offgame: Okay, I think we've spent enough time with this Quarthlon. I'll announce the last two results now. ***** ongame: [color=purple] Freya and Zack entered the foyer, both quite nervous. As said, Cid was there waiting for them. Cid: "Nice shooting, contestants. Now, I have judged two contests out of four already, and both of them were won by Avalanche, but this might turn the heat back up. The winner is you, [u]Freya[/u], because of your amazing accuracy and swiftness." Freya *nods*: "I'm honored." Cid: "So the situation is now 2-1 to Avalanche. But I still have the Chocobo Race to judge. Oh, it seems to be nearly finished. Well, you guys should head back to Highwind - and get the other members of your teams as well." ***** The goal was approaching. Rinoa had somehow got Sky under control, but Zidane was way ahead of her. Suddenly she saw a group of pink furry creatures walk to the track - straight in front of Zidane and Woeby. Rinoa: "Zidane, watch out for those moogles!" Of course Zidane turned his head to glance at Rinoa, missing the moogles. Woeby made a panic stop, and Zidane was thrown over the chocobo's head. This lead to Rinoa passing him with Sky. Zidane: "Hey! Unfair! Damn you pink gremlins!" Finally the goal-line was in sight. Rinoa's heart beated faster, as she knew she would win Zidane - although all the other racers were already at the goal. But when the goal-line was broken, Rinoa eased herself. Cid was already waiting her. Rinoa: "Whee! Sky, you did it!" Cid: "Congrats, [u]Rinoa[/u]. You just got your team their third point - and that's all that is needed for the victory." Rinoa: "Really? Oh my..." Cid: "Now let's fetch Zidane, and head back to Highwind. The others should be waiting for us there." ***** At the airship Avalanche was enjoying their victory. Cid: "Well, it is now time for your prize, Avalanche. The owner of Gold Saucer, Dio, has promised to give you four A LIFETIME FREE PASSPORT TO EVERY SECTION OF GOLD SAUCER! So now you can return here whenever you want to - after this Survivor-competition, of course - and enjoy all the activities for free. Well, you can now return to Ragnarok. We will leave this world shortly, so get prepared." Then Cid turned to the gloomy team Tantalus. Cid: "Well, you put your best, but unfortunately it wasn't enought this time. It's now for your first Council. One of you won't see the next world, but one of you will see it as a captain of this team. Are you ready? Let's vote."[/color] ********* offgame: I just wanted to say that I made these two decisions purely out of the amount of posting. Mei and Sakuramon did most of the posting to their contests, so naturally they were my choices. But team Tantalus (Ginny, Zidane, Sakuramon, Domon and Desbreko), you will now have to evict one member among you. You also have a chance to change your captain, if Zidane isn't doing his job satisfyingly. offgame: Oh just START the !#¤%# race! :therock: ... *notices everybody looking at him frightened* ...Whoopsie... :bluesweat Well, anyways, I'm going to announce the winners of Event Square and Battle Square, so people in those districts, you can stop posting now (if you want, that is...) ******** ongame: [color=purple]Sephiroth *dryly*: "Oh my Juliet, thou art gone now! So shall I drink this potion of doom..." Zell *whispers*: "That's not how the lines went! Concentrate, man!" Finally the two managed to take the play to its magnificent end - although the audience didn't think so, as there was only one man sitting there when the curtain fell down. Sephiroth and Zell stepped out of the curtain to hear the single watcher's applauds. Cid *claps*:"Brilliant boys, well done! You certainly... er, amused me! But unfortunately only one of you can be the winner, and it is all up to me. My choice is our astonishing maiden Juliet: [u]Zell[/u]! So it is one out of four for Avalanche!" Zell winks to Sephiroth. Zell: "I told you to take this more seriously... Now you lost!" Sephiroth *eyes burning*: "The contest is now over, so nobody will mind if I do you some serious harm now!" Zell: "Yipes!" The two men start a comic chasing scene in the stage. ****************** At the Battle Square Auron, Cloud and Cecil were battling few Veterans and Dragons. Cecil: "Heh, these are piece of cake comparing to the others we fought!" Cloud: "Yeah, but now we're all in mini size, both our armors AND weapons are broken, and we have dark-, poison-, slow- AND silence-statuses! Oh, and I just ran out of potions! Guys, do you think we ought to stop now?" Auron: "Silence, youngster! I'm only 100 battle points away from getting that huge stuffed Mog from the top shelf!" Suddenly the monsters vanished, and lights went on! A screen appeared saying in horse-sized letters: "GAME OVER!" Auron: "Noo! Goodbye, huge stuffed Mog..." Door opened, and in stepped the familiar tall figure of Cid. Cid: "Well well well, boys... Sheila outside told me you were having some extra-curricular fun. But it doesn't matter, because I saw the security-tapes of your battle, and I now have a winner. Sorry Cecil, it wasn't you - mainly because you didn't participate in this challenge. Out of you two, Cloud and Auron, I chose you." Cid points at Cloud. Cid: "This means that Avalanche has now gained their second point, as Zell won at the Event Square. But no worry, Tantalus, you can still get into a tie-situation, where the captains solve compete against each other. Well, there's still some time to circulate around this place, since there has been a DELAY in the Chocobo Race. Apparently some drunken tourists had got themselves lost to the track. Well, bye for now!"[/color] ************ offgame: You might want to hear the explanations for my choices (as I'm trying my damnest to be impartial here ;) ) Zell (Braidless Baka) won because he was the puller of the contest. He made the big twitches, and on top of that he did them in a funny way. Of course you were funny as well, Domon, but I ended up choosing BB... Cloud (Tasis) I chose also because of his inventions - and I liked the pictures too! ;) Really helped me visualize the scene. And it was good sports when you gave Auron the Maiden's Kiss. Victory for that! Now we just have to wait for the other two contests to end...

If you mean FFX-2, the release date is winter 2003, but you could have just read THAT from the previous page... :smirk:

offgame: Domon, the idea ISN'T to follow what happened in the games. You must use your own imagination. In your case, you will take the stage that has what ever setting you choose and make a performance (still keeping up your role as Sephiroth). Zell will do the same, or then you can act in the same play, trying to spoil each other's efforts. Just amuse me, and I might choose you to be the winner! ;)

The answer is Eiko's Carbuncle and Fenrir. It all depends on which add-on Eiko has equipped. With no specific add-on OR Ruby (which is where Carbuncle can be learned from) Carbuncle will release "Ruby Light", which will cast reflect on the party. With Diamond equipped, the attack is "Diamond Light", and the effect is vanish on the party. With Emerald equipped the attack is "Emerald Light", and the effect is Haste on the party. With Fenrir the normal version causes "Terrestrial Rage", an earth-elemental attack. And with Maiden's Prayer equipped, his attack is "Millennial Decay", a wind-elemental attack. Happy now? ;) [b]My question returns to FF6: In Phantom Train (the one you enter from Phantom Forest, not the one in Cyan's dream!) at one point you can have FOUR members in your party. Who are they? (Hehe, I found out this accidentally when I played the game...)[/b]

offgame: Actually, Rikku stayed at Highwind only because Cid had to take her home. So she is no longer part of this game. (Hey, I couldn't just zap her away! ;) ) And Ginny, I won't meddle with your posts none what-so-ever. :D I'm the one who makes the decision who won, anyhow. So post well, and maybe I'll choose you. ;) I hope everybody got the idea: I will go through each of the four pairs individually, judging them all, and then I'll count the results, and the team with most wins (it takes three out of four) will win. If it's a two-two situation, then the captains will take a match on one of the four categories, which ever they choose. So, you can't win by not posting, folks! ;)

offgame: Well, though C_L hasn't posted her buh-bye-post yet, I think we can move on to the next challenge. ********* Once again both teams got onto Highwind. Cid: "There is only nine contestants left now, but the game is only in the beginning. It is time for the next challenge, which is also eviction-type. So, after this contest, one of you will be headed home again. Well, the name of the game is: [u]Gold Saucer Quarthlon![/u] We are now headed to the most amazing amusement park in the whole universe: The Gold Saucer. Team Tantalus has been there once already, but so has few of the members of Avalanche. Now I will tell you what to do: You will separate into FOUR pairs, each consisting a member from both teams. Because Tantalus has five members, one of them has to skip the challenge. The Quarthlon will take place in four places around the Gold Saucer: In Battle Square (fight the monsters there), in Chocobo Race (win the race), in Shooting Coaster (shoot the objects), and in Event Square (act!). Both of the teams will now have time to decide who will go to which place. You have to ANNOUNCE it to me before starting. In each place the two contestants will compete against each other, and the winner team will be the one with most wins from the districts. If it is a tie, then the captains will have to do one of the tasks again against each other, until we have a winner team. Are the rules clear? You can now start pondering who will do which task. (And remember that one of the Tantalus will have to skip this one!) We will arrive to Gold Saucer shortly, so Survivors, ready? GO!!!"

Now, I want to say that I made my decision NOT my speed or post quality, but the amount of posting, simply because you ALL are great posters. ******** Finally Highwind descended to the field next to Chocobo Farm. Both teams with their Golden Chocobos entered the ship. In the hall, Cid was already waiting. Cid: "Hello again. The second contest has now ended, and I think everybody knows who's the winner. [color=red]Tantalus[/color], you were the first to get Golden Chocobo bred, so you are the winners. As a reward, you can KEEP your chocobo Lru for the rest of this whole competition. You may head back to your ship now." Tantalus: "Yay!" Cid: "And [color=blue]Avalanche[/color], unfortunately you were too slow. You will now have to stay in this ship, and enter the first Council, where one of you will leave this game for good. But first, you will have to release your chocobo Karot to the wilderness." ******** offgame: So members of Avalanche (Tasis, Braidless, Mei, C_L and AJeh), I want to see 5 PM's in my PM-box in a few days time. In that PM you will write CLEARLY which of your teammates you want OUT, and who will be your chosen for a captain. Heh, thanks...:blush: I have no idea how long this will eventually be, but there's still three daemons left to beat (one of them is VERY special ;) ) and then some others, plus the being using the Nothingness. Cristo (the Chosen of Ocean) hasn't received his beast-avatar yet (but in next episode...), and then there's the seventh Chosen (Spirit) yet to be introduced. I can reveal that each of the Chosen will get one more form, but you will find out soon enough what it is... All in all, there's material for at least ten to twenty episodes to come, so I guess this will be about 30-40 episodes long - for now... :D

offgame: Oh hurry up, will you, teams! (I never thought I had to say this to you...;) ) So Tantalus is just about to breed the Golden C., but where's Avalanche going? offgame: Few things I FORGOT to say (sorry, I was in a hurry... :blush: ) 1) All that racing in Gold Saucer isn't necessary, we needen't to be THAT purely on the game. Just get the birdies to the farm and breed them with the nuts. 2) Like in all challenges, the SPEED isn't the major factor for winning. The winner is the team that writes better posts. 3) Once you get the Golden Chocobo, you should STOP until I come and make the decision who was "faster" (read: wrote better posts), and that team will be the winner (receiving an award). The other team will then go to the Council to evict one member and possibly change the captain. Understood? Goodie! :D

To both team's surprise, the airships went out of control, and started to move on their own. At the Cargo Ship: Zidane: "He-hey?! Where are you going, you piece of crap?" Freya: "Oh in the name of Reis's Wind, what have you done now?" Zidane: "Nothing, I swear! It's the ship!" Cecil: "Look, this ship is headed toward Highwind! Cid's calling us!" At Ragnarok: Rikku: "WheeeeeeAAH!!! Hey, we almost reached the speed of light!" Others: *urpg* Cloud: "Well, now we stopped, and we seem to be headed towards Highwind." Rikku: "How do you know?" Cloud: "Well, looking from the window helped a little... :therock: " Then the both ships attached to the sides of Cid's airship, and the teams unloaded themselves to the central hall, where Cid was waiting. Cid: "Well, this came sooner than anybody thought, but I summoned you to your first immunity challenge. So, prepare yourselves, because one of you ten is going home after this competition. Who it will be depends on how you work as a team. Now, the name of the game is: [u]Breed the Chocobo!!![/u] The winner is the team that will bring me a GOLDEN CHOCOBO faster. But this time you can't just go buying them from Chocobo Bill. You have to BREED it yourself. The formula is: Breed a GREAT FEMALE chocobo with GOOD MALE one using a CAROB NUT in order to get a GREEN chocobo. Breed a GREAT MALE chocobo with GOOD FEMALE one using a CAROB NUT in order to get a BLUE chocobo. Then breed the GREEN with the BLUE chocobo using a CAROB NUT in order to get a BLACK chocobo. And finally breed the BLACK chocobo with WONDERFUL (yellow) chocobo using a ZEIO NUT in order to get the GOLDEN chocobo. Freya: "I can't believe he is actually WINNING!" Auron: "Well, he has the odds in his side..." At the Battle Arena, Sephiroth was going berserk. Sephiroth: "Take this, you %##%&, and here's some to you too, #"%&!!!" Cecil: "Oh, relax a little, will you?" Suddenly the five of them felt the air twirl around them, and the glorious playgroung for adults changed into the technical interior of Highwind. Team Tantalus saw Team Avalanche appear as well. Then Cid stepped from the control room. Cid: "Survivors, the challenge has ended. Now it is time to tell which airship you will ride through this adventure from now on. But first, let me tell you the catch of the challenge: The hints were 1) [b]R[/b]ough hike accross this deserted island, at the goal you will find a man with dozen faces and hands, next to a tower of fighters. =Wutai 2) [b]N[/b]othing here but white, still you can find a village here, to where a scientist once fled with his loved one. =Icicle Inn 3) [b]C[/b]an you imagine another place with such glory, joy and richness? Look deeper, and you see that the place is filled with greed and sad stories. =Gold Saucer The catch is that the KEY is found from the first letter of each hint. So, if either of you had gone to Wutai, you would have received [b]R[/b]agnarok. But instead, [color=red]Tantalus[/color] went to Gold Saucer, so they will ride the [b]C[/b]argo Ship from now on. And since [color=blue]Avalanche[/color] chose Icicle Inn, they didn't receive [b]n[/b]either of the ships DIRECTLY, but they will receive the one that the other team DIDN'T get, which in this case is the mighty Ragnarok. So, hope everybody's (un)happy now. Teams, you may enter your airships. Tantalus to Cargo Ship, which is currently attached to Highwind's right side, and Avalanche to Ragnarok, which is to the left. You will come to my private ship only during when I have something to say to you, and during the Councils. Now, get your stuff and move them to your new home for the coming weeks. I will announce the next challenge in few days, so spend this time making connections to your teammates. Until then!" Then Cid turned on his heels and returned to the control room. The teams stood in their places for a while, until the silence was broken. Rikku: "Does this mean we won?"

Freya: "Hey 'boss', Cid's here!" Zidane: "Dammit..." Cid: "Congrats, Tantalus. You got way ahead of the other team. But I cannot announce the results until the other team has arrived to their destination, so here's 100.000 GIL for you guys to spend here. Enjoy! ;)" Zidane: "Oh MAN! Now, money or the girls, money or the girls...???" ********

And if the rules of the challenge is left unclear to anybody, notify me as soon as possible, so that I can fix things. He?s riding... some kind of bird, maybe?? Eirica shouted and pointed. ?Yes, I saw them?, Arunamon replied dryly. ?That bird must be Laissana. It isn?t Ari for sure!? Soon the four Chosen, who had been apart for at least a day now, reached each other. ?Hey, guys!? Rosso waved as Erinymon landed. Soon the bird?s figure faded away, leaving smirking Laissana. ?So, monsieur I-Want-To-Be-Alone has returned?, she teased. Arunamon changed into Kang, who was being his familiar gloomy self. ?Nice to meet you too, Laissana. Where did you leave the smart-***?? ?You mean Ari?? Rosso asked. ?We thought he was with you!? ?Well, as you see, he obviously isn?t, so...? ?Wait!? Eirica shouted. ?Please don?t start this again! If Ari is missing, we need to find him! He should be in this glacier somewhere.? ?And if he isn?t?? Laissana asked, with a touch of worry on her voice. ?Then he is somewhere else!? Eirica said determinedly. ?Don?t you even think otherwise! We will find him! Now let?s scatter around.? Asperimon, Arunamon, Erinymon and Wardenmon ran and flew all around the glacier, but none of them saw any hint of Ari. Finally they gathered to the point where they left. ?This is useless; we must find another way to find him?, Wardenmon said seriously. ?Oh no! Look what?s coming!? Erinymon shrieked, nodding to the horizon. First the others? saw nothing special in it, but soon they realized that the glacier was slowly fading away. ?The Nothingness! We must act fast!? Eirica?s mind ? babbling these thoughts. But her prays were answered. Asperimon shouted. ?Hurry, we must go to where the ray is pointing!? In her mind Asperimon let out a sincere thank to the God of Light. The four beast-avatars transferred from the pale sunlight of the glacier to under a huge, red, blazing sun. Something inside Arunamon felt a strange feeling of coming home. The foursome was standing on a high dune, staring down to a big Indian city. Strangely, no movement was in sight. ?We better check out that city?, Arunamon said. ?That kind of emptiness is suspicious.? ?It?s really good you figured out what we should do, kitty-cat. [i]I[/i] personally would never have thought of investigating a giant city lying straight in front of us!? Erinymon said with sarcasm dripping from every word. ?Oh, just come already!? Asperimon sighed. Wardenmon?s every step created a small cloud of dust. ?Geez, I wonder what kind of maniac came up with the idea of building a city in the middle of sand?, he murmured. The houses they passed were simple cubes made out of clay and stone. They passed occasional carts and stalls, but no digimons were in sight - until... ?Guys, look what I found!? Erinymon said, landing to the street. She held a small figure in her talons. ?Hey, release that poor creature at once!? Asperimon snapped, seeing that the little digimon was suffering. ?Okay, okay... I found this guy trying to hide from us. He must be a spy or something?, Erinymon explained. Asperimon approached the digimon. He resembled a tapir with a cloud instead of rear portion. He had a silver helmet on his head. ?Hey, little one. What?s your name?? the fiery horse asked with the friendliest of voices. ?Umm, Tapirmon?, he said quietly. ?Well, who would have guessed...?? Wardenmon said dryly. ?It?s alright, Tapirmon. We?re friendly, we mean no harm?, Asperimon continued, neglecting Wardenmon. ?Umm, really? So you aren?t, umm, minions of Temptremon?? Tapirmon asked shyly. ?Who is Temptremon?? Asperimon asked. ?Umm, how come you don?t know her? She is, umm, the avatar ruling this area. The avatar of Spirit.? ?Avatar of Spirit... So she must be the seventh?, Asperimon pondered. She wished Ari would have been there, which reminded her that they were looking for him. ?Hey, you think Temptremon would know anything about a human-boy with golden hair?? ?Umm, I?m pretty sure she does. After all she, umm, captured him herself.? ?What?? the avatars gasped. Could this be? One of the avatars had turned to evil? Unless... ?Tapirmon, you said Temptremon was ruling this area. But how come there seems to be nobody to rule around here?? ?It?s because everybody have left ? umm, except me. When Temptremon arrived, she cut all the sources of food and water, so everybody was forced to leave. I stayed. Umm, I don?t know why...? ?But could you show us the way to Temptremon?? Asperimon shouted as the four avatars headed towards the domes rising over the roofs. The tiny digimon stayed to watch behind them, and then grinned nastily. ?Goodbye, humans. Now my queen will, umm, have five of you in her possession! And I will be, umm, richly rewarded...? Then Tapirmon let out a small giggle and faded away. Once again Ari woke up. The bed was too soft for him to leave it... If he could sleep just a little more.... ?No!? he thought. [i]?What am I doing?! I?ve got to think reasonably. A daemon-avatar has captured me just by using her charm, and I let her do it! Ari, you must be out of your freaking mind!?[/i] Rapidly he climbed from the huge bed. The mirrors surrounding him reminded him of his lack of clothing, so he took one of the silky sheets and wrapped it around him like a toga. Then he began to search the doorway Temptremon had used. When he found it, he came to a corridor covered entirely in mirrors, just like the room he had slept in. The thousands of reflections made him feel dizzy. ?I?ve got to get away from here before I totally lose it?, he thought out loud. He walked along the hallways, down several staircases and finally reached the big lobby. ?Where are you going, darling?? a smooth, tender voice behind him asked. [i]?Oh no...?[/i]Ari thought and turned slowly. There was Temptremon standing in an innocent position, looking dashing. ?Let me go, daemon!? Ari shouted, trying to keep his mind clear. ?I know that your one of Perfection?s minions and your enchantments won?t work on me anymore!? ?Now that is a horrible thing to say, honey-cup. I saved your life and gave you shelter, and [i]this[/i] is how you show your gratitude? I know many, [i]many[/i] better ways of showing it...? ?I, uh, I...? Ari felt deep feeling of repentance. Temptremon would protect him from the Holes and Perfection, and he wouldn?t have to worry about anything anymore... ?Ari!? a familiar, worried voice cried. Slowly the boy turned to look at the door. A red horse stood there, with a flaming mane and sad eyes. Then the horse changed shape to a redheaded girl with freckled face and green eyes, which were now turned to Temptremon. ?Let him go, witch!? Eirica shouted furiously, and ran to them. She pushed the digimon back. ?Way to go, girl!? another familiar voice from the door shouted. They had come to rescue him! His friends... The spell broke, and Ari fell to the floor, exhausted. ?No! I almost got him!? Temptremon screamed, with her beautiful face distorted of anger and frustration. Her body was shaking. ?Well, at least I can destroy you all now! Shakkoumon, come to me!? One of the high mirror walls broke, and in stepped one of the strangest digimons the kids had seen in this world: it was a huge, silver robot-like monster with angel-wings and golden decorations. It had huge eyes and circular mouth. It was like something you could buy from an Indian bazaar. Temptremon pointed at Ari and Eirica. ?Shakkoumon, I command you to destroy those viruses!? ?Your wish is my command, Mother! [i]Justice Beam!?[/i] the digimon shouted, releasing burning rays from its eyes. Ari grabbed Eirica and rolled aside with her just as the beams hit the mirror panels on the floor. Then Wardenmon and - to Ari?s surprise ? Arunamon dashed in. ?Hey, tea-pot! Look here: [i]Guardian Spirit![/i]? Wardenmon shouted. Shakkoumon turned to the moose/lion-digimon. [i]?Aramitama!?[/i] it thundered, sucking the spiritual dragon inside its body. Then the tip of his head opened, releasing the steam that was left from Wardenmon?s attack. ?Wow, you are a tea-pot, aren?t you?? Wardenmon said surprised. Ari straightened his toga, and searched the lobby with his look. ?Hey, Temptremon is gone!? ?Good. Now could you maybe explain why you?re wearing only a sheet on you?? Eirica asked smirking. ?Err, maybe later. Now we should find Temptremon before she gets away.? Ari was marching to the door, passing Shakkoumon from proper distance, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. ?Hey Ari, I didn?t tell you how glad I am that we found you.? ?Thanks, Eirica?, the boy said blushing. He felt a warm sensation in his heart, and unlike with Temptremon, this time it was real. EPISODE TWENTY-TWO: TASTE YOUR OWN MEDICINE, ENCHANTRESS! ?Wardenmon, there?s no way we can win this battle! We must leave before this place falls apart!? Arunamon shouted. The palace had really turned hazardous. Shakkoumon?s attacks had broken the ceiling, dropping lethal shards to the floor. The two beasts had done bombed their opponent with all their might, but Shakkoumon seemed totally unharmed. ?Okay, I was getting bored at this, anyway.? When the two came out, they saw Erinymon attacking the daemon-avatar of Spirit. Eirica and the half-naked Ari stood within a small distance. ?Don?t let her get away, Laissana!? Ari shouted. ?You... can?t do... this to... me!? Temptremon screamed. [i]?Magica Spectra!?[/i] Suddenly the air was filled with psychedelic patterns and colors. The humans had to close their eyes as they felt their eyes were going to pop out. Erinymon, Wardenmon and Arunamon became weak and lost their powers, changing into their human forms. Then the attack was over, as suddenly as it had begun. Temptremon got back her self-confidence. ?You really thought you could defeat me, humans? I know what you did to Coronamon, Merdramon and Treehumon, but I am much more powerful than any of them. Shakkoumon, destroy them!? The facade of the palace resembling Taj Mahal shattered to pieces as the giant digimon pushed through it. Temptremon begun to speak to it. ?This is the moment I have kept you inside my palace for, Shakkoumon! This is why I treated you like you were my child! This is your meaning! [i]Shakkoumon![/i]? ?Mother?? the giant thundered, obviously confused. Ari realized that Temptremon had just admitted that she was only using Shakkoumon as her weapon, that she didn?t really give a damn of what would happen to him as long as he would protect her. But Temptremon didn?t realize that Shakkoumon had realized it too. ?What are you waiting for? Destroy them!? Temptremon screamed. When Ari looked at her now, he didn?t see any beauty, just madness. Temptremon was truly a daemonette. Then Ari heard the Digital God that had given him his power talk inside his head. [i]Now Is Your Chance, Son! Find Your Accessories, And You Can Defeat Temptremon With Her Own Methods![/i] Ari stood up and ran to the palace before anybody could stop him. ?Ari, wait! Where are you going?!? Eirica shouted terrified. But Ari knew he had to act fast before Shakkoumon could release the mighty anger building up inside it. He ran up the stairs that were now exposed to the plain air. He slipped through the shards, cutting his bare feet countless time. But he kept running, knowing that he could save the day if he would find his D.A.D. [i]?How ironic?[/i], he thought. [i]?The Digital God is now practically my father, and I am helping him through a device called D.A.D.?[/i] Then he shook the silly thought off from his head and concentrated on finding his stuff: the amplifier, Somnimon?s link-statue, the Digidex, his clothes... Some unknown feeling guided him in front of a mirror. He pushed his own image, and the mirror opened, revealing a room with a single table. On the table were his belongings. ?Queen! What is happening in here?? Tapirmon squeaked as he came to the yard. Eirica?s eyes grew big with unbelief. That little digimon had tricked them. ?Well, know we know who [i]not[/i] to trust?, Rosso groaned. Shakkoumons eyes were burning. It was extremely threatening in its silent standing. Temptremon looked at it with a pale face. She was evidently afraid. ?Shakkoumon... I didn?t mean... You must know that I raised you out of love and caring! This is me, your mother!? ?Mother...? Shakkoumon grumbled. ?Uh, why don?t we get the heck out of here?? Laissana asked. ?But Ari is still inside that palace!? Eirica said desperately. ?Our powers are drained!? Kang shouted in frustration. ?We cannot change into avatars! Soon that tea-pot is going to explode, and we are in its immediate range!? ?Guys, I?m here!? Ari shouted running down the stairs, now fully clothed. He was about to put Somnimon?s link into the amplifier, but the voice of his guide stopped him. [i]Take This, Son. Everybody Else Have Gained Their Second Avatar, And Now It Is Time For You To Have Yours.[/i] A blue sphere of light appeared in front of him, and it formed a link-statue resembling a reptilian head with a single horn on its forehead. Ari?s heart filled with hope, and he pushed the link into his D.A.D. ?Power of Stars is my Guide!? Ari felt a transformation running through his body. This was quite different from the times when he had changed into his human avatar. His body grew much larger and more muscular. His neck stretched to heights, and his head became narrow. Then a horn similar to the legendary unicorns grew to his forehead. He had become a white, long-necked dinosaur with blue stripes and a golden horn. And he had a new name. ?Unisarumon, the beast avatar of Stars!? The dinosaur dashed past Shakkoumon, targeting his eyes on Temptremon. ?Now you will taste your own medicine, witch! [i]Illusion Horn![/i]? Unisarumon?s long horn began glow eerily, and a sphere of light left from it, surrounding Temptremon. The daemon of Spirit was petrified with horror. She had been too proud, and now her own weapon, Shakkoumon, was turning against her. Suddenly Shakkoumon began to grow until it was the only thing she saw. Then it began to multiply. Soon there were dozen Shakkoumons all staring down at her with burning eyes. ?No... I?m sorry... So sorry... NO!!!? Temptremon felt her mind shattering. Then she passed out. Everything was quiet for some time. The Chosen had seen Unisarumon attack Temptremon, and then the daemon had lost her mind. Suddenly she had lost her power, and a broken link-statuette fell to the ground, revealing Temptremon?s true form. It was a small pink digimon with cat-ears and long fox-tail. Tapirmon walked slowly to it. ?Umm, queen...? Is it... you?? Unisarumon changed back to Ari, who ran to the digimons. He took out the digidex, and scanned the remnant of Temptremon. ?Chyamon, rookie-level animal digimon, known for its lovely character and smashing cuteness?, the voice announced. Eirica crouched to the small digimon. ?Chyamon? Can you hear me? You?re free now?, the girl said smiling. ?Umm, free from what?? Tapirmon asked confused. ?From the curse of Perfection?, Eirica explained patiently, though her voice was stern. She hadn?t forgiven Tapirmon for his treachery. ?Umm, you mean... those holes? Was my queen a servant of those holes? But she was supposed to protect me from them!? Tapirmon said nervously. ?In a way she did protect you. As a minion of Perfection, Temptremon could keep the holes away from the city?, Ari explained. Then a small voice caught his attention. ?Look, Chyamon?s waking!? Eirica, Ari and Tapirmon leaned closer to the pink digimon. ?Light... So many colors... Then... Nothingness... Am I back again?? she said weakly. ?Yes?, Eirica responded. ?Yes, you are. The evil is gone now.? Then the girl petted the digimon?s forehead. Rosso, Laissana and Kang looked at the huge figure of Shakkoumon. It seemed to have stopped when Temptremon lost her powers. ?What now? Do we just leave that thing there?? Rosso asked. ?I think it is happy that way. Shakkoumon has closed its eyes from this world, and the storm of emotions has gone away?, Kang said philosophically. ?Or maybe its batteries have run out, who cares!? Laissana snapped. ?Let?s just move on! There?s still daemons out there, lurking to blow us into oblivion!? Both Rosso and Kang sighed deeply, and the threesome walked to the others. ?What?s the situation here?? Rosso asked carefully. ?Chyamon says she knows Alphamon; she claims to be his sister!? Ari explained. ?She had promised to take us to Sagemon?s house. Maybe we can find all the answers there.? ?But most likely that old pervert still suffers from dementia, and a trip there would be a total waste of time?, Laissana opposed. ?Well, you have any better ideas then?? Ari asked. The girl was silent, so they decided to follow Chyamon?s lead. Just as they were going to leave, Tapirmon raced after them. ?Umm, what about me?? Chyamon turned to look at her former servant. ?Call everybody home, Tapirmon. This city should be brought back to its lively self.? ?I will do that, umm, queen?, Tapirmon said humbly. The five Chosen and the digimon guiding them walked towards the sunset, and suddenly they vanished.[/font]

Cid: "Attention please, people! Before I announce the teams, we will do a little jump between dimensions. Our first world is Planet of Final Fantasy 7. Hold on!" Highwind took off with amazing ease, and the audience gathered into the field gasped as the airship increased its speed and vanished to a whirling hole in the sky. Squall (with a black eye): "Shucks!" Tidus (with a black eye): "You tell me about it." ******* Planet, the world of Final Fantasy 7. Airship Highwind appears above the city of Midgar carrying the ten contestants of Final Fantasy Survivor. Inside the ship: Cid: "Welcome, Survivors. Now, some of you may know each other, and there might be some surprises included. But I stress that this competition has little to do with the adventures you all have been experienced earlier in your life. I have had to twitch the laws of nature in more than one cases, but if you just don't think about it, you'll manage just fine. Then, I have had the task to divide you ten into two teams competing against each other. The first captains are also chosen based on the names of the teams, but the captains can be changed in every Council. And the teams are: [color=blue]AVALANCHE[/color] *captain: Cloud (Tasis) *Rikku (C_L) *Zell (BB) *Zack (AJeh) *Rinoa (Mei) [color=red]TANTALUS[/color] *captain: Zidane (Zidane) *Auron (Ginny) *Freya (Sakuramon) *Cecil (Desbreko) *Sephiroth (Domon) But neither of the teams will stay at this airship. Instead, you will both have an own airship: either the glamorous and dynamic RAGNAROK (from FF8) or the scrappy and slow CARGO SHIP (from FF9). To get your hands on either of them, you must pass the [u]FIRST CHALLENGE: AIRSHIP RUMBLE![/u] Here's what you have to do: As a team, choose ONE of these 3 hints, find out what place it means, go there, and wait for my announcing. One of the places holds the key to Ragnarok, one to Cargo Ship, and the third to neither of them (however, if the team gets there, they can have the airship that the other team didn't get). Here are the hints (you can't choose the same as the other team!): 1) Rough hike accross this deserted island, at the goal you will find a man with dozen faces and hands, next to a tower of fighters. 2) Nothing here but white, still you can find a village here, to where a scientist once fled with his loved one. 3) Can you imagine another place with such glory, joy and richness? Look deeper, and you see that the place is filled with greed and sad stories. I will now let you teams down to Midgar. Negotiate which of the hints you will follow, make your way to there (to get a ride: for chocobos, go to Chocobo Farm; for a ship, go to Junon; get a car from Costa Del Sol), and WAIT for me! I wish you the best of luck. Survivors, ready? GO!" Then the floor under the contestants feet opened. A beam of light carried them to the dark city of Midgar. Of course you MAY ask! The eviction works rather similar to the tv-show: the team that loses a challenge will gather in Cid's airship (which depends on the world the game is currently going on, just like Cid's appereance), and then the team-members will vote off one among them (and a new captain to the team) by sending me a private message. Then you all just wait nicely until I come to announce the results. Only the last election is different, but I've already told about that in the actual thread.

As the nine contestants were gazing to the field from the doorway, the tall shadow of Cid fell upon them Cid: "Boy, that's the longest short-distance run I've ever seen, I have to say..." Auron: "Could not it be possible to just... depart?" Cid: "Well, it would be fair to have equal amount of people in the teams... But I'll call upon a certain person, who could probably break this situation." Cid leaves to the control-room, but at the door he turns around, Cid: "Oh, and by the way, welcome to Survivor, everybody!" ********** offgame: Wow, Gin: a whole website!!! You asked if there should be a page dedicated to Cid, and my answer is: by all means! And JCBaggee and Draagul, you better hurry, because I'm going to approve Domon's application as a player. So the first of you three to check in to Highwind will be the last player. HURRY UP!!!

I don't mind because I won't be able to get PS2 - not to mention the newer FF-games - until I've found myself a decent job... and that's NEVER going to happen! :p But I have been trying to get new images everywhere, but nobody seems to have them - well, maybe some japanese sites, but I'm totally lost in them... A random clicking would do little good... Feh.

A shining airship lands on the field, where a whole horde of people are waiting. The door opens, and out steps a tall man, the owner of the airship, called Highwind. "So, people! This is the third (un)official OtakuBoards Survivor contest, this time in Final Fantasy style! I'm your host Cid, and I will guide the players through various worlds, where they have to successfully pass various challenges. There's room for 10 people in this airship, so the ten people first to check-in are in the game. Then they will be divided into two teams (names revealed later), and they can begin the ultimate surviving challenge. But now, to the rules: 1) You have to be among the 11 people who signed up in the recruitment section to this game (who are Sakuramon, Ginny, Calumon_luver, JCBaggee, Zidane, Tasis, Draagul, Desbreko, Braidless Baka, AJEH and Mei) 2) All the normal rules of roleplaying apply to this game as well (so you should all recognize SPAM and avoid it ;) ) 3) As special features this game includes eviction AND (my own little adding) captain-election. Both of those are done ONLY when a team LOSES a challenge. Then all the members of the team will send me a Private Message, where they CLEARLY say who they want to be OUT, and who they want as a CAPTAIN. You CAN vote for yourself in both cases, but then you have to have DARN GOOD REASONS. ;) 4) The captain is the one in charge of the actions of the team, and in tie-situation in the eviction, s/he will have the final word. The captains are also expected to do CAPTAINS LOG every once in a while, meaning that they should report on the doings of their teams, how they have been doing etc. 5) When there are only four contestants left, the teams will emerge, and each player will play as an individual. Then, when there are only two left, I will post a thread with a poll, and ANYBODY can go in there and vote for their favorite. Well, this was the most important stuff.
