What's special about where you live?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in General Discussion
Nothing is special about where I live. New Jersey is the *** of America, especially the town I'm in. Now, even though I hate it here, I actually can't see myself anywhere else for some reason. I think I'd hate it anywhere I'd go. Maybe I'm just an ***hole? *shrugs* Yeah, that's probably it. -
The best way to tell a guy your not interested
The Vampire: Ed replied to Lennex3's topic in General Discussion
Well, I don't know much about this obviously as a straight male, but as a guy on the receiving end I would like straight forward honesty. You lie, and it kills a lot of trust. That is if the guy you are talking about is like a friend to you. But if he's not really a friend, honesty is still the best policy. Listen to Lore also. That's very good advice. -
Is It Really Wrong To Have Peoples In Your Head?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Latharix_sama's topic in General Discussion
Nope, nothing wrong with that at all. I do it all the time myself. But a lot of people think I'm crazy because of that--but when you're screaming and trying to punch the guy in your head people tend to think that way of you. It was his fault though for arguing that Coke is better than Pepsi, crazy little idiot he is! *shrugs* -
Oh man, this movie seriously kicked ***. The action was unbelievable. I got to give props to the choreographer, because the fights, the chase scenes, everything was so awesomely done. There was quite a bit of comedy in there too. It was pretty funny watching the movie with a bunch of people constantly groaning as they watched the violent fights. Seriously, everyone who is a fan of martial arts movies or just action in general should see this movie as soon as possible. The only thing that really annoyed me about the movie was that it was subtitled, and not dubbed in English. I would have rather spent more time watching than reading, but it was all good even still. Another thing I liked about this movie was that it didn't have to use DragonBall Z like battles (flying, etc.) to make it seem like a good movie like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon or Hero did, it was good all on it own and unlike those movies I wasn't bored one second. I haven't watch football in such a long time. I've been disgusted with my favorite team, the Eagles, for so long. So tonight watching the Super Bowl was my first time watching since I was about seven or eight. I was hoping the Eagles could turn themselves around and get out of this yearly let down when they always came so close to getting the "big win" to only lose. Well, although I was still routing for them, as soon as I heard they were going to the Super Bowl I said they were going to just lose it and disappoint their fans again and to no one's surprise in my family they did just that. The Eagles are losers. And, McNabb, that screw up threw two interceptions when the Eagles needed to score the most. He's boasted about so much, and he screws up so badly. Well, he fits in with the rest of his team that's for sure. The tradition of Eagles dissapointing their fans live on!

People... what are you afraid of?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Eternal Snow's topic in General Discussion
Have those things actually happened to you before? One cannot say that they don't fear something they have not experienced. (If this has happened, then please disregard the above statement.)
No, not the gun part. But I've had a knife pulled on me before, I just don't care enough to be afraid. A knife is more intimidating of a weapon as well seeing as you're there for the full experience seeing the knife go in and come out if stabbed, but with a gun it's quick and you don't really see it coming so it's a much different reaction. Doesn't matter, like I said I just don't care. Now why did you need to pull out what I said in my post and pick at it? -
People... what are you afraid of?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Eternal Snow's topic in General Discussion
I'll be honest. Nothing really scares me. Someone could stick a gun in my face or put a knife to my throat and I just wouldn't give a crap. But what I do fear, the only thing really, is being alone. In the long run my only, and greatest fear is to be alone. Sounds stupid but whatever. -
yay, u used spoiler tags... well anyways, you need to take a chill pill or somethin man, its not that serious, i was just playin around and pointed that out. The person that made this thread said that for any game you should use the spoiler blackout. I dont care I seriously dont. What i said was all in good fun, but you thought it was more than that. Also, many ppl have not played older games and years later go try it out for the first time. For instance i just picked up Duke Nukem N64 about 3 weeks ago to try it out. ::wipes sweat from forehead:: okay, im done. No hard feelings...?
Haha, it's funny that you took me seriously. I said things like "I don't need no stinking spoiler tags." and "Bow down and kiss it." Then ended it all with one of these babies " ." Did it really sound that serious? Lol, anyway sorry for busting your *** but I was just playing. Anyway, yeah, no hard feelings. We coo', ya dig?
ur suppose to use spoiler tags for stuff like that ...
Hey buddy it's a topic about endings. Anyone who reads this topic should expect some spoilers and I shouldn't have to use spoiler tags for it because of that fact. Not only that but this game is like five years old now, so it's not like I'd be spoiling something new for anyone. I don't need no stinking spoiler tags. Another thing, are you expecting to get in good with the mods, James, or something with this? The moderators know what they're doing and if they want spoiler tags in my post they'd either do it or tell me to do it. You don't need to be trying to do their job and attempting to correct me. Bow down and kiss it. Anyway, another game with a disappointing ending would definitely have to be in Manhunt. The game was pretty good for what it was, but the ending was just so bad.
After playing through the entire game it ends with Cash killing the director and simply disappearing. On top of that it's a relativity short ending, and makes you feel somewhat like you've wasted your time.
So, yeah, it's a bad ending. Happy, w00t, I used spoiler tags!
I was just about to mention that movie, Freddy vs. Jason really dissapointed me. I went to see it with a few friends of mine, and I'm usually really scared of scary movies. I hate 'em, but this one was just lame. It's like, "Oh I'm scared, theres a gas station but I think I'll run in the woods now like an idiot" and just made me laugh. I disagree with the person who said re-watching old movies doesn't make you scared, the older ones still scare me lol. Although the Grudge looked pretty frigten for me, there will always be one movie or two that will actually be creepy. It's just you have to search for them harder.
Hey, Freddy vs. Jason kicked ***. It wasn't really meant to be a horror movie, it was something for the fans who's been wanting to see the legends of slashers go at it. They couldn't completely head away from the horror aspect their individual movie series' featured because then it just wouldn't feel anything at all like a Freddy or Jason movie. Freddy vs. Jason was meant to be a fun movie for the fans, and if you went into it expecting a horror movie then you can only blame yourself when obviously the main attraction was meant to be exactly what they named the movie after, Freddy vs. Jason. Secondly, I find it hard to believe you'd think the Grudge looked creepy at all. The movie looked like nothing more than a rip off of the Ring, and when that little boy meowed--I just laughed and thought to myself "Who the hell is going to be frightened by this?" On top of that, that strange ghost girl looked so fake and plastic a lot of the times I just looked at it and assumed it was some low budget film that blew most of it's money on getting Sarah Michelle Gellar to agree to do the movie. Anyway, my overall opinion is that horror movies aren't getting any worse, it's about the same really. There have always be really bad horror movies, even in the past. The reason why a lot of the past horror movies were hailed so much was because they had newer concepts and now just about every concept that you can think of for a horror movie has been used and it's hard to come up with a really good horror movie that is original anymore. Why do you think there are so many remakes of movies? But the remake of Romero's Dawn of the Dead was a really good horror movie in my opinion, best I've seen in a while. Also, I haven't seen it yet but there is this movie from Japan called Ju-on that looks interesting, it's from the creator of The Ring. I seen it in Wal-Mart a while back but haven't yet had the chance to pick it up.

Goldeneye Rouge Agent. It's not terrible, or really bad persay--but it's a huge let down and a cheap cash in on the name of a great game. First off, it plays nothing like the original Goldeneye. It a cheap Halo wanna be with terrible AI, shoddy unresponsive controls, bad aiming, lame voice acting, and very outdated bland repetitive graphics. It's not bad, in the sense that there is still some fun to be had, just very little of it and the game itself if very mediocre. EA needs to be beaten down with baseball bats for playing up to the fans of the original Goldeneye and attempting to use it's name to get sales. Rot in hell EA! Smackdown! vs. Raw. Well, unless you're a wrestling fan or at least play the Smackdown! games you'd know why Smackdown! vs. Raw is so bad. Especially if you've played it predecessor Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain. They ruined the CAW, took out many moves and some features, added very badly done and unneeded voice overs, terrible AI, no selling of moves, the story mode was more linear, couldn't edit rosters in story mode or add CAWs in to season unless you were actually playing as them, no legends or Kurt Angle in story mode, the online mode was half assed garbage only utilizing two of the many match types actually in the game, only two players at a time in a match online, options aren't adjustable online, not all arenas were available to use online, the roster was terrible, etc. I could go on and on and on. Smackdown! vs. Raw isn't only a disapointment but it's one of the worse wrestling games I've played.

Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain had a very disappointing ending. It's was one of those cliff hanger endings, but that's not what necessarily was bad about it. The cliff hanger I could have dealt with, but the ending itself is like only ten seconds long.
Raziel find Kain, Kain says something and then escapes through a portal, Raziel follows, the end.
LAME!!! Spoiler tags own you. :p - Desbreko

I am skeptical about a lot of things. Big foot, the lockness monster, etc. I am not to sure about. But things like ghosts, spirits from beyond, etc. I do fully believe in and have had some experience with such. Some people think I'm crazy, some think I make it up, but I know what I saw and heard. That's all I need as proof to myself.

Do you relate to your Star Sign?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Redemption's topic in General Discussion
I am a Cancer, and going by all the quoted things from Pumpkin's post, yes I relate to my star sign perfectly. I hate arguments, I am highly emotional and sensitive but on the inside mostly not physically on the outside, although I am not a very trusting person security is very important to me, not much of a risk taker, and I am basically shy and am not very sociable. So, in my particular case, my star sign fits me perfectly. I don't know if that's good or bad though. -
I collect swords, knives, daggers, and an assortment of lethal weapons with blades upon them. Why? I don't know, just sort of happened. I like swords, and such so I got me one. Then everyone else started giving me swords, knives, etc., as presents and such. So that's how I've come to collect an unnerving amount of weapons. Fun stuff. Aside from that I've built up quite the collection of comic books, not that I really wanted them. When growing up my parents thought I was really into them or something and kept getting them for me, and that's about all there to tell about that. But mostly I collect video games, video games I barely play and never get rid of. Ah well. Oh, and I collect dust too....

American Idol isn't my sort of thing, nor is the music they usually sing. So I'm not a fan of the shows, however I usually watch the first few batches of "episodes" for the tryouts because they're hilarious. There are always tons of people who stink at singing but they, for some reason, can't tell that themselves. I maybe sounding like an a-hole, but the only reason I ever watch is to see Simon insult people. That's it. Besides, the show is a joke anyway. You just about always know who's going to win because of the way they talk about people on the show all the time, and besides that I think, for the most part, the shows are fixed. Because some of the winners were obviously worse than some of the losers.
Well I think Ed means that the alien's evil is the same as our evil in meaning.
Ed didn't say nuttin' 'bout no aliens sucka! Anyway, yeah, Panda got what I was saying. It's not really possible to define good or evil, because what you might think of as good or evil might be the opposite to someone else. As far as I know Hitler probably thought he was doing good by "cleansing" the races and all, but that's in the eyes of he and his followers. In our eyes he was evil, a monstrous man murdering the innocent. Yeah, I believe he was evil, but he didn't. To him people of "unclean" blood were evil, and he was good. It's all subjective and varies with different people's opinion of the meaning of good and evil. So this applies even with humanity as an overall.
-
In your opinion, are humans inherently good or evil and why?
No one is inherently good or evil. It depends on how you are raised that could determine that, but even then it is uncertain whether you could be good or evil in the long run. Everyone has the power in them to do either, so I don't think anyone is inherently good or evil. I mean what about those stories of the ex-convict who turned his/her life around, they were once "evil" but now are "good." There is no real way to define things when someone could be either good or evil at any moment.

Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
god Ed, you sound like my father, just always pissin and moanin about stuff. :flaming: [/COLOR']
Hey, I say what I mean and mean what I say. It's not my fault you made the mistake of saying something so wrong. Next time just say what you really mean instead of having to come up with little clues for James and I to figure out what you really meant. Besides, how is it pissing and moaning when I'm making actual conversation about the usefulness of the XBox even after the next generation of consoles are released? And another thing the whole argument you made was pointless because you were just stating something everyone knew, except worded poorly so no one really understood what you initially meant. Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
i didnt mean that Xbox will fail, it will just kinda have no more use.[/COLOR']
Okay, so if you didn't mean that the XBox would fail, then, why did you say it? You said XBox would fail. So if you didn't mean to say it, why say it? Say what you mean. Anyway, although James pretty much covered everything I don't see how there won't be anymore use for the XBox. What if XBox 2 isn't backwards compatible and you still want to play your XBox games? Well, you're still going to need the XBox then won't you? It'll still have some use to it, unless of course Microsoft makes XBox 2 backwards compatible like the PS2, which basically made the Playstation one itself pretty useless. Also, you could use the XBox as a sort of juke box if you wanted to once the XBox 2 is released. Load up all your favorite songs and just play them off your XBox instead of using them in your stereo and scratching the CDs up. There is one use for a "useless" Xbox. -
Knowing you as long as I have I can't say that I'm really surprised at how this poem turned out. It's awesome. You described everything so greatly and seeing as how it's littered with sexual innuedo--it also disturbed me. *shudders* Ugh... Good job, I guess...

Finally, a poem about mac and cheese. Everyone can now die happy. Leave it to you to think of a poem for macaroni and cheese. Heh, it's an awesome poem, good job. What's next? Maybe a poem about--crackers? Hmm? Just an idea. :D

Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere

XBOX has great games. I didn't say all the other games were bad. I'm just saying a fact: Microsoft relies on halo. I played crimson skies and kung fu chaos and loved them. But I have 4 friends that have XBOXs(off the top of my head) and all of them bought them to play Halo. They have other good games, but they got XBOXs because of Halo.
Oh, okay, so you've come to the conclusion that Microsoft is relying solely on Halo to sell it's console, based off of the fact that it's the reason your friends bought XBoxs. Well--why didn't you tell me that to begin with?! That changes everything... Wait, no--actually it just proves you're still going on opinion alone, not facts. Four of your friends buying XBoxs for Halo doesn't make it a fact that Microsoft is relying on Halo to sell the XBox. Sorry.
i so badly hate to say so but microsoft is relying on Halo and its games to come to the future. most of its money comes from the buyers of the game. in 2004, Halo two was the highest selling game of the year. it was all over G4tv and cartoon network. it was very good and its stats have increased by a lot. furthering that the next Halo game will be an even bigger hit. Xbox its self will fail. the new Xbox 2 will be even better with better graphics, leaving the original Xbox out in the snow. after that, all in time, all games and their boxes will end completely.[/COLOR']
And you, Misaki, are saying Microsoft is relying on Halo solely because it sold well for them. How does that make sense? Does Sony rely solely on the Grand Theft Auto series because they sold really well? No, no one console is relying on one game or series to sell it. Someone give me a real conclusive reason or fact that Microsoft is relying on Halo to sell their consoles. No one can, because thus far it's just been an opinion I've only seen mentioned in this topic by Morpheus, and you, Misaki. Also, how can you say that the XBox will be a failure because of the XBox 2 will be better? How does that even make sense? Was the Playstation a failure because the PS2 came out? No, it's evolution. If XBox was truly a failure Microsoft wouldn't even bother with a XBox 2 nor would they have bothered to let the XBox survive this long. -
Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
If microsoft doesn't change it's strategy, XBOX2 will fail. They can't just rely on Halo anymore. People have played Halo, and people like it. But it won't be the reason XBOX sells. No matter how good halo 3 is, most people will stick with 1 and 2 instead of buying a new system for 3. Ed, Halo 2 sold 5 million copies, 125 million was the amount in dollars.
Even if that is true and it was 125 million dollars rather than copies, 125 million dollars on the first day isn't anything to scoff at either. But you're missing the point. You shouldn't speak for others without the facts, like saying that no one really cares about something anymore when the sales figures obviously prove you wrong. And another thing Microsoft isn't relying on Halo to sell it's console, although I'm sure for some it was the primary reason for their purchase, because it's not like it's the only noteworthy XBox title out there. The XBox not only has Halo and Halo 2, but it also has popular titles such Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2, Chronicles of Riddick, Fable, Dead or Alive 3, Ninja Gaiden, etc. There plenty more that could be named, but I'm just throwing out the more obvious ones. Also, don't forget that while some games are multiplatform usually the games are done best on the XBox. The Splinter Cell games immediately come to mind. The XBox has way more to offer than just Halo, and is in no way relying on Halo to sell the console. The XBox, like every other console, relies on all of it's games to sell the console it's not just one game. -
Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
The Vampire: Ed replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
Well, I've now found even more evidence proving you wrong Morpheus about how supposedly no one cares about Halo anymore. Out of every game for all current consoles from this generation Halo is the fourth best selling game behind the three Grand Theft Auto titles on the PS2. So how is it again that no one cares about Halo?
