Snowcat leaned forward to be able to whisper to the Scarlet Mistress so that the other people around them couldn't hear. "Shek Lu must go down in this impending war", Snowcat hissed. "You can't bail out on your promise!" "But it's too dangerous!" the Mistress exclaimed. "This war upon us is no joke, Ten. We can't risk our Brotherhood's future for your petty vengeance! If Shek Lu still lives when the war is over, you can challenge him. I will support your ascension to his place." "You know I have nothing against that bastard in a duel! Now's our chance to get rid of him, once and for all!" Snowcat retorted. He was getting frustrated, but the Scarlet Mistress was obviously scared. "He is already suspicious of us, Ten, and this certainly isn't the safest place to discuss these matters. My life is at stake here as well, so I will hear no more of this from you." The Scarlet Mistress rose to leave. Snowcat stood up and nodded to her in respect. "Good night, Ten." Snowcat watched as the Scarlet Mistress left the lounge, then he walked to the Willow Fairy, taking his most charming smile. "Can I thank the hostess once again for the magnificent gifts you provided for me?" Snowcat said, bowing his head. Luyii Chou covered her smile with her hand. "You flatter me, Mr. Wu. I hope you have enjoyed our hospitality. It's rare for two Brotherhoods to interact so openly." "Yes, thank you. It is true that this is rare, but trust me, only together we are able to bring down the Infinite Longevity. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take my leave." "Oh? So soon? Well then, have a safe trip home", the Willow Fairy said politely. Snowcat knew he would need every good wish he could get, because for him, this war was being fought in two fronts. As he stepped into the night, he wished that the Scarlet Mistress would be safe as well, for she was his only ally.

Group Three Angela Godspeed - or at least that's what her name was translated to - watched as Etamet, a man with peculiar dark skin, pushed open the double doors. As they gazed into the darkness beyond the doorway, lights started to appear into the ceiling three by three, revealing a large hall with no windows. There was only one other door, in the opposite side of the great hall. Angela streched her murky brown wings. She felt constrained in these narrow halls, not being able to soar through the orange skies of her world. She also missed her weapons, since the people surrounding her looked awfully suspicious. The group of ten people consisted mostly of females, but there were a few males as well. Angela liked these odds, as she was used to women being in control. The Wingrus System - again, it felt like an artificial term - was ruled by the Great Mother, and Angela Godspeed was proud to be one of Her guardians. Oh how many were those winged souls that she had felled from the heavens before they could reach the Mother! Oh how blessed she felt for being one of the few of her kind to have ever seen the Mother in Her full glory! These wingless people couldn't've known about Her, so Angela would have to treat them as infidels, and preach to them about the salvation She offered. There was but one problem. Angela could not talk, for in her world, there were no words, just thoughts. "Let's go", Etamet said simply, and moved into the hall. Angela watched as he was followed by the man with white hair, the dancer, the little girl and the red haired man, the feline woman, the girl with pink hair and the girl with pointy ears. "Are you coming?" asked a timid young girl with narrow eyes and brown hair. "I am Eloris Renten, what's your name?" Angela just shrugged, making the girl squint her eyes even more. "You're not telling, huh? Well, you can count on me, for I am the apprentice of the mighty warrior Zolo. I will keep you safe." Angela smiled. That girl thought she would need protection - her, the guardian of the Great Mother of Wingrus! But she nodded to Eloris, anyway. They seemed about the same age, and there was something very interesting about the seemingly shy girl who claimed to be a warrior in training. OoC: Please pay attention to the details in Angela's personality I put into the text. Brown wings, no talking.

Group One After seeing the video run on the screen, Katar Dakit was the first of the group of ten people to make it to the door. He started pushing it open, but it was really heavy. "O heavens, thirty seconds!" a voice of a young girl screamed behind her. "What an awful nightmare I am having!" "What is going on?!" a shrill male voice asked in panic. "I don't know, but we have to get out of here and fast!" a woman replied. A few other people rushed to help Katar, and together they got the door pushed open. Everybody ran as far into the corridor as they could. The door swung shut behind them, and then there was silence as everybody stopped. Katar turned around to face the others. It sure was the strangest group of people he had ever seen. Many still had panic in their eyes, some woman was comforting a young girl who had fallen to her knees, but a few of them were calm but alert, their eyes were carefully observing the surroundings and the people around them. Just like Katar. He knew that those few people were the ones who would survive this nightmare with him. In his job as a mercenary he had learned that the strong always survived. Katar Dakir decided to be strong, and let the weak fall before him.

OMG, that video was so kitsch! XD I could even hear you rustling a paper near the ending, DB! Nice beginning, though. The amount of characters is overwhelming, but it's obvious that some characters are instantaneously more interesting than others. This'll be a blast, I'm sure... ;D PS. With this many characters, I don't think Life Cards are needed for a long time...
-
I would do 40) Zeitgeist. I've fancied that word for a long time now. ;D I have started sketching on the piece, and it's gonna have a massive amount of details and symbolism! It is, after all, the "spirit of our time". ;D

Labyrinth is located at the first page of the Community Events forum, since it was part of the Otaku Idol 2 competition. It's about as short as The Maze, really, so everybody should be able to skim through it rather quickly. ;D As for my characters, I'll make them up tomorrow. Now I'm too sleepish to come up with anything good. XP

Please, please put breaks in between your paragraphs, that wall of text is really incomprehensible. Thanks in advance. - Sandy
Lol, bolded black...I think Sandy will kill us if we suggest that. While we're at it though we can go a little further and make it bolded century gothic black =). (j/k Sandy...>.>)
That's it, BKstyles has been evicted from the game. (See rule #34,5: "Messing with the host".) You are not entitled to goodbyes. I have to intervene here, and forbid you to use black as your color. Technically it's not even a color, and it would make it difficult for me to separate your team color-wise from my other text (since I don't use any other colors). So please, pick some other color instead. Black can be used as a secondary color, though, for your flag and such. Thanks!

For the first issue, I say abolish the post order. It's so damn restrictive, and it has a habit of killing good RPGs. Even during this short time, it has considerably slowed down the pace of this game. As for Snowcat's order of business, I'd like him to find out that it was in fact Shek Lu who raped and murdered his mother. I know it's a bit of a cliché, but I think it's better than Snowcat finding out that a total stranger did it. Hmm, would it be too far-fetched if Shek Lu had been under an influence of a similar drug as Dragon's Tongue when he commited the crime seven years ago? Maybe a weaker prototype of the same stuff?

Yay, this is already up! ;D
Because of the life cards, no player is out of the game even if all 3 of their characters are dead. Everyone plays till the very end and even players with no remaining characters will be given Death Cards.
If I understand correctly, you're not going to eliminate the players who have lost their characters. Noble as such, but you will end up having problems with that, since eventually there will be an excessive amount of Death Cards in comparison to characters (meaning no one will survive). I suck at maths, but I'm pretty sure that's what is going to happen. That's also the reason for the extra characters made by the host of the game - they keep the balance. But I'm sure you'll work it out. ;D

I'm sorry to say but your "titan" of a team has been dispersed. BKstyles, White and Ezekiel, you three got a place in the Team Sdraob, so post there in the future. SunfallE, you will join the ex-Mercenaries in Team Ukato. Sakura, your journey in this game is over. The Titans are vanquished but it's members are still alive and kicking. *thread closed*
-
Kathy, Alexa, Bethany and Rachmaninoff, you form the majority of Team Ukato now. Please post to the respective thread from now on. The Mercenaries bow out. *thread closed*
-
Dragon Warrior and Darren, I'm sorry to say that you both have been evicted from the game. The Laugh Out Louds are no more. *thread closed*
-
Tiana and Shy, you are both part of the new Team Sdraob, so please move yourselves to that thread. Team Argo is now officially done with. *thread closed*

Thank you, ex-Mercenaries, for your decisions. It was certainly an exciting one, since the two teams are quite balanced now. Nevertheless... Dragon Warrior... Darren... Mary.... It's time for the three of you to leave the game. It's been a pleasure to have you, and I'm sure we'll all miss the zany LOLs and our always-cheerful Sakura. You are all entitled to one last goodbye post into this thread. Meanwhile, I have a plenty of stuff to do in organizing the new threads. The two new teams will be known as Team Ukato and Team Sdraob until they make up their own names, along with their flags and colors. Don't forget to choose a new captain, as well! ... And the threads are up! And so is the... Seventh Challenge: Teaming Up Again! You know what to do, you've all been there before. So start putting those heads together! Go, Survivors, Go!
What the? He wouldn't let us finish the third part? It was up for four days. Give me a break. :/
Excuse me, but the third theme was up for over a week. The challenge simply took too much time, and I assumed from the slow posting rate that people were starting to run out of ideas. The challenge was never meant to be a full-fledged RPG, anyways. But rest assured, there are plenty of exciting challenges ahead... if you make it there, that is. ;D

I think that a month is an adequate time for one challenge, before it starts hurting the flow of the game. I know some of you were really enjoying this one, so it's a shame to end it so abruptly, but life goes on, and so does OB Survivor 4! Yes, my beloved contestants, it's time to announce which team is the winner of this long yet exciting sixth challenge! I'm sure that you already guess who it's going to be, though. The only team to remain consistently active and showing their true talents in the art of roleplaying is... The Mercenaries Congratulations, Kathy, Aaryanna, Anomaly and Rachmaninoff, you have won a guaranteed spot in the game after the merging of the teams. Furthermore, it's in your hands to decide which players will join which of the two new teams, and which three players will be left out. To make it as clear as possible, ten spots are available in two teams of five, so three players will have to be dropped out. I'm giving you free hands on this one, but you might want to consider each player's individual performance and activity when deciding whether they deserve to continue in the game. You are free to negotiate about the decisions via PMs, but when you've reached the conclusion, send the results to this thread in the following form:
The First Team: 1. member 2. member 3. member 4. member 5. member The Second Team: 1. member 2. member 3. member 4. member 5. member The Evicted Players: 1. player 2. player 3. player
After the result is clear, I will create new threads for the new two teams, and the game will continue like it began: with the creation of new team names, flags and colors. It's time to start a whole new phase in the game. Who will make it there? Let's find out.
Since no-one is going to be able to sit for millions of years and observe the evolutionary process, it will rmeain a theory. Just like creationism. No-one is going to be able to witness God creating the universe (or how he went about this spceifically.)
You don't qualify fossils and bones as evidence of the life millions of years ago? I hope you aren't one of those scary people who believe dinosaurs are the government's invention to disproof creationism... :/
I had thought that everyone else would want to wait a while for the next, seeing as how the Labyrinth and the Maze were so far apart, but if you guys really want another one, I totally call dibs on creating it!
You're free to do that, and here you have at least one guaranteed player. ;D Just be sure to make it at least somewhat different from Labyrinth and Maze, maybe define the setting even more. Just so that we won't end up playing the exact same game all over again.
-
Sigh, I miss this game already... :/ What do you guys think, if there was going to be a similar RPG to this and Labyrinth in the future, should it last longer than three rounds? What other suggestions would you have for it? How many players/characters would be too many, for example? What kind of new cards would you add to the game? Do share your opinions, because who knows, I (or someone else) just might continue the series... ;D
How this has become the great threat to religion seems amusing to me.
But without evolution, gay people and abortion, what would there be left for Christian fundamentalists to fight against? Poverty? Diseases? Wars? Pfft, none of those are even nearly as severe as the first three!
