Ginny, I reckon that your "Catcher" and "Beast Master" are as right as my "Mirage Ball" and "Gilmonger". Isn't it true that in FFX there are far more different appereances of weapons than there is names for them? Like there are these appereance-groups, which all have one appereance but several names. Am I right? (I got my info from www.ffonline.com) Fixed answer: (Noticed the different backgrounds, colors and detailing in the pictures can help ;) ) 1. Tidus (FFX) 2. Quina (FF9) 3. Amarant (FF9) 4. Barret (FF7) 5. Lulu (FFX) 6. Cid (FF7) 7. Wakka (FFX) 8. Vincent (FF7) 9. Freya (FF9) 10. Cait Sith (FF7) 11. Yuna (FFX) 12. Cloud (FF7) 13. Auron (FFX) 14. Tifa (FF7) 15. Eiko/Garnet (FF9) (Whoopsie, I forgot quite a few from the Missing Character's list: ) FFX: Rikku, Kimahri FF9: Zidane, Vivi, Steiner FF7: Yuffie, Aeris, Red I got it right, didn't I! :D (I just switched Tifa to Amarant and Yuffie to Tifa, and added Zidane and Vivi on the Missing List) Post a question then. o_O -Break

Raven, can I found your fanclub?! I just love what you wrote! It was so... wise, and I think nobody will find it easy to oppose what you said. Though I'm not Christian, I still admire your values - that's the right kind of religiousness. Not to care what "the Church" or "the Temples" feed you, just believe in your own faith. :) Everybody, read Raven's post, I encourage you!

This is exactly why you shouldn't be discussing guns at all: you're too young, and see them only from games and television, thinking it's cool to shoot around. Get real! :therock:
-
I didn't mean guns themselves are evil - I don't believe in possessed objects ;) - but just look at history. How much more damage did guns bring to humanity and this world? Many people buy guns "just for their own protection", but guns have such effect on people that they make them paranoid, they start to see "enemies" everywhere, and when this madness goes far enough, nobody can guarantee what the guns are used for. And what if a kid gets the gun and starts playing with it? Take it to school, and joins war-plays? Guns cause evil, and this world would be so much better place without them, don't you agree? So why such an admiration thread? :therock:
Originally posted by aYokano So like I said befor, tell him your feelings, stay friends, and after collage get married :D
Yeah, that's how life works... At your age it is just a crush - trust me! I had several crushes on several of my friends at your age. I thought "this was it, if only I tell her...". Of course that was ridiculous, and would've just ruined everything. Now I'm just happy I have my friends as friends. Fourteen is not such a bad age for starting a relationship, it's just not a good idea to start one with your best friend. It has too many risks. If you still are sure you want him, I suggest you go into yourself, and explore your feelings: can you imagine sharing a future with him? What would your possible kids would be like? Do you think he feels the same? What exactly is it you feel? These are just some questions for you to ponder - and you should really ponder before you act, okay? :)

Gin, I told you; I can't color these here where I am now, since there's no coloring pencils or -program here! Sure, this computer has Paint, but there's no way I'll start coloring the pic with it! It's a no-can-do situation! But what I can do is make more drawings! :toothy: It's number 12 now: the Magic Gunner, a job that can learn the moves of the enemies, and use them against them. About the picture: I know it looks stiff, but that is because I used a whole A4 on it, not just part of the paper like in the other sketches. I did this to make it more detailed, but unfortunately it came out on the expence of motion. I'm not that good at drawing in large scale - perhaps my eyes just can focus on small spots. The would-be coloring: I was thinking a pretty much same color scheme as Yuna has on her Magic Gunner dress: purple and blue. Of course, the huge neck-thingy, the bracelets and the various ribbons hanging here and there are golden - although making them silvery would be a nice change... But here's the piccie, anyway (had to size it down again, but I hope it's not too blurred):

A: 1. Tidus (FFX) "Brotherhood" 2. Quina (FF9) "Gastro Fork?" 3. Tifa (FF7) "?" 4. Barret (FF7) "?" 5. Lulu (FFX) "Space Bandit" 6. Cid (FF7) "?" 7. Wakka (FFX) "Mirage Ball" 8. Vincent (FF7) "?" 9. Freya (FF9) "Dusk Lance?" 10. Cait Sith (FF7) "Trumpet Shell?" 11. Yuna (FFX) "Nirvana" 12. Cloud (FF7) "?" 13. Auron (FFX) "Gilmonger" 14. Yuffie (FF7) "Superball" 15. Eiko/Garnet (FF9) "Tiger Racket" Missing Characters: FFX: Rikku, Kimahri FF9: Steiner, Amarant FF7: Red, Aeris Did I get it? :toothy: Naming all weapons is impossible, because they didn't have such huge differences in FF7... But where did you get all those nice pics of weapons?! Tell me, at once! (Of course after somebody's got this question right...)
Originally posted by Na'dou I use to have a crush on Devidramon, Shaun, and somebody else......but I forgot who.
Aw come one, people! Stop saying "I had a crush on someone... I just forgot who." That's wrong! It's not a crush if you don't even remember the name!!! This whole thread is just twisted! Most of these names you announce here aren't your crushes; they're your internet-buddies! Having a feeling of amity towards somebody doesn't mean you have a crush on him/her! Get real, people!!! ...I know, this thread is just for fun, but I'm just frustrated because of these darn cats around me... (another week to go locked inside with them... )
Originally posted by ~*vixen*~ anyways,i do think that grandparents are one the nicest people i've ever met!
It's easy to nice to someone else's children. :smirk: I bet your parents wouldn't say the same... I though my granny was the most sweetest woman in the world as well... until I moved to her. No, I'm not saying she turned into a horrible witch or anything, I do love her, it's just that when you live alone with somebody, things can get quite heated from time-to-time, and you see whole new aspects of the other. My nature just doesn't really match with my granny's... Shame. :( But I'll be out of there in few months, and I hope we will get back to the old days (not that our relationship is screwed now, but...bleh, why am I explaining my self?) In summary, old people are mostly nice, unless you piss them off by teen-angst stuff. Oh, how can they all just hate present day's youth culture so much?! (Not the youth, but the way we live)

As some of you may know, there are 15 different types of dress sphere jobs in FFX-2, and now I'm going to present numbers 9-11 of Tidus's fictional outfits. That leaves only four to go, but at the same they're probably the most challenging ones. :bluesweat But now to the three included to this post: The Mascot: a monster-suit, which in Tidus's case is Moomba from FF8 (also one of Lulu's weapons in FF10). I can't really take credit from the appereance of this dress, since I only copied it from one website, and added the little peeking hole for Tidus's eyes (I thought it was a nice little touch). Perhaps I should've made this look more puppet-like, maybe by putting some seams and stiches, but go me for thinking it now! The Gunner: a physical attacker using guns. This one ended up really gay, with the belly-shirt and the tight bikingshorts, but guess I like it that way... ;) The White Mage: a healer, as simple as that. I really like this one, the long collar fits the costume well. The color scheme is rather simple this time: the mascot is of course the same color as the moombas in FF8; orange and beige fur. The gunner's t-shirt, shorts and boots are black, but I think the belts could be red and the stripes in the shorts maybe neon-green. The White Mage's robe is obviously white, the trousers are grey and the details red and golden. Please, opinions anyone? You really don't have to know anything about Final Fantasy to evaluate these! :toothy:
-
Of course you're welcome to evaluate my sketches, JJ! :D I was wondering why people ignored this thread... Well, I'm sorry, but I'm on a productive mood, so here's another one: The Samurai: Physical attacker who uses strong special moves For some weird reason I find myself reluctant to draw any kind of headdresses to Tidus. Guess I just adore his hairstyle... :D

offgame: Sorry for yelling at you, Harle... :( I was just frustrated, it wasn't anything personal. Sorry... * * * Slowly the warmth of the setting sun woke Mayu up. She realized she was lying in a bed of something long, green and soft. Brown poles rose around her, each of them dividing to many smaller sticks. Some critters chirped and sang from their hiding places. Next to Mayu was a hill that lead to the mouth of the cave where Mayu had fallen from. When Mayu tried to stand up, her head stopped her with a stinging pain. Slowly she managed to sit up, and she observed the place. Everywhere was green... She had made it to the Forest! She took the pouch filled with food and piece of clothing that the villagers had given her, and with trembling feet she started to walk forward, away from the mountains. For first few hours she carefully listened whether something or someone was approaching, but then she relaxed, and just enjoyed the darkening sky, the stars and the moon. It was all so magnificent and huge! There was no limits anywhere, one could run to any direction without crashing into a wall. And the scents, the voices, even the tastes... Mayu spent a long time just feeling everything around her. She observed the small animals that seemed far less threatening than the ones in Exile. But then she begun to wonder if there was any population here - humans, nephils, sliths or even Vahnati. Everything just seemed so untouched, so savage. As the night fell, Mayu was forced to stop. It wasn't the lack of vision, as she had grown underground, and saw perfectly fine in the dark. But as the colors faded, everything changed. Voices sounded more threatening, the scents were wilder, and even the brown poles started to remind monsters. So Mayu stopped to a small glade with a little pond of still water. Then she noticed she hadn't bring any firestones to light a fire. So she lay down below one of the dividing poles, and was soon fast asleep.

(Note: this post contains new content! I deleted the previous and pasted the text in it back here.) I'm sorry, but I don't have any colors here at my sister's house... There's not even a decent painting program (I probably couldn't even use one properly), so no can do... I don't have a scanner at home, so I can't even color them there and send them in - it's a rather poor situation, but my sketches will have to do for now. But now I have a brand new dress sphere for you: Tidus's Special Dress named "Sphere Guardian"! Like the Special Dresses of Yu-Ri-Pa in FFX-2, this too is three-parted: Sphere Guardian is supported by Left Sphere (blue) and Right Sphere (red). (The left and the right are from Tidus's point of view.) As for the colors of this dress: the costume itself is simply white, and all the decorations, belt, armlets as well as the "sphere grid aura" on Tidus's back are golden. The little spheres attached all over the costume are blue and red. So, what do people think?

Art Inspired by FF: X-2... (aka, proof GinnyLyn can do more than just cute)

Maybe, but you put a lot more time on your pictures. I do my pencil-sketches in ten to twenty minutes. ;) -
Oh, trust me, MaxSonic, your NoManLand-suggestion is never going to get through in this board. We had a Newbie Lounge that went too much into that direction, and it was practically forced down despite of many complaints. Only a year ago I would've been totally pro it, but now I've come to see that stuff like that only lures spammers, and it could easily get out of hands. I've checked a few other boards recently to find more discussion about Final Fantasy stuff, but I was totally shocked when I found out in what condition they were. The so-called moderator were just as bad spammers as the numerous nOObies hanging around. Every second post was: "That's kool", or "Seffirot rox!" or something like that. And frankly, I don't want that to my internet-home! So it's not a good suggestion. I'm sure Jamesy or Charlesy will give you a more throughout (and wiser) answer than this, but I'm 100% certain that "Not in my lifetime" will be the answer. :)

offgame: I'm so sorry... :( *goes to punish himself* I'm really letting you down, am I not? It's just that I have the excat idea of the final challenge in my head, I know what I'm going to do, but for some reason I always forget/don't have the time/am inspired to do something else... I feel so guilty... And the challenge was supposed to be up a week ago! And I think I've lead you to expect it's going to be something absolutely brilliant, when in fact it just tests your knowledge on the series. What a jerk I am, indeed... *sighs* But I hope you even go through the temples - I don't care how fast, even one/post is good. I'll definately take myself from the neck and make it in the upcoming week. After that, I'll post the final voting thread, and we can all kiss a longing goodbye to this game, that has been in our lives for so long... *thin smile*

Okay, another set of three costumes: The Warrior: your basic physical attacker (Tidus is using his Longsword in this dress) The Trainer: the character commands an animal to deal damage to enemies (Tidus's trainer animal is Flippo the Dolphin) The Thief: the most notable ability of this job is, of course, stealing. I'm especially proud of the trainer costume, I think I did well in it. The color-scheme is not quite as clear in this trio. The warrior is probably something blue/yellow, like Tidus's costume in FFX. The thief's scarf is definately white with light-blue ends, but the shorts I'm not sure of... probably dark blue. And the trainer wears marine colors, meaning shades between blue and green (turquoise, seagreen etc.). Now for what I'm planning: The Mascot is going to be Moomba (those red lion-like creatures from FF8), so nothing much special in it. The Special Dress could have something to do with Blitzball, though I'm not sure if Wakka deserves it better. Have to think about it more... Well, that's pretty much it this time. I'll probably be working on this even more tonight (literally at night). Here's the picture:

offgame: Harle, I know you said that, and I'm totally compared to build the world around my character, but that isn't the issue! What bugs me is that I have to do it alone! There's no relation what-so-ever to the other character, and that is making me hard to just bump into somebody. Okay, let's theorize: I'll make my character meet eg. Raven's. So, they meet and they chat, and perhaps decide to travel together. But where? And to do what? I haven't the slightest idea! What is it you want from this game, Harle? That one goes to hunt some artifacts, other decides to slay dragons, and third becomes a housewife and plays home?! I'm totally confused! You understand the problem here? We have the world, we have the characters... So what? :therock:

Definately Excalimune! And I love the details!!! You make them look so realistic! The ornaments in my pics are just random spirals or triangles, with no balanced patterning... One flaw in the picture, though: the upper portion of Aurie is rather big compared to his legs... Well, it's nothing big - the costume is the main thing. :) -
This is obscene!!! Do we really allow this here? You can't say a.s.s., but you can brag how you'd like brains splatted all over?! Haven't any of you seen "Bowling for Columbine" from Michael Moore? After seeing that document, I don't want to even hear about guns - not to mention how fabulous and kool they are! :therock: Sorry for being such a stiffer, but guns cause nothing but problems, there's absolutely nothing to admire in them. And don't give any crap about "we have a right to protect ourselves", when so many innocent kids have died playing with their father's pistol. I'm shocked, I really am! I know favorite-threads are allowed to certain extend, but this is way off the limits!

Some of you may know that Ginny started this project to design dress-sphere costumes from the sequel of Final Fantasy 10 (known as FF10-2) to the FF10 main characters that were in a supporting role in the sequel. Well, I got the inspiration, too, and since Ginny is concentrating on Auron, I've taken Tidus. And here are the first three outfits for him in pencil sketches. The first one is Popstar-outfit, a job that uses dances and songs in battle. The second one is Gambler-outfit, which uses random attacks like dice and slots. The third one is our traditional Black Mage-outfit, which is of course meant to deal magical damage. Now, as the pictures are not in color, I might as well tell what I've imagined them to be: The Popstar: trousers are black leather, and the long vest are green with golden ornaments. The high-bottom shoes are slittering gold, and the tattoos in Tidus's face and chest are red, as well as the belt. The buckle and the armlets are gold, as well. The Gambler: the lighter part of the suit, the boots and the gloves is yellow, and the symbols in it are of course black and red. The edges of the suit as well as the numerous strings holding it together are dark blue. The Black Mage: I was thinking Vivi from FF9 when I made this outfit. I'm thinking the coat could be blue and the ornaments in it silver. The pointy hat, the shirt and the shorts could be beige, and the shoes, the belt (both in the waist and in the hat) are red, but I'm not sure about the socks (something bicolor, anyhow). So, what do you think, everybody? It's a rare treat for you to see my work, as I have no scanner, but luckily there's one where I'm lodging now. I'm sorry, but you probably shouldn't be doing this game. I mean, at first you should join games made by others to know what the gaming here is like. Besides, your game seems very... well, unoriginal, and dull, and... not good. :( I mean, you have already made up the ending, and that is the last thing you should do in a roleplaying game! I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but take this as an advice from someone more experienced. Go and learn from others first, and then you can create games of your own. Most of the games like this end before they even start, and there's a small change you even get many people to join. It takes quite a lot to make a functioning game - trust me, I've made several flops myself! Of course, if you want to keep this game up, it's purely your decision, but at least think about what I said, okay? :)

Well, it looks like Lara Croft after few bone-smashing, flesh-cutting adventures... But the style and the details... Niiice! :toothy:
