1. Hey, Rai! Although I know you hate the guts out of me ( :p ), could you still consider taking me in! :toothy: I was a huge fan of the Drow-world, before Salvatore started to suck (too many similar books, I guess) and spoiled it. Anyhew, my signe uppe: Name: Phoebus of the Tribe of Rhamandari Race: Drow Gender: male Age: in his 200s (meaning young) Rank: Merchant (you didn't have this on the list, but I reckon it'll be alright) Appereance: What do all drows look like? Gorgeous, of course! Phoebus has long white hair, ebony skin, and one of his eyes is sparkling purple, other is bloodred. Medium height, thin and agile build. He wears a long, purple vest that leaves his chest bare, and baggy, white trousers á la Aladdin. Weapon: A scimitar spear (a staff with a sabre-blade on both ends) with colourful ribbons and ornaments Bio: Phoebus Rhamandari comes from one of the highest tribes in the city (Menzoberranzan?), but as he is male, he has no real status in the tribe. Instead, he is devoted to sell "powders" and "herbs" to the occasional orgies the young drows organize. He also owns a famous trading store in the central city, and lots of items and artefacts rare to Underdark can be found there. In his free time Phoebus prefers to "celebrate" with other young male drows, and his affection to his own gender has caused him some trouble as ladies from lower tribes seek to marry him. Is gay drow merchant good enough for you, Rai? :smirk:
2.
Originally posted by Shinji Ikari about 80 % of Bible prophecy so far has come true.
Could that have anything to do with the way they're written? If it reads "There shall be a war!", everybody will shout "OMG, there is a war in Arabnistan!!! The Bible was right!", or "Humankind will suffer!", people would shout "OMG, I have a tootache, the Bible was right again!!!" Bleh, I'm just mocking again... Ignore me... :shifty:
3. Oh life, are you that naïve? You honestly believe that if you die let's say when you're 90, you'll end up in heaven with all the illnesses and wrinkles? You know, nobody can deny that at least your body stays in this world. So you will definately be prancing on a cloud in your own body - nobody over ten in age should believe that! :therock:
4.
Originally posted by .hack//IZUAL you just continue living life, at the age you died at or you goto heaven and have alot of fun.
Wow... Deep... :smirk: Well, it's... cuddly to see that some people still believe such childish stuff, but the life will show you, trust me. ;)
5. In my believe this life is all we got, so why waste it worrying about something that we don't know if it really exists (higher forces, afterlife, UFOs, stuff like that). Because if you think with your common sense, you'll realize that life isn't full of angels or spirits! Sometimes life sucks, sometimes itis frightening, sometimes you enjoy your butt out, but mainly it's just... dull. I'm not saying nothing-to-do -dull, I'm saying no-magic-and-stuff - dull. Of course, there're those little moments that make you wonder "what if...", but suddenly the moment is gone, and you have to return to reality, to your own life.
6. offgame: The Final Challenge is now ON!!! Check your PM-boxes! But don't forget to continue the Temple Tour at the same. ;) Here're the Final Challenge questions in case you lose them somehow: Final Challenge: The Final Fantasy Test! (Note: just to make this even harder for you, you will have to guess from which FF-game (from 6 to 10) the question is. - Cid) Q1. Name the parents of Aeris. 7. I'm not sure if this should be here or the music section, but I reckon it'll get more attention here. Now, since I've temporarily been on a fast computer, I've been listening to all these Midi-files from Final Fantasy series. I've developed a total addiction to FFX-2 theme songs Real Emotion and 1000 Words (1000 No Kotoba). But they aren't what I'm looking for. Though I haven't played Kingdom Hearts, I heard the music on the commercial, and it stayed haunting me ever since. So I've spent today searching for the song, and I found out it was called Simple and Clean (Hikari in Japanese). But unfortunately I was only able to find a small clip of the English version, and I'm dying to hear more! Both the English and Japanese version. Another song I'm seeking is Suteki Da Ne (spelling?) from FFX. I've seen the lyrics, and I've heard the melody, but I haven't heard a sang version. It's very confusing, since there is lyrics to the song... So if anybody knows a site/sites where I could be able to hear these two songs, I'd be thrilled - not to mention forever grateful! :D In general, I've only now come to realize how fantastic the music is in the Squarenix-games - especially in FF! Maybe it's because I'm not very musical person, but somehow the musics have always been just part of a magnificent entity to me, not single parts.
8. I'm sorry, TH. I sounded a bit too harsh. But you must realize that if you want to draw, you must practice - and it doesn't just happen after few pictures, it takes years. I considered myself pretty talented in drawing when I was fifteen, but now, after for years, I see how much I've developed. And I'm still far from being an artist. I'm definately saying you should stop drawing - on a contrary, I encourage you to it - but please don't send them here, not yet! Just look at your drawings!!! How can you expect people to seriously rant pictures that are made of few lines? Take your time, for your own sake!

Exile

offgame: I have a bad feeling that Mayu is turning into some kind of Gollum following Frodo and Sam... ;) * * * Mayu looked down upon Elairith, lying in the arms of the half-Vahnati. The man was carrying her somewhere with a determined look in his face. Mayu though about the options: maybe Elairith was a prisoner, and she had seeked help from her. Mayu felt a lump in her throat. Maybe the half-Vahnati was now carrying Elairith to Exile, to the other Vahnatis. Mayu felt she couldn't let it happen. In an odd way Mayu felt attracted to the half-nephil girl. So she sang. The man had time to just see her sitting on the branch before his eyes went backwards and he fell to the ground unconscious. Elairith fell down with him, but she didn't wake up. Slowly Mayu crept to Elairith, stroking her hair and face, that was somewhat nephil-like, but not as clearly as Mayu's own face. Suddenly Elairith opened her eyes, and the two girls were face to face, staring each other.

Two Worlds

Hey, coolies, Terra! :toothy: For the first time I'll be actually related to another player when the game starts. See you in the game, evil sister! ;)
11. I like the signature in the pictures... :bluesweat But TH, I see drawing isn't... your thing, so please don't push it. You don't have to be good in everything! I've noticed you're very enthusiastic to grab things at these boards, but you must realize that you don't have to. Take your time, these boards aren't going to disappear if you leave them in even one day! Okay, perhaps I'm just shocked to see somebody post 300 posts in one week, but why I have this feeling you're just trying to climb to "member" as fast as possible. A strickt moderator could even see this thread as SPAM, because your drawings (sorry if this hurts your feelings, but it's true) are just doodlings. But I'm just suggesting, of course you don't have to listen to me. PS. the pictures really suck... :(

Exile

offgame: Thankies, Raven! * * * Mayu looked at the girl seemingly named Elairith leave with the Vahnati. How could she?! But apparently the Vahnati wasn't the same as the ones down in Exile. Mayu hadn't understood much about what Elairith had spoken, but she had understood - and seen it with her own eyes - that she was half-nephil, half-human. Frankly, it made Mayu upset. In Exile half-blooded didn't live to see the next day. But Mayu was prepared that things were different in Lands Above. When she watched the man, who was slowly disappearing down the path, she realized that he wasn't pureblooded either. Mayu shook her head incredulously. Did humans breed with everything they had in sight? But then she realized Elairith and her companion had gone out of sight. Mayu's brains told her not to follow them, but her heart cried that she had been alone too long. Besides, if the two wanted to kill her, they would've done it already. Quietly, Mayu hopped to another pole, and descended down. She began to walk the path, following the trails of Elairith and the half-Vahnati.
13. I wonder what will happen to this competition if everybody thinks like The Mage Prince. I'm not saying I don't like Juu - who doesn't - but that should not be the main factor when casting votes. My suggestion is that the judges will have the most effect on whose out, because to me it seems that many of this public aren't capable of judging just the texts. It would be awful if good writers would have to go just because they aren't as popular as some others. This isn't highschool!
14. Oooooh.... Wow! Very wild, indeed! You've really put your into it, I can see. One minus, though... Auron himself has drowned to the picture, I can't really recognize him... Maybe if you tied the other hand again... But very impressive, anyhow! I can't wait to see the colored version. :)

Exile

offgame: Mind me tugging in? :toothy: Guess not... * * * Mayu woke up to a noise coming near her. No, not noise, voices. For the first time since she left Exile behind, Mayu heard two talking beings talk. Her heart was pounding with both fear and excitement as she slowly stood up. It was bright again. Exhausted from her voyage, Mayu had slept the whole night through. This meant she could be easily seen unless she was careful. Trying not to make a noise, Mayu slowly tiptoed nearer to the speakers. They were walking on a forest path, walking quite ahead of Mayu. She could hear them well enough to know that she didn't understand the language. She couldn't really see the details of the two strangers, but there was something oddly familiar about the way the other - clearly female one - walked. The other, male, was much taller than the female. As the two strangers advanced, Mayu followed, carefully keeping a distance. She imagined what would happen if the two would notice her. Would she live long enough for them to notice she was Nephilim? Would they ask her questions she wouldn't understand, let alone reply because of her muteness? What if... Crack. She had been careless. A large pole lying on the path had been cracked in two by her foot, and the two beings had obviously heard her. Swiftly both of them had turned to face her. Mayu closed her eyes tightly. She didn't want to face them... But as steps drew closer, she felt she had to open the eyes and see her destiny in front of her. It was one of the teachings of the Temple of Sakret: to face what was to be, without fear, without doubt. As soon as Mayu opened her eyes, she regretted her act. The male being, now looking straight at her with a surprised face, was clearly a Vahnati.

Two Worlds

Okay, did I just misunderstand, or shouldn't there be just one power per each Rakksha/Corvus? Mina? And sorry, Raiha, I didn't notice your character was multi-armed in her true form as well! :bluesweat So I wasn't monkeying you or anything... Neri's true form is still quite different from Luyii's...
17. Excuse me?! What deep storyline were you talking about, because I sure didn't see one in FF8! Or was it hidden somewhere? :smirk: I mean, geez! A boy meets a girl,
the boy and the girl fall in love, the girl is blown into space, the boy rushes to save the girl from space, the boy and the girl (and a few totally insignificant others) go into an evil sorceress's castle to destroy her...
the oldest story in the book! :D Sure the story was emotional, but I've seen no deep-scanning theories on FF8-storyline whatsoever. The whole story spinned around two people, and that was it... Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but isn't this what opinions are for: to try to assure others to have the same opinion? ;)

Two Worlds

I think I'll join, but one little suggestion, if you may, Mina: the powers Futuresight and Timetravel are so close each other you really should combine them into one, and add a power you forgot as seventh: Healing. But now to my sign-up: Name: Neri Omoro Age: 16 Fraternity: Rakksha Rank: Member Ability: Elements (can control fire, water, ice, wind, plants, electricity and rocks around her) Description: In human form Neri is dark-skinned and brown-eyed, small in height, light in weight, black hair is divided into dozens of small braids. In true form her skin, eyes and hair change color according to the element she is dealing with. Her true form is long and very thin, and has four arms, yet reminds humans quite a lot (the Rakksha were from "alien" races, weren't they.) Bio: Neri Omoro was born in South-African village, so she has learned to live in balance with the nature. Though she has a large family, she feels that she doesn't belong among them. In a very nearly age she has had strange experiences with fire and water: once she fell into a bondfire and survived without burning. Other time she splashed a whole interior of a water bucket at her brother without touching the bucket. As Neri grew older she begun to hide her abilities, practising them only when there was nobody around. At sixteen she decides to start school in Capetown, and she leaves her family and her childhood landscape behind to begin a new life. But before the school even starts, she is pulled into events that makes her abandon all her plans...
19. It was Red's weapon?! Oh.... But that was a great type of question! We must make more in the future. Well, I guess I'll ask, then: Q: Name the Sinspawns in FFX and where you fight them. (More FFX-questions, I know... )
20. Wha'?! No!!! It can't be! I can't believe this! I changed two, and still I have one wrong? Ginny, you're mean! :bawl: I give up, I've stared the darn weapons so many times, and I just can't figure out what is wrong...
21.
Originally posted by JJRiddler Sage you and Ginny must be the most talented artists on this site. I am not joking.
Get out of here! *points JJ the door* Ginny definately is part of the Elite, but I don't fit in the league, sorry! I'm not downing myself, I do think I have more talent than many people, but if you look at some pictures made by for example mystikal and maladjusted... There's no way I'll learn how to draw like him in this lifetime! Okay, these are just quick sketches, I can do far better than this (if I have the right tools), but even in that case, I'm more of an average artist. NEW CONTENTS: And a whole new character with these dresses. Everybody, meet the distant-yet-ah-so-dashing Lulu! Here's three jobs and three dresses for her: The Gunner, which turned out quite different than in Tidus's case. And I drew Lulu with her hair open! Yay! (This is my heterosexual-half speaking now ;) ) The Popstar was again a success, I think. In this outfit Lulu is kinda Latina, don't you think? The Tamer, which turned out great, as well. I had to think about the creature Lulu would train for a while, but then I ended up with Rexaur the Dinosaur (yes, I know it's small, but let's just say it's from that type of dinosaur-race ;) ). 22.
Originally posted by The Harlequin I'm quite interested to know why you would feel the need to use an image link to display a small, rather insignificant face like thing though.
In this time of sarcasm and irony I think smilies are extremely handy in preventing people from getting the wrong idea - or to prevent them from thinking what you said was a joke. Basically, the smilies replaces the tone of the voice. You simply cannot have a tone in writing, unless you use quotes, like " 'That's very smart of you', I say in sarcastic voice", but that's just weird... I don't think using smilies is a bad thing at all (especially since I use them myself ;) ), but in everything there's a limit.

Perfect Gun

I'm not acting what's good for you, I just feel sick of seeing something like this in HERE! Go to I.R.A.'s friggin forum if you want guns, don't come here... *groans*
24. It's important that people are treated the same despite their status, but the titles are there for a reason: when you are a Newbie, everything is pretty new to you, and as people see you're one, they don't necessarily expect as much from you as they do from people at their status. And like in real life, in here too respect (and the title) must be earned. If you post well, interact and stuff, your post count will increase, and soon you'll get a new title. It's an exciting feeling when you get a new title, you think "Wow, I've really earned this!" Sure, we could be all just members, but then it would be harder to for example see who has been here longer, and simple post counts are rather dull. Okay, my reasons might be a bit lame, but I support the titles. They have a meaning.
25.
Originally posted by wild thang i went out with one of my friends and when we broke up we became even better friends.
I don't think it's such a good idea to say "this happened to me, it'll happen to you too". People are different, and although I'm glad you and your friend could stay as friends after a deeper relationship, in most cases it just won't happen. Just like you said, it feels weird, and many people can't stand the akwardness and perhaps humiliation. But it's of course Piccolo's own choice, we're just here to give suggestions. :)
