There are plenty of things that grind my gears but I think one of the things at the top of the list would be people who are outright mean and spiteful to others and say they are "just being honest" or it's just "constructive criticism". They troll around baiting people to see who they can get a rise out of. When confronted they act innocent and say the offended person is taking things the wrong way since they are just "trying to help". Yet anyone and everyone can see there is plenty of venom behind their words. :animeangr
Oh yes, I hate those too.

I don't like people that misinterpret things, jump to conclusions and go on and on about it without asking for a proper explanation first.
I don't like poker and the hype around it.
I don't like the little girl that's supposed to have had two hundred heart failures, AIDS, brain damage and a lot more diseases by now, just because I didn't send an email to 20 people. DIE ALRIGHT.
I don't like it when people stand way too near you when talking to you. Especially since it's mainly the people with bad breath that do so.
I don't like when people think Land Of Confusion was originally done by Disturbed.
I don't like people who think they're cool and everything, while in fact they're a social failure.
I don't like it when humans record sharks eating seels and turtles, while when a shark would attack a surfer, they'd harm the shark.
I don't like people that see every girl between the age of thirteen and forty as a potential person to have sex with and actually say so to me. Especially if they're social retards themselves, would never be able to get the girl and use all kinds of different/made-up words while trying to say "I want to have sex with that girl".
There are plenty of other things, but I felt like writing these down.
You're so hilarious!
He is, for crying out loud. Normally I never listen to radio, but there are multiple radios at my rather new work that are always on, so now I know about all of the songs that are "in" around here lately. It helped me remember why I never listen to radio, so most of the time I have my iPod on. Though, it also helped me give my own contribution to this thread. Isn't that awesome? One song that I really can't stand is I Don't Need A Man by the Pussycat Dolls. Really, I can't hear it anymore or I'll die. Even with their newer single out, they're still playing that song a lot. STOP IT. Another song would be Irreplaceable by Beyonce. The "to the left, to the left" line is haunting me ever since I first heard it. Shakira's Pure Intuition has never been good for the ears to start with. It's just a regular dance tune with a sheepy Shakira voice over it. And well, both of the above singers combined would make Beautiful Liar, which is just hell on the ether. The Gym Class Heroes' Cupid's Chokehold was fun at first because of the Supertramp chorus, but after a while it started to annoy me greatly. Especially because they even changed the chorus and I keep mumbling the original lyrics while the rapper already starts again. And before I forget it: So Sick by Ne-Yo. I still don't see how anybody ever cared that he's sick of love songs. PS: I had to look up all of these titles. Bah.

How? Did you even see the Papercut video? They've come a long way from that video to the new one that's for certain. They look all grown up in comparison to the Papercut video. Besides, you really can't say "if they keep this up, they'll be like any other band", because it's the first single of an album that might have a great variation of songs, for all I know. Edit: By the way, if you look at the tracklist of "Minutes to Midnight" it seems as though they didn't stray too far from their other two albums with all of the songs.

Wake
Given Up
Leave Out All The Rest
Bleed it Out
Shadow of The Day
What I've Done
Hands Held High
No More Sorrow
Valentine's Day
In Between
In Pieces
The Little Things Give You Away

Also, Boo, I think the style of approach you suggested will make the girls cling onto the boy even more. In my experience, girls are suckers for indifferent guys. ;D
Oh, that explains a lot of awkward situations.
The song only reinforces their image as an angst-ridden, misunderstood, us vs the world kind of band. Lyrics in LP songs are usually decent, but I can't say the same for this single.
I thought the exact opposite. Normally Chester's lyrics are pretty bad, but in this song they are rather good. For one, they are not incredibly depressing or anything. Plus, like said before, he's not really screaming throughout the song. They didn't play electronic tricks or whatever on his voice either. The whole song is a lot more "clean" than most of what I've heard of Linkin Park so far. The only thing about the song that really bothers me is that in the video (which I think is a pretty cool video, but that aside...) Mike is playing a guitar, which I've never seen him do before and I fail to recognize it in the song.

They brought this first song out first, mostly symbolically, as they have made some major changes to their sound and their style. So I heard. Edit: I just watched the "Papercut" video and I must say that I'm a lot more pleased with the way they present themselves now.

I have the idea that they meant the anime show "Bleach".

After hearing the new single a few times after each other, it kind of grew to me. It's not really what I had expected, but it's only one song so far. I look forward to hearing the new album and seeing them live at PinkPop 2007, in May. The Nu Metal sound was getting a bit old, anyway. The past albums were sort of... teeny. Hopefully they can show us with this album that they've grown in time. Edit: Chester doesn't look any worse than he did before. He didn't have a rock vibe over him at first - he had a teeny nerd vibe.

I thought Google's in-home wireless network was rather cool. It can be found here.

Who are you and what have you done to Larb? Speak up, you spawn of hell! Edit: ... worst... April fool's joke... ever...
The text in the content attribute is what people see when OB comes up in a Google search, by the way.
I no's, I is very educated ex-Digital Communication student. Well, whatever. I still think it's more logical for a forum to have the Community part above the rest of the content, anyway. :P But don't think I don't appreciate the effort you put into explaining the decision made. *pat pat* Edit: Whoopee, the Arena Underground is now a Subforum! =D

Well, as much as OtakuBoards' originally anime related, there's only one forum left of it. So I thought that you might as well put the rather small Community category before it.
-
I figured I'd make a thread about the new forum structure for everyone to go "Ooo", "Ahhh" and "Ewww" in. To start off, I'm very happy that you replaced the old category resizing button with this new one. Go you! What I would like to suggest though, is moving the Community category to above the Entertainment category. Before, it was just the anime category, so I could just downsize it. Now it also contains Hardwired and Music, Movies & TV, which I occasionally browse through just for the heck of it. Both categories are not big, but for some reason I like the idea of putting the whole OtakuBoards community before the rest. Digging the buttons, though. :whoops:

For some reason I have the idea that if you were ever going to draw me at all, I'd turn out to be something that could've been shot right out of the big howitzer of hell. Or perhaps just really pretty. :) Ruv these five, sir. Though I never imagined the mod rod to look like a small spear, but more like a stick with a red ball on it. :modrod: I don't suppose you're planning to draw the frying pan of justice as well?

I ruv the big text on that design. The low spacing of the text makes it eye catchy and will have lot's of people stare at it. The little text might be a little bit too... I don't know how to put it. I like little - hardly readable - text when it's a whole lot, but this seems a little bit too little. Perhaps if that type of small text would be more on the shirt, like on the upper side of the Algorith or just more present under the word... Hm. My mind is playing around with me. I'd have to toy around with PS or PSP a bit too find out what exactly I'm looking for, but at the same time my PC is playing around with me too, so I can't right now. Ruv the shirt though. And the coloured background looks a lot fancier and more stylish than the white one in the first tee, I think.
The were no brushes used in this piece at all. All of it was done with either the pen tool or ellipse tool.
Like you pretty much said in the opening post. Now that I think of it... Why must people who whine about brushes also always be the ones whose posts are completely useless in a matter? You, PhoenixClawth, could've at least given criticism on the colours, composition, contrast, et cetera.
I'm going to have to disagree with that, on the grounds that when I'm watching a Spidey fight scene I don't think "That was a good dodge, but I think Spidey seems a bid nerdy." For more evidence of Maguire not being just the nerd in our favourite wall crawler, check out his audition tape for Spider-man. Most of the Sony execs were actually reluctant to give him the suit until they saw the tape of topless Toby tossing thugs in the alley.
Still he's only a nerd. It has nothing to do with how awesome you can throw bad guys in a trash can. It has everything to do with charisma. And from where I'm looking, he's terribly lacking in what Andrew called "his comedic charm", which I think is one of the better aspects of Spiderman.
-
Fine. >:| PS: It's not wrong to be a virgin.
-
I personally don't agree with the choice of Maguire for Parker/Spidey. Sure he can fit the suit, but he doesn't have the comedic charm that Spidey should have.
You're right. He only has the nerdy aspect.
Religious stigma. Cultural taboos. That someone was a psycho hose-beast. Clearly a variety of reasons how someone could feel guilty.
Eh, no. Unless he would've ellaborate on his post with information about what kind of a situation he's in which would affect whether he'd feel guilty or not, I stand by "don't be silly". If he'd feel guilty afterwards, that'd mean he had done something he shouldn't have. It's like stealing fossiles from national parks, while knowing you shouldn't. You're silly then. Or when you turn a word from someone's post from "you" - in the context of "you as a person" - to "someone". You're silly then too.
... I plan on 'not having sex'. I don't want to. I see no reason to, I have no desire to, and I think it only really has downsides in the long run. There are bad things, but no benefits.
Eh. If you want to have a reason: overall it's thought of as "good". And if that's not fine for you, try: you need to have sex to have babies. How can you possibly feel guilty about having had sex with someone - unless you're already in a relation with someone else? Don't be silly. Being a virgin is cool. Who cares if you are a virgin or not, really? On one hand it means you're inexperienced, on the other it means you actually value such intimacy, or whatever. Don't be bothered about it and don't act all weirded out when people apparantly think about the matter differently.

James owes me props in his signature for making him the avater he's using, but I don't think I can get any money for that. Unless I sue him. Is that possible? Shinmaru owes me way too much to mention. For example; I contracted him a 12 million dollar sponsorship deal for two years of moderating, and soon after he deserted. I'm very sure I can sue him for that. Hm.
