Sorry about that, it's updated now. Doesn't it look a lot prettier than before? I spent some time on re-doing it! Anyway. Agreeing with James, you can't whore the Worm. The worm needs whoring!

I don't want anything for Christmas. Which is good, because I probably won't get much for Christmas either. We've always celebrated Saint Nicholas instead, with a bunch of presents. Mostly chosen with the name-in-the-hat method and with a limit of about 5 or 10 euros. All I want for Christmas and New Year's is my girlfriend. :( I'll see her again on the 27th of December, though. Oh, but for Saint Nicholas this year I asked charcoal pencils and guitar picks. And if I would want to add anything else, I'd just like the book Rumo, by Walter Moers.... Make that "any-book-you-can-find-by-Walter-Moers,-except-The-City-Of-Dreaming-Books,-because-I-already- have-that-one." :)
Ludwig Van Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite pieces by him.
It's one of my favourite pieces ever. The whole sonata is pure brilliance, technically and emotionally. It's kept a rather simple level that builds up perfectly, but it's never under the top, nor is it ever boring. I envy that deaf fellow. I like to listen to some Gustav Mahler every now and then. His pieces mostly last between 10 and 30 minutes and build up real good as well. But he was one of the more progressive and modern composers of his time (late 19th century and early 20th), so you can't really compare his pieces to Mozart, for example.

... Err, if they ever were made downloadable, I guess that would've happened around 3 years ago, around the time they actually posted this thread. :whoops: Well, anyway, c4slayer, it's against the rules to bring up (really) old threads - that are way beyond the first two pages - so I'm going to lock this thread. Please don't do it again, thank you very much. If you've got any questions, feel free to send me a Private Message about it. :)

Did you ever lie in bed, looking up, and think: "wow, I wish my ceiling wasn't as lame as it is now" and then started dreaming about how you would like your ceiling to look like? Or maybe you've never been in that situation and you didn't think about looking at your ceiling until the very moment you read this topic? Are you the kind of person that'd like a blue sky with a few clouds, or perhaps a night sky instead? Would you like a lot of hearts or it to be totally black? Would you like an extremely detailed picture of elephants rushing at you, or perhaps you'd like the ceiling to have furniture, as if you're living upside down? Whatever the case is: What would the ceiling of your dreams look like? And guess what? If this topic is fun enough, we might discuss other parts of your room! Oh happy day! Beware: [E] rated thread.

Oh, but I didn't mean that you have to overlap all of the blue - because it indeed is a great colour - but you can let pictures overlap each other.
As for my next collage, it’s going to be OB-themed. I haven’t quite figured out what to put it in it. So, I’m open to suggestions.
This sounds very silly, and I don't even like doing it myself so much, but you might want to try and create an ehm... Well, one of those brainstorm things with "OTAKUBOARDS" in a circle in the middle and you just write down all the words that come to mind when you think of OtakuBoards. Just go for quantity while you brainstorm and check for quality later. :P I'll comment on the photos later, because now I'm rather busy, but I just want to mention that the first capture is really awesome. :]

Is it okay to beat the crap out of your best friend's woman?
Boo replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in General Discussion
What? lol I think Boo meant lifting women up and putting them on a shoulder in a playful/flirting way, not a take-down method.
That's right.
Ehh, not quite. Men can't strike ladies. Any woman who by her actions removes herself from that category is fair game, provided she really, really[/I'] deserves it.
But you can't really stretch the rule this far because some people won't be able to draw a just line. -
Is it okay to beat the crap out of your best friend's woman?
Boo replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in General Discussion
Why not? Why can I not hit a girl, but I can smack a man up left and right? This is the reason no one believes husbands when they get abused...
You can beat women. You're only bound to the standard rules like "don't hit smaller people", "don't hit people with glasses" and "don't hit fat kids, because they'll feel let down by society". Men can't hit women, though. It's a rule. Good one at it. You may only lift women up and lift them over your shoulder or things like that. :) -
Now as for Deus ex Machina, just do what the rest of us do, ignore him [strike]when he's like that[/strike].
Perhaps we should ask the administrators to automatically put Deus ex Machina on new members their ignore lists. And they can't change it until they're past 50 posts or so. It might just be enough to let new members stay a bit longer.

That's one major lot, so I'll try to comment on them somehow. :P Overall your use and placement of stock is really good and you apparently are really good with matching background colours and stock. What I'm not too fond of in most pieces is the text. It really varies per piece, but overall, the text seems to fail to stand out well (because it's for example small, blurry or it's placed oddly) or fit the rest of the atmosphere in a lot of the pieces. My favourite banner is probably "ichinellle2.png". The way the stock blends in with the background is swell and candy for the eye. Or the one you're using now, which is also really wonderful, but I don't really care for the text. Mainly "wrath" in the bottom, which doesn't seem to fit and mainly distracts one's eye. Though the atmosphere of the banner is really nice. All in all, good job on all of them.

You can't go wrong with a monkey on a bicycle. Anyway, I really like the collages. The shade of blue is chosen well and it's cool that not one of the boards (are those your own designs?) is pasted vertically or horizontally straight on the collage. For a next time, you could add more to the collage. Don't be afraid to overlap or that it might look too busy or anything - it's a collage. :P I sure hope to see more of these in the future, because I love collages and it's not often that you see them here. The drawings, like said, are evident of a hand that could surely grow into something really great. Especially the second pictures proves of that. It has really 'natural' lines, that flow into each other well, while still keeping that not entirely realistic style. Great job on the nose too. Maybe for a next time you could try some more poses, with the legs in the back of the picture in an other position than those in the fron of the picture and/or the head/neck of the creature in an other position. It's good anatomy practice. :] The picture of the dog is adorable, I want such a dog too. :x The grey shades work well with the look of the dog. It's just a pity that the focus of the photo isn't entirely on him. Instead it seems to be on the floor. But it's a dog, so getting a clear focus is really difficult. I hope that we'll see more of your work in the nearby future, I'm enjoying it and smell lot's of promise. :]
Hi, I've been part of MyOtaku for a while now, 2005 I think, but never got around to going to this site. I'm looking forword to getting to know those i don't know already. :animesmil
Don't think he means the spar forum. I conclude it was something on MyOtaku that we had no idea of. :

Eep, I've wanted to do this some time ago, but I don't have really good audio editing material, so I'll have to work with Audacity until I get something better too. What can I do? Ehm... - Guitar - Bass - Lyrics - Melodic vocals (A lot - I probably have a Baritone voice) - Rhytmic vocals - Beatbox :] And more, but then I'll need to hi-jack my friend's place... Well, like I said, my recording/editing possibilities are kind of limited (I have a headset mic.), but I can at least write down what I can't record. Sounds like fun to be involved in this. :x

It has been that time of year (silent hint:
HALLOWEEN
), so now I long to know all about your Halloween experiences. Was there any trick-or-treating going on? If so, what did you get? If not, why didn't you go? And just to broaden the topic: Tell us all about your trick-or-treat experiences from the past. Any really bad experiences? Was there a night when you got so much candy that you couldn't carry it anymore? Have you been shot with a shotgun or chased down by a dog? And of course: Have you ever done a trick? I'm very interested, because I love sweets (especially when they're free), but in the Netherlands we barely celebrate halloween (the people that do are mostly loners). Discuss!

The soundeffects of DOOM I and II. They make you feel awesome. When you pick up a weapon, you really feel "yeah, I've picked up an awesome new weapon, and I'm 'bout to own the evil spawn of hell". Though, especially the BFG9000 has a marvelous sound. The sound of power with no boundaries, except for the amount of ammo you have. The sound of demons exploding and everything really adds to that. ... Oh, and level 32 or 33 of Doom II has Commander Keen sound effects in it.

Well, Inuyasha Fandom, you're not far off, but actually written art belongs in the OB Anthology. So, I'll move this thread for you to that forum, but now you know where to place your poetry and things from now on. :whoops: If you have any questions about what on Earth just happened to your thread, feel free to PM me.

Had it going clockwise the whole time, until I figured out how to turn it around (the head and foot are easiest)... Now I can't get it to go clockwise again! *clicks* Oh, it just went clockwise again. ... My brain doesn't like this. Edit: It's back to counter-clockwise. MAKE UP MY MIND.
I enjoyed reading "Dreaming". I liked how you had the line breaks fall in the middle of a thought, and how you tied everything back to the opening line/stanza/two words. I was caught a little off guard by "I dream everything on a pile", though. Not too sure where you went with that. :animesmil
Oh yes, sorry about the pile thing. It's dutch translated rather directly. I guess I'll take it out, as well as add an 's' to borders. :P But thankyous very much!
That's good to hear. Of course, there's a limit to how much of the story I'll reveal up front. I like to keep people guessing.
Of course, if you don't reveal enough, nobody cares if you like to keep them guessing, they just won't join. :P Like James, I definitely will check it out if the story is any good. It's been a long time since I've participated in any roleplaying stories.
You know what I love about this place? This thread, where we were earlier discussing the benefits and flaws of inside jokes, has BECOME an inside joke. Yep, that's how we roll...
Not really. It's just a joke that started and evolved within this thread. Hihi. ^^

Okay, just some random thoughts that I typed down so I finally had an entry for my livejournal, but I actually like how it came out. It's loaded with references to happy personal experiences. Enjoy. :)
Dreaming I dream I dream everything I dream everything together I dream everything apart I dream everything I dream about borders I dream about wings I dream about balloons I dream about chocolate, pancakes, stroopwafels and speculaas far too early in the year I dream about movies, grapes, strawberryflavour and loads of candy that never hurts your teeth I dream about fireworks, music and dragonboats without the ugly vikings on them I dream about aircastles like everyone else does but mine are prettier I dream about fairytales of which I don't care that they are fake because fairytales are real I dream about green elephants whose trunks are entangled and spout water over each other because they like it - like they should I dream about stars, comets, moons, planets and milkyways I have never seen but have walked so many times because it's our terrain I dream about clocks that spin too fast but spin slowly for me because I love the world and the world loves me I dream about eyes green as that French river - like my mother describes them - that look into the most beautiful eyes in the whole world Am I dreaming? Then let me wake up naturally and then I'll see where I woke up
That was it. First time I actually used weird spacing in a poem, mind you.

You can detach your myOtaku site via your myOB . Under the menu heading 'Miscellaneous' you should go to the MyOtaku Connect item and from there you can detach your account. It's a pretty new feature, which many of us are very happy about. :whoops:

No one after my generation seems to know why Boris Yeltsin is. Boris Yeltsin! That added up to just have become 18, makes me feel real, real old. Oh, and my IQ says I'm a bunch of years older than I am anyway, so perhaps I'm still running behind with feeling old.

When I pop up an explorer, the first thing I do is open OtakuBoards. Not because I can't live without OtakuBoards, but mainly because it's become a habit. When OtakuBoards is down, I'm not bothered and I just go on and check my email before continuing with other things, but... 'o' and 't' are probably the most used keys on my keyboard. Just because, as a habit, I check this site every 10 minutes when I'm on FireFox or IE. For the rest I don't have much things that I check often. My e-mail and certain news sites to stay up-to-date. I don't like Facebook and don't ever check it, don't use my LiveJournal, only check mySpace every 3 days for a minute or so (mainly to listen to music) and am not active on any other forums. ... Wow! Yay, I have a life! Never realized it. :)
