No, I'm not going to ask for a sprite forum again. That'd be silly. What I meant to ask, was wether there is an archive where I could find all the old posts. For example the spriting tutorials that Alexander made. As the spriting community should be brought back to live and attract more people :< EDIT: Syk3 reffered me to a thread about this made earlier by Dragonballzman, Here.

When I was dark_apocalyps I had terrible quality (hence the missing 'e' at the end) and really was a pain. Fact. The reason why I took that name was because it was also my e-mail adress, and the password to my e-mail adress, and the name of the mafia I was in in Habbohotel *slaps himself*. Anyway, my name didn't really say much about my attitude, except if you want to interpretate it as "U R Teh Apocalypse!" (which I can understand). It's not like I've taken a username that fits my clothing style or friends circle or anything. Back then I just thought it was... err... cool I guess >_>; Anyway. When I became Boo I thought of myself that I changed quite a bit. Boo sounds so much more optimistic than my other username. I'm still a pain to some, but atleast a pain with better post quality. I thought Boo was more fitting the image that OtakuBoards wanted to have, since it's more clean and... spelled right. Under the name Boo, I hardly ever posted outside the Art Studio unless there really was something interesting in the Otaku Lounge. It also kind of closes a chapter, since the majority that I talk to, knows me better as Boo than as the other username. Which is a good thing ¬_¬; If I ever come up with a username that I like more, I'll take that instead, but for now it's Boo. Ha.

In the beginning, there was a cancer. That cancer asked about the seven days stuff. Within one day there has been created a four page thread about how correct the Bible is instead. Yoopy. Anyway, we answered the question in the beginning of the thread (although I attacked one member while answering it :whoops: *), which was just "It's a matter of interpretation". After that it had just became rather senseless. Nobody was going to convince anyone, so I hope that the whole issue is solved by Retribution explaining that religious people believe in things that can not really be proved. Oh and Cygnus. Not trying to stir up another debate, but:
There's to much political correctness and to little self-expression these days.
Try expressing your opinions so clearly in let's say... Medieval times? :) Edit: Oh.
Boo, I wasn't referring to 'they' as individuals, I was referring to 'they' as in the Church itself.
I noticed that, but it makes no sense. There is no "the Church" who had suddenly changed. People gradually changed in certain aspects, so did religion. * - Tical, my excuse: it was 4 AM and I really felt like doing that.
-
To Cygnus: You really have no idea what you're talking about. 'They' are all individuals who think for theirselves. There used to be no room for interpretations seeing as the church leaders were too strict. Now the beliefs haven't suddenly changed completely. People now just openly discuss certain parts of the Bible, which they couldn't do before. Now they look at some parts of the Bible differently. It's not like it's lost it's main message with it. I myself try to interpretate the Bible differently where I think it is supposed to. Some more heavily religious people oftenly take the bible a bit more strict and exact. It really differs per person. It's sad how you look at people as 'they' instead of individuals. Oh well, I hope you understand what I'm saying now. If not, I'll point my finger at you and laugh. Just because. After I've gone to bed, that is, as it's 4:30AM.
-
It's a matter of interpretation as a lot in the bible is. Not an excuse.
-
Ignore the above. Like you should do with most of Tical's posts, seeing as they lack terribly in quality and in actual useful information. You can see those "Seven Days" as seven eras. Each day could for example be a few million years. It actually even connects a bit with the actual evolution of the Earth's inhabitants and all. A bit.

"The winds tore apart everything within it's reach, be it grass, be it clouds. While now there is a thunderbolt, once there was a cow." That, sir, rhymes in a special poetic way. Say it out loud. World went Boom

"The poison that sickens the world, the clouds that cover the sun, they who go against all morals, against all rules, against all that men stand for. You shall be remembered as a stain in human history. Begone, Babylon." Okay, that was the first that came to my mind. Here's mine.

?Omg, kAizerl0rd007, Ive found diz realy kewl plyr! Chek his pr0file! He helpd me so much!? ?Wowz, he looks so kewl. Im liek 2tally a fan know. Lez Message him, LOL!? Name: Sylvester Writer. Birthdate: 7th of October, 2004. Gender: Male. Username: Gabriel (No, there was no pun intended over the fact that it?s an Angel?s name). Appearance: Gabriel, by *Wen-M. Faction: Shadow Faction. He joined the faction because he thought it would be so cool to be dark and evil and such. Through time he had learned that The Necropolis isn?t as fun as he first thought it was, but he found the Shadow Faction spells more useful and learned to control them better. Class: Fighter. Weapon: Soul Split by *Wen-M. No particular reason for it?s name. Mostly because it sounds more ?Shadow Faction? than just ?Sword?. Soul Split?s isn?t really the type of sword you?d use for sneaking, seeing as Sylvester prefers to play a bit more on the offensive side in games (to keep them a bit spicy). Known Spells:

Vampirism ? When using Vampirism, the caster has the ability to drain the foes health with every melee attack for a set amount of time. Caster gradually loses health when this spell is used in full daylight.
Graveyard ? When using Graveyard, the nearby area around the caster turns to a wasteland graveyard. Any foe entering the area, other than those of the factions of Shadow and Earth, will be grasped by the hands of the Undead to restrain them from moving. There?s a small chance that the Undead may actually bite you, or even pull you under partly.
Darkflame - He may engulf a weapon or himself in a black flaming inferno. It just simply adds extra damage or make enemies not even want to go near him. (Quoted from Dragon Warrior)
Will add more later >_>;;
Skill Level: He started playing pretty much after the game came out. A bit later though, because he didn?t have enough money yet. Anyway, he had his times when he played a whole lot, while at other times (more occasionally) he hardly ever plays. Especially when he just bought the game, it was very hard to get him from behind his computer. Lately he started playing a bit more again, though by time he doesn?t take the game as serious as when he began.

... Seriously, I've heard so many people say that they always wanted to jump in, but couldn't. Some people really claim too many. o_O;; Maybe there should be some kind of restriction with how many you can do per week/page/etc. Just an idea to give others a chance >_>;

"They did not like me, they did not care for me. They ignored me, they banished me from their minds. I was not cool, I was not popular. But that is all going to change.
I now officially hold a grudge against Portugal. I wanted to bash Figo's face in when he was acting as if Boularous did. Normally I'm not aggressive, especially not when it comes to watching sports, but this was just plain sad. Oh and like 18 yellow cards and 4 red cards! o_____O
People, don't be so sad! It's only a game involving a ball that you have to kick in a net! Just... kick the ball in the net instead of making a trading card game out of it. Color Me Evil:
It was Deco I think, who got his second yellow card for that. XD

On the noteboard, next to the entrance to the Library, is posted a huge Note. One of those Notes that you would only find in the Unseen University, with a strange octarine glow about it - for those who can see octarine. In big swirly letters it says:
"The signing up period for the adventure has been closed. Soon you shall all be allowed to begin."

Okay, Pumpkin has deleted her post instead of finishing it. Anyway, I'll get mine up as soon as possible, if I'm able to get it up at all. If necessary you guys can even start without me while I write mine, seeing as we're way over the previous deadline of Monday the 19th. White has already posted his backstory, which is good. Now we're waiting mainly for me, I guess. EDIT: Ha! ?I?m sorry, what did you say his name was? I think I didn?t hear you correctly.? ?His name?s Twoflower.? ?Isn?t that that one annoying fellow who claims to be a ?tourist? and helped Rincewind run away?? ?Guess so. I heard he became Grand Vizier of the Empire, in his homeland the Agatean Empire.? ?He? Ha! How old is he? Twelve or thirteen or something?? ?? He?s about 40 years old.? ?? Oh.? ?Hey, I?m sure we have some records on him in the library.? If you?ve followed the conversation uptil now, you might have come to the conclusion that they shall now walk to the Library to find the information on Twoflower. Of course, we won?t walk. We?ll just Be There. Like this, you see? Okay, now that we Are in the Library with the information of Twoflower infront of our nose, let us look into it. About Twoflower Source: Interview with Rincewind in the The Truth Twoflower is the optimistic-but-naive tourist. He often runs into danger, being certain that nothing bad will happen to him, as far as he is not involved. He also believes in the goodness of human nature and that all problems can be resolved, if all parties show a good will and cooperate. Rincewind, of course, remains immovably convinced that Twoflower's IQ is comparable to that of a pigeon. Rincewind described him by saying that if lightning was absolute chaos, Twoflower would stand on top of a hill wearing wet copper armour and shout "All gods are bastards!" He is always followed by The Luggage, a highly protective and stubborn box which moves on hundreds of little legs, carrying his belongings. The last time anyone has heard something of Twoflower was when he became Grand Vizier of the Empire. Some say that he disappeared within weeks to never be seen again. Others however, say that he just left his position as Grand Vizier of the Empire, because it involved a lot of sitting, and that he had started a carrier in the painting industry. ?There you have it. Undeniable proof!? ?Okay, but how do you plan on catching him? It is said that he?s practically invulnerable, because he believes he is.? ?? We must think that over.?

Boo replied to Dhampir's topic in General Discussion
I had never heard about it, so I thought I'd google it (no, not for pictures. Ew.), though I was already afraid of the upcoming results. However, the first result was wikipedia.org who assumed the whole fetish started off in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, because of Violet Beauregarde inflating. I sure hope that's not true -
Sandy, I know hardly any moderator or admin that I really want to meet apart from people I knew before they became moderators, so it was really not made for that purpose :P Oh and this is not meant to be a suck-up thread, but more of a recognition thread. Yes, I have a certain thread in the back of my head right now. Anyway. My list contains some people that I'd really like to meet one day Ozymandius Jones (And StarrStruck while I'm there :P) - She really is a great person and she's one of the best writers I know. I'm sure we'd have loads of fun together whilst we write a whole novel together, just because :X Stuart - Great guy and I want him to teach me DDR. Well, he's pro-Dutch, which is a very big plus. If I meet him, I can finally teach him true Dutch and I can steal his WoW stuff so he will have to play Guild Wars instead. Ha. Oh, and then I'll help him remember he still has to send me a card. White - White too has to learn Dutch from me personally, so he can support the Netherlands in the next World Cup with real words and he can type "Nederland" properly. Anyway, he's one of the coolest and funniest people I know, so I'm pretty sure I'd be able to laugh with him offline too :P Josh / JJ - He lives in Germany, which doesn't even make it impossible to meet him one day :angel: Anyway, why would I do that? Because he's cool like that. In our conversations over AIM he hardly ever is negative about anything and seems to have this kind of optimistic aura that always makes me smile while talking to him. And he just is funny, which could also be a bit of a cause to that XD SaiyanprincessX - She is awesome and makes me stuff all the time which makes her even more awesome XD I'm a bit frightened however that when I'd accidentally make her mad, she'll use her martial arts powers on me. Anyway, she's awesome like I said before and she's a great artist too. Katana - Well, she's just cool like that. I wouldn't be her fanman if she wasn't. It's great speaking to her as the conversations always make me laugh, even though sometimes the content of our conversations is lacking terribly in level of intelligence XP If I'd ever speak to her offline, I'm pretty sure I'd eventually be rolling over the floor laughing without a particular reason. We share a lot of opinions I think, and I'd love to discuss some things with her, just for the discussion. vicky - You've always been one of my best friends on OtakuBoards ever since you've joined or something. You're one of the coolest people and live in England. If I would be meeting anyone of OtakuBoards, I would atleast be meeting you. Fact: Vicky is one of the most cool, funny and mature persons I know. ;D I shall certainly not name Dragon Warrior since he's always named too much in these threads. Well, okay, perhaps I'll name him after all. Dragon Warrior - He seems to come up every day with new Slackers in Slacks, which just astounds me and I want to be there during the progress of him making one in his brain. While continiously trying to merge myself in it of course. But yeah, hanging out with Gavynn is cool. Fact. Sadly he knows it. I still would love to meet more people, but now I'm getting lazy.

I don't really like the idea of a spriting club that much. First of all, because I don't think there are many spriters, and secondly because it creates a community thing in a community (Art community) that isn't that big anyway (like the Graphics Club did). I think just creating a thread for spriting would be a lot better, in which people could ask questions and post experiments and whatsoever. Personal opinion, though. Oh and many people might not know this, but before the sprite board came (yes, it's gone again), we had a very succesful sprite thread. It became a bit crouded, but it did invite a lot of people into spriting, such as myself. I think it was something called like "Sprites Report In", but I'm not too sure of that... But yeah, I think making a sprite thread would be better. In the same thread we could put information and stuff. An old member Alexander had a bunch of tutorials, perhaps we can dig those up somehow. Oh, and everyone starts with just recolouring sprites, which should be paid a little attention on aswell, I think. Hmm, my two cents :P I think it's fun to see the sprite community grow again, so this is more meant as a way to help it grow, instead of criticism.

Okay, annual thread, though this time 5 months later than last year. New members, lots of them really, so this thread will surely give different results since last time I posted it. Like the title says, the question of this thread is: What OtakuBoards members would you like to meet? And then of course an explanation per member, why you would like to meet them (a bit more than 'cause he's cool', would be wise for this thread to stay alive), to keep this thread a bit interesting. Well, post away, I'll post my list later since it's 23:53 and the main reason I posted this thread is because I'm in a jolly mood and I always thought of this thread as a happy thread :P

You wanted criticism :) Naruto

Shikamaru ? The top right text is not too bad, but the sub text doesn?t seem to fit. The outer glow you used on it, doesn?t appeal to me, and it really stands out a bit too much. The stock used is a bit blurry and doesn?t really blend in, but it is less a deal than the text. My biggest advice would be to let the text blend in more.
Temari ? The background is quite nice on this one. The text looks less than the last banner, though. The text in the top right corner is too thick and dark to match the whole image. It doesn?t even match the text underneath it which has some sort of weird fonts. The stock used on this piece is indeed blurred a bit too much and it?s cut off at the right, which looks really bad. Please take the time to clean up the sword-thingy or something. If the text were gone and the stock would be less blurry, it?d actually be quite a nice banner.
Neji ? Nice style background, but it?s repetitive. It works well with the glow you gave the stock though. The text on this banner is a lot better than the rest. It?s colour actually fits the rest of the image. The fonts however don?t fit with each other. You should choose either the top left fonts or the other fonts, but not both. I like this banner best of the Naruto banners.
Rock Lee ? The background is so messy, especially with such a big size banner. Again, you used fonts that don?t fit each other at all. The bottom left text would fit the banner a bit, the other wouldn?t. The ?-Dream Team Squad Member-? is the only white text in the whole banner, and just looks odd. The stock on this picture isn?t too blurry though.
I?m going to skip Bleach for now. My main advice for all above banners is to practice more with text, and not just throw some text together. Oh, and try to work on a bit more reasonable size banners, these are very hard to fill with interesting material.

The Vincent Valentine banner is a bit plain. The white glow around the middle picture seems odd and the light red border doesn?t seem to fit the rest at all. I think you should?ve left out the middle picture and made the main picture the right one. A bit bigger than it is right now, that is.
Keep practicing, you have potential.
The US losing to Czech. Republic was a huge surprise. While I wasn't favoring the US to win the World Cup, I still thought they'd get that win over the Czechs.
US Stinks, they should play American football, not cool football >_>;; Right now I'm watching the Netherlands versus Ivory Coast. When
the Netherlands scores, I felt happy for them. Van Persie deserved it, it was a great shot, and van Nistelrooy was playing bad last time so this should make it up a bit.
. However,
Ivory Coast scored too, which sucks ;_;
. And the refferee
is a real pain in the bleep
. Now I'm going
to
watch the rest of the match :3 EDIT:
And it remained 2-1, w00t :P
. The match was full of whistle noise, but
no red cards
. Though the refferee seemed as if he wanted to
give every single player a yellow card
. Oh by the way: The Netherlands own your behinds >: D

I once was making cinnamon butter cook and wanted to grab the cinnamon. Instead a grabbed ... something more spicey. I got the powder off as much as I could and just continued adding cinnamon, but the taste was incredibly manipulated. It was quite nice actually, a bit odd, but nice.

Charlie: Where am I, Purgatory? Wesley: Worse, Texas! ~Nurse Betty. Anyway, I believe in Heaven after death. I've always done so, and don't see a reason why not. Of course you can't prove what happens with you after death. The most likely thing is that you just... stop living. But that's why it's also called "believe", right? Right.
