3. Eggnog still makes your screen go fuzzy, but rice wine and dwarven ale now make it go grey. That's probably because Eggnog is not updated as it is a christmas event item.
Here's the result of 10 Dwarven Ale and 2 Rice Wines. 4. We had a newbie lounge before, but some nutcases turned it into one big war including weapons of mass destruction, sheep and muffins. *feels eyes glaring at him* But yeah, it was taken away. OtakuBoards strives for top quality, which the Newbie Lounge - or any other introduction thing, for that matter - had not. Welcome anyway. :P

    Word Count?

I was under the impression he wanted to make it a rule.

How do you feel about putting an upward limit on the size of RP posts, to encourage activity?
I thought so too and still think he did at first.

    Word Count?

There is no rule to tell people to make huge posts, anyway. If RPs die than I may sure as hell hope that it's not because people were to lazy to read the posts before them. That'd be just sad. I think it's just because they didn't feel like writing a post at all. If I were restricted to making a post with less than 500 words, I wouldn't post sooner than when I had no limit at all. Just my opinion, though. ~ the above was 387 characters including spaces, roflz0rps.

    Word Count?
Who wants to take their time to read 15 paragraphs of 100 words. It's just to much.
... No it's not. Have you ever tried reading a book?

    Word Count?
To limit the amount you can write kind of would get annoying to me. Some things can't always be said in small terms, but also that what's the point? If people don't do RPGs because of length these days, then RPGs have gone to--for lack of a better word--crap. I feel if people can't deal with the length of an RPG, then don't participate. But because some people are too lazy to grace a larger plotline, don't limit other members who express themselves in larger proportion.
Whee, quote. I never write RP posts, so when I do I make them really long, partly to catch up on everyone. That aside, because of the time zone difference I'd have to read a whole bunch of small posts - instead of the few long ones that I have to read now - when I get back on OtakuBoards, if the idea would work. The idea could be something RP starters could use for their stories, but having a set rule for it would scare me away rather than attract me to make more posts.
  9. I'm always that one guy that makes the funny noises in class. Aswell as the one who can draw rather well, gets nice grades for English and is funny on stage. You could call all for of those skills. My fifth would be talking nonsense, but that isn't really a skill. On OtakuBoards I think I've made my more serious re-entry when I started making graphics (before that, no one knew if I had skills or not). At one point at least, I think I was doing quite nice. Lately my skills at graphics have gone stuck and I don't really spend attention on them anymore. Whee.
  10. Perhaps there could be an option to delete all of your post up until a date, for the party-poopers between us. Though, I wouldn't like it. *loves to look at people's old posts every now and then*
  11.
Humans are not perfect.
Wow, being a human must stink. :bdance:
  12. I have a good one, that I call "Le Boo Royale" All it takes is two slices of bread and cheese. You put the cheese between the slices of bread and you're done! Sidenote: Others call this cheese sandwich or something. Variation tip: Try grilling it so you get "Le Boo Royale Grille", or the grilled cheese sandwich. Variation tip 2: Place a few slices of apple between the slices of bread with the cheese, and then grill it. Serve with ketchup (preferably, when it's warm). ---- I love making waffles, as I have a waffle iron (the same device has the sandwich thing on it). At one of the local super markets here, you can buy instant waffle mix. You just need to add milk, shake it a bit and pour it in the iron. Variation tips: Put cinnamon in the mix. Serve tips: Whipped cream, sugar, powder sugar, jam, nutella (or whatever other chocolate stuff), cinnamon.

  14. ... Oh my, you're probably right. I figured Boards was capitalized because the 'b' in 'OtakuBoards' is always capitalized.
  15.
#7
Some are you are me Some of you couldn't care less But wherever the Boards are, so am I

Moderators seems too obvious, but I'll try. There are mods, some people don't really care about becoming one, but they will always be there.
  16. Okay, I have some quite old stuff that I had never posted before. First, there's this banner that I made for a website about hippies, for a school assignment. The background of the site was already filled with flowers and such, and if you know much about hippies like I do now, you know that Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was very important. ;D Hippiepw Banner Edit: I found my first banner ever! Found Here!
  17. OtakuBoards is of course full of hairy, 40-year old truckdrivers. And elves.
  18.
and finding people--via music interests or fashion sense--who feel the way you do is what growing up (and living) is all about.[/color']
Actually, I think it is about self-development, as an individual. Putting yourself in one corner with a bunch of quasi-depressed children does not really help improve that.
  19. Wait a second, let me try to say something semi-wise... Okay, I'm ready, here goes. Music is music, people shouldn't make music to fit a label. Clothing is clothing, people shouldn't wear clothing to fit a label. You are you, you shouldn't change yourself to fit a label. Hurrah. Really, I people who put labels on theirselves are lamers. Especially if the label is based on fashion and/or music. Fact: Emo's do that. Sidenote: Also annoying people are emos that say they're not emo and make silly youtube videos about how stupid emos are. Sidenote2: I love labelling other people though.
  20. Okay then, it's not my turn at all, but I still want to try to get this thing back to live. I'll follow Delta's lead. Turn up the -  The fonts is cocaine blues, but I don't really like it. [strike]*goes to find something better to fit*[/strike] Forget about me changing the fonts, I don't like the piece as a whole anyway. >_>;
  21. I'm 16. Two years ago, some people thought I was sixteen too. In two years they might still think that.
  22.
do your dad's favourite activity for an hour[/B']
Since I have no idea what my mother's is. My dad likes to work a lot on his music collection, as far as I know, and I love music. Whee. Would you rather have an Otaku Lounge full of game threads. or Would you rather see them all deleted, forbidden and never to come back again?
  23. I like ridiculous stuff. I have always been a pretty big fan of Weebl (not necessarily his Weebl & Bob stuff) and Legendary Frog. Moments that I laugh about hardest, though, are the moments when I have to laugh about people (who do ridiculous stuff, but not on purpose). Like when a friend of mine and I were sitting on a bench at our mall and from the left came a man and a woman who recognized the man that came from the right. The man of the couple turned to his woman and said at a really retarded voice "Hey, if I ever meet that Bob again, I'll eh..." By that time they were right infront of the man (which was also right infront of us) and the man of the couple bursted out in laughter over his own retarded joke while greeting the other man. And then they continued talking right infront of us. I really had to laugh out loud and yell stuff about the man, but couldn't really do that with them infront of me. I don't know why, but I always find such things hilarious.
  24.
Eh... you shouldn't say something sucks even if you think it does. It's rude and makes you sound arrogant.
I said unless it does, not unless you think it does. And I'm arrogant already, so I don't need to flame something or someone to sound like it.
  25. I never really had people say my art sucks, straight in my face that is. Sometimes some constructive criticism here and there, but that's only good for improvement. :'D Sometimes people may think I bash other people's art, though. That is only when people ask for criticism, like putting art on a forum. I just tell them everything I like and everything I don't like about the picture. Mostly I leave strong expressions as "it sucks", since that wouldn't make any sense. I just like to tell on which points one could improve, or on which points they already seem to know what they're doing. And sometimes I seem as if I bash something, but that is mostly because other people in the same thread are saying "Wow, that's perfect!" "It's so good!" "Can't see any flaws!". That just ticks me off and I want to show why it's not perfect, so good or flawless. Noone may say anything sucks, unless it does. Same counts for saying something's perfect. :whoops:
