1. Actually, if I may tell everyone another story from my northern homecountry: about an year ago it became legislated that two people of the same gender can register their relationship. This was of course big news to the thus far pretty silent gay-population of our nation. When the parliament voted on this issue, the news showed people gathering outside the parliamenthouse. Most of them were "rainbow-people", with colorful clothes and signs. Then there was maybe 20-50 people who kneeled to the first steps of the parliament house, and prayed for the salvation of this country during the whole voting, and I got to admit, that was maybe the most absurd thing I have ever seen Finnish Christians do. I mean, they were chanting "God save us... We will be doomed..." I personally think that was shocking (but I got my nasty satisfaction from when the law went through, and the prayers left with a sour face ;) ). I think they made a perfect fool of themselves, in front of the 5 million people population of this country. Well, that was their decision, so... But from that moment on, gay- and lesbian-couples have the law on their side when it comes to registrating their relationship. The church (about 85% of Finnish people belong to the Lutheran church) however, has mostly denied doing the actual ceremony to the gay-couples, which I think is okay. As an atheist I see that Christians can believe in any weird stuff they believe in, as long as it doesn't intervene with my life. I totally agree that if the Christians think that being gay is wrong, nobody should force them to think otherwise. But Christianity is just a religion among many, and it has divided many times before, so why can't it divide in this matter, also? It's not like any religion is "the one and only". If "God-fearing" gaycouples want to get married in a ceremony, they should have a church of their own - Who is stopping them? People can "re-edit" the bible, like they did at the Councils in the first millennium: take away the parts that they don't like. It's just a book - a book that is different to Jewish and Christians, but is said to be the same book nevertheless. Humans are so eager to divide stuff, to categorize them and put them in order, so who really cares if gay people (and those who support their cause) organize a whole new sect of Christianity. I just think it's sad, but the world is what it is, and mere individuals can do next to nothing to change it.
2. I think you should put more spaces in your "location"-bit. Just the right amount of them will put it look okay. ;)
3. Hey, I've seen a whole timeline that connected all the FFs from 1-7 together - talking about farfetched! You can find it in this address: http://www.ff7citadel.com/fftime.doc Now about FF7 linked to FFX... You see, similarities isn't the same as being the same world. Sure it could be that FFX is a future (or past) version on FF7's Planet, but it's not the explanation of the similarities - unless you use that "history repeats itself"-cliché. But by no means I'm dissing your theory, Gin, but it's more like you've found lots of things similar between the game than proven that they are the same world. :)

War of the Fay

Actually, I think this game is dying away no matter what I do, so let's just end this, okay? This happens to the majority of the games, so it's nothing to cry over. See you all in other games! :)
5. As I understood it, Rinoa is another link in a line of sorceresses (Ultimecia-Adel-Edea-Rinoa), but that doesn't make her the exact same person. Though I also recall that there were quite alot time-jump plottwists in the game (like the Laguna & co.-sequences). I don't remember much of the game, since it's been a few years since I played it, and I only played it until Ultimecia's castle, so I really don't know how the game ended - just heard pieces from here and there. Like all FF-games, the plot was very twisted - thus making it confusing yet interesting - so there are incalculable amount of different theories you can make from it. Your theory, RPGchick, is good, but it's very unlikely. How should Rinoa just turn evil when she grows up, not to mention return to her past to kill herself? :smirk:
6. Katrina followed the strange watchman obediently through the moors and back to the small town. She was dazzled to see that a crowd that seemed like half of the town's population was gathered to the central square. She heard the people muttering and groaning. "That's the thief!" "We're lucky to have HIM around!" "That filthy girl stole a perfectly good bottle of wine from my inn!" "Off with her head!" As the watchman escorted in the middle of the square, Katrina felt more and more nervous. Was that crowd going to lynch her for stealing few apples, a bottle of disgusting redwine and two loaves of dry bread?! Then the watchman raised his hand, and silence fell among the people. Watchman: "Good folk of Thismoor! I bring in front of you the woman who stole your property." Crowd: "Hoorray!!!" Watchman: "BUT!" The crowd fell silent again, but Katrina could see the bloodlust in their eyes. Watchman: "But you must realize that this girl was stealing for her hunger, as she obviously is a refugee from the land that the Sorcerer has taken over." Woman: "She should've asked!" Watchman: "Yes, I agree, Mrs Baker, but this girl - wherever she comes from - comes from a different country than you, thus she doesn't know about the famous hospitality of the town of Thismoor." Katrina sniffed. If execcuting for stealing an apple is considered hospitality... Watchman: "I have considered this case, and with the authority invested in me, I declare a two month and twenty-two day trial for this woman, who apparently goes by the name of Cat. If she should commit any crime during this period of time, I will personally hand her over to you. But if she works for me obediently-" The man turned to look at Katrina with his darkblue eyes. Watchman: "- she will be free to leave this town. She will repay you the items you have lost by working to me, so I don't want anybody to even cut a hair out of her head. Is this clear?" The crowd mumbled a reluctant agreement. Watchman: "Good! The show is now over, so go back to your work!" Then the watchman turned his horse to leave the square, pulling Katrina's horse with him. Katrina investigated the man properly for the first time. He was middle-aged, and his greying hair was cut short. Few scars crossed his angular face, so Katrina reckoned he was a war veteran - or perhaps even an old hero. There was also something disturbingly familiar in him, now that Katrina thought it more. She decided she would never know unless she asked. Katrina: "So, my knight-in-a-shining-armor, those townspeople sure seemed to respect you. May I ask your name?" Watchman: "Why yes, kitten. I am sir Gladius Coppershield, former vassal of King of Diadem. See, that is why I didn't believe you when you said you were the princess of Diadem: all the Braveblades are now dead because of Jeric, and I curse myself for not being there for them, as I retired the army many years ago." Katrina: "So that's where I remember you..." Gladius: "Excuse me?" Katrina: "I've seen you with my father when I was little." Gladius: "Wait a minute!" The man turned on his saddle to take a good look at Katrina. Gladius: "My gods... It can't be..." Katrina: "I wasn't lying, sir Coppershield! I am the last of Braveblades of Diadem!"
7. offgame: I'm really sorry, but making the last challenge has proven to be more worky than I thought. But from next week I'm going to my sister's place to do some cat-sitting (or, to look after three cats while my sis is away), and there I can use a fast and free, 24hour online webconnection! :excited: I hope I will survive those two weeks... But this game will definately come to an end within those weeks. Meanwhile, I've thought of some activity for you guys... * * * ongame: Suddenly Auron, Cecil and Zell heard something hovering straight above them. Zell: "Gah, wazzat?! A.. dragon?" Cecil: "How about Ragnarok, dummy?" Zell: "Oh! I knew that, he he..." The red airship landed near the trio, and Cid came to the doorway, waving them to get inside. When all three were comfortably sitting at Ragnarok's lounge, Cid came to them, carrying a map of Spira. Cid: "So, fellows! You three have survived all this time in this competition, but I though it would be good to recall the people who didn't. So, I have organized a little tour for all of you through the various temples of this world. In each of them you will encounter a familiar face from earlier in this game, and you can have a little chit-chat with him or her. The locations are as follows: Besaid Temple - Tidus & Squall Kilika Temple - Rikku Djose Temple - Freya Macalania Temple - Zack & Cloud Bevelle Palace - Sephiroth Remiem Temple - Zidane Baaj Yevon Temple - Rinoa Think of this as some sort of pilgrimage to all the people you've encountered in this competition. You three should stick together, and travel through the temples in the given orders. I reckon you all have understood. Pack some supplies for your trip, and you can go then." Zell: "Oh man, does this mean we'll have towalk again?!" Auron: "I do not know about you, but I'm going to enjoy this task." Cecil: "Well, what are we waiting for?" Zell: "Dunno. Let's get this over with, then. I'm all for the final challenge!" * * * offgame: so, this is not a challenge, but I do hope all of you participate in this. If any of the former players happen to read this bit, you can also participate, but only when the trio gets to the temple your character is in. Well, I hope you really make the best of this, as this gives me more time to prepare the last challenge. ;)
8. Ginny: Yes, FF6 is the fourth ff-game I've played, but I'm hoping my sister's fiancé wll buy FFx for their shiny new PS2, so I could play it too... Krillen: How was junction-system easy?! I mean, the game kept emptying the junction slots every time you had a little plot-twist, and then you had to set all the spells back all over again - not to mention the change of GFs, which made you set all the commands and supporting abilities again... Just too complicated! And you couldn't really spend the few lowsy spells you had in stock, because you needed them to make your character even a bit more powerful. Agh, have I complained enough?! Good!
9. Once again I repeat my list of pros and cons in FF8: +all young characters (I really dislike fuddy-duddies) +costumes +places +GFs -too friggin' hard!!! -junction-system was nerve-ripping! -weapon upgrade-system didn't work! (in most of my characters I could only upgrade to the second weapon) -too many secret things you couldn't possibly know if you hadn't read any walkthroughs (like secret GFs, where to get all the items for upgrading weapons...) -irritating loadingtime between moving from screen to screen! FF7, on the other hand had cool, lovable and unique characters, amazing storyline, good battlesystem, working materia-system and nice graphics (in that time's standards). I still have hard time choosing which one I like best between FF7 and FF9, but FF8 is way at the bottom of my four-FF-games-I've-played-thus-far-list.
10. Logan, you forgot to post the map in this thread! Could you please do that? :D Hmm, why my character is "exiting Kingdom Shiar"? Shouldn't she be exiting her own country, Kingdom Diadem? Oh well... * * * Cold wind blew over the green moors. Lonely woman was riding rapidly through the rough landscape, constantly peering behind her. Woman: "Damn, why can't you fly, you worthless mule! They are getting nearer!" Of course she knew that the horse didn't understand her, but lately it had been the only one she could talk to. Just half an hour ago she had entered a lively town, but when she tried to get herself something to eat, the watchmen had noticed her and were now chasing her. Woman: "Oh, why don't they just give up! Why exhaust their horses for a loaf of bread and a few apples?" The next time she glanced behind her, she saw one of the watchmen gaining on her very fast. Woman: "How does he do that?" Watchman: "Stop, thief! Stop in the name of justice, and return what you have stolen!" Woman: "Aw come on! I need to eat too, don't I?" Watchman: "You should work for your food, then! Now, surrender!" The woman knew she couldn't escape. There was something special about the watchman and his horse. Finally she stopped her horse and raised her hands. Woman: "Alright, alright! I'll surrender! What are you going to do now, hang me?" Watchman: "Let's just take one step at a time. Now, what shall I call your highness?" The woman smirked. You have no idea how right you are. Woman: "I am Katrina Braveblade, daughter of Erich Braveblade, the king of Diadem!" The man looked at her judginly for a second, and the bursted into laughter. Watchman: "Yeah right, and I'm Jeric the bloody evil sorcerer himself! Why don't you just come with me back to the town, and I'll see what I can do for you... princess." The man took the harness of the woman's horse, and turned back to the direction they came from. Watchman: "Now really, tell me what I can call you, or else I'll have to think of some silly name for you" Katrina: "Just call me Cat." Watchman: "Very well, Cat. Say, I bet you can use that longsword of yours?" Katrina: "Well, I haven't lost a single toe this far, if that's what you mean?" Watchman: "Hah, kitten, I think I know how you can pay for your crime..." Katrina rolled her eyes towards the sky in frustration. What kind of country she had escaped to?

War of the Fay

Catmint shook his head as he flew to his home in Bellevia village. Catmint: "How did it end up like this?!" One minute he was asking a volunteer to penetrate Titania's court, and the next that airheaded excuse for a fairy called Sakura had asked why he didn't do it! So there he was, volunteering to risk his life for the people. Catmint: "I thought leading was just giving orders, and letting others do the dirty work..." When he reached his mushroom-roofed mansion, he gave up the sulking and began to plan the project. Luckily the others were coming the next day to give him a hand. After three hours of thinking and poundering he finally went to bed, and the whole night he had nightmares about a monstrous queen eating him alive.
12. Actually, you fight Jenova just four times. The three Jenova*Synthesis you listed are Jenova*Synthesis and her two tentacles. ;) But tyes, you were right.
13. Oh, a proper rpg with already made-up characters and all... I like it! :toothy: It's good to have this sort every once in a while. The gameleader can hold the strings better when s/he has made up all the characters, and that is only positive. ;) Oh, yes, the sign-up! Hope you don't mind if I add some things to the profile, Logan? Katrina "Cat" Hyde Age: 26 Specialty: Hand-to-hand combat Preferred weapons: Longsword and shield Bio: Being a former princess of the Kingdom Diadem, she escaped the castle as the forces of Jeric invaded. Her mother and father are presumed dead. By nature she is outgoing and a bit savage. She has never been comfortable just sitting inside the castle doing knitting. She rather trained with the knights and went riding in the nearby forests. Now all that has come to an end, and she seeks a way to revenge Jeric. I'll stay and wait for this to begin! :D
14. Mmm, I get what your thinking G/S/B, but you have to realize that very few of the RPG's here are the normal sword&magic-type - most of them don't even use ranks. So that rank-upgrade-system wouldn't really work. But I'd like to see some kind of system that would classify roleplayers to beginners, advanced players, masters etc. I don't really know if that's possible with today's technology, but perhaps the system would depend on other members giving the player "scores", pretty similar to the grade-system that was eg. on OtakuArtist. The reasons for such a system are that people would know each others' talents as players, and also that you could gain respect among other players better. I wouldn't see this as a discrimination of beginners, since you earn the points - I see this more as a block for sucky players to make useless games or join someone else's game and then leave them before/when they start. :p What say you, Jamesy?
15. A: Carbuncle is drawn from other of the two Iguons you fight in Edea's room in Deling City. Q: How many times you fight Jenova in FF7, where you fight them, and what are the names of those forms?
16. offgame: Sorry, guys! :bluesweat I've ignored this game because of the lack of time I've had recently. (Can you imagine: lack of time in summer vacation? Bleh, what a lame excuse... ) But I'm back to lead this game to it's end. And I've made a cool banner as well! :D * * * ongame: Auron walked around the Ragnarok Lounge. Cecil, who was sitting in a chair, reading Cid's Survival Guide To Survivors, got annoyed. Cecil: "Okay, what is it, old man?" Auron: "I fear that... I'm bored." Cecil: "Hmph, no wonder! We've spent too much time in this place. I think this smell of fish will never wear off!" Suddenly Zell dashed to the room. Zell: "Hey guys! Cid's coming this way!" A minute later headmaster Cid entered the room, cleaning his glasses. He found all three contestants sitting in chairs, facing the door. Cid: "Ah, I see you were expecting me." Cecil: "You could say that..." Cid: "Well, I have news for you: we are leaving this world behind, and head for the final destination in a matter of minutes. Would everybody kindly follow me to the control room?" Auron: "Finally!" Once again Ragnarok lifted up to the sky, and speeded into the wormhole that magically appeared to the sky. When the airship exited the tunnel, it's travellers saw a world of bright ocean, tropical island and swaying palmtrees. Zell: "Whoa! I think I'm going to like this place!" Cecil: "Impressive, I must say!" Cid had gone through another transformation. Now he was a tall, bald, tough-looking man, wearing rather odd clothes. Cid: "Hah, welcome to Spira, folks!" Auron secretly wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. Auron: "Back home again..." * * * offgame: Sorry, but this was the best map I could find (it has no names, I know...): http://www.uff9.net/ffx/world.shtml Unfortunately the preparations for the final challenge are still unfinished, but feel free to explore this last world in this game. See you soon (maybe...)!

War of the Fay

Uh, Logan? You can't quite speak to Rei, because Rei is in the Rainbow Alliance Gathering Tree, and you are apparently at the Winterpalace. Please pay attention. :blusweat Well, continue, people! :D

War of the Fay

Logan, I think you have to put yourself acknowledged. Tag along to somebody - nobody's going to reject you! But if you don't put effort on making your character "visible", then don't expect anybody else to do that. ;) Catmint looked at the blushing angel, like the three other people in the room. Catmint: "A map... Yes, that would be useful... if we didn't have half a dozen of those already! Are you really saying you don't have any better idea on how to get the human... what was his anme again... Hunter?" Rei: "Umm... Sorry, Lord Florafleur..." Catmint: "It's Catmint! I've given up that lord-thing a long time ago. Now, does any of you have an idea how we can invade Winterpalace, the most guarded building in whole Faerie?" Tawn: "By penetrating." Catmint: "Excuse me?" Tawn: "You heard me, Butterfly Boy. We send in somebody who wants to rejoin Titania's side, promising to give information about Rainbow Alliance. She - or he - will work as an agent for us, planning a route for the rest of us to kidnap the human." Catmint: "Sounds decend, but extremely dangerous. Miss Rienna, you were one of Titania's servants not long ago. Could you...?" Rei: "NO! She would execute me the minute I walk in the castle! She hates me so much... for what I have done..." Catmint: "Uh, anybody else? Sakhi? Sakura?" The young fairy girl and the harpy princess looked at each other a bit sheepishly.
19. Just to meddle in, I read an interview of some Squarenix-fellow from some site (there're so many I can't remember which :bluesweat ), and the interviewer asked him about the sequels to Kingdom Hearts and FF7 (which both are under huge rumors). He said that KH 2 is pretty likely to come out some day, but about FF7-2 he said that it would take too much time to make it, so it would be very unlikely that it will happen. What bothers me in his words was that he said "we would have to start from the scratch because the old gamemotor is too old, and then it would take as much time as it would in a completely new game". I mean, who says a sequel must be some sort of "quick remake" game? Why can't they put their heart on a sequel, even if it would mean they would have to spent all that time with it? I'm sure ff7-2 would sell like heck, so money can't really be the issue... *is confused*

War of the Fay

Sorrysorrysorry!!! I was on a 3-day vacation due to this major holiday here in Finland, and I forgot to inform you! :( But now I'm back to take this game on! * * * Catmint saw a young fairy sitting outside the Gathering Tree. It was Sakura Shadima, his distant relative. Catmint: "Hey, Sakura!" Sakura: "Oh, Callisto! I'm sorry, I didn't notice you..." Catmint: "Bleh, just call me Catmint, like everybody else! So, what do you think? Did we make any progress today?" Sakura: "Uh, well... That angel girl made a pretty good suggestion, don't you think?" Catmint: "Yes, that is truly worth considering. I thought I could organize some kind of committee to ponder on this issue after the rest. Say, would you be perhaps interested to join that committee?" Sakura: "Oh, I'd... love to! But are you sure you want me to come and make decisions? I mean, I'm not that noble or experienced or old or anything..." Catmint: "Hey, those things don't matter in Rainbow Alliance! Though many of the leaders of the races speak alot, that doesn't mean I wouldn't value the word of other people. You're as welcome to join the committee as the bloody highpriest of the temple of Danaa!" Sakura: "Nice to hear that!" They took a moment to watch the huge rising moon. Sakura: "Beautiful, isn't it?" Catmint: "Yes. In a moment like this I really miss the Fullmoon Orgies in the palace. Nobody could throw a party like our Queen. Unfortunately the time of parties is way behind..." Sakura: "Don't worry, Catmint. When this is over, you and me can party our brains off." Then Sakura leaned closer towards the green fairy, but quickly Catmint rose. Sakura: "Oh no, did I do something wrong?" Catmint: "No, it's not your fault, girl. You're just not my type." Sakura blushed with sudden anger. Sakura: "What?! How come?!" Catmint: "Well, for first, you don't have a penis. Sorry!" Catmint shrugged and walked back in the tree, leaving the astonished young fairy-girl sitting on the branch with an opne mouth. * * * Tehee! :D Sorry if I meddled with your character too much, Ohkami, but traditional fairies are kinda air-headed - and horny. :p And Krillen, thanks for the drawing! It's very nice! :D The wings are a bit wrong, but mainly I thought of something like that. ;) [EDIT:] Catmint entered the main hall and walked to the platform. People were hurrying back from the break, making the athmosphere quite chaotic. Catmint: "Take it easy, please! Everybody settle down! Mr. Cyclops there, you can't just go and squash those funguspeople! I wish you'd apologize! Now, are everybody on their places? Good! I have come to the following conclusion: a committee will be formed to ponder more closely on Miss Rienna's suggestion. It will include me and Miss Rienna, of course, but I need three more people to join me." An enormous choire of shouting begun, as each and everybody in the room wanted to be making decisions. Catmint: "Quiet! Silence! SHUT UP!!!" Slowly the shouting stopped. Everybody stared at the fairy waitingly. Catmint: "I forgot to announce that this committee will personally be in charge of kidnapping the human, in case we come up with a good plan. Now, any volunteers?" Suddenly it came as quiet as in desert. Fay folk was really good at not making a sound when they wanted to. But then a voice spoke. Tawn: "I'll volunteer. I guess I don't have anything better to do." Catmint: "Great! Any more?" Sakura Shadima floated to the platform. Sakura: "You promised I could be in, so you bet you I am!" Catmint: "Uh, okay... One more?" Suddenly a buzzle started among the harpies, who sat on a balcony. Their princess, called Sakhi Rishta, floated down majestically. Sakhi: "I shall honor my lair by taking part to this quest, lord Florafleur." Catmint smiled. Then he turned to the volunteers Catmint: "So, two fairies, an angel, a dark elf and a harpie is now in charge of bringing back peace to the whole Faerie. May the Old Gods be with us! The gathering is now over." The five walked to a backroom as the masses began to unload from the tree. Inside the room Catmint turned to Rei. Catmint: "So, Rei, what do you have in mind?"

War of the Fay

War of the Fay ~Nymphs are from Venus, satyrs are from Mars~ Once upon a time, not so near from here yet not so far either, there was a realm of myths and magic known as Faerie. It was ruled by the courageous King Auberon and the beautiful Queen Titania. But one day a shadow fell upon the whole realm, as a wandering human got lost to the secret land of Faerie. His strangeness mesmerized Queen Titania, and she fell in love with him. Furious of this, King Auberon took those loyal to him and left to the Summerpalace in Sarashan Heights. Titania stayed at the Winterpalace in the capital city of Illusia with her human-lover. A bitter war started between the king and the queen, and whenever their supporters met, an instant battle took place. But there were also those who wanted to restore peace to the once so euphonic land. Those members of the fair folk called themselves ?Rainbow Alliance?, as they consisted of people from all races. But how can they end the feud between the two of the most powerful beings in the world? The Fay Folk (players): Rainbow Alliance: *Callisto ?Catmint? Florafleur (Sage) ? young male fairy *Alatariel Tasatir (Rhys Mayiessen) - adult female elf *Sakura Shadima (Ohkami) - young female fairy *Sakhi Rishta (Mina) - adult female harpy *Tawn Duelton (Dmitri) - adult male dark elf *Rienna "Rei" Faustus (oekakiotaku) - young female angel Loyals to Titania: *Zelaelas Tatylanavi (Deedlit) - young female elf *Kira Yuri (Logan)- adult female pyromancer Auberon?s Followers: *Nerok Lortar (KnightOfTheRose) - adult male centaur *Basilogaus "Basil" Meyrhern (Krillen) - adult male elf *Floke Goldthorn (Geist) - young male fairy Observers: *Laelia "Neuvox" Shalistrae (Raiha) - elder female faun *Ilmiwyrth de Ralquire (The Harlequin) - elder male demon This is the beginning... One by one people from all over the land of Faerie arrived to the secret hide-out located under a huge oak. Dimly lit staircase lead them from the secret door, that opened only to those who knew the password, to a massive hall full of creatures from almost every race imaginable. At the center a dark-green-skinned male fairy prepared to give the gathered group a speech. * * * Catmint looked at the huge crowd gathered to listen to him. This is it..., he thought. This is our big chance... C?mon, Catmint, you can do it! He did a little spell to make his voice so loud that everybody in the hall could hear him. Catmint: ?Excuse me! Can I have your attention, please?! Now, ladies and lords from all races; fairies, sprites and elves; gnomes, leprechauns, halflings and dwarves; orchs, goblins, trolls and gremlins; kelpies, selkies, mermaids, sirens and other merfolk; nymphs, satyrs, minotaurs and centaurs; dryads, ents and treemen; angels and cupids, furies and harpies; genies and nagas; cyclopes and giants, imps and...? Crowd: ?Just get on with it!? Catmint: ?Eh, yes... First of all I want to thank you all from coming here. My name is Callisto Florafleur, and I?m the leader of Rainbow Alliance ? an organization fighting to restore peace. Now, as you all know, not so many months ago, a human wandered to Faerie from the Lands Beyond, and seduced our Queen Titania. This lead to King Auberon fleeing the capital city of Illusia, taking half of the population with him to Sarashan Heights. Since then a bitter war has taken place in this world, and many have lost their lives already. I knew something had to be done before it was too late, so I summoned all you, who still value peace, here. We need to discuss how to end this war once and for all.? Gremlin: ?Let?s take the power to our own hands! Down with the witchy queen and the poleholding king!? Dwarf: ?Why don?t we just wait ?till they kill each other, aye?? Siren: ?I say we cook that human who caused this all!? Other sirens: ?YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAH!!!? After getting his sense of hearing back, Catmint raised his hands to silence the roaming audience. Catmint: ?I?m sorry, but I don?t think this is going anywhere. Doesn?t anybody have a better suggestion?? Then a voice spoke from the shadows. ?: ?What about if we take the human and send him back to the Lands Beyond.? Everybody turned to look at the one who spoke. * * * offgame: I?ve attached the map of Faerie to this thread. You can also add new places not shown in the map if you want to, but I?ve put a few ?extra? locations on the map as well, so you?re welcome to use them too. Well, let us get this started! NOTE: the recruitment is basically on through the whole game, but you have to send your character by PM if you want in.
22. Listen, folks! I'm going to start this game tonight, at about 10PM Eastern European Time. But I will now list the people I want to come and play with me. But if you still want in, you just PM me, and I'll think about it. ;) The Fay Folk: *Callisto "Catmint" Florafleur (Sage) - young male fairy - Rainbow Alliance ("RA") *Laelia "Neuvox" Shalistrae (Raiha) - elder female faun - no alliance at this point *Nerok Lortar (KnightOfTheRose) - adult male ??? (could you change your race, please?) - Auberon's Followers ("AF") *Alatariel Tasatir (Rhys Mayiessen) - adult female elf - RA *Zelaelas Tatylanavi (Deedlit) - young female elf - Loyals to Titania ("LT") *Ilmiwyrth de Ralquire (The Harlequin) - elder male demon - no alliance at this point *Sakura Shadima (Ohkami) - young female fairy - RA *Sakhi Rishta (Mina) - adult female harpy - RA *Tawn Duelton (Dmitri) - adult male dark elf - RA *Kira Yuri (Logan)- adult female pyromancer(?) - LT *Rienna "Rei" Faustus (oekakiotaku) - young female angel - RA *Basilogaus "Basil" Meyrhern (Krillen) - adult male elf - AF There is still more room. Sorry, but I had to leave one or two of you out of this game as I think you didn't qualify... Cruel but true. :( See you all tonight!
23. The four contestants sat down again to hear the results. Cid: "I just wanted to say that you are all extremely talented to get to this point, but unfortunately one of you can't go any further. The 9th person voted out of Final Fantastic Survivor is: Rinoa." Rinoa: "Heh, I kind of knew this was going to happen. You boys just take this to the end, okay?" Cid: "I'm sure they will. Now, it is time for you to go, Rinoa!" Rinoa *waving from the door*: "Buh-bye! I lovew you all!" Cid: "And there she goes..." Rinoa *from the corridor*: "I'll miss you all! See you at the reunion!!!" Cid: "JUST GO ALREADY!!! Oh my, I lost my temper again. But now it is only you three, Auron, Cecil and Zell, against each other. We will shortly move to our final destination, where the last challenge is held. After that, two of you will face each other in the final voting event, from which only one will come out as The Most Final Fantastic Survivor!" The three contestants left look at each other nervously. ******** offgame: Mei, you can post one last goodbye post now. You really fought to stay in this game, girl, but unfortunately it seemed to be your time to go. In general, I want to announce that this game will be in a quite long break, since we have this big festivity here in Finland called "Juhannus", meaning the Midsummer Fest. It is a time when all the people from the cities collect their kids and dogs and drive to their countryside-cottages to do some barbeque, fishing and swimming - oh yes, and drinking too. ;) I, too, will leave to such a trip with my family, and won't be back until Sunday. I hope you're all okay with this. But until then... Bye!
24. Sorry, Harlequin, but this is War of the Fay, not another of those "Heaven vs. Hell"-games. Besides, I'm seeing way too many angels in the sign-ins, and way too few of REAL fay folk. I can cope with one or two angels, but now I see three or four, and that is too many... Gosh, I've never been this controlling! What's gotten into me?!
25. offgame: I see that no more posts are on the way, so I'm closing this challenge. Take a guess who's the winner... ;) ********** After a day full of card-battles and frantic collecting, the survivor-candidates return to Fisherman's Horizon and Ragnarok, where headmaster Cid is waiting. Cid: "Welcome back, contestants! I hope you enjoyed your game-filled day." Rinoa: "I never want to see another card in my life!!!" Auron: "I found them somewhat challenging..." Zell: "And I thought I was good at Triple Triad..." Cecil: "---" Cid: "How nice! Well, it is time to count your points. Everybody please put your cards down to this table." An hour later: Cid: "Err, two plus seven plus... eh, one... plus three times five... make... one hundred and two?" Cid looked at the contestants akwardly. Zell: "Hey, you're the teacher here!" Cid: "OH JUST FORGET IT!" Cid throws all the cards to the floor. Cid: "Stupid rules..." Cecil *whispers to the others*: "Which he invented..." Cid: "I HEARD THAT! Well, I've been following your advancing through the world, and one incident in Galbadia Garden amazed me the most. Thus, I announce that the winner of this challenge - and the new captain, and the one with the immunity - is Auron!" Zell: "Unfair! You said the points mattered!" Cid: "You can go ahead and count them, then." Zell: "And the winner is Auron! Ehehee..." Auron: "How suprisingly pleasant..." Cid: "But you all know what comes next. There is just one more challenge to go, but only three of you can continue to that challenge. One of you will be evicted tonight, so let us move to the eviction-room." Rinoa: "We have an eviction room now?" Cid: "Well, it's the lounge, but I thought it would sound better that way..." Headmaster Cid lead the four contestants out of the room, leaving hundreds of priceless cards lying on the floor. Unfortunately the window was left open... ********** offgame2: First of all, I want to stress that Ginny, you REALLY deserved to win this challenge, and I know all the others agree with me. I mean, what a dedication! Be VERY proud of yourself, girl! :D Then the bad news: you all have been fantastic, but one of you has to leave this game now. I know it's rough to leave the game at this point, but there can be only one winner. Meanwhile, please sent me the ordinary PM saying who you want evicted, but remember that as Ginny won this challenge, she is immune to any votes. ;) (PS. Ginny, I'm sending you a PM about the birthday present, but I just want to say that I love it! Everybody, go check it out!
