1. Just trying to motivate you here, so hope you don't mind if I put the current score here: Bravers: 2nd round with 6 points Legends: 2nd round with 9 points (+1 point for the 3rd round) Adventurers: 3rd round with 12 points (+2 points from the extra member) (The scores in parenthesis don't count yet - or in Adventurers' case, at all.) The challenge ends tomorrow, so you better hurry up, Bravers & Legends, if you want to catch up with the Adventurers. ;D
2. After going steady for a little over six months, I've noticed that a little break does wonders for the sex - especially if you keep your hands off yourself during the break (which can be extremely difficult at times). ;P But I get that after years and years of the same thing can get dull, but that's where imagination steps in: you can roleplay your fantasies, organize a romantic candlelit evening, try a little domination or submission... What ever gets you both excited. I have a bit of a problem with my bf in that he doesn't want to do all the stuff I'd want to do or wanted him to do. X/ I know I can't force him, but it is frustrating when the other is holding back on stuff he has never even tried! Maybe he doesn't feel that I'm a safe enough person to experiment things with... :/ In the end I think every relationship has it's sexual woes, and communication between partners is the best way to deal with them. Now I just have to get my honeybunny to communicate with me... XP

Quick Question

Although I'm not totally convinced about the morality of coming to an anime-based forum to advertise your own anime-based forum... :/ But on the other hand, it's not like OB couldn't afford "losing customers" to a competitor. ;P
4. Raiyuu: You are correct that all team members need to have one post before their second posts start counting. However, it's not totally pointless if one keeps posting even if other teammembers haven't yet, for the gained points won't be nullified - there's just the risk that they won't get counted. Sakura: isn't avoiding the Team Council a good enough reward? ,:) And at this point, your team is actually leading.
5.
I like this idea, assuming that disabling the thumbnails would still leave text links.
Of course, naturally. ;) The reason I'm not too fond of using them free hosting services is because of the limitations that come with them: size limit, time limit, etc. I just feel secure that I can attach the needed pictures here, and manage them myself. ;D One of the many reasons I *heart* OB!
6. No, the rules say that you must use the mushroom you find yourself (also, one mushroom/post). It should be obvious since the challenge is about the whole team posting. I know it might be hard to figure out how I'm judging the challenge, but I'll try to explain again. Each time a player posts, he or she gets one point. The player can keep posting in order to stack more points, but they won't matter until the four other teammembers have also gained points. When the team has points from all five members, they will enter to the second round. The team with most such rounds will win. This means that even if only one member of one team doesn't post at all, and all of the other two teams do, that one is a sure loser, no matter how much the other members post. The Blue Team is lucky enough to have their least active member cut off from the calculation - whoever that'll end up being. Gah, now I'm only confusing you guys, but rest assured that I know what I'm doing. ;D
7. A major whoopsie has happened! X/ The Blue Team, Adventurers, were supposed to sit out one of their members, because they have one extra member... But let's just say that I'll take into consideration that you have that "disadvantage" in your team, so that if one of you is unactive, I won't count him/her in. Consider that a reward from your last victory. ;D
8. This is a suggestion for the new version of the OB, so bear with me. In my latest RPG, OB Survivor, I've been irritated by the attachment thumbnails, because I want to link the attached image to each post. So basically eah of my posts have the same picture/s two times - one normal sized and one thumbnail. I'm aware that the thumbnails are an excellent choice for example when you don't want to click open all the pictures in order to find one, but what if in the next version you could disable the thumbnails in the post if you want? This way one would avoid multiple versions of same pictures in the same post.
9. Neither one, really. The effect of the mushrooms lasts until the end of the challenge, and it's cumulative, meaning the more you collect (ie. the more you post), the taller you(r character) gets. When the challenge ends, I'll calculate which team's members are the tallest. So practically this isn't a speed challenge, or even a talent one - it requires activity from all players. For example team with two very tall (very active) members and four/three normal sized (non-active) members are proned to lose to a team with five/six tall (active) members, if you get what I mean. But of course you're supposed to have fun while posting, so no stress. ;D
10. The third challenge of the game, Mushroomania has now begun! The objective is to collect mushrooms that will make your character grow taller once touched. The trick is that one player can only find one mushroom in one post, and that player must pick the mushroom self. However, in order to win the challenge, all the members of the team have to have grown in size, ie. picked mushrooms. So if you feel your team has inactive members, you better start shaking them up and get their motivation going, because you will need them in this challenge. ;D The challenge will end in Wednesday, so you have plenty of time to collect them shroomies. But waste no time, or the other teams might get a lead! After this challenge, one player from both of the two losing teams will be joining JimiWiggy11 and Sinistra, that is, evicted.
11. All three teams were relaxing in their own abodes, when their peaceful evening was interrupted by an alarm from the teleporters. "I guess it's go-time again", Ling Xiaoyu sighed. "Hey-a people! It's-a flashing again!" Mario hollered to his teammates. "Yeah, it's about time we got some action to this game!" Crash Bandicoot cheered.
12.
I am different, I don't even want a sexual relationship >_<
If that's the case, then you shouldn't worry - you're just not ready for that kind of stuff yet! Modern societies places much emphasis on sex appeal and sexuality, it's not a hushed thing like it used to be. That is what is confusing teenagers, they think they are supposed to have a sexual identity at such a young age, which isn't true. So if you feel confused, Hug Monster, I'd advice you to not just think about it - you really don't have to. Fourteen is still young, because not everybody are fully developed at that age. Some are, true, but not nearly all. What I'm trying to say here, that you obviously aren't ready for a sexual relationship, so don't stress about it - nobody's forcing you to have one. ;D (PS. If you want people to call you "Tical", why did you change your screenname to something completely else?)
13.
Remember, we're only talking about people's sexual orientation as far as gender is concerned. We are not talking about the specifics of their sex lives, lol.
Yeah, but I wanted to bring out the variety of sexual preferences that seem to be unheard of to many of the people in this thread. In real life, there are more than the three most common options. And as has been mentioned, sexual preference can change especially in the teenage years, but I reckon most people find their true orientation eventually. One just has to be honest to one's true feelings, and not try to suffocate them.
14.
But I really don't see how you can have both a male and female in your life equally without appearing promiscuous. I mean, having two people isn't exactly smiled upon in the Western world.
Ahem... I think you have totally misunderstood the concept of bisexuality, Azure. It's not bigamy! Bisexuals only date one person at a time, just like "normal" people, they just don't make a difference if it is a guy or a girl. I have a bisexual female friend, who dated a guy for a while, then when they broke up she got acttrated to a girl, but then the guy came back to her life and they've been happily together again ever since. I tell you all still, sexuality is far more complex than the "straight-bi-gay" -line. There are asexuals, androgynes, transsexuals, transvestites, sadomasochists, fetishists, pedophiles, zoophiles, tops, bottoms, butches, femmes etc. I wonder what the state of each of your country's sexual education is if you aren't aware of the variety... :/
15.
I don't know what to call it (though I've been using the term 'Omnisexual') so could someone help me?
Please, whatever your orientation is, don't call yourself "omnisexual"! It'd be like you wanted to shag anything with a hole in it - wether it would be a human, an animal or a tree! ;P Simply put, if you are attracted to both sexes, you are bi-sexual; if not to either, you are asexual. Of course sexuality is a much more complex thing than that, but ultimately you really don't have to categorize yourself into any slot if you don't want to. Just be honest to yourself, okay? To Attimus331 I'd just want to say that you don't really know any homosexuals yourself, do you? If you did, you wouldn't have that kind of an opinion. I have to admit that in my teen years I was confused with my sexuality, but that was only because I am a homosexual living in a world where heterosexuality is a norm, ie. you are straight until otherwise proven. Nowadays my sexuality is very clear to me and everybody around me - not the least being my loving bf. ;D Wether you like it or not, world is filled with all kind of sexualities, some more ethically questionable than others, but what is wrong with a mutual and equal affection between two humans, just because they share the same sexual organs? You should learn to accept the multitude of life - your way is not the only way. ;)
16.
In my mind, though, the Magus Sisters from FFX will just never be all that great. Sure, they could do a lot of damage. But geeze, after fighting them in FFIV and then seeing the mockery of their costumes in FFX, when they could've been such cool characters ... no. I don't think they came anywhere close to the originals.
Oh you old-school you! :P I really liked the FFX costumes of the Magus Sisters, I thought they were really inventive and stylish. I even renamed them "Ladybug", "Damefly" and "Vespa" in my game. ;) And just imagine what the Magus Sisters' original costumes would look like in 3D! Quite bland, I'd say... So in my opinion, such kind of changes are hardly as sacriledgious as you make them sound. ,:)
17.
(if only they could of put in Loki or Fenris...) [/FONT']
Fenris/Fenrir is already a summon, has been in three FF-games! In VI his attack blurred the party. In IX he had two attacks, one earth elemental and one wind elemental. In XI he is the avatar of darkness. There's one Big Bad Wolf for you... ;D
18. It's of course easy for me to say, having changed my screenname only once, but I really don't think people need to change their online-names as often as some of them do now. They just mostly do it because it's fun (and it really is, and refreshing too). I agree with the once per 6 months limitation, it's hard enough to keep track who's who as it is. I'm just not sure how the system would react on free name changing, with so many registered screennames here already. Would the abandoned names come free to use for the future new members, or remain registered and thus taken? I sense problems arising in the near future, when all the most common and popular names are taken, and people will have to resort to "dfjkgu26374"-type of solutions. Of course it is quite utopistic to think like this, when there are cazillions of possible names out there, but who knows... Hrr, it's scary to think that one day we might all be known as a random series of letters and numbers. X/
19. Well, everybody can have their own theories about that, but in my opinion, as they are "just" videogame characters, they live in a sort of time loop, in which if they get deleted (like they did now), they can just hit the reset button and start all over again. But of course this theory is lacking... So I really don't know. Why don't you decide, Solo? ;P PS. "Remember kids, real life does not have a reset button!"
20. Two of the eighteen initial players have been voted out: Sinistra (Link) and JimiWiggy11 (Mitsurugi). Both of you are entitled to leave one last "goodbye" post to this thread. What came to the votes, I received all six votes from the Green Team (well, five since Sinistra declined to name anybody but him/herself), and all of the votes went to the same person. However I only got four votes from the Red Team, but again, all named the same person, so I didn't see it necessary to prolong the inevitable. Alas, with the voting over so soon, the next challenge is probably starting either on Saturday or Sunday. Meanwhile, you can post your feelings about the first Team Council to the game thread, and of course your characters' everyday survival in their claustrophobic camps. Game On(wards)!
21. After all the contestants had voted, a waiting silent fell to the CPU as Mog went to tally the results. Soon the moogle host returned with a neatly printed paper. "Kupo, the votes have been counted and the results are clear. Two out of you twelve will be deleted from the game sooner than soon, and that's kupo." "Bravers of the Red Sword, out of your ranks you have voted out..." Mitsurugi Suddenly the stoic samurai started to disperse into pixels. He nodded acceptantly, and in seconds he was gone. Ling Xiaoyu sighed. "Legends of the Green Gem, the one leaving from your team is..." Link The green-clad hero waved a silent goodbye to his teammates as he, too, faded away. "Two have been deleted, kupo, and sixteen continue the game. The next challenge will take place after a few days of rest, so use that time to regather your team spirit. Your teleporters will give you a signal when its time to compete again, kupo. You may now return to your camps. And despite the events of tonight, kupo, don't forget: Game On!"
22. I've always adored Shiva, especially in FFIX she's astounding! Gotta love her "Diamond Dust" in FFX, too. *Snap* ;D I also remember gasping at the sight of Neo Bahamut when I first played FFVII. The red dragon was something so impressive at that time... 8D I'm usually not too fond of the overpowerful summons in the games... Of course I use them, but it's boring to watch the ten-minute summoning sequence over and over again. X/ I'm just waiting for a really hot male summon to be introduced... ;P
23. You don't have to give reasons to vote somebody out, and of course considering the game it would be best you voted out whoever you think should go (out-of-character). But it's all the same to me, I just need a name. ;D Already got three votes...
24. The "Lemmingsitters" challenge is over, and the winners are the Adventurers of the Blue Feather! The other two teams have to vote one member out of their ranks by the end of this week (instructions on the game thread). If you want reasons for my decision, here they come: the blue team didn't only post almost twice as much as the other teams, they all also wrote very funny stuff while still reading each other's posts and keeping the story intact. So yay for them! ;D But this was only the first of many challenges. Next week we will have another one, with only sixteen contestants participating. Now I'll wait for the incoming votes of the green and red teams.
25. After what seemed like eternity to the contestants, a loud horn boomed across the levels of the Lemmingbane Dungeon. "Does this mean... it's finally over?" Yuna sobbed. Sora gave her a comforting pat on the back while trying to hold on to the one remaining Lemming who was trying to squirm away. "Getthemoffame!" Dante squeaked, his voice muffled by the enamorated Lemmings that were all over him. "Hey, where did the rest of the buggers go?" Lara wondered. Her teammates shrugged, for all they saw was green-and-blue goo all over the walls. "I can't believe this! We... lost?" Suddenly the teleporters appeared in front of all the teams, and everybody dashed to them, eager to get out of the dungeon. Back at the CPU, Mog was waiting for them, still giggling. "Kupo, that was hilarious!" "Glad somebody had fun..." Fox McCloud muttered. "Now, without further kuponess, let's check the results. I have your Lemmingcounters here, kupo." "Legends of the Green Gem, your Lemmingcounter shows... ?!" Sora opened his hand to show a single exhausted Lemming. "Yeah, umm... the others got away." The surviving Lemming saw that it was free, jumped off of Sora's hand and exploded with a glee. "Ouch... Kupo, then we have Bravers of the Red Sword. Dante, you seem to have gained quite a fanbase, kupo!" "Yeah, uh... These are all we got", Dante sighed while about a dozen Lemmings hanged in his white hair and one in his right earlobe, each with a small heart above their heads. "Your Lemmingcounter says , kupo. Now let's see how the last team did..." "Adventurers of the Blue Feather, where are your remaining Lemmings, kupo?" "Umm..." Krystal started. "I'm afraid we don't have any left." "Don't be kupo! Your Lemmingcounter says !" "Wha?" Shadow exclaimed. "Impossible!" "Mmmmf!!" Everybody turned their heads to the voice. It was PacMan, his cheeks bulging. He opened his mouth and gagged out twenty-one wet Lemmings, who immediately scattered out of sight. "Yuck! Finally!" PacMan gasped. "It looks like we have our winner, kupo! Adventurers of the Blue Feather, you took your second consecutive victory, congrats!!" The blue team cheered, and Krystal and Lara rushed to hug PacMan, who turned into a light shade of pink. "Aww, come on girls... I'm a married man..." "Kupo, this means that Bravers and Legends, you will stay here for the first Team Council, in which one member from both teams will get voted out of the game. Adventurers, you may return to your island to celebrate your kuporrific victory." > After the blue team had warped away, the two remaining teams sat down to the quirky floating pillows, and the first Team Council of the OB Survivor: Game On! began. "Kupo, both of you teams took quite a beating from the Adventurers, so now it's time to face the consequences. Two out of you twelve won't be a part of this game after this council, kupo. Here's how the eviction works:
1. Everybody attending the Team Council gets one vote, kupo. 2. That kupo vote is used to evict one member out from your own team. 3. All votes will be sent to me personally in a private message by the end of this kupo week. 4. In case of two members from the same team getting equal amount of votes, the winning team (this time the Adventurers) will decide who gets deleted, kupo.
"Are the rules clear, kupo? Then it is time to vote."
