The Doom series have the best soundtracks ever. I can't say for sure if the N64 edition has the same soundtrack as the PC edition. Though I must say the Chrono Trigger soundtrack was pretty neat too, not a single game soundtrack surpasses Doom.

What comes to mind when you think of Australia?
Boo replied to drakkeness's topic in General Discussion
The first things that come to my mind are kangaroos, some stupid race horse, koalas and James. Mostly the first and the last are connected somehow. Oh, and don't forget those huge trucks. -
That is just a matter of interpretation.
Finnish Cuisine, on the other hand, has no relation to the Second World War.
That's what you think.

Do some people in this thread even notice that the thread is not about normal members posting, but about automated ad-messages?

indifference, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean a lack of people in the 'Who's Online?' section, but more a lack of amount of posts (posts equal activity on a message boards, pretty much). Which is understandable because this time of year, people actually act like they have lives outside OtakuBoards (you can act all you want, but you can't fool me).

Clichés are good and cool. That's why they are used over and over again, making them clichés. Final Fantasy VII was great. Everything fit well together; they used the better clichés and put them all together, plus adding their own storyline and things. Stop the discussion. Ugh. >>;

And thus, we went to our Search Engine tool and googled the words "Blood Elf", revealing a rather large amount of images.

Right, I'm certain our piece can't be done by today as much as I'd like it to. Sorry about that. The in-team communication is kind of limited lately.

Gaw, yes. I wanted to go to Franz Ferdinand so badly, this summer. So I looked at their site and it said something about the dates being known and ticket sale starting soon. The next time I checked it was sold out already. ;

I turned it into 50% it's original size. Here it is: [Kurai Yuki's Animated.gif] I hope it's what you wanted.

Your Favourite Kind Of Alcohol [M for drug use, oooooh]
Boo replied to DeadSeraphim's topic in General Discussion
Lately I've drank a lot of beer. More specifically: Pauwel Kwak. It is great, though I probably drank it too much the past summer. Malibu with a bit pineapple is nice too, once in a while.
As for me I stick to my bloodline, ABSINTH!
Absinthe is pretty gross. It's just reserved for people who want to show off, by drinking what seems like the urine of the devil himself. -
First of all: I have listened to this type of music. And I'm not judging the song, I'm judging the way it's mixed. Second: You brought up that the soft part is part of the genre, not me. Now you mention that the mixing is just bad because the band is just starting. Make up your mind. Now, I'm going to drop this argument, and if you want to continue it please PM me instead. Conclusion of the argument: The vocal recordings are too soft because you guys are just starting. Whoopee. Furthermore, the song is quite nice.
Of course David Gilmour uses his vocals as an instrument on Pink Floyd's track Wish You Were Here.
Everyone uses their vocals as an instrument dammit, but he does it in a controlled way. He doesn't let the guitar overpower his voice. He sings in harmony with it. Let the instrument part rest, every good artist uses his or her voice as part of the song. But the vocals of this song are just mixed too soft to sound right. They don't sound like part of the song, but like a seperate element that's been stuffed somewhere deep within the song. If that's the point of this genre of music, the genre stinks. Singing in harmony with the music (as if you use your voice as an instrument) is not the same as just recording your vocals and make it so soft that it gets overpowered. Don't be so ignorant. *leaves the thread*
-
The way the vocals are mixed in the song, they are just overpowered by every other instrument. They just fall away in the rest of the song. What made you think I meant 'too low'?

Just a small note: If you're dead, you're dead. It's like ... "You, sir, shall now be killed." Chop/Zap/Sting!/Guillotine-noise. And it's over. There is almost no pain involved. Just the iny tiny bit of fear (and perhaps pain) right before it happens. How does that scare anyone from committing a crime? It does not. Crime does not decrease with death penalty. I myself would much rather not live, than live for the rest of my life focusing on only the thought to not drop anything slippery. Just a personal opinion, of course.
But it does act as another instrument in that it plays an equal role in the arrangement of the piece as the literal instruments. -Justin
No, it really doesn't sound like something that plays an equal role as the instruments. It just sounds like a too soft vocal recording. Really, almost every sang vocal recording is as equal as an instrument if you want to put it that way. But if you record them too soft, they just aren't good.

Death penalty is something truck drivers would allow. It's just as savage as allowing people to own arms. Oh, and on the topic of how to kill people anyway: Use a guillotine or axe. It's quick and painless, anyway. If the axe is sharp, that is.
-
but the idea behind it is that instead of taking the front seat as vocals do in pop music, here they're inteded to act as another instrument.
I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like an instrument at all. It just sounds like someone failed at producing the song correctly. Not my type of music - and I still can't see how it could be anyone's - but I guess that what I've heared so far is nice for it's genre. I've heared a lot worse bands, at least. I can actually listen to your music, which is a plus.

I love the commercial of those potions. Edit: Yeah you're right. They even look like the potion tastes bad. I guess it's the cost of being healed. Well, a geeky purchase. I bought Final Fantasy XI just so I'd own the game. It was like ?19,99 with two expansion packs included. I have never installed the game, let stand played it. Apart from that I don't buy geeky stuff... I think.

Yes, I do, but that doesn't change a thing. It's still using both of them, but then in one window, which is just annoying.

I'm now studying Digital Communication. All the school computers in our building have FireFox as the standard browser, so I'm stuck with it. On my own computer I still automatically use Internet Explorer, but that might change due time. I need to use them both anyway. Whenever I need to browse or test a webpage, I'll need to check the page on both of them.
Anywho my vote goes to as well as being more fitting for Garra's character.[/color']
... I was afraid people would mention this.

Request Calling Graphic Artists- Hope for Africa Challenge!
Boo replied to Drix D'Zanth's topic in Creative Works
Right. Seems like something cool. I made one simple design with an outlined Africa content, the slogan and the verse. Black and white, with grey outlines. The size of the file is big, because I figured it had to be on a T-Shirt. It can be found Here. Hope it's of any use, whatsoever. :P -
Why do people like anime so much? About all of the anime shows have the same characters but with a different odd colour of hair. There's obviously something up with them.
