to admit they are addicted isn't there to make them look bad. It helps them realise that they are addicted, so they can change. I never knew in the first place.
