In bleach when rukia [spoiler]]told ichigo not to follow her when she was captured by renji and byakuya[/spoiler], and then when orihime [spoiler]almost kissed ichigo before going to hueco mundo[/spoiler]; those are kind of obvious though; they're supposed to be really sad I was really moved in black lagoon in the yakuza arc when the girl [spoiler]who was taking over the washimine clan[/spoiler] talked about the night. it really made me think about how darkness is always used to represent evil, but it can also be beautiful.

gotta love lagann from Gurenn Lagann. I mean, it can take over other gunmen, for cripes sake. since its powered by one's state of mind, id just listen to some metal and get really freaking pumped and BAM! pull out the giga drill

yeah, i like it better when its subtley in there. sometimes the storyline is based on mythology, like rise of the argonauts (which i havent finished yet), and that can be fun, though i feel like i know what's going to happen.

id be ichigo from bleach. he's so powerful just naturally, which is kinda cheap cause other soul reapers have to work at it for centuries, but i don't care. plus i have rukia and orihime to choose from. that part would make my head explode

last spring break my friends showed me bleach. they had been trying to get me to watch it for a while, but i didn't want to because i never saw anime before and all i knew about it was from stereotypes and parodies. our other mutual friend watched it, and he loved it, so i caved. i ended up watching the first two seasons in about 24 hours. those same friends then introduced me to black lagoon and code geass (the only other two ive seen). so i owe my love for anime to them

i like the show, but i see where people are coming from when they say its very metaphory. it's not very realistic in that most of the characters aren't regular people, they are symbols, sort of. it is kind of thought provoking. like, if the government is corrupt, should you try to take it down and remake it (lelouch) or try to change it from within (suzaku)? anyway, my friends showed me the first season on the internet, but failed to mention that the second season is nowhere to be found. they saw season 2 on tv. so here i am, waiting indefenitely on a cliffhanger. sigh.....

i think its really original, and more realistic, in that the guy who is dropped into the action packed life isn't automatically a bad***. at first i thought the show was just crazy fights and fanservice (not that i have a problem with these; i love 'em), but it has some really deep themes. can't wait till season 3!

what if i have lots of friends, but all the ones i hang out with the most also like anime? i don't have a lot of "normal" friends to gauge myself off of. i don't see myself as a nerd at all really. i only started liking anime, like, a year ago. my brother is one of those haters who thinks its stupid and refuse to even try to like anime. i will admit, though, that i do tend to get obsessed about something when i first watch it. like with bleach, my first anime, i watched the first two seasons at a friends house in one weekend. it was all i could think about for a few weeks. is that normal? i think that just happens with anything you immerse yourself in too much. ill also admit that i do sometimes compare my life to anime. its really boring, but im still mostly happy. some people get really disconnected from reality and become unsatisfied with their lives, and i think thats the stereotype most people think of, someone who always lives in fantasy. and i dont think thats just with anime, it can happen with any escapist entertainment.

i just finished season one of code geass, but now i cant find season 2 anywhere! cliffhanger! GAH! I watched black lagoon this summer. i loved it. a lot of just pure fan service, but some kinda deep stuff too. and of course bleach

what is the most disturbing thing you have seen in an anime? i usually go with dubs, but thats just because i usually see a show in english first. it bothers my friends that i wait for the english episodes of bleach to come out, cause theyre [I]way [/I]ahead of me. i just cant bring myself to watch with the japanese voices

i love grimmjow from bleach. he is like the arrancar version of kenpachi. how can you not like a guy who stabs people with his [I]hand[/I]? id never use my zanpakuto, id just be handstabbing people left and right

i love bleach insanely much, since it was my first anime. however, the bount arc almost ruined it for me. sure, there were some good fights, and the last several episodes were pretty good, but other parts i HATED. modsouls. annoying villains ([COLOR=white]the little possessing flower, the girl with the sword and fan, metal spider chick[/COLOR]). mostly what bothered me was the lack of power ups; i mean, everyone got crazy powerful in a relativley short time with the soul society arc. with the exception of [COLOR=white]rukia and her gradually returning kido and renjis non canon bankai move (the sweet impale then explode thing),[/COLOR] nobody got any stronger for almost 50 freaking episodes! there, my rant is over anyway, im so happy to be back in the real plot! i know im way behind the whole "[COLOR=white]fight their own zanpaktous[/COLOR]" arc, but i am loving life again. i just hope this stuff with orihime isnt just a redo of the soul society arc. btw, my first post!
