The treasure at the end of the rainbow, of course. Why? Because it's a pot o' gold for sure.

Whee, I forgot the most important factor. For me, the summit of OB Old School is "The Newbie Lounge". It was the most insane board in OB history and eventually got fried. I wish I could find the old posts somewhere... Newbie Squad fo' life, homies. XD

Are you sure the email isn't being counted as spam? If it hasn't arrived now, you might want to check your bulk mail =\

I'm so happy that post counts are a click away now. In the old days, I was so proud of my postcount that it really started to bug when I lost, first 300 and then 800 or so, posts. *kills updates* No really, they have changed a lot. The quality went up incredibly [strike]because[/strike] a year or so after I joined. Which has been a pretty long time now, so dare not look at my old posts >:|. If dark_apocalyps [mark the missing e] would've been here this day, he'd get banned in no time. I was even pretty close back then XD (edit: I just noticed that myOtaku uses my old username *forgot*) A lot of people have left, but many cool ones joined again. The only thing that I think has decreased is the friendly sphere the past year or two. No idea why, but I just think it has. Oh, and at about 5,000 posts, your title was I Live Here. I think only Raiha made it that far >_> The "get 500 posts and you may use a custom avater" was a nice thing to look forward too :P

Hmm, nice idea. Now, when I want to search for PM's by a specific member, I have to search using Ctrl+F. If this idea is possible (which it should be, I guess :P) I'm all for.

Seriously, people that cut themselves or cry for no reason need help. Being depressed is only annoying and it doesn't help anyone. That aside, I have to mention that looking through this thread, I noticed that almost none of you have the same idea of what an emo is. This thread is close to going nowhere at all, in my humble opinion.
Well, at least you're willing to admit[/I'] it. Kudos!
I doubt reading other posts in the thread will have a strong effect on my current opinion. Seeing as it obviously is in human's nature to have certain individuals that climb up in society, get lots of power and get mad (for having to much power) or just really unreasonable. People stink and making a world government would be just ruining the world more than it currently is. Like mentioned before, there's no way that a world goverment could be made anytime soon. I even strongly doubt that it can ever be made. I sure hope not to be alive when it is.
-
This would turn out terrible. It's a nice idea, but in this world you simply can't do this without getting a dictator-type at the throne in a matter of time. And I just don't like to think of [strike]one ring to rule them all!![/strike] one goverment, since the differences in political opinions differ way too much per country. I didn't read a single post except the first one, just on a side note.

Click Here I'm not fond of it at all. Like it says, I was out of inspiration. I would very much like to see what the next one will do. And I'd like to assign again to make up for this tragic piece. EDIT vol.1: The man with the pie Hmm, the top of the left part isn't right. It's supposed to be black >.< *goes to fix it* EDIT vol.2: The bride has no pie Okay, fixed it... Somewhat...

Hey all. I haven't posted art here in a very long time, so I thought it'd be time to post again. No, this won't go in my art thread since that one's old and art thread's lose attention real quick. I'm never going to make one again. It's not like I post art very much anyway. A new thread in the Art Studio once in a while won't hurt anyone :P The image is something I made for a thread on DreamYourLifeAway.com. The assignment was to take This Photo and get creative with it. So, instead of a normal photofix, I made this out of it. Tree v.3 I'm still working on it. v.1 and v.2 came before this one (if you didn't notice yet  ). Edit: The foot of the tree is still a bit less sharp than the rest, I think, but I'll fix that later. Enjoy.

The avater fits the banner, that's for sure. Avaters may be plain, which this one is a tad. 6.5/10 The banner isn't quite right. The Bio-Hazard sign is too little for such a big banner, and the colours and size of the banner make it look lower quality. I would atleast decrease the height of the banner with a pixel or 10,15. Though, it's not bad. 6/10

You go have fun on that picture of your's and have mercy on the person behind you ;D By the way, Drix, you handled that situation really well *thumbs up*
Don't talk crazy, Retribution. *sigh*. A skilled graphic artist could make it work, so bleh. Isn't that the point? I like a good challenge! But I can understand your point.
It has some opportunities... It seems pretty hard to complete those circles, so you could give them a different shape in the next image. Great job, Tiger >:3 I would say "Everyone, by the way!" but that seems so suck-upish >.>'

The assassin is overpowered. The boat to the pvp islands is funky... I don't like GW in Asian style, please stick with the European (Dark Ages) style. And the pvp looks like a disco... The login stuff looks better though.. >_> I'm not quite fond of the updates, as you may have noticed. -__-

Okay, missed that part. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, I doubt it, but you never know... A "Search Member" button. I quite often look in certain people their profiles (for example to look at their new sig, or too look at something I saw in it earlier), but I always have to go past that members list. This isn't a really big deal, but sometimes (like today) my computer is a bit too slow to open a lot of pages after eachother. So, just a simple idea. Is there a possibility for a "search member" thingy (like the normal "Search OB" thing)? Where you just fill in a name and you get their profile? (if the thingy doesn't exist already).

The avater is fairly nice. The border is a bit weird though. I'm not fan of other borders than standard ones, unless they really add up to the picture. The quality of the avater image is nice though so I'll say this is a 7/10. Not really a special design, but it looks clean. The banner is... Not good. The image quality is horrible and it's resized weird. The text "Get" looks terrible. And although "Backers" looks smoother, it still doesn't fit the rest of the banner. 3/10 for the banner. And your overal signature is just way too huge for my taste. Signatures shouldn't be longer than a post I think. I just took out my banner. Haha. Haha.

I have a very limited collection of CD's. Now to see if I can call up some from the top of my head. My CD case has been stolen with a lot of my CD's in it ;_; Paul Simon: Shining like a national guitar, You are the one, the Cape Man, Live in National Park, Live in National Park 2005... and more >_>' (mostly burned, because my dad owns every single album of Simon [& Garfunkel]) Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Reanimation Evanescence: Fallen, Anywhere but Home Nickelback: Silver Side Up, The long road Queen: Innuendo, Made in Heaven Soundtracks: Kill Bill I&II, Lion King I&II [double CD], Hunchback of the Notre Dame... Yeah, that's right. Fear me. Disney rocks. As you may have guessed, I don't like spending money on CD's. And then I have loads of CD's that I burned with music of my computer. I have tons of music on that thing. Most of it is stolen from my dad, but the rest is "bought". >_>'

In this society, the meaning of life is quite lame. You go to school as soon as you can handle it, you get work, get children and then you work until you are old and aren't much use anymore. Your children will do the exact same. In the meantime, the world evolves, invents, but keeps the same routine. Oh, and to make sure the routine doesn't get dull, they throw in a war or a disaster every now and then. The more exciting meaning of life will be breaking this chain of events. Yay. Well, I'm a Christian. I believe there's something after this life. We have to make something good of this life, to eventually live happily in the next. Just live as good as you can, by helping other people feel comfortable around here =P To clear up my post: The first part is the pessimistic point of view, the second is my more regular point of view >_>'

Starwind, you are the typical pessimistic American guy, through the whole thread. You're ruining my optimistic mood :\ -
opinions on gun control/right-to-carry concealed weapons
Boo replied to Dale_Valley's topic in General Discussion

This has been proven with numerous tests done on the psycology and even the brain structure of noted serial killers.
I was talking about pickpockets, where did I mention serial killers? There is a huge difference between the one crime and the other. A serial killer is, as the name says, a killer. A pickpocket might just need the money. He doesn't have to be mentally ill, or just think of killing someone. Don't think so narrow minded about this subject, lad. Boba: That's your opinion, I have mine. You live where they have the right to have a gun, I do not. Whoopy, we all lived happily ever after. -

I can already see them grannies on the streets.. "Oh no, he stole my purse, let's shoot the bastard!" EDIT: I see Boba posted before me. They will get them one way or another. Those are only the real criminals. Not the fellows who are just pissed at someone and shoot them. "You stole my Pokemon card ;_;" Bang. Those people don't take the time to buy a gun and then shoot them. -
The new year! whats the first thing you did or are gonna do?
Boo replied to orbindo's topic in General Discussion
I watched TV, ate apple beignets and oliebollen (Dutch New Year's eve specialty) and I every now and then talked to people on IMessengers. At 11:59 however I was just running around in the room to eventually open the bottle of champagne (now that I think of it, I need to find back the cork XD) at 0:00. Then I went to the balcony and watched the fireworks. Normally I would call a lot of people but my provider was practically offline. [edit] I forgot some stuff :P When I noticed I couldn't call anyone, I just mass-IM'd all my messengers XP After that I went online with my Guild Wars account to get myself a fancy hat. As soon as that event was over I went to bed. It was a boring event, but the rest of the eve was fun. What to do in the next year? Graduate, find something nice to study, get a job again and eat pie. -
I personally would never want to set my hands on something that could kill a fellow man. That kind of power is not one I believe we as people should have. I mean really, who are we to decide who dies and who lives? Yeah, this thread may turn out interesting after all.
Basically you can kill people with almost anything :P I think you meant " I never want to set my hands on something that is made to kill a fellow man." Right, sorry couldn't resist. Now to get on the subject. Firearms are lame. I can not make up a single reason to have one, but to use it as selfdefense against someone with a firearm. Which is not necessary if they are not allowed XD Seriously, if you want to protect yourself, just take some karate classes and leave the toys to the army. :) -
By the way Boo Santa Claus is scary enough without the six legs and lance. O.o;
I meant the original German god figure that would appear at Christmas according to German myths =P Right, and now that I post again I'll put up my wishlist: -Charlie and the Chocolate Factory [DVD] -Various CD's That's about it ¬_¬' EDIT: Now to think of it, one of the God's, I think Thor, had a cart with a bunch of animals that would pull it through air... Santa has a sled because he appears in winter... Mysteries are getting solved in this thread *puts on Sherlock Boolmes hat*
