I went to see the movie yesterday as well, and I gotta say that I liked it, but it could've been better. The same way as any of the previous Spider-Man movies could've. For one, it was overly long, many scenes were just outright pointless. And even though it was an action movie, it had way too long action scenes. But maybe that's just my own preference. In trying to maintain the "cartoony" feel to the movie, most of the characters overacted and were not believable in general. That suited for characters like J Jonah Jameson, but Tobey MacGuire's "bad boy" skit was downright embarrasing. I loved Topher Grace, though, but it might've been just the fact that Eric Foreman had grown into such a hottie. ;D I didn't mind the "triple threat" that Spider-Man confronted, the build-up for the final showdown was quite good, actually. The wide cast of characters brought substance to the movie, although at times it felt like an overly long episode of a tv series. All in all, it was a good wrap-up to the trilogy, they tied the loose ends which is always good. Now the future Spider-Man movies can start from a clean slate. PS. Does New York's subway really have overlapping bridges underground, like in that one fight scene?
The question is, whether all of you wish for me to start the next round tomorrow or Sunday?
Why wait? Why don't we just move on? I say start it on today (Saturday), if you have time for that.
And now that it's looking like there will only be five characters left, four if Darren has a dual death card as well. Even if each person had once character left there's no way all of us would still be in the game. So now I wonder how many of us has no characters under their belt as DB put it.
Don't forget that Rachmaninoff will surely revive two characters at the end of this round as well, so the possibility of us all remaining to the third round is there. I, for one, have no worries about my situation. ;D
Though I suppose we could always poke Sandy with a spork to be sure. :p
Ouch! Yes, it's alright for you to post! I guess I should've left out the domination-part out of the rules since everybody's misunderstanding it. It doesn't mean you have to post exactly the same amount as everybody else, and I'll surely give you a heads up if I see you posting excessively. Also, domination of the story requires more than just posting frequently.

Guys, this RPG is quickly deteriorating below our standards of a decent game. Sloppy, incoherent and overly short posts riddled with typos and grammar issues is not something we want to see here at the Adventure Square. Please shape up and put more effort to your posts, I'm sure that way the game is much more enjoyable for all of you as well. Thanks in advance! -Sandy
I have a question myself after reading all of these stories: Does everyone get married, just to get divorced later on? I mean, I live in the real world, and I know sometimes people can be fickle, but aren\'t marrige vows SUPPOSED to be sacred?
Welcome to reality. Nothing is sacred to humankind, and I don't think anything should be, in any case.
I mean, look at all the trouble divorce causes! Families torn apart, kids all depressed and hating thier parents; it REALLY irks me that so many people can do that to their kids.
I wonder if living in an unhappy marriage causes even more trouble. A divorce doesn't have to be like your example, though. Kids don't have to suffer or start hating their parents, nor do the divorcing couple have to start hating and avoiding each other. Many people just don't get along with each other on the long run - love isn't a stagnant emotion that would stay the same despite the hardships. It needs work and care, but sometimes it's beyond repair. In that case, a divorce is best for everybody. - child of a broken family
My only drawback is deciding who to kill since there are characters I like even though they aren't mine. lol
That's a dangerous road to go into. You should really kill your favorites asap, because otherwise they will turn out to be so likable they eventually win!
It certainly has been more fun that the previous game this one was based on.
I wholly agree. Rach has managed to take Labyrinth into a whole new level, which was only expected. ;D

I'm just cursing the fact that I can't figure out which characters belong to which players! Damn you all for being so clever with hiding them! Although I do have my suspicions... *shifty eyes* Ah well, so long as no one targets my characters, I'm safe. ;P

I have to say I admire your imagination with the traps, Kathy. I really had to read your post thoroughly to understand just what the heck Eflair, Lara and Davis were experiencing, but it was impressive nevertheless. The description of Liam's death was original in the sense that it was told from a perspective of an entirely different group. Great stuff! ;D
Middle tier-The okay arguers: Lunox, BKStyles, Nerdsy, Sandy and many others. These guys are okay. Not fantastic, not horrible. They're okay.
Also, you might want to fix your post Sandy since you forgot that Liam was also with Clavis and Vanya.
Thanks for the reminder, Crystia! These Teleport Cards really mix things up, it's so easy to lose track of who is where and with whom! XP By the way, Rachmaninoff, would it be possible for you to add the three characters created with the Creation Cards to the list in the first page of the game thread? It'd be good to have a quick check list on everybody in one place.

Deoky Shilos knew that he was on top of this game, just like he was in the Belagosi Cosmos. He had risen to power with his supernatural intelligence, charming manners and ruthless decision-making. He and his armada of warships was feared and respected throughout the galaxies. No one would stand in his way. Not the deceased Jennifer, not the smart Davis, not the frail Eflair, not the pathetic Lara. He would walk out of this place alive, no one else. He looked at his devastated companions. All these deaths were becoming too much to their weak minds. This was easier than he thought. Lara Servas looked at Deoky and smiled warmly. She depended on him. Deoky smiled back. He took a few steps towards her, intending to wrap her even tighter around his finger. Suddenly a bright blue light surrounded him, nullifying all his plans. It was the same light that had brought Davis to them. Now it was going to take Deoky away! ~~~~~ "Nooooo!!!" Deoky shouted from the bottom of his lungs. He hated to lose! Vanya, Liam and Clavis stared at the feminine-looking man that had appeared in front of them with surprise. "Another teleporter!" Vanya gasped at the eagle-eyed guardian and the blue-skinned boy. Then she approached the man lying on the ground. "Maybe he knows something about Davis..." Davis? Deoky thought. His twisted mind immediately started working for a solution to his problem. "Davis? You knew him?" Deoky asked, keeping his voice low and his face down. "Yes. My name is Vanya, and these here are Clavis and Liam Linche. We travelled with Davis before. Why are you speaking of him in a past tense, though?" Vanya asked, with fear creeping into her heart. Davis had been there with her from the start, together they had witnessed the death's of Gustaff Maldrachen and Rebecca Lynn. "He's dead", Deoky lied. "So is Jennifer, Eflair and Lara Servis... and everybody else we encountered on our journey through this pandemonium." Deoky looked at the three new people with moist eyes and a shocked expression in his face. "As far as I know, we are the only living people here!" Vanya put her hand over her mouth, Liam shook his head in desperation and Clavis looked up with a worried expression in his stern face. A new plan was set in motion.
Dual Death Cards!? Good grief! o_O I take it that the card Sandy just played is the twist you spoke of? Well that certainly changes the game a bit!
Yeah. *evil grin* It had limitations, though: I had to use it in one post and in one situation. It was fun nevertheless. ;P The two new characters are interesting enough, as well. I was baffled about the second character, though, since the picture is clearly a woman, yet the character is a man. "You didn't even try to help me!" Fredrick Shavask roared to Andrew and Liam. The two stared at the raging man in disbelief. "Calm down, Fredrick", Andrew said in a demanding tone. "There's nothing none of us could've done." "What a stubborn child he was", Liam sighed. "Do not say that, you freak! He was innocent to all this, and now he's dead!" Fredrick shouted. Inside him, he knew that it was all his fault. He had failed to protect the kid, just like he had failed to protect the civilians of Colony 5. They had mostly been women, children and elderly, looking forward to a new, peaceful life in the planet Lachesis. No one knew that the planet was already inhabited by fiends living underground. That one dreadful night the beasts had creeped to the surface, and silently slaughtered everybody. Fredrick and his men who were sleeping on their ship were saved, but everybody they were supposed to keep safe were dead. That tragedy still haunted him every night in his dreams. Neheb was just a new name to the long list of people that had died because of him! "We have to move on. It's only a matter of time before this rooms turns into a death trap as well", Andrew said, turning to leave the dark room they were in. "Have you no shame?! The boy just died! Can't we even have a moment of grief?!" Fredrick yelled, taking a few leaps towards Andrew, who gave him a scornful look. The mocking face of the man made Fredrick see red. "Oh, get over it! We don't have time for pitiful moments of grief!" Andrew huffed. Seeing the furious look of Fredrick, he placed his hand on the hilt of the sword hanging on his belt. "Grahh! I'll show you pitiful!" Fredrick bellowed, and jumped towards Andrew, glutching his neck. Andrew got his sword out, but Fredrick pulled them both down. The sword fell from Andrew's hand, rolling out of his reach. "Stop it!" Liam screamed at the struggling men. He was very afraid of what this was going to. He didn't want to die again! The slender Andrew was no match for Fredrick's brutal strength. The soldier went limp under his arms as Fredrick banged Andrew's head to the floor. His hands were smeared red, and a pool of blood appeared under Andrew. "No!" Liam screamed as he saw what had happened, and he quickly picked up Andrew's sword. Fredrick blinked, realizing what his nightmares had led him into. Suddenly a piercing pain went through his chest, and he fell down on Andrew's corpse. Liam let go of the sword he had pierced Fredrick with. He was safe - for now. OoC: Thanks for the awesome card, again, Rach! ;P

After leaving the colosseum where they had fought the golem, Andrew Whitaker and his companions arrived to a room with seats and tables, flashing lights of varying colors and shapes, and a strange square made of blinking colored tiles in the middle of the floor. There was not a soul in sight. "These lights hurt my eyes!" Neheb complained. "Do something about them!" Andrew was confused about the place, it seemed almost otherwordly to him. Liam was just as puzzled, but Fredrick had a pondering look on his face. "This looks vaguely familiar", he muttered. "I think I've seen something like this in the documents about ancient civilizations on Earth. I can only deduce that this place is meant for some kind of entertainment." "How can anybody entertain themselves in a horrible place like this?!" Neheb huffed. "By Amon-Ra, these lights are doings of Seth himself!" Andrew smiled at the boy. He didn't think the place was that bad himself. Suddenly a loud music started to play. Neheb blocked his ears. "Ah, this is music from the 20th century!" Fredrick recognized. "A classic from two thousand years back. I believe it was called Dys-Go, or something like that." Fredrick walked to the center of the floor, stepping on the colored tiles, and did some awkward looking movements. Andrew laughed. It was totally different from the concerto's he had heard, but he liked it nevertheless. Liam's face indicated more of a shock than joy, and Nehed was still holding his hands to his ears and squeezing his eyes shut. "Is it just me", Liam shouted. "Or is the noise getting louder?" Now that he mentioned it, Andrew noticed it too. The beat was getting heavier and louder by the second, and soon they were all clutching their ears. The music turned into a chaotic mix of melodies and intruments. "We have to get out of here!" Andrew barked through the cacophony. Suddenly a sharp pain pierced his right ear. He touched it, then looked at his fingers and saw that they had blood in them. Now they really had to get out of there fast!

Hey, Adas! I'm sorry, but we require more background story from the RPs here than what you have written. Three paragraphs of text is a minimum. I can assure you, if you don't have a decent plot figured out already, nobody will most likely be interested in your game. So give it a little more effort, and then repost the game here, okay? Thanks! - Sandy *thread closed*

Sorry, BKStyles, but you misunderstood my post. Woodpecker and Detective Allen shot each other, there was no third party present. And could it be that Kwan is aware of Dragon's Tongue, but his boss isn't? That doesn't make much sense. And if neither one knows about it, then Snowcat can't know it was the Brotherhood of Infinite Longevity behind the drug (since Kwan told him that). Has Raiha got a solution to this?
-
I got rid of my burden of NPC characters, also to give my character a boost of motivation, seeing that he's been somewhat of an outsider to the events thus far. There's so many plotlines intertwining here that I hope I can keep up with all of them...

The interior of the fighting club was unsurprisingly quiet as Snowcat stepped in. There were only few cleaning women minding their own business. Snowcat assumed they were paid well to keep their mouths shut about what they saw in the place. After wandering around a bit he found two muscular men in black suits leaning to the bar desk. They dropped their relaxed postures as they saw Snowcat approaching. "Easy, I don't want any trouble", Snowcat said, lifting his hands to show he was unarmed. "I need to speak to the War Dragon." "Mr. Yuan is not here", the other man said. "I'm Mr. Kwan, his assistant. You can speak to me." "Very well. My boss, the White Prince, is very concerned about this drug that has been spread here at your club. It's called Dragon's Tongue, I'm sure you know of it." "You are barking at the wrong tree, Mr...?" "Just call me Snowcat, Mr. Kwan. Do tell me, what tree should I bark at, then?" "Or rather, hiss at?" Mr. Kwan chuckled. He seemed to consider himself a funny fellow. "Anyway, a guy nicknamed Wayward Hare from the Brotherhood of the Infinite Longevity has been pushing that shit here. We let him since thus far it's been good for business. I'm guessing that won't be for long, though." At that moment the War Dragon himself entered through the main door, walking arm in arm with a young woman that Snowcat surely recognized: the daughter of the Tiger General of the Sleepers, the Willow Fairy. They sure were an attractive couple. "Well well, if it isn't Mr. Wu", said Sai Yuan, the War Dragon. "It's been a long time." It indeed had. They had met back in the days when Snowcat had still been the right hand man of Mr. Wang. "What brings you here?" Mr. Kwan smiled maliciously. Snowcat felt like he could blush with shame. The intense stare of the Willow Fairy only made it worse still. "Just running errands for the Boss", Snowcat replied simply. "I was about to-" Out of a sudden they heard gunshots from the outside. Damn it! Snowcat cursed in his mind. He knew all too well what the shots meant. Fucking Woodpecker! He ran to the backdoor, with Mr. Kwan and the other goon hot on his heels. Outside, he saw what he had feared: Woodpecker and Detective Allen lying on the ground, both holding guns. Snowcat ran to the rookie gangster and kneeled down. "Woodpecker! Kang! Answer me!" Snowcat shouted, shaking the youngster. "Snowcat.... The bitch... shot me. I shot back", Woodpecker whispered, with a twisted smile on his face. Snowcat surveyed the wounds quickly. "It doesn't look bad", he lied. "You'll be alright once we get you to the hospital." Then he turned his eyes on the detective. She had fallen against a trashcan, so she was half sitting. She had a bullet hole in the middle of the forehead. A single trail of blood streamed across her face. Blood. There was the image again. Mother... OoC: I wasn't sure if Sai and his men know who the drug pusher is, so if they don't, please say so and I'll edit it.

Snowcat arrived to the Fight Club with Woodpecker in the morning. It was his first time there although he had heard a lot about the place. Snowcat just couldn't bear the idea of watching people brutally slaughtering each other. Blood gushing all over the place... He went pale from the sheer thought of that. "Snowcat, are you alright?" Woodpecker asked worried, seeing Snowcat's dizziness. "Yes. It's nothing", Snowcat said nonchalantly. "We better go in around the back, throught the staff entrance." The two men walked to the alley next to the club, but they were suddenly ambushed by a woman with a gun. She was over thirty, with short curly red hair and a murderous look in her eyes. "Detective Felicia Allen, I presume", Snowcat said calmly, but in the inside he cursed himself for not taking care of the woman yesterday. "You honestly thought that you could get away with this, just by killing Mai and me?" the woman began. "Did you really think we wouldn't have known that Officer Lee was a mole for your precious brotherhood? You have made too many mistakes, Mr. Wu." "Is that a threat?" Snowcat asked. He really hadn't seen this coming, but he had gotten out of worse situations during his thirteen years of criminal career. "No, this is an offer", the detective said. "I will never forgive you what you did to Mai, but to make up for it, you will help me catch the guys who're importing Dragon's Tongue into the city. I know you're after it, otherwise you wouldn't have come here." "Help you? You can't solve this on your own? Why don't you just raid this place and shoot everybody inside it, isn't that the way cops solve things?" "You will make War Dragon talk, and you will report everything to me", Detective Allen said between her gritted teeth. She had obviously had no sleep that night. "Or else?" Woodpecker asked defiantly. "Don't underestimate the amount of information that Mai Liangcheng told me. With it I could bring your whole brotherhood down!" "Then why aren't you doing that already?" Snowcat said with growing irritation. This was going nowhere! "Because this matter with the drug is even more important. If it really gets on the loose, this whole city will be in big trouble. At this moment, I personally wouldn't give a shit about this hellhole, but I have my orders like you have yours. Now get inside! Your companion stays with me." Snowcat looked at Woodpecker. He hoped that the younger man wouldn't try anything stupid with the detective. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. OoC: BKStyles, you can write a short dialogue with Snowcat if you want. Otherwise I'll just make Snowcat talk with some assistant of Sai's.
I just had to take advantage of that post you did Sandy, with Alden Courtney and Lara Servas being dragged under the water. That just gave me too many ideas to play with. It was so nicely set up. Hehe.
That's the way this game is played, Crystia. ;D An interesting note about the current three groups. There's one with four men, one with four women and one with two men and two women. Coincidental, huh? There are three more deaths left this round. The game gets even more exciting with every dead character, I have noticed. ;P
-
Alden Courtney had a secret. He was glad that none of the people that were in this hellhole with him came from the same era than him. Otherwise they would've figured that the equipment he carried - the data-scanner and the tool-gun - were too advanced for common use in 2015. He wasn't going to spill the beans to anybody, but he had stolen them from a high-tech research center he had broke into. The woman he was with, Lara Servas, seemed to be an honest type of person. Boy how she'd freak out if she found out she was with a professional criminal! Alden thought amused. Despite being just 18 years old, Alden was a mastermind of both technology and crime. His official profession was a mechanic, but in reality he owned more money that a common technician could make in his whole life. Too bad his ill-gained fortune couldn't help him in this place. He walked onwards following the bank of the lake. Lara was never more than three feet behind him. He had gotten the woman uncertain and scared, which meant she was in his control. "Alden!" she suddenly gasped. "I saw something moving in the lake!" Alden snickered. He had scared her good! "Relax, I'm sure it's noth..." Alden sentence was cut short by a long metallic wire shooting out of the water and wrapping around his face. Lara let out a scream of horror as a second wire grasped her feet. Just as swiftly as they had appeared, the wires shot back into the lake, dragging both Alden and Lara with them.

Out of all the people trapped into the Maze, Liam Linche had the most peculiar history. He had died in a plague that had swept over his hometown of London when he had been just eight years old, but had been brought back to life by a necromancer called Nerwick. The old man had taught him the secrets of the forbidden magic, but Liam had eventually fled to live a free life - or rather, death. He had studied to become a smith, but now, all of a sudden, he was in this strange place, surrounded by people thousands of years older than him, coming from places beyond the stars. Liam didn't know what sort of magic it was, but he was sure it was as evil as the spell that revived him. He followed the group of men as they tried to keep up with the arrogant child claiming to be a king. Liam didn't care about the boy, he was a simple young man from the countryside with little respect towards titles and thrones. The five men eventually arrived to a dark, circular room that had a pedestal at the center of it. On the pedestal was some sort of red crystal. "Ah, that will make a fine addition to the gift I will bring to the gods after my death!" Nehed remarked. He turned to Fredrick Shavask who obsessed in keeping the boy safe. "Servant! Retrieve that treasure for me." "Now let us think this through", Andrew Whitaker said cautiously. "That is a trap of the Devil if I've ever seen one!" "I have to agree with him, kid", Fredrick said, shrugging his shoulders. "What did you just call me, infidel?!" Neheb exclaimed in fury, and stomped Fredrick's foot, making the tall man cry out of pain. But Neheb wasn't the only one entranced by the crystalline object. Liam saw Samik Specis, who claimed to be a spice merchant from a distant star, walk slowly but surely to the pedestal. "No!" Liam shouted, as nobody else noticed Samik's intentions. But it was too late. The man had touched the red crystal and instantaneously turned into a charred, smoldering corpse. Furthermore, the floor around the pedestal started to whirl open, revealing a pit of fiery lava. "I knew it! The Hell itself is on the loose!" Andrew screamed in horror, and ran to the corridor they came from. Liam quickly followed him, but Neheb and Fredrick weren't as fast. They both fell into the widening pit. Out of sheer luck Fredrick managed to get a hold of the edge of the floor that still moved towards the walls of the room. Andrew and Liam dashed to help him, and saw that Neheb was clinging onto Fredrick's leg, the very same he had stomped on just a moment ago. Not too far below them was a pool of scorching lava throwing flames at them as if trying to make them lose their grip.
