OtakuBoards Terrorist Con THE CAVE - It was that time of the year again. The OtakuBoards Terrorist conference (OBTC, for short) was once again an amazing succes. The amount of visitors was recordbreaking as was the amount of activies this year. All in all, a guarantee for a great time. ____- by Boo A few years back the first OtakuBoards Terrorist meeting ever, located “somewhere in Afghanistan”, was held, called The secret OtakuBoards Terrorist meeting. It was almost revolutionary. The first time the real OtakuBoards Terrorists could come together and celebrate their terrorist existence. Now, years later, after a namechange (it is now officially the OBTC) and an a lot bigger advertisement campaign, it was held again, and it was bigger than ever. The visitors were very excited, even before the conference “hall” opened up for the public. ‘I can’t wait to see the new design tripwire that are said to be revealed today, by Attacki!’, thus a very terrorist that would like to remain anonymous. It was followed rather quickly by a lot of excited shouts about some of the famous artists and experts that would visit the con this year, plus some inappropriate remarks by an other person that would like to remain anonymous. As soon as the hall opened, people rushed in, mostly ignoring the startled dressed up people that were to welcome them. Apart from the one individual who went to see the tripwire, all the stands were pretty much mobbed by the crowd, paired with a lot of shouting. There were a few times that the security had to step in, but most of it went peaceful enough (as far as the word peaceful can be used at a Terrorist meeting). One of the most visited stands was the stand where Charlie Bin Laden was signing, but also the ‘Bomb The CTU’ videogame stand was very crowded. However, the tripwire stand didn't get more than 3 interested visitors and the new Caralyst carbomb was a slight failure - it's destructive power was not more than 3 blocks. The majority of the stands got a lot of positive reactions, though. When the fashion show catwalk was revealed to the public, the crowd went nuts and all attention went to the new styles of fashion displayed there. Of course, everyone wants to know how to look regular, but as fashionable as possible. A big success was the new complete Western European bureaucrat outfit, designed by Armani Jihad. Afterwards we spoke with the organisation’s director, who was very satisfied about how it all went and he told us that ‘the OBTC would be even bigger next year’. Well, we are already looking forward to it!

What do I do? Moonwalking, electric boogying and I pop like a robot from 1984 at random. If I'm not using my dancing skills, I'm either beatboxing, quacking like a duck or singing songs outloud, varying a lot. Lately I mainly sung the following setlist:

Moulin Rouge! OST (Nature Boy, Your Song, Come What May, One Day I'll Fly Away, Elephant Song Medly, El Tango De Roxanne)
Lion King OST (I Just Can't Wait To Be King, Be Prepared, Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata)
The Boxer by Simon & Garfunkel.
Franz Ferdinand songs (Jacqueline, Take Me Out, Dark of the Matinée, Do You Want To, Fade Together)
Hallelujah by either Leonard Cohen or Jeff Buckley, whichever lyrics I feel like singing. Mostly Cohen, though.
Wir Sind Helden songs (Ein Elefant Für Dich, Denkmal, Nur Ein Wort, Von Hier An Blind)... They're kind of German, so often it might seem that I'm singing gibberish... Which I am.
I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.
Arctic Monkeys songs (I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, From The Ritz To The Rubble)
Comfort Eagle by Cake.
... And more, to be honest. God, I sing too much.
Or I sing and dance at the same time. Singing is more fun to do with other's, though.
Wow, it's all coming back!
It's all coming back - including Juujuubean herself. o_o *astonished* I was just typing up a Hall of Fame nominee for you the other day, though it wasn't quite done yet. My favourite OB Moment ever. Hm. I really loved the Newbie Lounge, whatever you people may say of it. At the moment it was so much fun to call Mist Misty the whole time to get verbally beat up by a rod, no idea why, now that I think of it. Though I thought The Complaint to be pretty cool. One post got me a best friend and it almost got me adopted. :]

What grinds my gears is when people whine on and one about musicgenres. Don't make a problem out of something that doesn't matter at all. Fall Out Boy and 30 Seconds To Mars are emo, because the masses say they're emo. NO ONE CARES IF YOU THINK THEY'RE NOT. STOP WHINING ABOUT IT. EMO IS STUPID ANYWAY. Also people with some extravagant taste of music, like all sorts of metal with some silly label on it (again the genre thing) who go on and on about bashing other people about all sorts of music things. YOUR MUSIC TASTE SUCKS JUST AS BADLY - IF NOT WORSE - AS EVERYONE ELSE'S. YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO BASH. JUST SHUSH AND BEHAVE. And last on the list is the almost-empty-milk-carton-in-the-fridge situation.

A Flock of Dodos: The Evolution and Intelligent Design Circus

I went to a slightly Christian school where I was taught about all major religions in my religion class. All taught by an atheist and a buddhist. I wouldn't care less that I wasn't extremely well informed about the evolution theory. What are people in those American parts of the globe always making problems about? You're silly. :) -
The times they have tried to implement "story" into rythym games, it has mucked up the game very badly. Case in point, DDR Mario Mix. Why would I wanna have a dance fight with Bowser when I can throw him into lava by his tail? In my opinion, story isn't necessary for rythym games because the gameplay doesn't need it. These games are pick up and play sort of games. The reason I'm so attached to these games is because of the music that's involved in them. Some of my favorite DJs are people who have contributed to DDR, Beatmania and other rythym games.
... It might not be necessary, but that doesn't make an argument for me to play rhytm games. In fact, it only strengthens why I shouldn't play the games. I just like games with a storyline. ~_~
Witte
Cool, a Dutch word/name. Well, as you should all well know, as I tend to repeat it very often, I live in the Netherlands. In some town called Nieuwegein, right next to Utrecht, the most central city of the country, which is also little more than a half hour train/car trip to Amsterdam. Not like I go there often, but the other names won't say you much, I guess. Euh, Nieuwegein. A big concrete beehive where the human soul is as leveled as the landscape. In summers I like to go to the river which is in the southside of town, but furthermore it's a pretty dead place. Well, it's right next to a rather big city, so everyone just goes there anyway. The clubs and all the happenings are there. Besides the river, we only have a park and a mall. Whoopee. There's one organization here that tries to start some fun stuff like bandcontests and festivals, but they pretty much fail, as they're organized horribly. Oh, we have two McDonald'ses around our town. Yay. :)

I'm going for the 9. My life is brilliant, I'm surrounded by the best people you can imagine and I'm awesome. 4 points each. Apart from that, I'm healthy for now and my hair is cut well this time. Another point. The remaining point is absent because I still somehow am stuck here at OtakuBoards. Plus, I don't have internet on my own computer, so I can't play games or anything, so I end up checking OtakuBoards even more than I'd ussually do. :(

The combination of Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain is the most powerful and awesome cartoon combination ever. These two shows are the best that the world has ever allowed to be seen on television. Both shows contain different types of characters, so there's various types of humour in the shows. And like you mentioned, while watching Animaniacs, you learn a lot. I can now at least name aaaall countries in the world, all of the united dtates of America and all of the presidents of America. (Well, if I could memorize those songs.) Who needs anime? We have Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain.
Kick, the punch, it's all in the mind, if you wanna test me I'm sure you'll find that all the things I teach ya are sure to beatcha nevertheless you'll get a lesson from teacher It was the most overplayed demo disc I ever had...
Even I know those rhymes and I don't even own a PS1, let stand Parappa the Rapper. I only played the demo of the game at a friend's a few time, like everyone here seems to have done. :P Hm, I don't have any rhytm games really. I don't buy such games anyway, for the same reason as I don't buy puzzle games (lack of storyline/surprises), so the only games I played were from (other people's) demo discs.

There's a wallet in my left pocket. If my wallet isn't in my left pocket, that means I have my music on, which means that there's a 60 gig iPod in my left pocket and that my wallet is in my bag. My phone is always in my right pocket, sometimes along with my keys, but those are normally in the right pocket of my jacket/coat or the front pocket of my bag. Okay, in my bag. There's a photocamera in the frontpocket. A nikon coolpix 5600, I believe. Along with the camera there often is my iPod usb cable (and sometimes my wallet and/or my keys). In the main part of the bag I have a notepad. Well, a really big one. I mainly use it to draw in, but there are some words in it too. To draw/write in my notepad thingy I have all my pencils, charcoal, three rollers, probably a pair of scissors and a few pens with me in an etui. Mostly I also have a bottle of water with me, often minus the 'of water' part, because I forget to refill it a lot. And when I can, I take a book with me just in case. On my body I standardly have a watch around my left wrist; a dogtag saying 'I am Boris' in Dutch and a green Taizé cross necklace around my neck; and for now I also have a PinkPop 2007 festival camping B ribbon around my right wrist. It's pink with black and says "PINKPOP 2007 [' Brand' beer logo] festival camping B". You can't just untie it, and I don't feel like cutting it off yet. And I often have a mirror-glassed pair of aviator glasses with me. That's probably about all the standard ussual stuff. :)

I'd really like to meet Premonition, so I can send them walking about an airport with a suspicious briefcase, after which they'll disappear for twenty years, spending all that time in a little room in Eastern Europe that they have to share with a guy named Günter Vladimir Bratjovic (in an [E] rated nutshell). Hi-jacking someone's series of award winning (thread of the year, 2002, yes. Yes.) threads is not a cool thing to do. The first one was made in 2002, and the following threads were made in 2005 and 2006. I was just about to make one this year, but you just ruined my single annual OtakuBoards climax. THANKS A LOT. Anyway, to not be too much of a party-pooper… I’d like to meet: No one who didn’t/won’t mention me (you broke my heart, Kevin.), as I wouldn’t want to meet anyone who doesn’t want to meet me back. I’m that social. White, because I know he included me in the ‘important members’ comment. Vicky, to make fun of cyber Goths. Orange, because she once mentioned that I’m her best friend. StarrStruck, to teach her how to make kruidnoten/pepernoten. Katana, because I have the idea that she once married me, though I can’t remember exactly. Alan, for the sake of the orphans. To the other people who know they should be on the list (no, I don’t mean you, James, just because everyone does). No, I did not add you, I might do so later, but right now I didn’t. Funny fact: The first thread mainly became thread of the year because I started it and James first replied to it. The ultimate succes formula. Apart from it being the ultimate thread to finally suck up to people with good reason.
The best RPG, I think, would be an RPG about Bloc Party, with Bloc Party music on every page. It could be called Silent Alarm, for example.
You don't say? Seriously now, as soon as I saw the title of your RP I thought 'Lost Prophets', so I was frightened already. But the given storyline wasn't really drawing my attention either. Perhaps if you would've brought your story differently, more people would've joined, just an idea. Besides, was it meant to be dark and violent or was it meant to be a comedy? Or all three? Of course a good given storyline is very important for the Ultimate RPG. :P

Darren, you upload it as a rather low quality jpg, which messes up the quality a lot. Notice how there's blur and ugly grain and such over the picture. It isn't a big surprise that you can't seperate the colours now. I reccomend that everyone tries to use the exact same colour and then saves it as an as high quality as possible .png. It always works for me (I use PSP7 or PSP9 mostly). Not really an original advice, but that's the only advice there is to give, I think.

Well, for mother's day, I bought Mika's album: Life In Cartoon Motion. It's an enjoyable album, I must admit, so I ripped it for myself. Na-nah. She was very happy with it, so once again, I'm the best son in the world. Shortly before that I bought the special edition version of Linkin Park's new album: Minutes to Midnight. Despite a lot of bad feedback I really enjoy the album. It's not the same as their old stuff, and I don't necessarily say that it's better, I just love how they developed themselves through time and will keep developing, hopefully. The special edition case looks really neat too. Euh, and I legally downloaded the new album of the Arctic Monkeys. Think it's Your Favourite Worst Nightmare. I downloaded it off a Russian site, mind you, so it was still only a dollar or so, but at least I was being legal. Sort of. The album is nice, though listening to it for the first time was sort of a let down, as I heard to many great things about it. It isn't so great, it's just... nice. Every once in a while. But if you wouldn't count the pay-download, my last purchase was probably Franz Ferdinand's second album You Could Have It So Much Better (with Franz Ferdinand), which was a long while ago, mind you. I never really buy CDs unless I really love the artist. Edit: Okay, I forgot to mention the new album of Wir Sind Helden, called Soundso. I adore the CD. It's almost as cool as their last album Von Hier An Blind, which says a lot. German indie, hurrah.

In Deathknight's article, are the names "Mercenaries" and "Apocalypse" supposed to link to the same? Hm... I think I'm going to write some very important articles in the nearby future.
