1.
... Now, personally, I don't care. I could care less about celebrity's lives, personally. I mean, they ARE regular people, like you and me ...
Wouldn't that be a good reason to actually care?
 2. You might want to give the chest a little more width (like the avoid the manboobish). To compensate the size loss of the arms, you could just adjust the shoulders a bit. Furthermore it looks cool so far. Keep us updated.
 3. For those who didn't know this yet - which is very likely, because I rock at what I do - I'm a hunter and a master of disguises. In this photo I'm awaiting for my prey to come closer and have a taste of the delightful birthday cake (it's me, in case you did not see it yet, which is also very likely).

Do you have a job? If so, where and what do you do? If not, where would you want to work? Well, I just quit college, so I'll need to find a job to have something to do the rest of the half year. Working at a cinema wouldn't be the worst thing I could think of right now, and actually sounds quite entertaining, so I might end up trying to work there. Though, working with a camera, writing, on stage, backstage or with music would be what I'd rathest do in the future. Next to my current profession of hunter and master of disguises of course.
If you were an assistant of Donald Trump, what would your job be? (If you don't know who Donald Trump is, look him up. I guarantee he's at least on Wikipedia). I'd either be his court jester or his personal assassin. Most likely right now would probably be that I'll be selling coins at one of his casinos, but it's definitely one of those two once I get older and decide to work for him.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Not very much, because he'd be thrown in jail for illegally chucking wood. Donald Trump wouldn't like him chucking wood without his permission, so I might end up having to assassinate it if the authorities won't handle it.
PS: The hat says "Hartelijk Gefeliciteerd" which means something like "Honest Congratulations"/"Happy Birthday". PPS: Hell yes it's snowing outside. Finally. *overjoyed* PPPS: That's a survival knife in my hand. The ultimate weapon for all who want to be a hunter. It even has a fish line and hook in the handle if you screw the compass off. Ooh.
 4.
Anyway, that's not the whole point of this thread.
I could not resist a little smile when I read the above post. :) Anyway, I myself hardly ever visit theOtaku. It has a lot to do with the fact that I don't even like anime that much (no, I have no idea how I winded up here). There are more people on OtakuBoards who I know don't like anime, so I would imagine them not visiting theOtaku much either. Nor do I really visit myOtaku, for that matter. Only once in a year to act like I update it. Well, it's not very obvious that OtakuBoards is the forum of some anime site. When I first came here, I only knew of these boards. It even took some time to find out there was a pretty big site attached to it. OtakuBoards is pretty complete on it's own, as far as I see it. I could imagine seeing the OtakuBoards seperate from theOtaku very well. The only connection between the twothat I deal with - from the OtakuBoards perspective that is - is the footer of the forums and the fact that they both have Otaku in their url. But I bet that experiences are different for people who are actually interested in reading about anime and the likes.
 5. I agree with the pandas on this one. Besides, perhaps the baker is as nice to give him a bread (in return of an errant?) if you explain your situation and ask him kindly. :) Because there are like, nice people in the world every now and then.
 6. Looks fancy so far, though there's not much I can say about it yet. The shading looks nice. I can't say anything about the body yet, as the outlines don't tell the whole story. Will you be using it for something in specific?
 7. Okay this is dead cool. 'Ha, a word joke,' you might think. But, seriously; it is. There are some priceless lines and scenes in this story and I could totally see this being done on stage (or on film) with the use of changing backgrounds and things. For some reason I read the whole story out loud with the use of weird voices. It just happened as soon as Gavin's song began.
 8.
From leviticus' "Man should nto lie with anothe rman" to the Sodom account in Genesis (the men wanted to have sex with the visitors, who were men.)
They were going to rape the two men. How can you possibly compare that to homosexuality in the way we're discussing it right now? Read the Bible before you quote it.
 9.
The debate at hand is not on whether or not the Christian Church should allow gays to get a religious union, but rather a state sponsored marriage, therefore talk of God and damnation is beside the point.
The title still says Christianity and Gay Marriage, so I'd think the Christianity subject is quite near to the point. Anyway back to the topic at hand. Paul was a jerk, and if we would do everything that guy wants us to say, we'd be a pretty sad bunch. And the quote you provided is not about love between one each other. In fact, it's about men who out of pure lust had sexual relationships with each other. It says it right there. You can't possibly use this quote as an argument to reject commitment between two people who love each other. Do you think God would like you having sexual relationships out of pure lust, even if it were with a woman? No, of course not.
 10.
Must be 500x600 pixels at most.
Thought I'd quote it for everyone. Hmm, I'm going to have to make a picture very soon.
 11.
I don't exactly see how 'letting other people make moral decisions for you' isn't 'blindly following'. As an example, I give the Milgram experiment. The scientist is the authority figure, and people will do terrible things because of their respect for his station. It is not only important to make decisions for oneself without an authority figure to fall back on, it is imperitave[/i'] for people to keep themselves from doing atrocious things.
Dude, people can actually think. Why on Earth can't you understand that people can actually carefully consider and overthink moral questions, before they actually agree to them? They are not blindly following people, they have made the decision to follow that opinion. I cannot say that I always agree to those decisions, but I also can't deny that they are human beings with a brain to think things over for themselves. Edit: Sandy is not an American.
 12. :stupid: I'm sorry, but you're still alive. You'll have to somewhat have to remain alive on the world without the virtual/digital world. The idea of a whole internet communication thing dominating actual face-to-face communication is thinkable, but it would just mess up the world. If there's one place where people can act like something they're not, it's the internet.
 13. » Napoleon Bonaparte » Spanish (Spain). Some part about the French or Spanish fleet in the Coalitions against Napoleon chapter. » Mexico. A part where they tell about how far Spain's might reached. » Torreón. It was just in the list of major cities in Mexico. Ha, I just needed to find out what Torreón was, and it was quite easy. Hm, next up: The Netherlands » Coca Cola.
 14.
Personally, I'm somewhat cyber-crippled. I never did make friends well as a child, Neopets boards became my crutch. Thankfully I'm not quite as socially awkward anymore, but I really do wish my mother would have regulated my internet conversations a bit more as a child.[/size']
Maybe you were just socially awkward anyway. I can't say that internet improves you socially, but you can't completely blame your social awkwardness on the internet. It was probably just a way to be able to act social without the awkward situations that you'd normally have.
 15. I think we can be quite clear about the fact that this is not the ideal Otaku Lounge thread.
 16. We might as well give up the first place now that Desbreko posted this photo.
 17. Currently I'm in the process of starting at least two bands. Both don't have a name yet. The first band is a band with a classmate and a friend of his. I'm going to play guitar and/or bass in it. Not that I can actually play the bass very well, but I pretend like I can. Perhaps I'll also do some singing for it. Our genre of music would be somewhere around hard rock. My classmate plays the drums and wouldn't mind singing and his friend plays the guitar. And both of them play keyboard. For now we've still only had one meeting in which we decided that we sort of first needed to practice together with existing songs before making own songs. The other band is more like a musical duo with one of my best friends. The idea is to record songs with mainly our vocals to make the music. For now we're in the process of making one song and almost finished a cover of a song. I'm doing the guitar and the bass with my voice, and he's doing the drums and the singing. Edit: The working title the musical duo is currently under is Tomato Frog. This might change later, though so far we enjoy it. But mainly I just play guitar. Electric and acoustic classical.
 18.
I'm not just using quotes and lines to sound cool. I honestly trust that opinion i stated and stand by it until you can somehow provide me significant evidence otherwise. Isn't that what a debate is all about? Not just calling me an idiot but actully backing it up?
Did you even try reading more than the last line of my post?
 19.
why not? And why are such brief, offtopic posts allowed so often? Mine included. ...and seriously, why IS this an issue?
You're making it an issue, yourself. I just replied to your post. Your line "everything is everyone's fault" is pointless. How is everything everyone's fault? It isn't, that's how. That you can't hold your tongue is not my fault. It's a pitiful failure in your own system. That gay marriage is not allowed by the church and by many countries/states is neither my fault. It's someone's opinion on that matter, carried on by many people, but certainly not all. And not everyone actually has the power to do something about it. Don't try to use cool comments, because it's not making you look much smarter after you directly attacked a religion. PS: Drix, thank you. :P
 20. Who is it?: [Member] Prick Wizard Why are they Nifty?: Because they're either the most awkward member or the biggest joker to ever wander around on OtakuBoards (the first one would just be scaring, so I strongly suspect the latter). All of their posts have references to elves. If it were not elves, it were wizards or whatever. They were the ones to suggest the .elf or .wand thing and to suggest an OtakuBoards meeting at an Elf fantasy kind of festival. All in all, I can only predict this guy is a nice fellow, but I'm really sure that he's worth being called Nifty. PS: The .doc attachment are most of his posts. I could not resist saving them all.
 21.
EVERYTHING is EVERYONE'S fault.
Really, no.
 22. ... Wow. I'm Christian and would say that I don't give wether you're gay or not, or if you want to get married. Basically because I really have never personally read the rule "man and man may not marry, even if they love each other" (or "woman and woman", whatever). God is love, Jesus spreads the word of love and if you and your lover want to get married, go ahead. There's not a single part in my belief that's against gay marriage. If you actually oppose gay marriage because your religion tells you you should, I recommend you actually start thinking for yourself and what you think is right. I think that, even if you follow the guidelines of the bible, you'll see that Christianity is more about love than about anything else. Can someone give me some good reasons why two lovers should not be together, even if they're both from the same gender? And I must agree that religion and law should be seperated. Even if there'd be any religious reason why two men should not marry, I could not see a valid social one.
 23.
He has a point, but he didn't have to say it that way. He could have said it in a nicer way. Just a thought what if your not chirstian :animesmil Like me.
I know he has a point - obviously - but he discussed the whole point in his first post and even included an endconclusion.
 24. Now where does the rest of the community come in? Are we just here to bash whatever you just said?
 25.
I don't know if this is very helpful, because I'm not very familiar with japanese names, but I use the Behind the Name Random Name Generator. You can choose the nationality of the names you'd like and they will pick some. Also, you can then click the name to see if you like the meaning, which means you can co-ordinate it with the personalities of the characters.[/size']
This is awesome. I just spent too much time on randomly generating names in all kinds of languages.
